This study centred around the development of a parenting training program for improving parent-child relationships in multi-cultural families and to examine the effects of the program. The goal of this program was to improve parent-child relationships in multi-cultural families. The program consists of 8 sessions and each session employs a variety of activities and teaching methods to help multi-cultural mothers to become more involved in the a program. The participants were 12 mothers of multi-cultural backgrounds in Seoul and Asan city. There 12 mothers were assigned to the experimental group participated in this program for a total of 8 sessions. Data were analyzed according to frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, and paired t-test. The results of this study indicated that this parenting training program for improving parent-child relationships was effective in improving multi-cultural mother's parenting efficacy and reducing their parenting stress.

Purpose - This study aims to examine the relationship between high-performance work systems and organizational ambidexterity. Additionally, it seeks to verify the mediating effect of organizational cultural diversity on this relationship. Design/methodology/approach - The study tested four hypotheses using data from manufacturing companies with more than 100 regular workers, sourced from the Human Capital Corporate Panel (HCCP). For empirical analysis, the generalized least squares (GLS) estimation method was employed, and the hypotheses were verified using a probabilistic effects model. Findings - The study revealed that high-performance work systems improve organizational ambidexterity by enhancing organizational cultural diversity. Research implications or Originality - This study confirms the mediating effect of organizational cultural diversity between high-performance work systems and organizational ambidexterity, explaining how high-performance work systems influence organizational ambidexterity through organizational cultural diversity. Additionally, it identifies an organizational cultural variable that closely aligns with the academic concept of organizational ambidexterity. The study demonstrates that the core elements of high-performance work systems are instrumental in cultivating an organization that simultaneously pursues seemingly competitive heterogeneous values.

Purpose: This study was done to examine the effects of a multicultural education program on nursing students' cultural competence, empathy, and self-efficacy. Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, the participants were assigned to an experimental group (n=40) or a control group (n=40). The data were analyzed using independent t-test, Chi-square or Fisher's exact test, and paired t-test with the SPSS windows 18.0 program. Results: After receiving the multicultural education program, the levels of cultural competence and self-efficacy in the experimental group were higher than in the control group. The level of empathy increased slightly in the experimental group while it decreased in the control group. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that multicultural education is effective in raising the level of cultural competence and self-efficacy in nursing students. Thus, there is a need for continuous effort to integrate multicultural education programs in the nursing curriculum. Repeated study to test effects of these multicultural education programs should be also necessary.

Crowdfunding has emerged as an important financing source for diverse cultural projects and commercial ventures in the early stages. Unlike traditional investment evaluation, where structured financial data is critical, such information is typically unavailable for crowdfunding campaigns. Instead, campaign creators prepare pitches containing essential information about themselves and the campaigns, which are crucial in attracting and persuading contributors. Prior literature has examined the effects of different aspects in campaign pitches, but a comprehensive understanding of the theme is lacking. This study aims to fill this gap by identifying the lexicon of frequently used vocabulary in campaign pitches and examining how they are associated with crowdfunding success. Moreover, we examine how the association differs between culture and commercial crowdfunding campaigns. We randomly collected 50,000 campaigns from the cultural and commercial categories on Kickstarter and extracted the 100 most used verbs in the campaign pitches. Based on a machine learning approach combined with principal component analysis, we constructed sets of verbal factors statistically significant in predicting crowdfunding success. The findings also show that cultural and commercial campaigns consist of different verbal components with different effects on crowdfunding success.

본 연구는 노인의 인적자본, 경제자본, 문화자본이 성공적 노화에 미치는 영향에서 사회활동참여가 매개효과를 가지는지 검증하고자 시행되었다. 연구를 위하여 부산지역에 거주하는 65세 이상의 노인 356명을 대상으로 설문조사하였으며, 구조방정식 모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인자본 중 인적자본과 문화자본은 사화활동참여에 영향을 미치지만 경제자본은 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 노인자본 중 경제자본은 성공적 노화에 영향을 미치지만 인적자본과 문화자본은 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 사회활동참여는 성공적 노화에 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 노인자본 중 인적자본, 경제자본, 문화자본은 모두 사회활동참여를 매개하여 성공적 노화에 영향을 미친다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 성공적 노화를 위한 노인의 자본과 사회활동을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Today, modern society pursues the paradigm of creative city and regeneration. Cultural regeneration of revitalizing locality by utilizing culture catches attention, is a major approach. Public arts is considered as a catalyst of cultural regeneration, and it inspires vitality to declined districts. Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan has accelerated propagation of revitalization only in recent couple of years, and it has been developing with residents' participation continuously. The purpose of this research is to analyse the revitalizing effects of public arts introduction to Gamcheon Culture Village regeneration. In specific, social, cultural, economical, physical and environmental revitalization effects of the village were defined. The research method is questionnaire survey and 320 reponses from residents and visitors were collected. Data were statistically analyzed with SPSS18.0. The effects of public arts introduction to Gamcheon Culture Village regeneration are positive overall. However, according to the districts of the village, having diversity of art projects in both quantity and quality, the perceptions were different. Regeneration with utilizing public arts for revitalizing declined district, the Gamcheon case shed light on the future. The research indicated the value of public arts and some strategies of allocating art projects.

본 연구는 문화관광축제에 대한 방문객의 인식이 축제만족과 축제효과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인함으로 문화관광축제의 운영에 대한 대안을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 문화체육관광부 선정 우수 문화관광축제인 추억의 충장축제 방문객을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 441부를 실증분석에 이용하였다. 분석결과, 문화관광축제 인식 요인이 관광적 인식과 문화적 인식으로 구분되었고, 이들 인식은 축제만족과 축제효과에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 축제를 운영하는 측에서는 방문객의 관광 편의를 위한 노력과 더불어 지역의 고유문화를 방문객들이 정확히 인식할 수 있도록 프로그램화 하는 것이 중요하다는 시사점을 제시하였다.

We suggest that cultural differences among nations should have a significant impact upon the exports of Korean broadcasting contents due to the fact that production and consumption of the contents are influenced by their own cultural aspects. Based on Hofstede's cultural dimensions frequently cited in the literature, we perform empirical analysis to identify the impact of cultural dimensions upon the export amounts by investigating four-year export data of Korean broadcasting industry. In our research model, Hofstede's cultural dimensions and GDP per capita are independent variables and a genre of broadcasting contents is used as a moderating variable. We find in our analysis that three cultural dimensions such as individualism, uncertainty avoidance, masculinity significantly affect the export amount but do not find the impact of power distance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a cultural competence improvement program for maternity nurses. Methods: A quasi-experimental study using a non-equivalent control group pre and posttest design was used. Participants were 67 maternity nurses caring for multicultural pregnant women in G city. The cultural competence improvement program was developed based on the 3-D Puzzle Model and was provided using case-based small group learning methods for the experimental group (n=31). The control group (n=36) did not receive any intervention. Data were collected using self-report structured questionnaires at two time points: prior to the intervention and after the intervention and were analyzed with descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$-test, and t-test. Results: Compared to the control group, the experimental group reported significant positive changes for cultural knowledge (t=6.39, p<.001), cultural awareness (t=3.50, p<.001), and cultural acceptance (t=4.08, p<.001). However, change in cultural nursing behaviors (t=0.92, p=.067) was not significantly different between the two groups. Conclusion: Findings from this study indicate that a cultural competence improvement program with case-based small group learning is a useful intervention strategy to promote multicultural maternity care. Further, strategies to improve cultural nursing behavior should be developed to promote culturally congruent nursing care.

본 연구는 국제결혼이주여성의 문화적응성, 문화적차이, 임파워먼트 간에 관련성에 대해 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 연구결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 국제결혼이주여성의 동화와 분리의 문화적응성은 임파워먼트에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 비해서 결혼이주여성의 통합의 문화적응성은 임파워먼트에 유의한 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 국제결혼이주여성의 불확실성회피와 남성주의의 문화적차이는 임파워먼트에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 이에 비해서 결혼이주여성의 개인주의의 문화적차이는 임파워먼트에 유의한 부의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 국제결혼이주여성의 문화적응성과 문화적차이는 임파워먼트에 유의한 정의 영향을 미쳤다. 국제결혼이주여성의 동화, 분리, 통합과 같은 문화적응성, 불확실성회피, 남성주의, 개인주의의 문화적차이 요인들은 임파워먼트와 밀접한 관련이 있는 요인들로 나타났다.
