Effects of Mixed Application of Chemical Fertilizer and Liquid Swine Manure on Agronomic Characteristics, Yield and Feed Value of Corn Hybrid for Silage in Paddy Field Cultivation

  • This study was performed out to investigate the influence of the mixed application of chemical fertilizer (CF) and liquid swine manure (LSM) on the growth characteristics, dry matter yield, amino acids, minerals, and free sugars in cultivating silage corn on paddy soils. The field experiment was designed in a randomized block design of 3 repetitions with CF 100% treatment (C), CF 70% + LSM 30% treatment (T1), CF 50% + LSM 50% treatment (T2), CF 30% + LSM 70% treatment (T3), and LSM 100% treatment (T4). At this time, the application of LSM was based solely on the nitrogen. Ear length, ear circle, stem diameter, and stem hardness of the silage corn did not show significant differences between treatments. Fresh yield, dry matter yield and TDN yield were highest in T3, whereas the lowest in C treatment (p<0.05). Crude protein, crude fat, and crude ash content were significantly higher in T1, C, and T4 treatment, respectively (p<0.05). However, NDF, ADF and crude fiber content did not show significant difference between treatments. The total mineral content decreased significantly (p<0.05) as the LSM application rate increased. Total composition amino acid content was higher in the order of T1 > T2 > C > T4 > T3 treatment (p<0.05). Free sugar content was higher in the order of T1 > T3 > T4 > T2 > C treatment (p<0.05). Based on the above results, suggests that the mixed application of chemical fertilizer 30~50% and LSM 50~70% (T2 and T3) is the most effective, considering the yield performance and the content of sugar degree and free sugar affecting silage.

제주지역에서 파종기에 따른 청예피의 사료수량 및 조성분 변화 (Effect of Seeding Date on Forage Yield and Chemical Composition of Echinochloa crusgalli var. Frumentacea(Roxb) Wight in Jeju Region)

  • In order to identify the growth characterization, the yield and chemical composition of Jeju barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli var. fiurnentacea(Roxb) Wight) based on seeding date in Jeju region, seeding carried out the 10-day intervals from March 27 to September 30 in 2000, respectively. Plant height was 143.2 cm, showing the highest on seeding date, April 6 among that of any other seeding date. On the other hand, those of early and late seeding gradually decrease. Plant height was 119.2 an in May 16 seeding. The results of stem diameter, number of withering leaves, number of leaves and fresh weight per plant were similar to those of the plant heights. The yield of fresh, dry matter forage, crude protein and TDN found the highest on April 6 seeding, 63.5 MT/ha, 13.9 MTha, 1.1 MT/ha, and 7.6 MT/ha, respectively. In early and late seeding, the yield was gradually decreased. In seeding May 16, the yield found .38.2 MTIha in fresh forage, 6.2 MTha in dry matter forage, 0.7 MT/ha in crude protein and 3.7 MTha in TDN, respectively. According to delaying the seeding date, March 27 to May 16, the contents of crude protein (from 7.9 to 10.8%), ether extract (from 4.6 to 6.0%), nitrogen free extract (from 45.1 to 46.5%), and TDN (from 54.2 to 60.8%) were gradually increased, respectively. On the other hand, those of crude fiber (from 28.9 to 25.6%) and crud ash (from 13.5 to 11.2%) were decreased. These results showed that April 6 was the optimum seeding date with the sole object of feed production of Jeju barnyard grass under the environmental condition like as atmospheric phenomena and soil in Jeju region. 예측알고리즘 적용을 위한 데이터세트 구성이 근적외선 분광광도계를 이용한 옥수수 품질평가에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Representative Dataset Selection on Prediction of Chemical Composition for Corn kernel by Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy)

  • The objectives were to assess the use of near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) as a tool for estimating nutrient compositions of corn kernel, and to apply an NIRS-based indium gallium arsenide array detector to the system for collecting spectra and analyzing calibration equations using equipments designed for field application. Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) was employed to develop calibration equations based on representative data sets. The kennard-stone algorithm was applied to induce a calibration set and a validation set. As a result, the method for structuring a calibration set significantly affected prediction accuracy. The prediction of chemical composition of corn kernel resulted in the following (kennard-stone algorithm: relative) moisture ($R^2=0.82$, RMSEP=0.183), crude protein ($R^2=0.80$, RMSEP=0.142), crude fat ($R^2=0.84$, RMSEP=0.098), crude fiber ($R^2=0.74$, RMSEP=0.098), and crude ash ($R^2=0.81$, RMSEP=0.048). Result of this experiment showed the potential of NIRS to predict the chemical composition of corn kernel.

올방개(Eleocharis tuberosa Roem. et Shult) 가공을 위한 몇가지 성분 분석 (Some Components Analysis for Chinese Water Chestnut Processing)

  • 본 연구에서는 새로운 작물인 올방개를 이용한 가공식품 개발시 필요하고 참고가 될만한 몇가지 식품학적인 기초 성분들을 분석한 자료를 신속하게 제공하고자 하였다. 일반성분은 수분함량 79.40%, 조단백 1.74%, 조지방 0.06%, 조회분 1.10% 조섬유 0.60%, 탄수화물 17.71% 이었다. 유리당 조성은 sucrose가 8.58%, glucose가 1.64%, fructose가 1.58%로서 3가지 주요당이 올방개 착즙액의 고형분량중 약 66.0%를 차지하였으며, maltose도 미량 검출되었다. 칼륨의 함량이 408.57 mg%로 높게 나타났으며, 철분 및 망간은 각각 0.21 mg%, 0.08 mg%로 매우 적게 함유되어 있었다. 비타민 $B_1$$31.2\;{\mu}g/100\;g$ 정도 함유되어 있었고, 비타민 C는 미량이 검출되었다. 관능적인 특성은 향긋한 과일향과 단맛이 주된 풍미였으며, $100^{\circ}C$에서 20분 정도 끓여도 생시료와 거의 비슷한 정도의 아삭아삭함을 유지하였다.

장생 도라지의 화학성분과 생리활성 (Chemical Compositions and Physiological Activities of Doraji(Platycodon grandiflorum))

  • 4년근과 24년근 도라지의 화학성분 및 생리활성을 조사하였다. 24년근 장생 도라지의 화학성분 조성은 수분 82.7% 조단백 1.6% 조지방2.1%, 조회분 0.7% 총당 6.0% 총 식이섬유 2.3% 조사포닌 3.4mg% 및 비타민 C 3.0mg%였으며 4년근과의 함량차이는 크게 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 무기물의 함량은 24년근이 4년근에 비하여 모두 높게 나타났으며 그 중에서 K가 879.9mg/kg 으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 24년근과 4년근의 용매별 추출물의 생리활성 정도는 에탄올>메탄올>물의 순이었고 전자공여능은 24년근이 4년근보다 10-50% 높게 나타났으며 아질산업 소거효과도 10~40% 까지 높게 나타났다.

수국차 잎 추출액을 첨가한 깍두기의 이화학적 및 관능적 특성 (The Physico-chemical and Sensory Characteristics of Kakdoogi Containing Hydrangea serrata Seringe Extract)

  • To evaluate the effect of Hydrangea serrata Seringe extract on kakdoogi(Korean radish kimchi), the kakdoogi was prepared, after supplementation, with Hydrangea serrata Seringe extract(0, 1.25, 2.5 and 5%(v/w)). The quality characteristics of the kakdoogi were investigated during 7 days of fermentation at $20^{\circ}C$. The proximate components of the Hydrangea serrata Seringe leaves were 3.48% crude protein, 6.45% crude lipid, 7.98% crude fiber and 9.32% crude ash. The pH values in the samples with the extract were higher than that of both the control group and the sugar group. The total acidity levels in the sugar group was higher than that of other groups. The sugar group showed higher L value(lightness) than that of kakdoogi fermented with the extract. A value(redness) and B value(yellowness) of the supplemented kakdoogi was lower than that of the control and the sugar group on day 7. The hardness of samples with the extract was higher than that of the sugar group. And the hardness of the groups with the extract was not reduced during the fermentation period. The control group showed higher salinity than the other groups by day 4. The samples with the extract were sweeter than the control group on day 0 then the difference disappeared after day 2. Sourness of all the groups increased during the fermentation period. However the extract did not affect the hardness or overall acceptability of the kakdoogi during fermentation.

수국차 잎 가루를 첨가한 설기떡의 품질 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Sulgidduk Added with Hydrangea serrata Seringe Powder)

  • To find the optimum proportion of Hydrangea serrata Seringe(HSS) powder, rice cakes were prepared with different quantities of Hydrangea serrata Seringe powder instead of sugar. Technical and sensory examinations were then conducted. The proximate components of the HSS leaves were 3.48% crude protein, 6.45% crude lipid, 7.98% crude fiber and 9.32% crude ash. The pH values of samples which replaced 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of sugar with the HSS powder were significantly decreased(p<0.05). The groups with HSS powder showed a lower L value(lightness) and a value(redness) than that of the control group. The B value(yellowness) of the Sulgidduk containing the HSS powder was higher than that of the control group. The hardness of HS2 and HS3 was increased by the addition of the HSS powder. The adhesiveness of Sulgidduk groups with the HSS powder was higher than that of the control group. Springiness was not changed by adding the HSS powder. The cohesiveness of the Sulgidduk was significantly reduced by adding the HSS powder(p<0.001). The groups with no sugar showed the highest gumminess and chewiness. The added HSS powder caused both a darker color and a stronger odor, but the sweetness of the Sulgidduk which replaced the sugar with the HSS powder was decreased compared to the control group. The moisture content and the hardness was not affected by the addition of the HSS powder. The preference of color and taste was not changed by adding the HSS powder. The preference of flavor of the Sulgidduk with the HSS powder showed higher than that of the control. Overall acceptability of the Sulgidduk did not show any significant differences. As a result, Sulgidduk can be replaced 25% and 50% of sugar with the Hydrangea serrata Seringe powder.

솔잎분말 첨가에 따른 밀가루 반죽의 물리적 특성 (Rheological Properties of Dough Added with Pine Needle Powder)

  • 본 연구에서는 솔잎분말을 첨가하여 기능성식빵을 제조하기 위한 반죽의 품질특성을 조사하였다. 일반 성분측정 결과 생 솔잎은 수분 58.1%, 조단백질 4.5%, 조지방 3.9%, 조회분 0.9%, 식이섬유량 9.3%로 나타났다. 반죽의 pH 측정 결파 대조구의 pH는 5.9, 솔잎분말 $1{\sim}3%$ 첨가시에는 $5.8{\sim}5.5$ 범위로 나타났다. 반죽의 호화도는 솔잎분말 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 호화 개시 온도는 증가하였고 최고 점도는 감소하였다. 반죽의 falling number는 솔잎분말 첨가량이 증가할수록 낮아졌다. Farinograph, alveograph에 의한 분석결과 수분흡수율의 경우 솔잎분말 첨가량이 증가할수록 반죽 안정도는 증가하였고, 반죽 발전시간은 감소하였다. Alveograph은 최대압력을 나타내는 P값은 솔잎분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 낮아졌고 부피와 신장성도 솔잎의 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 반죽 발효팽창력 또한 솔잎분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다. 솔잎분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 제빵 반죽의 물리성이 떨어진다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

식품 소재로서 장미꽃의 화학성분 조성 (Chemical Composition of Rose Petals (Rosa hybrida L.) As A Food Material)

  • 다양한 식품 소재의 창출을 목적으로 그 기초자료로서 장미의 화학성분을 조사하였다. 일반성분은 건물기준으로 조단백질 16.3%, 조지방 2.9%, 조회분 5.4%, 조섬유 16.1%였다. 유리당은 fructose, glucose, xylose가 검출되었으며, $\beta$-carotene은 205.2 ug/100 g, ascorbic acid는 129.5 mg/100 g이 함유되어 있었다. 무기질 함량은 K, P, Mg, Ca, Na, Fe순으로 다량 함유하며 K함량이 1,981.7 mg/100 g으로 가장 많았다. 구성 아미노산은 aspartic acid, glutamic acid, lysine, leucine 순으로 많았고, 그 함량은 각각 4,007.3, 1,114.8, 672.6, 661.0 mg/100 g이 었다. 지방산 조성은 76.3%가 불포화지방산이었으며, 그 중 linoleic acid가 58.2%이었다.

토천궁과 일천궁의 화확성분 비교 (Comparision of Chemical Components of Ligusticum chuanzxiong HORT and Cnidium officinale MAKINO)

  • 토천궁과 일천궁이 한방이나 가공시 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있도록 기본적인 화학 성분을 분석하였다. 일반성분은 토천궁이 조단백 함량이 높았으며, 무기질은 일천궁이 토천궁에 비해 칼륨과 나트륨이 높은 반면, 그외는 토천궁이 전체척으로 높았다. 유리당 조성은 sucrose만 검출되었고, fructose와 glucose는 검출되지 않았다. 지방산 조성은 linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, linolenic acid 순으로 구성되었고, 토천궁과 일천궁의 주요 구성아미노산은 글루탐산, 아르기닌, 아스파르트산, 발린 순으로, 대부분 필수아미노산도 고루 분포되어 있었다.
