척형선박과 비대형선박의 침로안전성의 비교에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Comparison of course Stabilities between Fine-form Ships and Full-form Ships)

  • Handling performance of a vessel is greatly related with her steering characteristics which consist of two kinds of motion characteristics ; namely course stability and turning ability. The correct prediction of the qualities, especially the steering characteristics is as much important in ship handling as in ship design. It is the purpose of this paper to provide ships handlers better understanding of steering characteristics and then to help them in safe controlling and maneuvering of vessels presenting distinct inherent steering characteristic difference that lies between a fine-form vessel and full-form vessel. The authors calculated dynamic course stabilities of two kinds of ideal models, one of which represents a fine-form ship and the other a full-form ship, based on hydrodynamic data of forces and moments obtained by model tests in maneuvering tanks. The result of calculations indicated that a ship of full-form configuration has inhernet course instability. Though significant nonlinearties affect ship montions in maneuvers, application of linear theory is sufficient for prediction of the maneuvering characteristics of vessels on calm waters for handling reference.

Effect of waterjet intake plane shape on course-keeping stability of a planing boat

  • The course-keeping stability of a high speed planing boat should be considered at the design stage for its safe operations. The shape of waterjet intake plane is one of important design parameters of a waterjet propelled planing boat. That has significant influences on the stern flow patterns and pressure distributions. In this study, the effects of the waterjet intake shapes of planing boats on the course-keeping stabilities are investigated. Two kinds of designed planing boats have the same dimensions, but there are differences in waterjet intake plane shapes. Captive and free-running model tests, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses are carried out in order to estimate their hydrodynamic performances including course-keeping stabilities. The results show that the flat and wide waterjet intake plane of the initially designed boat makes the course-keeping stability worse. The waterjet intake shape is redesigned to improve the course-keeping stability. The improved performances are confirmed by free-running model tests and full-scale trials.

실습선 백경호의 조종성능 평가 (Evaluation of the maneuverability of the fisheries training ship Baek-Kyung)

  • The model ship of this study, the Baek-Kyung fisheries training ship of Pukyong National University, has a length between perpendiculars of 85 meters, making it not subject to the IMO maneuverability standards. However, understanding the maneuvering characteristics of the vessel is essential for safe navigation. In this regard, this study was conducted to analyze the results from the sea trials of the model ship conducted in accordance with the IMO maneuverability standards. The results of the turning tests met the standards well while in the zig-zag tests, the first overshoot angle exceeded the standard in the 10°/10° test; however, such results met with a difference of 1.8° in the 20°/20° test. Additionally, using the course-stability discrimination formula, the calculated value was -0.0051, indicating unstable course-stability. The results of the stopping tests met the standards well. It is hoped that the analyzed maneuvering characteristics of the model ship from the study results will contribute to the safety of ship navigation.

  • This article explored the bank's responsibilities in electronic payment system between Korea and U.S.A. In order to complete my research object, I used Article 4A of the U.C.C. and EFTA of 1978 and by Electronic Financial Transaction Act of Korea as a analytic instruments. I also adapted America's various regulations to regulate concerned parties(banks). The system of this article is going to display as fellows; First, I presented recent trend and legal stabilities of electronic payment in this article. Second, I focuses on the allocation of risk of loss caused by ambiguous term in payment orders that do not express the subjective intention of the senders. I also did analyze the solution procession of error occurring in course of send of payment order. Third, In any action which involves a customers's liability for an unauthorized electronic fund transfer, the burden of proof is upon the financial institution to show that the electronic fund transfer was authorized. Forth, Customers have to report the error and unauthorized electronic fund transfer after awaring of it. Then bank will be liable for such a unauthorized electronic fund transfer. But If customer's failure to report, the bank has exemptions. Lastly, In order to prevent or detect the unauthorized electronic fund transfer, bank will agree with custom to establish a commercially reasonable security procedure, while bank has duties to notify in order to decrease the loss resulted from unauthorized payment order in korea law.

해저탐사잠수정의 연직평면에서의 방향안정성에 관한 연구 (A Study about the Pitch Stability of Exploratory Underwater Vehicles)

  • Nowadays natural resources on shore have been almost exhausted all over the world and mankind is beginning searching for unexploited resources on the bed of deep-sea floor. In exploring mineral resources and etc. in the ground of sea-bed, a sumbersible craft is one of the most important tools. These days, the stage of the technique of building and operating an exploring submersible craft is almost alike that of building and operating an airplane in the first years of the nineteen-twenties. At the present time, the problems arising in building and operating a submersible craft can be divided into four parts as follows; 1. How to build a hull that can bear high pressure under deep sea level. 2. How to decide the necessary facilities to be put on it. 3. How to decide the scope of stabilities and maneuvering characteristics of it. 4. On what sea conditions, the devices of launching and recovering it should be designed on the mother-ship. In this paper treating one of the third problems the author made a mathematic formula that can be useful in deciding the scope of dynamic course stability on the vertical plane and actually calculated the onset speed of pitch instability of an exploring craft. With the above mentioned calculations the author demonstrated that the value of $Z_g$ and the speed of a submerged craft are the most important factors in decideing the scope of dynamic stability on the vertical plane.

팜유와 우지로 제조한 라면의 저장 안정성에 대한 산화방지제 효과의 비교 (Relative Effectiveness of Some Antioxidants on Storage Stability of Instant Noodle(Ramyon) Fried by Palm Oil and Beef Tallow)

  • 몇가지 산화방지제와 상승제를 첨가한 팜유와 우지로 튀긴 라면의 저장 안정에 대한 산화방지 효과를 저장 라면에서 추출한 유지의 이화학적 항수(과산화물값, carbonyl값, conjugated diene)의 변화와 n-hexanal의 생성량을 측정하여 비교하였다. 팜유와 우지에 ${\delta}-Toc$을 첨가한 것이 $DL-{\alpha}-Toc$을 첨가한 것보다 저장 안정성이 다같이 우수하였고고 ${\delta}-Toc$$DL-{\alpha}-Toc$에 상승제로 ascorbyl palmitate를 첨가하였을 때가 citric acid를 첨가하였을 때 보다 상승효과가 좋았다. 우지에서는 페놀계 산화방지제를 첨가한 것이 tocopherol류를 첨가한 것보다 저장 안정성이 우수하였으나 팜유에서는 BHA와 BHT 혼합제를 첨가한 것이 ${\delta}-Toc$를 첨가한 것보다 저장 안정성이 좋지 못하였다. 저장 라면에서 추출한 유지의 과산화물값, carbonyl값 및 conjugated diene산의 변화는 서로 잘 일치하지 않았다. 그러나 저장라면에 대한 산화방지 효과는 저장 라면중의 hexanal의 농도와 밀접한 관계가 있었다.
