진공 저온 플라즈마와 대기압 코로나 방전가공 PET 직물의 물리화학적 특성 (The Physicochemical Characteristics of PET Fabrics Treated with Low Temperature Glow Plasma and Atmospheric Corona Discharge)

  • The high value-added functionality for synthetic fiber can be considered through a plasma enhanced treatment. In this study, PET(Polyethyleneterephthalate) was treated with a glow plasma and corona treatment. Surface characteristics of treated fabric were investigated using electron scanning microscopy(SEM), contact angle, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), tensile and adhesion strength. It was found that the contact angle showed $85.5^{\circ}$ for untreated fabric, $0^{\circ}$ for plasma and corona treatment at the condition of 200W for 7min. By XPS analysis, atomic ratio of O 1s/C 1s was increased from 0.27 to 0.43 by glow plasma and 0.27 to 0.41 by corona treatment at 200W for 7min, respectively. Glow plasma and corona treatment did not significantly change the tensile strength of PET fabric. Adhesion strength showed a substantial enhancement for the surface treated with the glow plasma, while corona treatment was adversely affected.

  • A algorithm for control and performance of a pulse-density-modulated (PDM) series-resonant voltage source inverter developed for corona-dischange precesses is presented. The PDM inverter produces either a square-wave ac-voltage state or a zero-voltage state at its ac terminals to control the average output voltage under constant dc voltage and operating frequency. Moreover it can achieve zero-current-switching (ZCS) and zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) in all the operating condition for a reduction of switching lost. Even though the corona discharge load with a strong nonlinear characteristics, new high frequency resonant inverter is shown the wide range power control from 5% to 100%.

  • In this thesis, the electrification phenomenon was studied by measurement of charging current and discharging current in polymers when the carriers generated by corona discharge were supplied to the surface of polymers. Corona charging current of PVC, polar and noncrystalline polymer, was larger than that of nonpolar and amorphous polymers. Corona charging current on the specimen of naked upper surface (CIM) was larger than charging current on the specimen of electrode made. Carrier injection differed from interfacial phase of polymer surFace. The transfer phenomenon vaned with chemical structure of polymer and then the polar effect of PVC was remarkable because of large electron affinity of Cl. In the characteristics of discharging current of PVC, the abnormal current was observed. It was supposed that this phenomena presented the trap of injected carriers in PVC and that static electricity phenomenon was generated by trap.

  • In this paper, there analyzed the UV behavior and detection images due to corona discharge of insulators at 22.9kV. As the results, the shapes of UV detection images are jellyfish, sunflower, and amoeba type. Generally, the jellyfish and sunflower type appeared in air discharge. In surface discharge, Amoeba is generated. Also, there are classified 8 patterns such as sunflower A or B, jellyfish A or B, amoeba A, B, C, D. This method of the facilities assessment has an immediate effect in the field.

  • 폴리에스테르 편 직물들을 전류세기 5, 10, 15, 20 A로, 공급속도 5, 10, 15 m/min로 코로나 처리하였다. 이들의 표면변화를 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 X-ray 광전자분석기(XPS)로 확인하였다. 또한 물리적 성질의 변화를 인장강도, 건조 시와 습윤 시의 접착강도를 통하여 측정하였다. 접착에 사용된 접착제는 열경화성 반응형 폴리우레탄 핫 멜트 접착제이다. 대기압에서 코로나 방전처리에 의해 폴리에스테르 편 직물에 관능기들이 도입되어졌고, 표면에 요철이 발생하여 그 결과 접착력은 향상되었다. 건조 시 및 습윤 시의 접착강도를 모두 고려할 때, PET 직물의 코로나 처리에 있어 적절한 조건은 공급 속도 10 m/min, 전류 세기 15 A라 생각되며, mesh형 PET knit는 공급 속도 10 m/min, 10 A 이상의 전류세기라 생각된다.

FEM-FCT 기법을 이용한 코로나 방전 시뮬레이션에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Corona Discharge Simulation Using FEM-FCT Method)

  • In this paper, the corona discharge is analyzed by Finite Element Method(FEM) combined with Flux-corrected Transport(FCT) algorithm. In the previous papers, Finite Difference Method(FDM) combined with FCT was used. Usually in the FDM, the regionof interest is discretized with structured grids. But to refine local regions with same resolution, much more grids are required for the structured grids than for unstructured grids than for unstructured grids. Therefore, we propose the FEM-FCT method to simulate the corona discharge. The proposed method has good flexibility in model shape and can reduce the computational cost by the local refinement where the physical quantities have steep gradients. Using the proposed method, we study the streamer growth of parallel plate electrodes which is initiated by the low and high perturbation density. We find that the varying the initial density of perturbation has very little effect on the streamer propagation. And the corona discharge of the rod-to-plane electrode is simulated. On the surface of the rod electrode, the high concentration of the electric field gives rise to many number of streamer seeds. The strong axial streamer propagate to the plane electrode. The weaker non-axial streamer repel each other and stop growing more. The results are very similar to those of the papers which used the FDM-FCT method on structured grids. Thus we can conclude that the proposed FEM-FCT method is more efficient than the conventional FDM-FCT method by virtue of the reduction in computational grids number.

  • Partial Discharge is non-disruptive discharge, which can be discriminated to 3 kinds as firstly, internal discharge which is caused by internal voids inside of insulator, secondly, surface discharge which occurs from the surface of insulator and finally, corona discharge which is from the surface of an electrode. In this thesis, three kinds of defects are artificially made to the inside and the surface of the epoxy resine busing with internal voltage detection sensor, which is practically equipped into SF6 gas insulated switchgear for 22.9kV distribution line, so that discrimination of three kinds of PD signals by means of phi-q-n pattern analysis method was performed.

  • In this work, the effects of the corona treatment on surface properties of semiconducting silicone rubber were investigated in terms of contact angles, ATR-FTIR(Attenuated total reflection fourier transform infrared spectroscopy) and XPS(X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy). And the adhesive characteristics were studied by measuring the T-peel strengths. Based on chemical analysis, the surface modification can be mainly ascribed to the creation of chemically active functional groups such as C-O, C=O and C-OH on semiconducting silicone surface. This oxidized rubber layer is inorganic silica-like structure of Si bound with three to four oxygen atoms ($SiOx,\;x=3{\sim}4$. The Corona treatment produces an increase in joint strength that is maximum for 10 min treatment. However, due to brittle property of this oxidized layer, the highly oxidized layer from too much extended treatment could be act as a weak point, decreasing the adhesion strength.

  • The electrification phenomena of polymerized materials is governed by the competitive processes of the charge generation and the charge dissipation. In this paper, The charged particles were supplied on the naked upper surface of the polyethylene film from a point corona discharge with a screen electrode which controls the potential difference across the film. The charging current with the corona charging was found to be larger than that obtained with the electric charging on the MIM structure and the discharge current was found to flow in the same direction as that of the charging current. these results can suggest that the charge injection occurs from the interface between the polethylene surface and the accumulated charge layer, the injected charge are trapped and the space charge is established.

  • 본 연구에서는 고경질 도막재로 PET 필름을 접합하는 시공방법에 있어서 PET 필름의 표면처리 조건 및 겹침이음 길이에 따른 접합특성 및 내구특성을 검토하였는데, 그 결과 무처리 보다 코로나 방전 처리에 의해 접촉각, 접합 인장강도, 벗김저항성이 개선되었다. 특히 시험체 E (코로나 방전+프라이머+강접접착제+폴리에스터 부직포)에서 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 겹침 이음길이 15mm 이상일 때 16주간 장기간 열화처리에도 안정적인 접합성능을 확보하는 것으로 나타나 방수재료로서 수밀성을 확보할 것으로 판단된다.
