This study aims to investigate the effect of design thinking-based STEAM program for primary and secondary students. The design thinking-based STEAM program dealt with advanced scientific technology issues and it consisted of 8 topics. A questionnaire was developed to explore the change of Science concept awareness, Interest, Self-efficacy, Career consciousness of students through the program. The questionnaire consisted of following 4 areas, such as 'Science concept awareness', 'Interest', 'Career consciousness' and 'Self efficacy'. Pre-post test was conducted to 75 primary and secondary students. As a result of analyzing post-test compared to pre-test, 'Science concept awareness', 'Career consciousness' and 'Self efficacy' of students were improved. And the 'Interest' wasn't changed significantly. Through this research, it can be suggested that the design thinking-based STEAM program can be useful at school education to improve the Science concept awareness, Career consciousness and Self-efficacy of primary and secondary students. It is also proposed that further research of the various areas of interest and other affective variables will be needed.

The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of a disposition towards critical thinking, self-esteem, creative convergence competency, and professional self-concept as factors affecting the professional self-concept of nursing students. This study was conducted on 326 nursing students between July 1st and July 30th, 2020. The data was collected by self-reporting questionnaires and analyzed with the SPSS/Win19.0 program using the descriptive statistics t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The mean score of critical thinking disposition was 3.39±0.02, self-esteem 3.46±0.03, creative convergence competency 3.33±0.02, and professional self-concept 3.07±0.02 in nursing students. There was a significant positive correlation between professional self-concept and critical thinking disposition (r=.748, p<.001), self-esteem (r=.642, p<.001), and creative convergence competency (r=.707, p<.001). The significant factors influencing professional self-concept were critical thinking disposition, self-esteem and creative convergence competency, which explained 67.8% of the variance. Therefore, this study suggests that there is a need for a strategy that increases critical thinking disposition, self-esteem, and creative convergence competency to improve professional self-concept in nursing students.

Breaking down the boundaries between recent study has emerged as a key issue of convergence education to create new knowledge. The core of IT Convergence Education is being made through educational SW, SW purpose of education has been focused on improving the CT(: Computational Thinking). The purpose of this paper is to design a CT teaching model for activating IT Convergence Education. In this study, we designed a CT Curriculum focusing on algorithm and program for the purpose of enhancing non-majors learner's CT ability and software adaptability and being utilized in the majors. It is expected to be utilized to design a CT teaching methods and curriculum in University.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of computational thinking course on learning flow and collaborative self-efficacy of university students and to explore the effectiveness of computational thinking course as liberal arts education. For this study, 177 freshmen at a university in Chungnam Province were surveyed learning flow and collaborative self-efficiency. The collected data were analyzed with Stata IC 14 for 2 test and t-test. The results of this study are as follows. First, the learning flow of students who took computational thinking course were significantly higher(t=3.837 p<.001) compared to those who did not. Second, the collective self-efficiency of students who took computational thinking course were significantly higher(t=2.277 p<.01) compared to those who did not. Therefore the results show that computational course has positive effects on learning flow and collaborative self-efficiency of university students. Based on these findings, discussions and implications were presented on the importance and effectiveness of computational thinking course.
At the beginning of the discussion of early childhood software education, the study was conducted to apply an early childhood software education program based on computational thinking and analyze the effects of early childhood software education programs. In this study, a balanced distribution of software education, content elements and computing thinking elements was applied to achieve the ultimate goal of software education, which is to improve computing thinking. As early as possible, it's a good idea to start teaching to remind themselves how to think through experiences and play activities and to discover problems and find solutions by themselves. In the analysis results, early childhood software education program we applied affected positive impacts on software education effect, computational thinking of early childhood. Based on these results, a program was proposed for systematic early childhood software education that effective develope of computational thinking.

Our study is composed of Arduino robot assembly, board connecting and collaborative programming learning, and it is to evaluate their effect on improving secondary mathematics-science gifted students' convergence capability. Research results show that interpersonal skills, information-scientific creativity and integrative thinking disposition are improved. Further, by analyzing the relationship between the sub-elements of each thinking element, persistence and imagination for solving problems, interest of scientific information, openness, sense of adventure, a logical attitude, communication, productive skepticism and so on are extracted as important factors in convergence learning. Thus, as the result of our study, we know that gifted students conducted various thinking activities in their learning process to solve the problem, and it can be seen that convergence competencies are also improved significantly.

In this research, Many people understand that the (accidental) tip and the "analogy" that leads to it have played a central role in many instances of creative problem solving. And it has been pursued as a way to get more hints to make a 'knowledge base' which is a collection of many cases. The Unified Systematic Inventive Thinking (USIT), which makes it easier to apply TRIZ, will seek out various ideas through a process of analyzing the current system and examining the ideal system more clearly. In this paper, we describe the rationale and application procedure of the "6 step thinking method" which improves the "4 step thinking method".
This study investigated the effects of SW-efficacy on computational thinking STEAM literacy and the dual mediation effects of interest and student engagement in the relationship between SW-efficacy, computational thinking and STEAM literacy in robot-utilized SW convergence education. For achieving this purpose, robot-utilized SW convergence education targeting 146 middle schools students were carried out, post-survey regarding SW-efficacy, computational thinking, STEAM literacy, interest, and learning engagement were conducted. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS macro process for analysis of the dual mediation effect. Results were as follows: first, SW-efficacy had a significant effect on computational thinking and STEAM literacy. Second, interest did not mediate the relationship between SW efficacy, computational thinking and STEAM literacy, while student engagement mediated it. Third, SW efficacy had a significant effect on computational thinking and STEAM literacy dual-mediating effect of interest and student engagement. These results imply the roles of SW efficacy, interest and student engagement to improve computational thinking and STEAM literacy in robot-utilized SW education and provide implications with regard to robot-utilized SW education and instructional directions.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the concept of computational thinking in an easy-to-understand way for non-computer majors. First, It is necessary to expand from the problem-solving perspective to the perspective of problem discovery and creation ability, and establish it as a thinking ability that can cultivate human-like thinking, that is, creative thinking. Second, the concept of computational thinking can be viewed not only in the cognitive aspect but also in the emotional motive and attitude aspect. Third, systematic design of teaching methods is needed based on the expansion of the concept to computational thinking that helps learners to improve their reflective ability. It is expected that the results of this study will serve as basic research for various attempts in terms of the purpose and teaching method of computational thinking education in the future.

The aim of software education is to increase students' Computational Thinking(CT) skills that they can compose problems and provide solutions which can be carried out effectively by information-processing systems. Furthermore, if problem solving situations can provide students with meaningful problem solving opportunities in authentic social contexts, then software education would be more valuable. This study pursued educational robot-based SW convergence education where 4th grade primary students have access to tangible outputs and can engage in authentic problem solving situations working with peers by using robots and programming. In addition, this study investigated the effectiveness of the classes in terms of computational thinking skills and social capabilities(collaborative skills and communication skills). The current study provides educational robot-based SW convergence education cases of a primary school and discusses the effectiveness of the classes in terms of students' computational thinking skills and social capabilities.
