이주속압연된 무산소동 판재의 두께방향으로의 변형, 조직 및 기계적 특성 (Strain, Microstructure and Mechanical Properties Through Thickness of Oxygen Free Copper Sheet Processed by Differential Speed Rolling)

  • The strain, microstructure and mechanical properties through thickness of an oxygen free copper(OFC) processed by differential speed rolling(DSR) were investigated in detail. The OFC sample with thickness of 1 mm was rolled to 35% reduction at ambient temperature without lubrication changing the differential speed ratio from 1.0:1 to 2.2:1. The shear strain introduced by the conventional rolling showed positive values at positions of upper roll side and negative values at positions of lower roll side. However, it showed zero or positive values at all positions for the samples rolled by the DSR. The effects of strain distribution through thickness of the coper sheets on microstructure, texture and mechanical properties are discussed in the present study.

전자파차폐 및 방열 기능을 가지는 하이브리드시트 성능측정 (Performance Measurement of The Hybrid Sheet with Dual Function of Electromagnetic-Shielding and Heat-Dissipating)

  • 본 논문에서는 전자기기 등에서 전자파 차폐 및 방열소재로 많이 채택되는 동 메쉬 시트와 천연그라파이트 시트를 감압 접착제없이 합지시켜 개발된 차폐 및 방열의 기능을 동시에 가지는 하이브리드시트의 성능 측정결과를 제시하였다. 객관적인 방열 성능을 확인하기 위해 2개의 다른 제품들과 수직 및 수평 열전도도를 각각 측정하여 결과를 비교하였으며, 전자파 차폐 성능은 CISPR 11규격에 따른 복사방출시험을 3m 전자파 무향실에서 진행하여 확인하였다. 수직 열전도도의 경우 제안된 하이브리드 시트가 방열코팅이 된 알루미늄 시트 대비 약 8.63배, 감압 접착제로 인조 그라파이트를 합지시킨 구리 시트에 비해 18.7배 높은 수준이였으며, 수평 열전도도는 인조 그라파이트를 합지시킨 구리 시트에 비해 약 0.64배, 방열 코팅된 알루미늄 시트에 대해서는 약 1.76배로 나타났다. 동일한 열원에서 각 시트들을 적용 후 측정한 결과에서는 제안된 하이브리드 시트가 열방출 기능이 가장 우수하였고 복사방출시험에서는 방사노이즈들이 상당 부분 제거되는 결과를 얻었다.

  • A new sheet metal forming process, called flexibly reconfigurable roll forming (FRRF), is expected to resolve the economical limitation of the existing 3D curved sheet metal forming processes. The height-controllable guides and a couple of flexible rollers are utilized as the forming tool. Recently, as the 3D curved sheet metal is increasingly demanded in various fields, the application of FRRF to diverse materials is necessary. In addition, the formability comparison of several materials is needed. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the applicability of FRRF for different materials such as aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys, and also the formability of these materials was compared using FRRF. The numerical simulation was conducted using ABAQUS, the commercial software, and the experiments were carried out using an FRRF apparatus to validate the simulation results. Finally, the applicability of FRRF for the chosen materials and the formability of these materials on FRRF process were confirmed by comparing the simulation and experimental results.

자동차 이차전지 제조를 위한 알루미늄과 무산소동의 레이저 용접특성 (Laser Welding Characteristics of Aluminum and Copper Sheets for Lithium-ion Batteries)

  • Several joining methods involving resistance welding, laser welding, ultrasonic welding and mechanical joining are currently applied in manufacturing lithium-ion batteries. Cu and Al alloys are used for tab and bus bar materials, and laser welding characteristics for these alloys were investigated with similar and dissimilar material combinations in this study. The base materials used were Al 1050 and oxygen-free Cu 1020P alloys, and a disk laser was used with a continuous wave mode. In bead-on-plate welding of both alloys, the joint strength was higher than the strength of O tempered base material. In overlap welding, the effect of welding parameters on the tensile shear strength and bead shape was evaluated. Tensile shear strength of overlap welded joint was affected by interfacial bead width and weld defect formation. The tensile-shear specimen was fractured at the heat affected zone by selecting proper laser welding parameters.

혼합하중 조건하에서 갈색산화물이 입혀진 구리계 리드프레임/EMC 계면의 파손경로 (Failure Path of the Brown-oxide-coated Copper-based Leadframe/EMC Interface under Mixed-Mode Loading)

  • Copper-based leadframe sheets were oxidized in a hot alkaline solution to form brown-oxide layer on the surface and molded with epoxy molding compound (EMC). The brown-oxide-coated leadframe/EMC joints were machined to form sandwiched double-cantilever beam (SDCB) specimens and sandwiched Brazil-nut (SBN) specimens for the purpose of measuring the fracture toughness of leadframe/EMC interfaces. The SDCB and the SBN specimens were designed to measure the fracture toughness of the leadframe/EMC interfaces under nearly mode-I loading and mixed-mode (mode I + mode II) loading conditions, respectively. Fracture surfaces were analyzed by various equipment such as glancing-angle XRD, SEM, AES, EDS and AFM to elucidate failure path. Results showed that failure occurred irregularly in the SDCB specimens, and oxidation time of 2 minutes divided the types of irregular failures into two classes. The failure in the SBN specimens was quite different from that in the SDCB specimens. The failure path in the SBN specimens was not dependent on the phase angle as well as the distance from tips of pre-cracks.

Yield function of the orthotropic material considering the crystallographic texture

  • On the basis of the energy approach it is reported a development of the yield function and the constitutive equations for the orthotropic material with consideration of the crystal lattice constants and parameters of the crystallographic texture for the general stress state. For practical use in sheet metal forming analysis it is considered different loading scenarios: plane stress and plane strain states. Using the proposed yield function, the influence of single ideal components on the shape of yield surface was analyzed. The six texture components investigated here were cube, Goss, copper, brass, S and rotated cube, as these components are typically observed in rolled sheets from FCC alloys.

고효율 전자파 차폐를 위한 이종금속 코팅 탄소섬유 개발 (Development of Hybrid Metals Coated Carbon Fibers for High-Efficient Electromagnetic Interference Shielding)

  • 본 연구에서는 향상된 내구성을 가진 고효율 전자파차폐용 랜덤배향 시트 소재를 개발하기 위해 구리(Copper: Cu)와 니켈 (Nickel: Ni)이 코팅된 탄소섬유(Carbon fiber: CF)와 같은 하이브리드 소재를 습식공정을 통해 제조 하였다. 제조된 시트 소재는 69.4~93.0 dB의 높은 전자파 차폐효율을 보여주었다. 또한 하이브리드 금속으로 코팅된 Ni-Cu/CFs 시트는 Ni표면의 유효한 부식저항성과 기계적 저항성 때문에 가혹한 화학적/열적 환경하에서 매우 우수한 내구성을 보여주었다. 이와 관련하여 Ni-Cu/CF 시트는 Cu/CF 시트와 비교하여 1.7배 긴 수명을 가지는 것을 확인하였다.

금속박판 접합용 고분자화합물시트를 이용한 박형 히트파이프 내압성 및 유효열전도율 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Pressure Resistance and Effective Thermal Conductivity of Thin Heat Pipes Using Polymer Compound Sheets for Bonding Metal Thin Plates)

  • In this study, a pressure vessel for a heat pipe was fabricated by bonding a metal thin film using a polymer compound sheet. In order to confirm the applicability of the experimentally manufactured copper material thin heat pipe of 0.6 mm or less, the pressure resistance and effective thermal conductivity for pressure generated according to the type of the working fluid of the heat pipe were evaluated to suggest the commercialization potential of the thin heat pipe. As a result of evaluating the pressure resistance and effective thermal conductivity performance of the thin heat pipe, the following conclusions were drawn. 1) Using a PEEK-based polymer compound sheet, it was possible to fabricate a pressure vessel for a thin heat pipe with a pressure resistance of up to 1.0 MPa by bonding a copper thin film, and the possibility of commercialization was confirmed at a temperature below 120 ℃. 2) In the case of the effective thermal conductivity performance evaluation test, the effective thermal conductivity of ethanol was higher than that of FC72 and Novec7000, and in the case of ethanol, the maximum effective thermal conductivity was 2,851 W/mK at 3.0 W of heating.

가압경수로 사용후핵연료 중 세슘의 침출에 미치는 공학적 방벽 영향 (Effect of engineered barriers on the leach rate of cesium from spent PWR fuel)

  • 모의지하수중에서 가압경수로형 사용후핵연료로부터 세슘의 침출률에 미치는 공학적 방벽 영향을 규명하기 위하여 지난 약 6년간 벤토나이트 또는 금속시편등의 존재여부에 따라 침출시험을 수행하였다. 침출률은 시간이 경과함에 따라 지수함수적으로 감소하는 경향을 나타내었으며, 적정시간이 경과한 다음부터는 일정한 값에 수렴하는 경향을 나타내었다. 벤토나이트 또는 금속시편이 있을 경우 세슘의 누적누출분률은 선형적으로 증가하였으나, 이들이 없는 경우의 누적분률은 급격히 증가한 다음 서서히 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이 누적분률에서 갭에 존재하는 세슘의 재고량을 제한 값은 공학적 방벽이 존재하는 경우의 누적분률에 거의 근접하였다. 이러한 결과들은 사용후핵연료 중 세슘의 초기누출분률은 갭 중 세슘의 재고량에 의존하지만, 세슘의 장기침출률은 공학적 방벽에 거의 영향을 받지 않음을 암시해 주고 있다. 그러나 세슘의 초기침출률은 공학적 방벽의 지연효과로 감소될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 처분장에서 사용후핵연료 중 세슘의 장기침출률은 $2\times10^{-2}\;g/m^2-day$를 넘지않는 범위 내에서 일정한 값을 가질 것이다.

Long-term Dissolution Behavior of Cesium from Spent PWR Fuel in Contact with Compacted Bentonite under Synthetic Granitic Groundwater

  • The amount of cesium released from the leaching of spent fuels in contact with and without the compacted bentonite bloc]t which was compacted as the density of $1.4g/\textrm{cm}^3$, up to 5.7 years were measured and the empirical formula of the fractional release rate of cesium were derived from these measured values. The empirical formulas show that the long-term release rate of cesium under a repository would become a constant, as about $3{\times}10_{-6}$ fraction/day, after a certain period. The cumulative fractions of cesium released from the spent fuel with bentonite and with copper and stainless steel sheets were steadily increased, but the fraction from bare fuel was rapidly increased and then sluggishly increased. However, the remained value except its gap inventory from the cumulative fraction of cesium released from bare fuel was almost very close to the others. This suggests that the initial release of cesium from bare fuel might be dependant on its gap inventory.
