마찰에 민감한 긴 파이프의 축관 및 확관 동시공정의 해석을 통한 마찰법칙의 평가 (Evaluation of Frictional Laws through Analyzing a Friction-Sensitive Long-Pipe Shrinking and Expanding Process)

  • Frictional laws are criticized with emphasis on their application to bulk metal forming simulation in this paper. Coulomb frictional law and constant shear frictional law are investigated in detail in terms of their effect on metal forming process. A friction sensitive bulk metal forming process, a long-pipe simultaneously shrinking and expanding process, is introduced and the problems of the constant shear frictional law are revealed comparing the predictions obtained by the Coulomb frictional law and the constant shear frictional law with the experiments. It is shown that the constant shear frictional law is improper in the case that the normal stress varies very much from position to position and that the normal stress is low compared with flow stress of the adjacent material. It is also shown that the Coulomb frictional constant is more or less affected by the normal stress.

  • A natural admittance control system design is presented for a particular type of interaction controller that achieve high-performance and guarantees stability. The admittance control Significantly improves performance when Coulomb friction is present in the one link robot system. The technique requires a careful choice of the target impedance. Experimental performance results are presented for a two-mass system with internal Coulomb friction. Results demonstrate that the admittance control law is successful in rejecting internal Coulomb friction force disturbances. The controller was designed and implemented on our system that we set up one link robot system and hardware configuration system, and performance results are presented.

Constitutive law for wedge-tendon gripping interface in anchorage device - numerical modeling and parameters identification

  • Mechanical anchorage devices are generally tested in the laboratory and may be analyzed using the finite element method. These devices are composed of many components interacting through diverse contact interfaces. Generally, a Coulomb friction law is sufficient to take into account friction between smooth surfaces. However, in the case of mechanical anchorages, a gripping system, named herein the wedge-tendon system, is used to anchor the prestressing tendon. The wedge inner surface is made of a series of triangular notches designed to grip the tendon. In this particular case, the Coulomb law is not adapted to simulate the contact interface. The present paper deals with a new constitutive contact/gripping law to simulate the gripping effect. A parameter identification procedure, based on experimental results as well as on a finite element/neural network approach, is presented. It is demonstrated that all parameters have been selected in a satisfactory way and that the proposed constitutive law is well adapted to simulate the wedge gripping effect taking place in a mechanical anchorage device.

  • When a body including a crack inside is subjected to the compressive forces, the crack is closed and sliding occurs on the crack surfaces. In this work, a subsurface crack subjected to a static or moving compressive load is analyzed with the finite element method considering friction on the crack surface. The friction on the crack surface is assumed to follow the Coulomb friction law. A numerical method based on the finite element method and iterative method is applied in this work. And the result is compared with the frictional contact of crack by ANSYS using contact 12 element. The numerical results of two methods are compared with the wellknown analytical solutions, and the accuracy of iterative method is checked..

  • This paper presents a control law of multiple actuation servo systems. Multiple actuation systems have an ability to solve some difficult engineering problems; Coulomb friction, backlash, and disturbance. This fact is shown by basic experiments as well as theoretical analysis. The proposed control strategy remarkably improves the performance comparing with conventional single actuation systems.

  • Effects of frictional laws on finite element solutions in metal forming were investigated in this paper. A rigid-viscoplastic finite element formulation was given with emphasis on the frictional laws. The Coulomb friction and the constant shear friction laws were compared through finite element analyses of compression of rings and cylinders with different aspect ratios, ring-gear forging, multi-stage cold extrusion and hot strip rolling under the isothermal condition. It has been shown that two laws may yield quite different results when the aspect ratio of a process and the fractional contact region are large.

  • 본 연구에서는 참고문헌 8의 해법을 응용하여 다발 보의 마찰 접촉 문제를 푸는 방법에 대하여 설명한다. 각 보 요소의 변형은 미소변형 및 Bernoulli-Euler이 론을 이용하여 계산하며, 마찰력 계산을 위하여는 Coulomb 마찰 법칙을 이용한다. 보의 종류와 형상 및 보를 묶는 클램프(clamp)의 종류에 따라서 수 많은 종류의 스프 링이 얻어 질 수 있다. 여기에서는 편의상 보 다발이 클램프에 의하여 강하게 묶여 있으며, 그 묶인 점에서는 각 보의 법선 방향(normal direction) 상대 운동은 없는 것 으로 간주한다.

  • We consider a mathematical model which describes the quasistatic frictional contact between a piezoelectric body and an electrically conductive obstacle, the so-called foundation. A nonlinear electro-viscoelastic constitutive law is used to model the piezoelectric material. Contact is described with Signorini's conditions and a version of Coulomb's law of dry friction in which the adhesion of contact surfaces is taken into account. The evolution of the bonding field is described by a first order differential equation. We derive a variational formulation for the model, in the form of a system for the displacements, the electric potential and the adhesion. Under a smallness assumption which involves only the electrical data of the problem, we prove the existence of a unique weak solution of the model. The proof is based on arguments of time-dependent quasi-variational inequalities, differential equations and Banach's fixed point theorem.

초고강도강판 마찰특성의 실험적 규명 (Experimental Determination of Friction Characteristics for Advanced High Strength Steel Sheets)

  • The friction coefficients of advanced high strength steel sheets were experimentally determined. In the friction test, the pulling and holding forces acting on the sheet for various friction conditions, such as lubricant viscosity, pulling speed, blank holding pressure, sheet surface roughness, and hardness of the sheet were measured and the friction coefficient was calculated based on Coulomb's friction law. While the friction coefficient, generally, decreases as the value of friction factor increases, the factor associated with the sheet surface roughness shows U shape behavior for the friction coefficient. Furthermore, the relationship between friction coefficient and the wear volume, which was computed for the roughness of both sheet surfaces and the friction area, is linearly proportional.

박판성형 마찰거동에 미치는 블랭크 홀딩력의 영향 (Effects of Blank Holding Force on Friction Behavior in Sheet Metal Forming)

  • In this study, in order to see effect of the blank holding force on the friction behavior in the sheet metal forming, a sheet metal friction tester is designed and manufactured, which can measure friction forces in various forming conditions, such are lubrication, die roughness, drawing speed, radius of die corner, blank holding force, etc., and performed the friction test in which friction coefficients in various blank holding forces and pulling speeds are calculated using Coulomb's friction law. The friction test reveals that friction coefficient decreases maximum 30% as the blank holding force and the drawing speed are increased to 2.5kN and 1500mm/min, respectively.
