A statistical analysis of the fat mass experimental data using random coefficient model (변량계수모형을 이용한 체지방 실험자료에 관한 통계적 분석)

  • Thirty six female students participated in the experiment of the fat mass weight loss. they kept diary for foods they ate every day, took a picture of the foods, transmitted the picture to the experimenter by the camera phone, and consulted him about fat mass loss once a week for 8 weeks period. Fat mass weight and its related factors of the students had been measured repeatedly every week during 8 weeks, The repeated measurement data were used for applying various random coefficient models. And hence optimal random coefficient model was selected. From the optimal model, the baseline, body mass index, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol and time of the fixed factors were very significant. The fixed quadratic time effect existed. The variance components corresponding to the subject effect, linear time effect of the random coefficients were all positive. Thus random coefficients up to the linear terms were considered as the optimal model. The treatment effect reduced the weight loss to an average of 2.1kg at the end of the period.

The Impact of Organizational Justice, Empowerment on the Nursing Task Performance of Nurses: Focused on the Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment (간호사의 조직공정성, 임파워먼트가 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향: 직무만족과 조직몰입의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural model on the Nursing Task Performance of Hospital Nurses. Methods: Data collection was done by the 200 hospital nurses from May 1st to May 20th, 2013 in Seoul city. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analyzed using AMOS 19.0 and the maximum likelihood minimization function. The goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMR, RMSEA and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. Results: First, hospital nurses' organizational justice and empowerment was not found to have a significant direct effect on nursing task performance. Second, organizational justice and empowerment had a direct effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, organizational commitment was found to have a significant direct effect on nursing task performance. Forth, hospital nurses' empowerment was found to have a significant direct effect on nursing task performance. Conclusion: Nurses' nursing task performance was influenced by organizational justice, empowerment, and organizational commitment. In order to increase the degree of nursing task performance in hospital nurse, it is necessary to develop the nursing program and its application considering hospital nurses' organizational justice and empowerment and organizational commitment.

  • The 3-dimensional deformation measurement by the terrestrial photogrammetry is consist of 3-dimensional coordinates computation, displaced point detection and deformation estimation of object targets. In this study, at the first step of deformation analysis, the variation of the variance-covariance matrix for the exterior orientation elements was analyzed by the increment of the ground control points and the photos in the Bundle adjustment. And then, to give the constraints for improving accuracy of ground control points, the concept of Free-Network adjustment was applied to Bundle adjustment. As a result, we knew that it was desired in the accuracy and the economy, the observation time when the numbers of ground control point and photo were respectively 6 points and 3 photos. In addition, in the case of applying the concept of Free Network adjustment in Bundle adjutment, it was desirable that the space distance for the constraints is distributed outside.

A Structural Relationship between the Related Variables of Adolescence's Suicidal Ideation (청소년의 자살생각 관련변인들 간의 인과적 구조분석 : 가족응집성, 가족적응성, 자아존중감, 집단따돌림, 그리고 우울을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships between variables related to the Suicidal Ideation of Adolescences. A total of 923 Middle school students residing in Daegu City completed questionnaires which assessed family adaptability, family cohesion, self-esteem, bullying victimhood, depression and suicidal ideation. The sample variance-covariance matrix was analyzed using AMOS 20.0, and a maximum likelihood minimization function. Goodness of fit was evaluated using the SRMS, RMSEA, and its 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. The results were as follows : First, the variables of family adaptability and family cohesion did not have a statistically significant direct impact on adolescence's suicidal ideation, although they may well have an indirect effect on suicidal ideation through self-esteem, bullying victimhood and depression. Second, Self-esteem and bullying victimhood had significant direct effects on depression and suicidal ideation. Moreover, they also had an indirect effect on suicidal ideation through self-esteem. Third, depression had a substantial direct effect on suicidal ideation. Finally, self-esteem did not indicate a direct effect on bullying victimhood.

  • Generally, traditional approaches to track the target position are to estimate ranges and bearings by 2-D MUSIC (MUltiple 519na1 Classification) method. and to associate estimates of 2-D MUSIC made at different time points with the right targets by JPDA (Joint Probabilistic Data Association) filter in the near field. However, the disadvantages of these approaches are that these have the data association Problem in tracking multiple targets. and that these require the heavy computational load in estimating a 2-D range/bearing spectrum. In case multiple targets are adjacent. the tracking performance degrades seriously because the estimate of each target's Position has a large error. In this paper, we proposed a new tracking algorithm using Position innovations extracted from the senor output covariance matrix in the near field. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the computer simulations dealing with the tracking of multiple closing and crossing targets.

  • Fourty five ancient Korean glass pieces have been determined for 19 elements such as Ag, As, Br, Ce, Co, Cr, Eu, Fe, Hf, K, La, Lu, Na, Ru, Sb, Sc, Sm, Th and Zn, and for one such as Pb by instrumental neutron activation analysis and by atomic absorption spectrometry, respectively. The multivariate data have been analyzed for the relation among elemental contents through the variance-covariance matrix. The data have been further analyzed by a principal component mapping method. As the results training set of 5 class have been chosen, based on the spread of sample points in an eigen vector plot and archaeological data. The 5 training set consisting of 36 species and a test set consisting of 9 species bave finally been analyzed for the assignment to certain classes or outliers through the statistical isolinear multiple component analysis (SIMCA). The results have showed the whole species for 5 training set and 3 species in the test set are assigned appropriately and these are in accord with the results by principal component mapping.

Hedging effectiveness of KOSPI200 index futures through VECM-CC-GARCH model (벡터오차수정모형과 다변량 GARCH 모형을 이용한 코스피200 선물의 헷지성과 분석)

  • In this paper, we consider a hedge portfolio based on futures of underlying asset. A classical way to estimate a hedge ratio for a hedge portfolio of a spot and futures is a regression analysis. However, a regression analysis is not capable of reflecting long-run equilibrium between a spot and futures and volatility clustering in the conditional variance of financial time series. In order to overcome such defects, we analyzed KOSPI200 index and futures using VECM-CC-GARCH model and computed a hedge ratio from the estimated conditional covariance-variance matrix. In real data analysis, we compared a regression and VECM-CC-GARCH models in terms of hedge effectiveness based on variance, value at risk and expected shortfall of log-returns of hedge portfolio. The empirical results show that the multivariate GARCH models significantly outperform a regression analysis and improve hedging effectiveness in the period of high volatility.

  • It has well known that MUSIC and ESPRIT algorithms estimate angle of arrival(AOA) with high resolution by eigenvalue decomposition of the covariance matrix which were obtained from the array antennas. However, the disadvantage of MUSIC and ESPRIT is that they are computationally ineffective, and then they are difficult to implement in real time. The other problem of MUSIC and ESRPIT is to require calibrated antennas with uniform features, and are sensitive to the manufacturing facult and other physical uncertainties. To overcome these disadvantages, several method using neural model have been study. For multiple signals, those require huge training data prior to AOA estimation. This paper proposes the algorithm for AOA estimation by interconnected hopfield neural model. Computer simulations show the validity of the proposed algorithm. The proposed method does not require huge training procedure and only assigns interconnected coefficients to the neural network prior to AOA estimation.

  • The copper foil surface inspection system is necessary for the factory automation and product quality. The developed system is composed of the high speed line scan camera, the image capture board and the processing computer. For the system resource utilization and real-time processing, multi-threaded architecture is introduced. There are one image capture thread, 2 or more defect detection threads, and one defect communication thread. To process the high-speed input image data, the I/O overlap is used through the double buffering. The defect is first detected by the predetermined threshold. To cope with the light irregularity, the compensation process is applied. After defect detection, defect type is classified with the defect width, eigenvalue ratio of the defect covariance matrix and gray level of defect. In experiment, for high-speed input image data, real-time processing is possible with multi -threaded architecture, and the 89.4% of the total 141 defects correctly classified.

  • In this paper, we study the method for desired signals estimation that array antennas are received signals. We apply sub spatial method of direction of arrival algorithm and adaptive array antennas in order to remove interference and noise signal of received antenna signals. Array response vector of adaptive array antenna is probability, it is correctly estimation of direction of arrival of targets to update weight signal. Desired signals are estimated updating covariance matrix after moving interference and noise signals among received signals. We estimate signals using eigen decomposition and eigen value, high resolution direction of arrival estimation algorithm is devided signal sub spatial and noise sub spatial. Though simulation, we analyze to compare proposed method with general method.
