Copper is a well known alloying element that is used to improve the resistance to general corrosion of stainless steel And also Cu cation have the anti-fouling effect to inhibit adhesion of the marine algae and shellfish to the surface of heat exchanger cooling pipe or outside wall of the ship, Therefore there are some anti-fouling methods such as anti-fouling Paint mixed with copper oxide or MGPS(Marine Growth Preventing System) by using Cu cation dissolved to the sea wather solution. Cu cation can be dissolved spontaneously by galvanic current due to Potential difference between Cu and cooling pipe of heat exchanger with Ti material, which may be one of the anti-fouling designs. In this study the effect of annealing heat treatment to galvanic current and Polarization behavior was investigated with a electrochemical points of view such as measurement of corrosion Potential, anodic polarization curve. cyclic voltammetric curve, galvanic current etc The grain size of the surface in annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was the smallest than that of other annealing temperatures. and also the corrosion Potential showed more positive potential than other annealing temperatures. The galvanic current between Ti and Cu with annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was the largest value in the case of static condition. However its value in the case of flow condition was the smallest than the other temperatures. Therefore in order to increase anti-fouling effect by Cu cation, the optimum annealing temperature in static condition of sea water is $700^{\circ}C$, however non- heat treated specimen in the case of flow condition may be desirable.
The progenitor of Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) is mainly believed to be a carbon/oxygen white dwarf (WD) with non-degenerate (single degenerate) or another WD companion (double degenerate). However, there is little observational evidence of their progenitor system. Recent studies suggest that shock-breakout cooling emission after the explosion can constrain the size of the progenitor system. To do so, we obtained a optical/Near-IR light curve of SN 2019ein, a normal but slightly sub-luminous type Ia supernova, from the very early phase using our high-cadence observation of Intensive Monitoring Survey of Nearby Galaxies (IMSNG). Assuming the expanding fireball model, the simple power-law fitting of the early part of the light curve gives power indices of 1.91 (B) and 2.09 (R) implying radioactive decay of 56Ni is the dominant energy source. By comparison with the expected light curve of the cooling emission, the early observation provides us an upper limit of the companion size of R∗≤1R⊙. This result suggests that we can exclude a large companion such as red giants, which is consistent with the previous study.
In this study, the heat balance test of an engine was conducted, and the heat released to coolant is measured and corrected using a power adjustment factor for high fuel temperature to simulate heat rejection of the engine. An engine-converter matching simulation program which can compute the engine speed, transmission output speed, transmission input and output power is developed from the vehicle, transmission and engine performance curve. With this information and the engine heat rejection characteristics, the engine and transmission heat rejection rates can be determined at given condition. In analyzing the air mass flow, a sub program computing the air mass flow rate from the equation of the pressure balance between cooling fan static pressure rise and pressure losses of cooling components is developed.
The microstructures of the HAZ (Heat Affected Zone) are generally different from the base metal due to rapid thermal cycle during welding process. Particuraly, CGHAZ (Coarsened Grain Heat Affected Zone) near the fusion line is the most concerned region in which many metallurgical and mechanical discontinuities have been normally generated. A computer program by the numerical formularization of phase transformation during cooling with different rates was developed to generate the CCT diagram, and to predict microstructural (phase) changes in the CGHAZ. In order to verify simulated results, isothermal and continuous cooling transformation experiments were conducted. The simulated and experimental results showed that the developed computer model could successfully predict the room temperature microstructural changes (changes in volume fraction of phases) under various welding conditions (heat input & cooling rate $(Δt_{8/5})$).
PLC and its expansion module, electric ball valve and cooling pipe, electric heating steel plate and various components of the system, which is used to control test and process data. By automatically adjusting the opening of the valve, the system makes the top temperature and cooling speed develop along the ideal temperature diachronic curve. Moreover, the system enables the temperature difference between inside and surface of test block limited in a given range by automatically controlling the surface board heating. The method of physical simulation test by sandbox with built-in cooling water pipe and heating rod is adopted. On the premise of a given standard value, the operation of the system is checked under different working conditions. Further, an extension of this system is proposed, which enables its application to obtain some thermal parameters when cooperating with numerical simulation.

In a room air conditioning cooling system, if the room-sensible-heat-factor as plotted on a Psychrometric Chart intersects the saturation curve below the apparatus leaving air dewpoint, reheat must be used to maintain the design room air conditions. However, if the design room humidity is permitted to be raised to some degree, the cooling system will not require reheat as a new room-sensible-heat-factor line is developed between the apparatus leaving air dew-Point and the adjusted design room air conddition point. The advantages to this are the cost of reheat equipment and operation can be avoided. The cycle of this system can be shown on a Psychrometric Chart to plot the design condition points.

Hopkinson effect in the HDDR-treated Nd$\sub$15/Fe$\sub$77/B$\sub$8/ alloy was examined in detail by means of a thermomagnetic analysis with low magnetic field (600 Oe). The emergence and magnitude of maximum in magnetisation in the thermomagnetic curve due to the Hopkinson effect was correlated to the grain structure and coercivity of the HDDR-treated material. the HDDR-treated materials showed clear Hopkinson effect (maximum in magnetisation just below the Curie temperature of the Nd$\sub$2/Fe$\sub$14/B phase) on heating in the thermomagnetic curve. Magnitude of the magnetisation rise due to the Hopkinson effect became smaller as the recombination time increased. The magnetisation recovery at room temperature on cooling from above the Curie temperature became smaller as the recombination time increased. The HDDR-treated materials with shorter recombination time, finer grain size and higher coercivity showed larger magnetisation maximum due to Hopkinson effect in the thermomagnetic curve.
BV observations for V523 Cas were performed with 1.8m telescope and 2K CCD camera at Bohyunsan Optical Astronomy Observatory, Korea, on October 27, 1999. ${\Delta}m$ light curves for 11 comparison objects were made. It was found that their light curve slopes are different each other. Factor analysis for items of slope, (b-v) , magnitude, X pixel, and Y pixel results that there is strong correlation between the slope and the location (X,Y). It might be due to problems of CCD cooling system.

The dome stretching and tension test have been made to obtain a forming limit curve(FLC) for the copper alloy which is used for manufacturing the regenerative cooling chamber. For experimental survey of the forming limit curve, we have used in-plane tension specimen to obtain tension-compression strain state and also out of plane specimen to obtain tension-tension strain state through dome stretching test. All specimens are divided into longitudinal and radial direction specimens by the manufacturing method. The test results shows that in tension-tension region, copper alloy possesses a maximum major strain of 62.3% and maximum minor strain of 58.6%. In the tension-compression region, maximum major strain is 60.5% and maximum minor strain is 25.8%.
Objective: The aim of this research was to evaluate the mechanical properties (MP) and degree of the phase transformation (PT) of martensitic (M-NiTi), austenitic (A-NiTi) and thermodynamic nickel-titanium wire (T-NiTi). Methods: The samples consisted of $0.016\;{\times}\;0.022$ inch M-NiTi (Nitinol Classic, NC), A-NiTi (Optimalloy, OPTI) and T-NiTi (Neo-Sentalloy, NEO). Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), three-point bending test, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and microstructure examination were used. Statistical evaluation was undertaken using ANOVA test. Results: In DSC analysis, OPTI and NEO showed two peaks in the heating curves and one peak in the cooling curves. However, NC revealed one single broad and weak peak in the heating and cooling curves. Austenite finishing ($A_f$) temperatures were $19.7^{\circ}C$ for OPTI, $24.6^{\circ}C$ for NEO and $52.4^{\circ}C$ for NC. In the three-point bending test, residual deflection was observed for NC, OPTI and NEO. The load ranges of NC and OPTI were broader and higher than NEO. XRD and microstructure analyses showed that OPTI and NEO had a mixture of martensite and austenite at temperatures below Martensite finishing ($M_f$). NEO and OPTI showed improved MP and PT behavior than NC. Conclusions: The mechanical and thermal behaviors of NiTi wire cannot be completely explained by the expected degree of PT because of complicated martensite variants and independent PT induced by heat and stress.
