사무소건물의 슬래브축냉을 위한 내부발열부하의 확률적 성상 모델화 (Modeling of Stochastic Properties of Internal Heat Generation of an Office Building for Slab Cooling Storage)

  • It has been shown that the air-conditioning system with slab cooling storage is effective in cutting peak load and utilizing nighttime electric power. The stochastic properties of internal heat generation which has great influence on the cooling load are examined in this paper. Based on the measured cooling load and electric power consumption in an office building with slab cooling storage, stochastic time series models to simulate these random processes are investigated. Furthermore, a calculated result by an optimal control method of thermal analysis taking into account the internal heat is compared with the measured cooling load.

  • Recently, the amount of electrical heat pump(EHP), a electrical conditioning equipment, is sharply increasing due to the luxury and multi-story trend of building. Accordingly, the cooling load that occupying substantial part of summer electric consumption has increased dramatically, making difficulties in domestic supply of electricity in summer. There are some efforts to replace it with an alternative cooling equipment such as gas heat pump(GHP), a gas cooling equipment, in order to solve the problem of summer electricity supply through reducing the summer electricity peak. It is rare, however, to find studies on the actual effects of GHP on the reduction of summer electricity peak. This study, therefore, estimated the effects of the GHP on the summer electricity peak by the gas consumption and characteristics of gas cooling systems. In addition, electric substitution effects by gas cooling systems were analyzed through case studies in the summer of 2010.

Reliability Evaluations for Shear Strength of Resistance Welded Ball Stud according to Different Cooling Methods

  • As a type of bolt with a spherical head, the ball stud is widely used as a part of a ball joint in steering or suspension systems in automobiles. Balls and studs are subjected to heat treatment suitable for each material; in particular, the shear strength of the ball stud must meet the specifications of the production company. This study evaluated the shear strength of joints according to the cooling method of ball studs subject to resistance welding. The shear stress of water cooling was higher than that of air cooling (as-received material). Note, however, th at oil cooling showed lower stress than that of as-received. When judged by standard deviation, mean, and coefficient of variation according to the arithmetic statistics and shape parameter as well as scale parameter, oil cooling is suitable.

차량 엔진룸 냉각용 후드 개발을 위한 수치해석 (Numerical analysis for development of vehicle engine room cooling hood)

  • 본 연구는 자동차 엔진룸 내부에서 엔진과 연계된 부품의 냉각효과를 높이기 위해 후드 개발을 위한 수치해석을 다루고 있다. 급격한 온도편차에서 유발되는 엔진룸내 부품 온도를 저감시키면 부품에 대한 내구성 저하를 최소화 할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 차량 엔진룸 주요 부품 중에서도 온도제어가 비교적 용이한 발전기, 배터리, ECU 및 파워스틸 오일 등 4가지 부품을 목표로 엔진룸 냉각용 후드 개발을 위한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 그리고 수치해석을 검증하기 위하여 수치해석에서 가정하였던 동일한 조건으로 실험을 수행하여 비교하였다.

  • 현재의 컴퓨터는 고성능화, 다기능화, 소형화, 경량화 등의 이유로 인해 기기 내부에서 발생하는 열량이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 컴퓨터의 성능을 높이고 수명을 연장하기 위해서는 발열을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 열전소자를 이용한 열전냉각시스템을 구성하여 컴퓨터에 설치하였고, 실험을 통해 기존의 공기냉각시스템을 사용한 컴퓨터 내부의 온도분포와 열전냉각시스템을 함께 사용한 컴퓨터 내부의 온도분포를 측정한 후, 이를 비교하여 열전냉각시스템의 발열제어 성능을 알아보고자 하였다. 또한, 열전냉각시스템이 기존의 컴퓨터 냉각시스템을 대처할 수 있는 성능을 낼 수 있는지 예측해 보기 위해서 기존의 냉각시스템을 사용한 컴퓨터와 열전냉각시스템만을 사용한 컴퓨터 내부의 온도분포를 수치해석을 통해 예측하고 비교해 보았다.

  • 최근 생활수준의 향상과 세계적인 녹색성장 정책으로 환경에 대한 관심이 고조되어, 전력분야에서도 환경친화적인 설비가 요구되어 지고 있다. 이에 따라 전력용 변압기 냉각팬도 날개형상과 배치형태를 개선한 저소음 냉각팬이 개발되었으며, 일반 전력용 변압기 및 저소음 변압기에 적용될 예정이다. 냉각팬은 낮은 소음레벨 뿐만 아니라 우수한 냉각성능의 확보가 필수적이다. 그러나 현재까지 저소음 냉각팬의 소음레벨과 냉각성능에 대한 검토가 이루어지지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 소음레벨 측정과 풍량 측정 실험을 통해 저소음 냉각팬의 성능을 분석하였다. 또한 저소음 냉각팬을 적용한 전력용 변압기의 온도상승 시험을 통하여 냉각성능을 검증하였다.

  • This paper presents numerical analysis and design optimization of various turbine blade cooling techniques with three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) analysis. The fluid flow and heat transfer have been performed using ANSYS-CFX 11.0. A fan-shaped hole for film-cooling has been carried out to improve film-cooling effectiveness with the radial basis neural network method. The injection angle of hole, lateral expansion angle of hole and ratio of length-to-diameter of the hole are chosen as design variables and spatially averaged film-cooling effectiveness is considered as an objective function which is to be maximized. The impingement jet cooling has been performed to investigate heat transfer characteristic with geometry variables. Distance between jet nozzle exit and impingement plate, inclination of nozzle and aspect ratio of nozzle hole are considered as geometry variables. The area averaged Nusselt number is evaluated each geometry variables. A rotating rectangular channel with staggered array pin-fins has been investigated to increase heat transfer performance ad to decrease friction loss using KRG modeling. Two non-dimensional variables, the ratio of the eight diameter of the pin-fins and ratio of the spacing between the pin-fins to diameter of the pin-fins selected as design variables. A rotating rectangular channel with staggered dimples on opposite walls are formulated numerically to enhance heat transfer performance. The ratio of the dimple depth and dimple diameter are selected as geometry variables.

냉각곡선 분석을 통한 편상흑연주철의 공정반응에 미치는 희토류원소 및 냉각속도의 영향 평가 (Evaluation of Effects of Rare Earth Element and Cooling Rate on the Eutectic Reaction of Flake Graphite Cast Irons by Cooling Curve Analysis)

  • The effects of rare earth element (R.E.) and cooling rate on the eutectic reaction of flake graphite cast irons were studied by combined analysis of macro/micro-structure and cooling curve data. The correlation between eutectic reaction parameter and macro/micro-structure was systematically investigated. Two sets of chemical compositions with the different addition of R.E. were designed to cast. Three types of molds for cylindrical specimens with the different diameters were prepared to analyze cooling rate effect. The difference between undercooling temperature and cementite eutectic temperature (${\Delta}T_1=T_{U}-T_{E,C}$), which is increased by adding R.E. and decreased by increasing cooling rate, is considered to be a suitable eutectic reaction parameter for predicting graphite morphology. According to the criterion, A-type graphite is mainly suggested to form for ${\Delta}T_1$ over $20^{\circ}C$. Eutectic reaction time (${\Delta}t$), which is decreased by adding R.E. or increasing cooling rate, is a suitable eutectic reaction parameter for predicting eutectic cell size. Eutectic cell size is found to decrease in a proportion to the decrease of ${\Delta}t$.
