This research evaluated counseling tasks performed by consumer counselors between Korea and Japan. Results of this research could be summarized as follows. First, not only female but also male counselors occupied counseling tasks in Korea, in Japan, all counselors were female, most of whom were married and older than in Korea. The average number of counselors in Korea was large than those in Japan, but income of counselors was higher in Japan. Average numbers of counseling were large, the level of perception on the significance of counseling tasks was lower in Korea, but degree of job satisfaction was higher in Korea than their Japanese counterparts. Second, evaluation scores of Korean counselors were higher than those in their Japanese counterparts in the light of objectiveness and fairness of counseling. On the other hand, the degree of job satisfaction among counselors and their perceptions on the significance of counseling tasks affected the evaluation scores. In contrast, both degree of job satisfaction and hours of job-training education generated those impacts. finally, Korean counselors highly evaluated their agencies' counseling tasks than their Japanese counterparts. In sum, this study showed that the overall performance of consumer counseling tasks was more positive in Korea than in Japan.
The outcome of the consultation is important to both the counselor and the researcher. Analyzing the trends of research on the results of counseling that have been carried out so far will help to comprehensively structure the results of consultations. The purpose of this research is to analyze research trends in Korea, focusing on research related to the outcomes of counseling published in 「Korean Journal of Counseling」 from 2011 to 2021, which is one of the well-known academic journals in the field of counseling in Korea. This is to explore the direction of future research by navigating the knowledge structure of research. There were 197 studies used for analysis, and the final 339 keyword were extracted during the node extraction process and used for analysis. As a result of extracting potential topics using the LDA algorithm, "Measurement and evaluation of counseling outcomes", "emotions and mediate factors affecting interpersonal relationships", and "career stress and coping strategies" are the main topics. Identifying major topics through trend analysis of counseling performance research contributed to structuring counseling performance. In-depth research on these topics needs to continue thereafter.
The purposes of this study were to analyze the performance in nutrition counseling service and to develop a desirable methodology for the nutrition counseling. Data were collected through a survey on satisfaction of 221 patients( 111 males and 110 females) in the nutrition counseling service conducted in seven general hospitals of over 450 beds in Seoul. The results are as follows Most(93.9%) of the respondents agreed on the necessity of nutrition counseling and 96.8% of them recognized the importance of the role of a therapeutic diet. The mean satisfaction ratings were 4.34/5.00 in the dietitian's customization, 4.19/5.00 in the overall nutrition counseling service, 3.90/5.00 in the detailed presentation of the menu, and 3.66/5.00 in the explanations of recipes for the food. Total mean satisfaction ratings were 38.57/55.00 for liver disease patients, 40.29/55.00 for hypertensives, 42.54/55.00 for renal disease patients, 43.28/55.00 for gastrointestinal disease patients, and 44.09/55.00 for diabetics.
As artificial intelligence is actively studied, chatbot systems are being applied to various fields. In particular, many chatbot systems for psychological counseling have been studied that can comfort modern people. However, while most psychological counseling chatbots are studied as rule-base and deep learning-based chatbots, there are large limitations for each chatbot. To overcome the limitations of psychological counseling using such chatbots, we proposes a novel psychological counseling AI chatbot system. The proposed system consists of a GPT-2 model that generates output sentence for Korean input sentences and an Electra model that serves as sentiment analysis and anxiety cause classification, which can be provided with psychological tests and collective intelligence functions. At the same time as deep learning-based chatbots and conversations take place, sentiment analysis of input sentences simultaneously recognizes user's emotions and presents psychological tests and collective intelligence solutions to solve the limitations of psychological counseling that can only be done with chatbots. Since the role of sentiment analysis and anxiety cause classification, which are the links of each function, is important for the progression of the proposed system, we experiment the performance of those parts. We verify the novelty and accuracy of the proposed system. It also shows that the AI chatbot system can perform counseling excellently.
Purpose: Providing tutoring services may be one of the most effective practices for improving academic performance and student retention. However, there is little information on the difference between mandatory tutoring (MT) and voluntary tutoring (VT) on the impact of student academic performance. This investigation compared the effectiveness of VT and MT services in the three upper level undergraduate classes. Research design, data, and methodology: Baseline data were collected in a spring semester where no tutoring of any kind was offered (control group (CG), n=78). The MT (n=104) was required in the following fall semester, and in the next spring semester only VT (n=97) was offered. Descriptive statistics and One-way ANOVA using IBM SPSS v23 (Chicago, IL) were used to analyze the final grades of the courses to identify differences in final grades between semesters. Results: Although final grades averaged from three classes were highest in the MT group, there were no statistical differences between the MT and VT groups, F(2, 292) = 1.150, p =.318. Conclusion: This study indicates there was no significant difference in academic performance between the two tutoring types, but that both tutoring services can be effective.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to discover the effects of REBT group counseling on the self-efficacy and organizational effectiveness of nurses with high scores on dysfunctional attitude scale. Method: There wewe 21 subjects in the experimental group and 25 subjects in the control group. This treatment lasted for eight weeks. Each week, a two and half hour long session was cinducted. Results: The experimental groups showed that significant statistical differences compared with the control groups in the score of self-efficacy, job-satisfaction, organizational commitment, and nursing performance. Conclusion: These results imply that REBT group counseling could be utilized as good nursing intervention to enhance self-efficacy, organizational effectiveness at the general hospital.
This study investigated and compared the tasks peformed by Consumer Agencies in Korea and Japan. It also investigated the variables influencing evaluation scores on consumer tasks. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, Japanese counselors were predominantly older, married females in contrast to the predominance of relatively young, single, male, Korean consumer counselors. In Korea, most consumer tasks were performed by Consumer Agencies in Seoul while internet counseling was popular. In addition, 13 counselors belong to Korean Consumer Agencies while 80 worked in the Korea Consumer Protection Board. In Japan, consumer tasks were peformed by Consumer Centers located broadly across the nation but no internet counseling was provided, while the average number of consumer counselors per Consumer Center was 8. The average number of consumer counseling sessions per day was greater in Korea than in Japan while the average monthly income was higher in Japan than in Korea. Second, evaluation of the tasks performed by Consumer Agencies revealed that the Korean Consumer Agencies scored higher performance than their Japanese counterparts. Third, the degree of job satisfaction significantly influenced evaluation scores in both consumer counseling tasks and provision of consumer information in Korea. In Korea, among the tasks concerning consumer education, job-training education was a significant variable while the number of Korean counselors in Consumer Agencies positively influenced scores on activities concerning consumer movement and alliance with other agencies. However, the degree of job satisfaction among counselors positively and significantly influenced evaluation scores in tasks concerning consumer counseling, provision of consumers'information, and consumer education. On the other hand, the number of counselors in Japanese Consumer Centers influenced the evaluation scores on tasks concerning consumer policy, consumer survey, and consumer campaign.
The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of job characteristics, job performance and organizational commitment on job satisfaction of hospital dietitians. The first survey was carried out on 74 hospital dietitians to determine their demographic characteristics, job characteristics, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The second survey was carried out on 47 hospital foodservice dietitians to determine their job performance. Thirty-two percent of the subjects were aged between 26 and 30, and 62.2% had Bachelor's degrees. The dietitians felt most satisfied by their co-workers, followed by the work-itself, supervision, pay, and promotion possibilities. Dietitians who had a higher education were satisfied with pay and supervision. The longer the length of employment, the more the satisfaction with the work-itself and pay, plus the higher the monthly wage the more the satisfaction with the work-itself, pay, supervision, and co-workers. lob satisfaction was high in the group that scored high on autonomy, feedback, task identity, and friendship of in the job characteristic inventory. The job performances of nutrition counseling(r= 0.469, p < 0.01), nutrition education(r= 0.446, p < 0.01) and management of therapeutic diet(r= 0.394, p < 0.01) were positively correlated with job satisfaction. The $R^2$for the multiple regression model was 0.677, indicating that 67.7% of the variance in job satisfaction could be accounted for by feedback, organizational commitment, nutrition counseling performance, and nutrition education performance. In conclusion, the level of job satisfaction for hospital dietitians would appear to improve with increased feedback, organizational commitment, and opportunity for nutrition counseling and nutrition education.
Objective: The purpose of the study was to analyze the difference in the importance and performance of the educational content of the community pharmacy practice and find the factors that influence it. Methods: A 5-point Likert scale questionnaire asked about the importance and performance of the pharmacy practice education items to community pharmacy preceptors, current students, and professors. Data were analyzed using Microsoft office 365 Excel and IBM SPSS 21.0. Results: A total of 117 people participated. The averages of importance and performance were 4.34±0.34 and 3.71±0.45, respectively. Except for the computational entry of prescriptions and medication history, the average score for the importance of all educational items was statistically significantly higher than the one for performance. Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) identified over-the-counter medication counseling, over-the-counter drug selection consultation, pharmacy management, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and understanding and implementation of drug use evaluation as the items that needed focused effort. Borich's needs were highest in the adverse drug reaction monitoring. Conclusions: Overall, high importance and low performance indicate a need for improvement in community pharmacy practice education. Since the demand for education was high in over-the-counter medication counseling, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and OTC drug selection consultation, various supports are urgently needed to strengthen pharmacy practice education in this area in the future.
School dietitians are divided into two groups according to their status of employment, school nutrition teachers and dietitians, with the latter being irregularly employed by the institution. In this study, the job satisfaction, communication ability, work performance and importance in feeding services and dietetic counseling of both groups were compared. To accomplish this, 100 regularly employed school nutrition teachers (regularly employed) and 101 dietitians (irregularly employed) were surveyed by questionnaire. The results were as follows: (1) The irregularly employed dietitians showed a lower level of job satisfaction than the school nutrition teachers. This was likely because the school nutrition teachers belonged to the strong inner circle of school teachers and cafeteria workers, and had enough time to prepare for class lectures and consultancy. Conversely, the irregularly employed dietitians generally handle extra office work in addition to their primary duties. Despite these differences, both parties agreed that it was necessary to change the work system. Additionally, school dietitians reported that they had little opportunity for further training for career development. (2) Both parties had good communication skills; however, the irregularly employed dietitians had more conflicts with other staff members than the regular employees. (3) Job performance and job importance level was compared among employees involved in school feeding services and nutrition counseling. No significant differences were observed between dietitians and nutrition teachers in either group (p<0.05). However, the school nutrition teachers showed better skills than school dietitian with respect to public relations, running independent counseling offices, and using effective tools and materials. Job performance level was lower when compared to job importance level for all items, which meant the job was not well performed when compared to the work importance awareness.
