  • This research is a case study of the changes of students's problem solving ability and affective characteristics when we apply to general students MG-CPS model which is creative problem solving model for gifted students. MG-CPS model which was developed by Kim and Lee(2008) is a problem solving model with 7-steps. For this study, we selected 7 first grade students from girl's high school in Seoul. They consisted of three high level students, two middle level students, and two low level students and then we applied MG-CPS model to these 7 students for 5 weeks. From the study results, we found that most students's describing ability in problem understanding and problem solving process were improved. Also we observed that high level students had improvements in overall problem solving ability, middle level students in problem understanding ability and guideline planning ability, and that low level students had improvements in the problem understanding ability. In affective characteristics, there were no significant changes in high and middle level classes but in low level class students showed some progress in all 6 factors of affective characteristics. In particular, we knew that the cause of such positive changes comes from the effects of information collection step and presenting step of MG-CPS model.

  • As a result of introducing robot assisted learning which utilizes social robots or telepresence robots in language learning or special education, research on technology acceptance model for robot-assisted learning is also being conducted. The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model of intelligent robot has been studied, but of tele-operated robot is insufficient. The purpose of this paper is to estimate the UTAUT model by pre-service teachers who experienced telepresence robot-assisted learning that can be done in future school. It is found that the estimated UTAUT model consists of more concise factors than social robots, and the importance of perceived enjoyment is higher. In other words, the pre-service teachers showed significant acceptance of tele-operated robots with enhanced enjoyment composed of its mobility, communication, and touchable appearance of the face and body.

  • Continued jobless growth in economy, coupled with the current economic recession, is aggravating the situation of job market. In order to create more jobs and reduce the economic gap in a society, an independent creative firm of a sole entrepreneurs is suggested as an alternative mean. Understanding entrepreneurial motivations of a sole entrepreneur will be helpful in developing educational programs on starting an independent creative firm and in establishing a relevant government policy. This study, therefore, proposes a new model on entrepreneurial motivations in the independent creative firm and performs case study. The results of the study show that the personal environment and the personal characteristics of entrepreneurs have much effects on motivation of starting the independent creative firms. Among the personal environments, entrepreneurs' educational backgrounds, work experiences, and personal networks have great influences on entrepreneurial motivations. The processes of sustained entrepreneurship involve: (a) the determination of business ideas and goals, (b) the inception of a new business and managerial activities, (c) the entrepreneur's assessment of both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards of business performances, and (d) the adjustment of business ideas and goals in accordance with the results of the assessment. The results of the study could be applied in developing educational programs and consulting guidelines on independent creative firms and in establishing government's supportive policies on the firm.

  • Several researchers in the early days have studied the concept of creativity and its definition, but with the emergence of an unprecedented infectious disease, creativity attracts more attention in the academic world these days. It is because the ability to respond to change and create something that did not exist before has become an essential competency for survival. Therefore, we proposes a creativity textbook that can be used for teacher training based on a creative education practical strategy model for the purpose of enhancing the creativity of teachers in the field through analysis of various prior studies on creative education. And also, we developed the textbook to teach the principles of information security using creative storytelling techniques. In the teacher training using the textbook, the survey was conducted with 40 questions consisting of originality, fluency, elaboration, synthesis and organization factors in order to confirm the change in the teacher's creativity, and all factors were significantly improved. The textbooks developed in this study are meaningful in that it has increased the utilization of teachers' field education. We hope that this thesis will provide implications for the development of creative fusion textbooks, and related research will be actively conducted in the future.

  • The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the college students' implicit theory of Korean creativity. This study deals with the degree to which the students exploit the creativity, and the obstacles for them to exploit the creativity. Another purpose of this study is to explore their implicit knowledge of Korean creative environments. The results are as follows. The implicit knowledge of Korean creativity could be characterized by the following key words: 'flexibility', 'application', 'transformation', 'originality', 'perseverance', 'not being stereotyped', 'esthetic flavor' and 'understanding-new-by-exploring-old'. Students thought themselves to be more or less creative. Students in art and physical education, and male students estimated themselves more creative than other discipline and female. They thought that socio-institutional factors such as educational system focused on the college entrance test are the most serious obstacles against creativity. About half of the students thought the creative persons would have been raised in poor family whereas other students thought differently. The home environment of the creative person was thought to be characterized by the words such as democratic, free and encouraging. Creative persons were thought to be maladaptive school life, but good at peer relations. This study will be used as a pioneer research which suggest a model of Korean creativity.

  • Magazines on specific genres have been operating collaborative, co-working and collective production systems for value maximization using an adaptation strategy on the dynamic, complex and uncertain value network of the magazine industry. The study used a case study method, and data collection was performed by observational research, depth interviews and survey research. The subjects of the study were 'magazine industry', 'magazine firm and community', and 'collaboration system within creative users'. According to the research results, the ecosystem of magazines on a specific genre has been evolving into an innovative value network system, which is combined with the magazine firm, community users and magazine platform. Second, the rapid introduction of smart device environment changes the way of the collaborating system, in which an action and interaction came out within the community, creative users and magazine firms. Third, the production agency shows strong action and interaction, which fits the magazine platform within the ecosystem of a magazine on a specific genre well. This model has a similar fractal structure to the game, publishing, drama, movie, comic, and animation contents industry, converging to an innovative technology-based-creative-industry.

  • We investigated whether divergent thinking attitudes mediate the relationship between self-esteem and creative teaching beliefs among teachers. We examined differences in the mediating model we proposed in the groups of pre-service and in-service child care teachers. We found differences in the pre-service and in-service child care teachers in the proposed mediating model. Especially in the pre-service child care teachers, the mediating effect of divergent thinking attitudes was confirmed. There was a significant effect from self esteem to creative teaching beliefs and also a significant effect from divergent thinking attitudes to creative teaching beliefs. But in-service child care teachers, there was neither direct nor indirect effect of self-esteem to creative teaching beliefs. Suggestions for more studies and for better in-service education for the pre-service and in-service child care teachers are recommended for the future.
