OPTICAL/NIR IMAGING OF AKARI NEP-WIDE SURVEY FIELD

  • We present the results from B-, R-, I-, J- and H-band observations of the NEP-Wide survey field. The NEP-Wide survey is an AKARI survey of the North Ecliptic Pole covering ~ 5 square degrees area. Our optical/NIR imaging supports the AKARI IR imaging data by providing a crucial coverage in the optical/NIR. The optical data were obtained in 2007 using the 1.5 m telescope and SNUCAM at Maidanak Observatory, Uzbekistan. The NIR data were obtained in 2008 with FLAMINGOS on the KPNO 2.1 m telescope. We used IRAF, SExtractor, SCAMP, and SWarp for reducing the raw data, I-band fringe pattern removal, astrometry, standard photometry calibration, and source detection. Our optical-NIR data reach the depths of B ~ 23.4, R ~ 23.1, I ~ 22.3, J ~ 21.05, and H ~ 20.64 AB mag at 5-sigma. Here, we present the astrometric accuracy, galaxy number counts, completeness, and reliability, as well as redshift tracks of some normal galaxies and quasars on the B - R vs. R - I color-color diagram. The photometric data are being used for identifying optical counterparts of the IR data provided by AKARI, studying their SEDs, and selecting interesting objects for spectroscopic follow-up studies.

공동크리깅 모형을 활용한 일반국도 연평균 일교통량 추정 (Annual Average Daily Traffic Estimation using Co-kriging)

  • 연평균 일교통량(AADT)은 교통 및 도로부문에서 중요한 기초자료로 활용되지만 예산 제약 등의 한계로 인해 일부 지점에 대해서만 상시조사를 통해서 AADT를 산출하고 있으며, 대다수의 지점에서는 단기 교통량 조사에서 수집된 샘플자료를 이용하여 AADT를 추정 활용하고 있다. 현재 단기 교통량 조사지점의 AADT 추정을 위하여 조사된 자료를 단순 평균하는 방법이 적용되고 있다. 기존 AADT 추정모형은 보정계수를 적용하는 방법이 대표적인 방법이나, 이 방법은 단기 교통량 조사 지점이 어떤 상시조사 지점의 보정계수를 적용할지에 대한 객관적인 방법이 없어 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공간통계모형을 도입하여 교통량 자료의 공간상관관계를 분석하고, 크리깅 모형을 적용하여 AADT를 추정하는 방법에 대하여 알아보았다. 공간통계모형의 AADT 추정의 정확도를 기존 연구와 비교하기 위하여 동일 대구간의 상시조사 지점의 보정계수를 적용하는 방법(방법 1)과 보정계수 그룹핑을 이용하여 해당 그룹의 보정계수를 적용하는 방법(방법 2), 공동크리깅을 적용한 방법(방법 3)을 비교분석하였다. 분석결과 공동크리깅을 적용한 모형은 기존 모형에 비해 AADT 추정 정확도가 향상되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 교통 시스템(ITS)의 기본 정보인 차량정보와 도로정보를 실시간으로 제공하기 위하여 루프 검지기와, 피에조 센서를 사용한 차량정보 수집 시스템의 설계를 다루었다. 루프검지기와 피에조 센서를 도로차선마다 설치하고 프로세서와 입/출력 보드를 통하여 샘플링 주기에 의하여 센서의 신호를 읽어들여 차량 및 교통정보를 생성한다. 생성된 정보는 패킷형태로 만들어져 RS232C 직렬 통신과 모뎀을 통하여 원격에 있는 교통 관제시스템으로 전송된다. 이를 위하여 EISA BUS규격의 32채널 입/출력 보드와 차량정보 수집 프로그램을 설계하고 시뮬레이션 시스템에서 확인하였다.

Empirical Comparisons of Disparity Measures for Three Dimensional Log-Linear Models

  • This paper is concerned with the applicability of the chi-square approximation to the six disparity statistics: the Pearson chi-square, the generalized likelihood ratio, the power divergence, the blended weight chi-square, the blended weight Hellinger distance, and the negative exponential disparity statistic. Three dimensional contingency tables of small and moderate sample sizes are generated to be fitted to all possible hierarchical log-linear models: the completely independent model, the conditionally independent model, the partial association models, and the model with one variable independent of the other two. For models with direct solutions of expected cell counts, point estimates and confidence intervals of the 90 and 95 percentage points of six statistics are explored. For model without direct solutions, the empirical significant levels and the empirical powers of six statistics to test the significance of the three factor interaction are computed and compared.

일원배열 가산자료에서의 처리효과 비교 (Analysis of counts in the one-way layout)

  • 일원배열형태의 가산 자료집합에서 각 군의 평균을 이용하여 처리효과를 비교할 수 있다. Barnwal과 Paul(1988)은 각 군의 산포모수가 같다는 가정 아래에서 처리에 따른 차이를 검정하는 우도검정통계량과 $C(\alpha)$ 통계량을 유도하였는데 본 연구에서는 이러한 가정이 만족되지 않아도 검정할 수 있도록 통계량을 일반화하였다. 또한 음이항분포 대신 Efron(1986)의 이중지수계 포아송 모형을 도입하여 새로운 통계량을 제시하였다. 모의실험을 통해 이중지수계 포아송 모형으로부터 유도된 $C(\alpha)$ 통계량이 어느 경우에나 적합함을 밝혔다.

칼만필터를 이용한 도시고속도로 교통량예측 및 실시간O-D 추정 (Prediction of Volumes and Estimation of Real-time Origin-Destination Parameters on Urban Freeways via The Kalman Filtering Approach)

  • The estimation of real-time Origin-Destination(O-D) parameters, which gives travel demand between combinations of origin and destination points on a urban freeway network, from on-line surveillance traffic data is essential in developing an efficient ATMS strategy. On this need a real-time O-D parameter estimation model is formulated as a parameter adaptive filtering model based on the extended Kalman Filter. A Monte Carlo test have shown that the estimation of time-varying O-D parameter is possible using only traffic counts. Tests with field data produced the interesting finding that off-ramp volume predictions generated using a constant freeway O-D matrix was replaced by real-time estimates generated using the parameter adaptive filter.

신용카드 이용행태의 확률분포 도출과 활용 (Derivation and utilization of probability distribution of credit card usage behavior)

  • Purpose: To find out the appropriate probability distribution of credit card usage behavior by considering the relationship among income, expenditure and credit card usage amount. Such relationship is enabled by Korea's especially high penetration of credit card. Method: Goodness-of-fit test and effect size statistic W were used to identify the distribution of income and credit card usage amount. A simulation model is introduced to generate the credit card transactions on individual user level. Result: The three data sets for testing had either passed the chi-square test or showed low W values, meaning they follow the exponential distribution. And the exponential distribution turned out to fit the data sets well. The r values were very high. Conclusion: The credit card usage behavior, denoted as the counts of users by usage amount band, follows the exponential distribution. This distribution is easy to manipulate, has a variety of applications and generates important business implications.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an information system for home care service based on RAI(Resident Assessment Instrument). The standardization of service providing process was conducted using the steps of need assessment, triggers, application of CAPs, and care plan. The structure of MDsoft-HC was composed by MDS-CAPS system and system management system. A database on home care clients was accumulated by putting data, respectively, in general information, MDS-item, and MDS-result. Based on this data, the list of CAPs for the client was selected and monthly and annual statistics were calculated by problem result counts. It was suggested that standardization of a care plan would be integrated and short form of need assessment would be developed in the next stage.

A study on the Correlation of Peak counts between the Mechanical and the Optical Measurements in Surface Metrology

  • Monitoring the surface profile real time on the manufacturing line of planar products has been accomplished by employing the scattering of a laser light. The laser beam was focused onto the surface and the direction of the reflected beam was utilized to obtain the slope of the surface facet. By taking data fast enough, it was possible to obtain the microscopic surface structure. The mean roughness thus obtained agreed well with the ones found with the mechanical stylus instrument. There was discrepancy between the two results as to the number of peaks per com. A simple model based on the deconvolution of the raw data was found adequate to improve the agreement to an acceptable level.

Historical Control Data from 4-week Repeated Toxicity Studies in Crj:CD (SD) Rats

  • Reference ranges of standard experimental parameters are useful for comparisons in toxicology. The aim of this study was to collect data from 4-week repeated toxicity studies in Crl:CD (SD) rats, a strain widely used for toxicity and efficacy research, for establishing domestic reference values. Data on body weight, food consumption; urinalysis, hematological, and blood biochemical parameters; and organ weights were collected from 16 toxicity studies in 220 Crl:CD (SD) rats (110 males and 110 females). The studies had been performed at a single testing facility over the last 3 years and involved animals sourced from a single breeder. The findings were collated as means, standard deviations, percentages, and ranges. Urine volume, uterus weight, eosinophil, and basophil counts, and triglyceride, total bilirubin, and gammaglutamyl transpeptidase levels showed standard deviations of 30% or more. These historical control data would help to interpret the effects of test substances in routine toxicity and efficacy studies.
