The quantitative step held the findings about customer satisfaction level in relation to the quality of services provided by offices, through an electronic survey based on the Servqual Scale developed by Parasuraman et al. (1988), which measures the difference between customer's expectations and perception in five dimensions: tangibility, reliability, understanding, safety and empathy. The results shown that Banco do Brasil customers' are satisfied with services offered through the digital model and the new business structure, in which is offered a humanized service together with the best technology. • The study investigates the causal factors affecting mobile banking services acceptance by customers in Thailand. This study employs quantitative research methodology and non-probability sampling to draw 400 mobile banking users from the population who are the mobile banking users of commercial banks in Thailand. The online questionnaires were used as a research tool to collect data with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient as 0.931. By using the structural equation model to analyze data, the results have shown that service quality, perceived usefulness, perceived ease-of-use, safety in use, and social factors influenced mobile banking services acceptance by customers in Thailand.By checking the harmony with the statistics χ2 = 108.618, df. = 86, χ2/df. = 1.263, p-value = .050, CMIN/DF =1.263, GFI = .989, AGFI=.962, TLI= .962, CFI = .976, RMSEA = .037,along with testing the weight factor. In conclusion, the research model was found to be harmonious with the empirical data at the significance level 0.05. The findings of this study suggest that the commercial banks should apply this research to understand the acceptance behavior of mobile banking users, also to determining marketing strategies, identifying opportunities and creating a competitive advantage for their services in the future.

  • In modern society, designers started feeling moral and social responsibility in the aspect of environment as a position of suggesting something new. Rather than creating another waste to make something innovative, the concept of Upcycling which is about adding design or utilization to the existing recyclable materials to raise their value to products or art works has started settling down. Among them, there have been various researches on the use of offcut waste to be dumped. Such use of waste can be found in Jogakbo (patchwork), one of our traditional boudoir crafts. This could be connected to the concept of the modern Upcycling in the aspect of giving new values to the wasted pieces of fabric through needlework. Therefore, this study suggested Stitch work as new Upcycling furniture by seeking for the common connections between Upcycling and traditional Jogakbo, and then reinterpreting them in the same viewpoint. It was an opportunity not only to rediscover 'the esthetics of waste' by changing the awareness of 'behavior of dumping', but also to reinterpret or reconsider the tradition. Based on this, it is expected to continuously have new attempts to use offcut waste for eco-friendly design in the future, and also to have opportunities to seek for new directions of Upcycling to rediscover new values through the revaluation of valuelessness.

  • Although flood is a very common natural disaster in Bangladesh, recently Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh got flooded even in moderate rainfall. Accordingly, on January 2002 the sale and use of polythene bags were banned, by identifying it as one of the main causes for such flooding. Now the question arises, whether only polythene shopping bags are alone responsible for causing water logging problem. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to detect the reason(s) for the recent prolonged water logging problem in Dhaka City, even by small amount of rainfall. Both contingent valuation method and remote sensing technique were used for comparison of the results. The results of the study indicated that, not only polythene bags, but also unplanned land filling is also liable for creating water logging problem in Dhaka City. Finally, the study suggested that, the value of wetlands lost, which is directly related to the recent water logging problem, is more higher than what actually thought by the citizens of Dhaka City.

  • As the cities developed and grew into larger metropolises, land value grew and land invariably became an asset. One of very critical causalities of such widespread need for development was the urban residence that got converted into cesspools of urban slum, major crime area and rapidly degraded. Incessant population growth of these cities called for more land to build residences especially the economically affordable and safe housings were needed for the citizens of none or low-income community. However, not enough attentions have yet been given to the essential basics of human habitation that exist within metropolitan limits by social, economical and political aspects. The following paper studies and elaborates the development motivation adopted by the government to develop public housing in the United States under the technical guidance of supporters and developers from national and international communities. The paper discusses current situation of public housing in the United States with a focus on understanding the present status of public housing and physical condition of their surroundings, strategies for fund mobilization, types of local involvement and community participation, ways of continuous monitoring and maintenance, etc. thereby creating a self-sustaining and integrated management plan for public housings in the future.

  • Increasing competitive pressure, the constantly accelerating transformation of the economy, and a stronger focus on value creation have initiated the search for sustainable sources of competitive advantage in organizations. In this context, the concept of treating organizational knowledge as a valuable strategic resource has become quite popular recently. Knowledge has become the most critical component in the struggle for sustained competitive advantage and knowledge management (KM) has also been described for its possible role in creating sustainable competitive advantage. In order to examine the contingency between KM resources, KM strategies, and KM performance of organizations, a contingency model of KM, which is based on resource-based theory as well as knowledge-based theory, is developed from the information systems and strategic management literature in order to assess the following questions: (i) What KM resources affect the organization's KM strategies? (ii) Is there a relationship between KM strategies and organizational performance enhanced by KM? A detailed exploratory analysis of survey responses from 79 Korean companies provides the following significant findings: (i) This study found support for the proposed contingency model of KM; (ii) The organization's KM strategies are determined by social resources and its capabilities; (iii) An organization with a culture-based KM strategy is more likely to enhance organizational KM performance than an organization with a technology-based KM strategy.

  • According to the Post Keynesian endogenous money theory, money is created by the bank deposit which is dependent on the banks' supply of loan. And the demand for loans is dependent on investment by firms. In the money creating process, real value(or investment) and money are connected with banks' credit. In this paper, we investigated Keynes and Post Keynesian endogenous money theory with critical reviews of Hwang (2005). We came to three conclusions. First, Post Keynesian endogenous money theory is based on Keynes' theory. Second, Keynes' endogeneity of money is essentially different from that of Wicksellian. Third, focusing on the differences of the starting point of the arguments not on the conclusions, two Post Keynesian views, namely horizontalists and structuralists are compatible with liquidity preference theory in the Keynes' system.

  • Recent social aspects such as change in population structure, preference to eco-friendly lifestyle, potential for high-tech agriculture are increasing the public attention to returning to farming and rural areas. Especially, retired people who have a longer life expectancy than in the past seek to find a beginning of their later years in farming and rural life. This phenomenon is expected to form new value on rural areas and create new culture for the aged. In order to suggest a futuristic residential development plan for the retiree, this thesis first analyzes 'MARPA(Maison d'Accueil Rurale pour Personnes Ag$\acute{e}$es)' through reference research, site visit and interview with professionals and based on this suggest solutions applicable to Korean conditions. This thesis concludes that residential development plan apt to local characteristics, marketing strategies and administrative system through network and specialized maintenance system are required. In addition, it is contended that interaction and cooperation with local community, various support on creating regional income and residential development plan being in harmony with existing community are needed.
