  • Customized cosmetics are continuously mentioned as cosmetics in response to changes in the social environment and trends that emphasize individuality. Therefore, in this study, four types of nanoemulsion ampoules corresponding to skin types were prepared by different ratios of nanoemulsion formulation and ampoule formulation, and the applicability as a customized cosmetic base was checked. Particle size, polydispersity index, zeta potential, and viscosity according to time for 90 d were measured for four nanoemulsion ampoules with different volatile residues, and turbiscan was measured as a method for evaluating the stability of a colloidal dispersion system. Finally, human usability satisfaction was evaluated. As a result, it was confirmed that four kinds of nanoemulsion ampoules had a higher amount of volatile residue in the dry skin test product than in the oily skin test product. The pH was in the range of 6.41 to 6.88, and the particle size was in the range of 170 to 174 nm, and the change after 90 d was within 1.2% of the maximum, and there was no specificity in particle size stability. It was confirmed that the polydispersity index was almost constant, and showed a particle size distribution close to monodispersity by showing a change within a value smaller than 0.21 in all test products. The zeta potential was initially -63 mV or more for all four types of test products, and although it showed a slight decrease with time, there was little change to the extent of a maximum decrease of 2.5%. Viscosity was initially in the range of 4,100 to 5,100 cps and showed a decreasing trend with time, showing a maximum decrease of 37.7%. In the turbiscan measurement, the turbiscan stability index, a measure of stability, was all below 1.0, indicating dispersion stability. In the usability satisfaction evaluation (6 points) of 4 nanoemulsion ampoules corresponding to skin type, oily skin product (5.42 ± 0.67 points) > neutral oily skin product (5.36 ± 0.67 points) > neutral dry skin product (5.15 ± 0.69 point) > dry skin product (4.75 ± 0.75 points) in the order of evaluation. Four types of nanoemulsion ampoules are physically stable and have confirmed their applicability as a customized cosmetic base according to skin type, and are expected to expand in various ways.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the satisfaction, trust and word-of-mouth intention of online information according to the type of information search by female cosmetics consumers in their 20's to 40's. For this study, online and offline surveys were conducted by 307 people. Factor, correlation, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The main results are summarized as follows. First, the cosmetic consumer's information search types were identified as active, playful, and economic information search types. Second, the results of examinations on the effect of consumer information search types on satisfaction, reliability, and word-of-mouth intention of the online information searches showed that the active information search type had a positive effect on satisfaction, reliability, and word-of-mouth intention. The economic information search type had a positive effect on satisfaction. The active information search type was confirmed to have high satisfaction, reliability, and word-of-mouth intention for the provided information and thus, the acceptance of the provided information was high. The playful information search type was divided into continuous, habitual, and independent information search and a tendency to assign a low value to consumer information was confirmed. The economic information search type showed high satisfaction with the information obtained by searching, but also a passive attitude toward trust or word-of-mouth intention and was categorized as a passive search type. • As there is a growing interest in natural ingredients, they are actively being studied to improve damaged skin However, the lip cosmetics are still being inadequately studied on the exposure of lips to several stimuli and easy flow of chemical on the lips into the body. This study was conducted to make a clinical evaluation on the real effect of lip balm on lips, by extracting oil from Chamaecyparis obtusa and Lithospermum erythrorhizon that are known to play a positive role on skin. The following three natural lip balms were produced: lip balm made with Chamaecyparis obtusa(LBWCO), lip balm made with both Chamaecyparis obtusa and Lithospermum erythrorhizon(LBWCOLE), lip balm made without Chamaecyparis obtusa or Lithospermum erythrorhizon(LBWICOLE). The quality of LBWCO or LBWCOLE was evaluated to be higher than that of LBWICOLE. LBWCO and LBWCOLE had the highest satisfaction and purchase intention, respectively. As stated above, Chamaecyparis obtusa and Lithospermum erythrorhizon could be the ingredients of lip balm, and they were effective in improving damaged lips. Consequently, this study will provide opportunities to explore excellent ingredients to be used in natural lip balm. Also, studying lip cosmetics using only the natural ingredients will provide opportunities to expand positive images of ingredients for producing lip cosmetics.

  • The cosmetics industry faces a significant challenge in addressing the decreased recycling rate of cosmetic containers due to the composite materials used to meet consumers' aesthetic satisfaction. To address thees issues, eco-friendly packaging solutions such as refill packaging and single-material use have been developed. However, the market for eco-friendly cosmetics packaging requires a product that meets consumers' demands for aesthetics, sensitivity, and eco-friendliness while also performing as well as existing products. This study presents a solution to the challenge of the decreased recycling rate of cosmetic containers by developing a new cosmetic packaging product for cream formulations. The product features an easily separable and dischargeable internal refill container, while maintaining the design aesthetics of the external container. Through various tests, the product was shown to be of equivalent quality and performance to existing cream cosmetic packaging, with no leakage or defects observed. Furthermore, the use of a single-material polypropylene refill container is expected to contribute to the improvement of the plastic recycling rate.
