Environmental fatigue correction factor model for domestic nuclear-grade low-alloy steel

  • Low cycle fatigue behaviors of SA508-3 low-alloy steel were investigated in room-temperature air, high-temperature air and in light water reactor (LWR) water environments. The fatigue mean curve and design curve for the low-alloy steel are developed based on the fatigue data in room-temperature and high-temperature air. The environmental fatigue model for low-alloy steel is developed by the environmental fatigue correction factor (Fen) methodology based on the fatigue data in LWR water environments with the consideration of effects of strain rate, temperature, and dissolved oxygen concentration on the fatigue life.

전방머리자세 대상자에 대한 목운동과 골반운동이 척추 굽이에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Neck and Pelvic Exercise Using Swiss Ball on Spinal Curve in Adults with Forward Head Posture)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of pelvic exercise on the CVA and spinal curve in adults with forward head posture compared to the group using only neck exercise when pelvic exercise was performed in parallel with conventional neck exercise. Methods : GPS 400 and Formetric were used to identify craniovertebral angle (CVA), thoracic kyphosis, lumbar lordosis, and pelvic torsion and were measured by an experienced research manager. Forward head posture (FHP) was selected for people whose angle between the line connecting the ear ball and the seventh cervical spine and the horizontal line is 50 degrees or less. The 30 selected students were randomly divided into 15 experimental groups and 15 control groups. Mackenzie exercise and sling exercise were performed for neck exercise in both the experimental group and the control group, and pelvic exercise using a Swiss ball was additionally performed in the experimental group. All data collected in this study were analyzed using SPSS statistics 21.0. Cervical vetebral angle (CVA), thoracic kyphosis, lumbar lordosis, and pelvic torsion were compared at 0 weeks, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks for each measurement factor using ANOVA with repeated measures. For the statistical significance test, the significance level of α was set to .05. Results : The changes of pelvic torsion, thoracic kyphosis and CVA due to pelvic exercise using Swiss Ball and neck exercise were changed over time, but lumbar lordosis were not changed. And there were no significant differences among the groups. Conclusion : In conclusion, the pelvic correction exercise is considered to be an effective exercise for correcting the FHP and requires regular pelvic correction exercises. We expect the results to be used in clinical trials.

  • 목적: 정상 성인에서 심근의 산소 소모량에 대한 참고범위를 구하고 시간-방사능 곡선(time-activity curve, TAC)에 재순환이 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위하여 재순환 교정법과 수정 단일구획모델을 적용하여 심근 내 산소 소모량을 계산하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 평균연령 $26.3{\pm}4.0$세인 9명의 지원자들에서 925 MBq (25mCi)의 $^{11}C$-Acetate (가천의과학대학교 뇌과학연구소)와 PET/CT (Biograph 6, 독일 지멘스사)를 사용하여 심근 산소 소모량을 계산하였다. 자료의 분석을 위하여 $MATLAB^{(R)}$ v7.1 (Mathworks. Inc., 미국), $Excel^{(R)}$ 2007 (Microsoft, 미국), $SPSS^{(R)}$ v12.0 (Apache Software Foundation, 미국) 등의 소프트웨어들을 사용하였다. PET/CT로 촬영한 영상으로부터 10초마다 12장, 다음 60초마다 5장, 다음 120초마다 3장, 그리고 마지막으로 300초마다 2장 등 0초일 때 1장을 포함하여 총 23개 프레임을 추출하였다. 수정 단일구획모델과 재순환 교정법을 적용하였다. 통계적 분석방법으로 정규성 검정, 분산분석(ANOVA), 사후분석(Post-Hoc analysis) 등을 이용하였고 p값으로 0.05를 적용하였다. 결과: 심근 산소 소모량의 참고범위는 중격 아래벽, 가쪽벽, 앞벽, 전체벽에서 각각 $3.18-4.64\;{\times}\;10^{-4}\;ml/g/sec$, $1.91-3.94\;{\times}\;10^{-4}\;ml/g/sec$, $4.31-6.40\;{\times}\;10^{-4}\;ml/g/sec$, $2.84-4.53\;{\times}\;10^{-4}\;ml/g/sec$ and $3.42-5.00\;{\times}\;10^{-4}\;ml/g/sec$ 등으로 계산되었다. 또한 시간-방사능 곡선의 형태에 관한 기존의 이중적 견해는 결국 재순환된 $^{11}C$-Acetate 때문이며 이 재순환을 교정하면 곡선은 근본적으로 단일 지수함수 형태를 띤다. 결론: $^{11}C$-Acetate 및 3차원 PET/CT로 심근의 산소 소모량을 효율적으로 평가할 수 있으며 안정상태에서는 재순환된 $^{11}C$가 거의 존재하지 않기 때문에 시간-방사능 곡선에 의미 있는 영향을 미치지 않는다..

Evidence for the Luminosity Evolution of Type Ia Supernovae from the Ages of Early-type Host Galaxies

  • Supernovae type Ia (SNe Ia) cosmology is providing the only direct evidence for the presence of dark energy. This result is based on the assumption that the look-back time evolution of SNe Ia luminosity, after light-curve shape correction, would be negligible. However, the most recent compilation of SNe Ia data shows systematic difference in the Hubble residual (HR) between the E and Sd/Irr galaxies, indicating that the light-curve fitters used by the SNe Ia community cannot quite correct for a large portion of the population age effect. In order to investigate this possibility more directly, we have obtained low-resolution spectra for 30 nearby early-type host galaxies. This data set is used to estimate the luminosity-weighted mean ages and metallicities of host galaxies by employing the population synthesis models. We found an interesting trend between the host galaxy age and HR, in the sense that younger galaxies have positive residuals (i.e., light-curve corrected SNe Ia luminosity is fainter). This result is rather independent of the choice of the population synthesis models employed. Taken at face value, this age (evolution) effect can mimic a large fraction of the HR used in the discovery of the dark energy. This result is significant at 1.4 - 3 sigma levels, depending on the light curve fitters adopted, and further observations and analyses are certainly required to confirm the trend reported here.

고변형률 영역의 유효응력-변형률 곡선을 고려한 고탄소강 다단 신선 와이어 축방향 잔류응력 평가 (Evaluation of Axial Residual Stress in Multi-Pass Drawn High Carbon Steel Wire Considering Effective Stress-Strain Curve at High Strain)

  • The aim of this study is to evaluate the axial residual stress in multi-pass drawn high carbon steel wire by using FE analysis and XRD. When FE analysis is applied to evaluate the residual stress in drawn wire of multi-pass drawing process, obtaining the reliable effective stress-strain curve at high strain is very important. In this study, a model, which can express the reliable effective stress-strain curve at high strain, is introduced based on the Bridgman correction and tensile test for multi-pass drawn high carbon steel wires. By using the introduced model, FE analysis was carried out to evaluate the axial residual stress in the drawn wires. Finally, the effectiveness of the FE analysis with the introduced stress-strain relation was verified by the measurement of residual stress in the drawn wires through XRD. As a result, the evaluated residual stress of FE analysis shows good agreement with the measured residual stress.

연소물의 질량증가와 연소시간의 상관관계를 고려한 화재곡선 예측 (Prediction of Fire Curves Considering the Relationship between Mass Increase and Combustion Time of Combustibles)

  • 본 논문에서는 부피단위의 화재곡선을 단위면적당 화재곡선으로 구하여 화재곡선 식을 FDS 표면열방출율법에 대입할 수 있도록 하고자 하였다. 화재곡선을 총 연소특성시간을 고려하여 무차원으로 표현하였으며, 성장구간비 𝛽i, 유지구간비 𝛽s , 감쇄구간비 𝛽d를 고려하여 화재강도에 대한 적절한 비율을 나타내도록 개선하였다. 또한, 질량증가에 따라 변화하는 연소 특성시간 보정함수 𝛾(m/m0)를 도출하였으며, 질량비가 증가함에 따라 성장시간 값을 제어하기 위해 성장구간비 𝛽i를 보정하는 함수 αi(m/m0)를 도출하였다. 이에 따라 기존 데이터를 활용하여 연소물의 기준질량을 선정하고, 질량 증가에 따른 화재곡선을 예측할 수 있는 식을 확립하였다.

DGNSS 위치정확도 향상을 위한 PRC 보정정보 모델링에 관한 연구 (A Study on Pseudo-Range Correction Modeling in order to Improve DGNSS Accuracy)

  • 본 논문은 DGNSS(Differential GNSS) 위치정확도 향상을 위한 PRC(Pseudo-Range Correction) 보정정보 모델링에 관한 연구내용이다. PRC는 DGNSS 기법을 이용하여 측위정확도를 향상시키기 위해 사용되는 보정정보로써 사용자가 통신망을 통해 수신한 뒤 사용된다. 그러나 일시적인 통신두절이나 신호간섭 등으로 인해 위치정확도가 급격히 저하되는 일이 발생한다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 이러한 현상을 방지하기 위해 PRC 보정정보를 다항식 곡선접합 방정식을 이용하여 모델링하고 그 정확도를 평가하였다. 모델링 매개변수를 이용하여 계산한 PRC 추정값과 실제 기준국 수신기에서 생산되는 관측값간의 차이를 계산한 결과 GPS의 경우에는 평균 0.1m, RMSE는 1.3m로 나타났고 대부분의 위성들이 ${\pm}1.0m$ 이내의 편향오차와 3.0m 이내의 RMSE를 보였다. GLONASS의 경우에는 평균 0.2m이고 대부분 ${\pm}2.0m$ 이내에 분포하였다. RMSE는 2.6m로 나타났고 다수의 위성들이 3.0m 이내에 분포하였다. 이런 결과는 모델링을 통해 산출한 추정값이 사용자의 위치정확도를 유지하는데 유효하게 사용될 수 있음을 보였다. 그러나 고도각이 낮은 영역에서 두 값의 차이가 크게 나타나 이에 대한 연구를 추가적으로 수행할 필요성이 있다.

농촌 부녀자와 농촌 생활지도사의 요통 교육에 관한 조사 (A Survey of Low Back Pain for the Rural Woman and Home Extension Worker Related Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the rural women's general status in relation with low back pain. This survey was done after teaching them the prevention and treatment of low back pain with Meckenzie Method. 84 rural resident women including rural life guidance. The results were as follows. 1. The average age of rural were $35{\sim}50$ years old and the guidance's age were $21{\sim}25$ years old. The educational level of rural women were highest in primary school(46.67 %) and the home extension worker were college education(83.67 %). 2. 75 % of rural woman complained low back pain while 17.33 % of the home extension worker had back pain. 3. The home extension worker feel the necessity of the education in low back pain(100 %) while 88.89 % of the rural woman agreed. 4. All the rural women and the home extension worker had the concept of back pain and its prevention(100 %). 5. After this education, the confidence in prevention and treatment were each 78.79 % with rural women and 91.84 % with home extension worker. 6. The necessity for the treatment of low back pain were : first, the correction of posture, second, the activity posture correction, third, the supportive roll of back curve. 7. There were no statistical significant outcome specifically.

효과적인 워터마크 신호의 생성과 보호 및 터보코딩을 이용한 전송채널상에서의 화질 보존 (Generation and Protection of Efficient Watermark Signals and Image Quality Preservation in Transmission Channel Using Turbo Coding)

  • In this paper, an implementation method of the efficient image transmission stage using watermarking and channel ceding is proposed. Usually, image communication system consists of both a transmitter part and a receiver part. The transmitter part takes charge of copyright protection of the generated image data, and image coding and compression that can deal with channel noises when transmitting. In the transmitter part, we propose a channel coding method which protects both the watermark signal and the original signal for protecting the copyright of image data and solving channel noises when transmitting. Firstly, copyright protection of image data is conducted. For this, image structure analysis is performed, and both the improvement of image quality and the generation of the watermark signal are made. Then, the histogram is constructed and the watermark signals are selected from this. At this stage, by embedding of the coefficients of curve fittness into the lower 4 bits of the image data pixels, image quality degradation due to the embedding of watermark signals are prevented. Finally, turbo coding, which has the most efficient error correction capability in error correction codes, has been conducted to protect signals of watermark and preserved original image quality against noises on the transmission channel. Particularly, a new interleaving method named "semi random inter]easer" has been proposed.

VLSI Implementation of Adaptive Shading Correction System Supporting Multi-Resolution for Mobile Camera

  • In this paper, we say the adaptive shading correction system supporting multi-resolution for mobile camera. The shading effect is caused by non-uniform illumination, non-uniform camera sensitivity, or even dirt and dust on glass (lens) surfaces. In general this shading effect is undesirable [1-3]. Eliminating it is frequently necessary for subsequent processing and especially when quantitative microscopy is the fine goal. The proposed system is available on thirty nine kinds of image resolutions scanned by interlaced and progressive type. Moreover, the system is using forty kinds of continuous quadratic equations instead of using the piece-wise linear curve which is composed of multiple line segments. Finally, the system could correct the shading effect without discontinuity in any image resolution. The proposed system is implemented in VLSI with cell library based on Hynix $0.25{\mu}m$ CMOS technology.
