Purpose: This study discusses the creative industry phenomenon which has different business characteristics both from resources and production processes to distribution. The study intends to analyze the effect of entrepreneurial orientation and market orientation on business performance by using absorptive capacity as a mediator. Research design, data, and methodology: Using the quantitative method, data were collected from 97 respondents, who are managers or owners of creative industry businesses in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Data analyzed used Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Model. Results: The results of this study reveal that entrepreneurial orientation has no significant effect on business performance and has indirectly a trough absorptive capacity. Market orientation has a significant effect on business performance and indirectly through absorptive capacity. Another result is that absorptive capacity has a significant effect on business performance. Conclusions: When absorptive capability stresses the assimilation and exploitation of knowledge and market intelligence that has been learned to boost business performance improvements, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation offer knowledge and experience to business processes including the creation of value distribution in the creative industries.

The purpose of this thesis is to contribute in establishing the objectives of government policies through an empirical analysis on the relational characteristics surrounding the self-employed creative enterprises under the current circumstances where the specific empirical studies on the self-employed creative enterprises haven't been performed. According to the result of verification, the social capitals such as reliability, reciprocity and network are necessary due to the characteristics possessed by the self-employed creative enterprises while the reliability between cooperative enterprises is created and the cooperative relationship continues when the enterprises are faithful to their intrinsic activities such as the improvement of productivity rather than the entrepreneur spirit. Such win-win cooperation was eventually shown as having a positive effect on the performance of enterprises.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of directors' coaching leadership on teachers' play implementation competencies and the mediation effects of teachers' reflective thinking and creative job performance by conducting a structural relationship analysis. Methods: The subjects of this study were child care teachers who were purposefully sampled from the metropolitan area which includes Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi Province. A total of 267 questionnaires were analyzed after excluding poor or incomplete questionnaires by use of SPSS Statistics 25.0 and the AMOS 21.0. Results: Directors' coaching leadership was positively correlated with teachers' reflective thinking, creative job performance, and their play implementation competencies. Directors' coaching leaderships directly and indirectly influenced teachers' play implementation competencies, which was mediated by teachers' reflective thinking and their creative job performance. Conclusion/Implications: Directors' coaching leadership has a significant implication for teachers' play implementation competencies which became more important after the national curriculum standards had been revised.

The present study examined gender differences between science-gifted students and general students in creative thinking, personality, environment and performance in science. Subjects were 171 eighth grade students, 66 gifted in science and 105 general students. Data were analyzed by ANOVA and Stepwise Multiple Regression. Sex differences between the science-gifted and general students were found only in several subcategories of the dependent variables. The most critical predictors of creative performance in science were the title abstraction factor in gifted boys and general girls, and the resistance of enclosing factor in general boys.

This study is intended to look into the structural relationships between project manager's creative thinking, entrepreneurship, and project performance. To achieve this, research model and hypothesis were established to carry out statistical analysis based on the results of an empirical sample survey. The findings showed that project manager's creative thinking didn't improve project satisfaction directly, but it improved project satisfaction through the mediating effects of project manager's entrepreneurship. While it had a direct effect on perceived project performance, project manager's entrepreneurship was not mediated in this process. This suggests that even if project managers have a high expertise, thinking skill and motivation as creative thinking in working on the project, they have the limitation in leading to customer satisfaction from a personal perspective.

Current graph mining algorithms suffers from performance issues when querying patterns are in increasingly massive network graphs. However, from our observation most data graphs inherently contains recurring semantic subgraphs/substructures. Most graph mining algorithms treat them as independent subgraphs and perform computations on them redundantly, which result in performance degradation when processing massive graphs. In this paper, we propose an algorithm which exploits these inherent recurring subgraphs/substructures to reduce graph sizes so that redundant computations performed by the traditional graph mining algorithms are reduced. Experimental results show that our graph compression approach achieve up to 69% reduction in graph sizes over the real datasets. Moreover, required time to construct the compressed graphs is also reasonably reduced.

Despite the important role of the transformational leadership and Creative Climate to achieve firms' sustainable competitive advantage, there has been limited empirical studies linking the transformational leadership and creative climate in employee's innovative performance. This study investigated the impact of transformational leadership on innovative performance based on employees of R&D department in IT services. This paper also investigated the mediating role of creative climate and moderating role of employee's innovative tendency in this relationship. Main findings of our empirical analysis are as follows. While the relationships between transformational leadership and innovative performance was positively associated, creative climate had positive effect on innovative performance. As expected, we also found that the creative climate had positively mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and innovative performance. Also, the innovative tendency has statistically significant moderating effect on this relationship. Based on the findings, we have suggested theoretical and practical implications while future research directions with limitations of the research are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to propose a fashion design creativity convergence education program based on creative thinking that can be effectively used to create a creative fashion design in the fashion education field, and to verify the suitability of this program and its effectiveness in improving creativity. To this end, a fashion design creative convergence program combining divergent thinking and convergence thinking was designed, and an experimental study was conducted among college students in the fashion design department. Creativity evaluation was conducted by evaluating students' creative ability and creativity of fashion design results. In addition, an open survey was conducted to collect learners' opinions on the suitability of the program and the convergence process of divergent and convergent thinking. As a result of this study, it was found that the fashion design creative convergence education program based on creative thinking improves the creative competency of major learners of fashion design and is the learning performance competency in the process of producing creative results. This study is meaningful as it is a basic study that proposes a fashion design education program to foster the creative competency of fashion design majors, and is expected to be used in various ways in the educational field.

This study applied upgrades to the processes of a 10 MW wet amine $CO_2$ capture pilot plant and conducted performance evaluation. The 10 MW $CO_2$ Capture Pilot Plant is a facility that applies 1/50 of the combustion flue gas produced from a 500 MW coal-fired power plant, and is capable of capturing up to 200 tons of $CO_2$. This study aimed to quantitatively measure efficiency improvements of post-combustion $CO_2$ capture facilities resulting from process upgrades to propose reliable data for the first time in Korea. The key components of the process upgrades involve absorber intercooling, lean/rich amine exchanger efficiency improvements, reboiler steam TVR (Thermal Vapor Recompression), and lean amine MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression). The components were sequentially applied to test the energy reduction effect of each component. In addition, the performance evaluation was conducted with the absorber $CO_2$ removal efficiency maintained at the performance evaluation standard value proposed by the IEA-GHG ($CO_2$ removal rate: 90%). The absorbent used in the study was the highly efficient KoSol-5 that was developed by KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation). From the performance evaluation results, it was found that the steam consumption (regeneration energy) for the regeneration of the absorbent decreased by $0.38GJ/tonCO_2$ after applying the process upgrades: from $2.93GJ/ton\;CO_2$ to $2.55GJ/tonCO_2$. This study confirmed the excellent performance of the post-combustion wet $CO_2$ capture process developed by KEPCO Research Institute (KEPRI) within KEPCO, and the process upgrades validated in this study are expected to substantially reduce $CO_2$ capture costs when applied in demonstration $CO_2$ capture plants.

This study aims to develop a concept based on empirical research on improving optimal business performance. This goal is achieved by examining the relationship between variables of entrepreneurial orientation, talent management, market orientation, and business performance. The construction of the relationship between research variables, namely entrepreneurial orientation, talent management, on business performance is mediated by market orientation on handicraft businesses in Indonesia. The sampling method was used to collect data from 145 businessmen in Indonesia, using surveys and questionnaires. Data was collected using a survey technique carried out from June 2020 to December 2020. The data obtained was analyzed using the PLS Pro 19. This study developed 9 hypotheses that were tested directly, indirectly, and through mediation. This study has five findings. First, Entrepreneurship Orientation does not directly affect Business Performance. Second, Entrepreneurship Orientation also has a significant direct effect on Talent Management and market orientation. Third, Talent Management and market orientation have a direct and significant impact on business performance. Fourth, market orientation mediates the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance. Fifth, talent management mediates the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on business performance. The results show that entrepreneurial orientation mediated by talent management and market orientation can improve creative industry business performance for the better.
