지역신문이 처한 복합적 위기 상황에 대해 지역신문발전지원특별법에 의한 공적 지원이 시행되었다. 이 법안의 제정 목적은 지역신문의 발전기반을 조성하는 것에 그치지 않고 궁극적으로 여론 다양성을 보장하여 민주주의를 실현함에 있다. 이 연구에서는 공공재로서의 성격을 가지는 지역신문에 투입된 공적 지원이 제도적 평가와 함께 지역민, 즉 수용자의 여론 다양성 보장에 영향을 미치고 있는지, 또 이러한 공적 지원으로 인해 지역신문의 공익적 가치가 증대되고 있는지 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 지역신문의 정기구독자 중 시민단체의 모니터 활동 참여자를 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 진행했다. 지난 3년 동안의 기금 지원에 대한 효과는 기사를 통한 지면의 개선이 가장 컸고 신문사 사원들과 독자들에게서도 인식의 변화가 있었다는 것이다. 기사의 다양성도 증가되었으나 취재비지원에 대해서는 긍정적 평가와 부정적 평가가 공존했고, 대체로 장기적 효과에 대해서는 회의적이었다. 결국 지역의 신문 수용자는 지역신문이 질적인 개선과 함께 여론 다양성 보장을 위해 기금 지원은 필요하나 수용자적 입장에서의 여론 다양성을 보장하는가에 대한 평가를 고려하고 기금 지원의 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안이 마련돼야 한다는 입장이라 할 수 있다. 지역신문법에 대한 수용자 관점의 평가를 알아보는 것은 매우 중요한 의미를 지니는데, 한국사회에서 언론의 역할, 특히 지역 언론의 역할과 기능에 대한 책임을 지역 수용자가 요구할 수 있다는 것은 민주주의를 성장시킬 수 있는 동력이 되기 때문이다.

Pheochromocytoma (PCC) is a rare catecholamine-producing tumor with the incidence in hypertension of 0.1-0.6%. PCC crisis is an endocrine emergency that can lead to hemodynamic disturbance and organ failure such as catecholamine-induced cardiomyopathy. The circulatory collapse caused by it often requires mechanical support. The author reports an unusual case in which a patient who previously underwent surgery for malignant PCC developed catecholamine-induced cardiomyopathy, and successfully recovered using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.

Recently the status of statistics is in a critical condition in the curriculum of the universities. It is largely due to the decrease of applicants for the admission to the universities and growing tendency to prefer the departments that are advantageous for getting a job after graduation. Another reason for the present crisis of statistics is that scholars of statistics and related scholarly associations fail to prepare measures for the activation of statistics. In order to cope with these general problems, this study surveyed the courses which are related with or support the subject of statistics in the department, other than statistics, of two universities in the Yeongnam province. Based on the survey this study aims at suggesting some ways of activation of statistics.

A 72-year-old woman with metastatic lung cancer to bone and brain and with left external iliac vein thrombosis was under the care of a community palliative care provider. She experienced an acute pain crisis due to acute limb ischemia of the left lower limb. Goals-of-care discussions were held with the patient and her family; she prioritized symptom control and end-of-life care at home. The family and patient were aware of her short prognosis. Her complex pain was managed by the community palliative team, and her family was empowered to give subcutaneous injections. We illustrate a case showing the importance of community health services with palliative care support in providing symptom management and support to patient and family caregivers throughout the course of a life-limiting illness. It also highlights family caregivers' potential psychological distress in delivering subcutaneous injections in terminal care for a patient at home.

본 연구는 대구 게임산업을 대상으로 그 기업들의 자체 평가에 기초하여 경영위기 특성과 회복력 수준 그리고 그 대안을 분석하였다. 1990년대 말 자생적으로 태동한 대구 게임산업은 정부와 지원기관의 지원 하에 2000년대 후반까지 급격히 성장하였지만, 2010년대 중반부터 모바일게임 시장의 포화상태 및 국내외 치열한 경쟁 상황에 대응하지 못한 기업이 속출하면서 침체기에 접어들게 되었다. 이에 대해 일부 게임업체들은 제품 차별성 추구와 새로운 판로 개척을 위한 도전적 전략을 취함으로써 위기 상황을 오히려 경쟁력을 강화시키는 계기로 만든 반면, 위기 대응에 소극적이었던 기업들은 경영위기를 벗어나지 못했다. 또한 회복력 수준을 분석한 결과, 대구 게임업체들은 충격에 즉각적으로 대응(신속성)하고 타격받은 부분을 대체(대체성)하는 수준은 낮지만 내부적으로 충분한 자원을 동원(자원동원성)할 수 있는 수준은 높았다. 하지만 대구 게임산업이 과거에 비해 더욱 복잡한 다중 공간적 스케일의 환경변화에 직면하고 있기 때문에, 앞으로 회복력은 개별기업 차원의 노력을 넘어서 게임산업 생태계 측면에서 약한 부분을 보완할 수 있는 전략을 통해 강화되어야 할 것이다.

Considering Korean feminist theatre is not successful at all these days, it is needed to find the reasons of its crisis. As two Korean feminist theatre Scholars argued, the crisis owed to the structural problem from the start. That is the Korean feminist theatre started and developed depending on the imported popular feminist plays without social and cultural self-consciousness. Once the imported feminist theatres were flourished, some theatre companies pursued the commercial success blurring the feminist issues. It was resulted into the intentional ignorance in and out of the theatre society. While, some feminist plays were too inclined to the agit-prop without artistic sophistication. This essay tries to examine how the feminist theatres have been developing and what kinds of feminist performances have been made until now. And it intends to emphasize that the play text should be based on the Korean women's past, present, and future reality. Besides, they have to delve into the problem by which the Korean women were trapped in historical, social, and cultural environment. To make the women's matter the social issue at present and fur the future, the Korean feminist theatre should re-find its place as the socio-cultural forum. First, Korean theatre should cooperate with the other women's group crossing the different disciplines of the society, the culture, the politics etc . Secondly, we need to observe and watch where and how the distortion happens in women's matter, and react to correct it. Thirdly, we need to discover, to support, and to protect the women centered perspective of some playwrights as well as the performers. Co-writing or co-performing is also very positive to diversify the women's subjects. Lastly, to protect the feminist theatre against the consumerism, they need to have the financial support from the government or some civil society.

This study analyzes the content of YouTube Vlog videos created by patients of Coronavirus disease 2019 ("COVID-19") in South Korea and viewer comments on those videos. As this new infectious disease started to sweep the world in late 2019 and early 2020, the public started facing fear and uncertainty stemming from the lack of sufficient and accurate information about the virus. At the same time, as COVID-19 patients in South Korea were treated in isolation to prevent the spread of the virus, the patients themselves were experiencing anxiety and exclusion from the society. During this period, there was an increase in YouTube Vlog videos created by the patients in which they shared their experiences going through the treatment and recovery processes. To understand how these YouTube Vlog videos were being used by the patients to connect with the society and seek support in a state of isolation and anxiety, this study conducted a qualitative multi-case analysis of three sample YouTube Vlog video channels to analyze their content, as well as a lexicon-based sentiment analysis of viewer comments to understand the experiences and reactions of viewers. The patients' YouTube Vlog videos showed that they shared similar stages of progress, despite each emphasizing a different main theme. Overall, the tone of the viewer comments became increasingly positive over time, although with some variance among different patient cases and stages. The results confirmed that Vlogs of patients played a significant role in reducing the uncertainty around COVID-19 and strengthening social support for the patients. The findings of this study can improve an understanding of the psychological and behavioral aspects of patient experience in isolated treatment and the impact of shared communication among members of society in times of crisis.

The accelerated pace of climate crisis due to continuous industrialization and greenhouse gas emissions necessitates sustainable solutions that simultaneously address mitigation and adaptation to climate change. Naturebased Solutions (NbS) have gained prominence as viable approaches, with Green Infrastructure being a representative NbS. Green Infrastructure involves securing green spaces within urban areas, providing diverse climate adaptation functions such as removal of various air pollutants, carbon sequestration, and isolation. The proliferation of Green Infrastructure is influenced by the quantification of improvement effects related to various projects. To support decision-making by assessing the climate vulnerability of Green Infrastructure, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has developed i-Tree Tools. This study proposes a comprehensive evaluation approach for climate change adaptation types by quantifying the climate adaptation performance of urban Green Infrastructure. Using i-Tree Canopy, the analysis focuses on five urban green spaces covering more than 30 hectares, considering the tree ratio relative to the total area. The evaluation encompasses aspects of thermal environment, aquatic environment, and atmospheric environment to assess the overall eco-friendliness in terms of climate change adaptation. The results indicate that an increase in the tree ratio correlates with improved eco-friendliness in terms of thermal, aquatic, and atmospheric environments. In particular, it is necessary to prioritize consideration of the water environment sector in order to realize climate change adaptive green infrastructure, such as increasing green space in urban areas, as it has been confirmed that four out of five target sites are specialized in improving the water environment.

1997년 말의 경제위기 상황 이후 한국의 부동산 시장에서의 공급 증가 및 수요의 위축으로 부동산 가격이 크게 폭락하였다. 주택 시장에 있어서도 실질소득이 감소와 주택금융의 부족 등에 의한 수요의 감소로 단기간 동안 주택가격이 급격히 하락하였다. 그러나, 부동산 경기 부양을 유도하는 정책적인 기제에 의해 1998년 말 이후 주택가격이 다시 상승하게 되었다. 이 경우 주택 가격 하락기나 그 이후의 회복기에 도시별 격차가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 각 도시들은 주택 가격의 하락률과 상승률의 차이에 따라 4개 그룹으로 구분될 수 있다. 몇몇 도시들에서는 주택 가격의 하락기에는 급격한 하락을 보인 대신 상승기에는 다시 비교적 빠른 상승세를 보여 경제 위기 이전의 상황으로 그 수준이 거의 회복되었다. 그러나, 반면에 다른 몇몇의 도시들에서는 주택시장이 침체에서 벗어나지 못한 채 회복기 이후에도 계속 하락하는 추세를 보였다. 이러한 격차는 주택 매매 가격뿐만 아니라 주택 전세 가격에도 뚜렷이 나타났다. 특히, 수도권 일대의 전세가격 상승 정도는 주택 시장 침체기에 나타났던 하락을 상회하였고, 일부 지역의 재개발 계획과 그에 대한 기대 심리로 인해 전세 수요의 급증을 초래하기도 하였다. 결과적으로 금융위기에 따른 경제 침체기를 경험하고 극복하는 과정에서 도시간 주택 시장의 격차는 더 크게 벌어지게 되었다.

Purpose: This study is to analyze the changes of consumption patterns to diagnose the economic impacts on consumers' market during COVID-19, and to suggest implications to overcome the new social and economic crisis of Jeju Island. Research design, data, and methodology: We collected a set of credit card transaction records issued by BC Card Company from merchants in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province for past 4 years from 2017 to 2020 from the Jeju Data Hub run by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The big data contains details of approved credit card transactions including the approval numbers, amount, locations and types of merchants, time and age of users, etc. The researchers summed up amount in monthly basis, transforming big data to small data to analyze the changes of consumption before and after COVID-19. Results: Sales fell sharply in transportation industries including airlines, and overall consumption by age group decreased while the decrease in consumption among the seniors was relatively small. The sales of Yeon-dong and Yongdam-dong in Jeju City also fell significantly compared to other regions. As a result of the paired t-test of all 73 samples in Jeju City, the p-value of the mean consumption of the credit card in 2019 and 2020 is significant, statistically proven that the total consumption amount in the two years is different. Conclusions: We found there are sensitive spots that can be strategically approached based on the changes in consumption patterns by industry, region, and age although most of companies and small businesses have been hit by COVID-19. It is necessary for local companies and for the government to be focusing their support on upgrading services, in order to prevent declining sales and job instability for their employees, creating strategies to retain jobs and prevent customer churn in the face of the crisis. As Jeju Province is highly dependent on the tertiary industry, including tourism, it is suggested to create various strategies to overcome the crisis of the pandemic by constantly monitoring the sales trends of local companies.
