This study aims to investigate the effects of self-service technology (SST) characteristics and consumer characteristics on consumer resistance and satisfaction with SST in restaurants. An online survey was conducted for consumers in their 20s and 50s who used SST at restaurants, and 343 data were used for analysis. As a result, convenience and tech-controllability have a negative effect on consumer resistance with SST, whereas complexity, social risk and relationship orientation have a positive effect. In addition, convenience, entertainment, and tech-controllability have a positive effect on consumer satisfaction with SST, whereas social risk and relationship orientation have a negative effect. This study contributes practically and academically in that it proposes a practical strategy to reduce consumer resistance and increase satisfaction, and identifies the determinants of consumer response to SST. In future studies, an in-depth analysis of consumers' ambivalent responses to SST is required.

This study is aimed at controlling the fiber orientation and improve the fiber distribution in fiber-reinforced cement composites using blades that can be placed inside the existing nozzles. To optimize the blade parameters, multi-physics finite element analysis was performed that could account for the flow of the cementitious matrix material, the movement of the entrained fibers, and the interactions with the nozzle. As a result, this study defined the blade distance, length, and position as a function of the fiber length to be used in the field. The blades with a distance from 1.2 to 2.4 times the fiber length and length from 4 to 8 times the fiber length, as well as located at below 14 times the fzfiber length from the nozzle exit maintained the fiber orientation angle less than $5^{\circ}$. In addition, the blade-type nozzle proposed in the study can be attachable and detachable to the conventional casting equipment, and thus it can provide the usability and convenience in practical applications.
Purpose - Without question, globalization has presented different opportunities to entrepreneurs seeking to expand their companies in foreign markets. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial activity, information internalization, and product differentiation in export oriented firms. As such, entrepreneurial activities are divided into exploitative and exploratory opportunities. These opportunities are crucial in improving firms' performance. Design/methodology - A structural questionnaire was developed using 21 factors/indicators from previous researches. The subjects of this study were recruited using convenience sampling in export SMEs in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. Data were collected through visits or e-mails from the export managers, executives, and CEOs of export SMEs in advance. 321 questionnaires were collected over a period of one month. 316 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. Findings - First, International Entrepreneurial-orientation (IE) has a positive effect on the exploration and exploitation of business opportunities. Second, the exploration and exploitation of business opportunities have a positive impact on information internalization. Third, information internalization has a significant effect on product differentiation and plays a mediating role in seeking opportunities, utilizing opportunities, and differentiating products. Originality/value - This study contributes to the development of academic discussions by explaining existing research gaps. First, there is currently a lack of research focusing precisely on the product differentiation capability of SMEs in manufacturing field in terms of IE. To bridge these gaps, we examined the entrepreneurial factors impact on product differentiation and tries to expand the discussion about the internationalization of SMEs, which were mainly focused on IT companies, and manufacturing companies. Second, there is no intuitive explanation regarding international entrepreneurial activity in terms of exploration and exploitation within existing. In this study, international entrepreneurship activities were classified in terms of exploration and exploitation.
The purpose of this study is to examine the causality among customer orientation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment of food service employees using a non-recursive model. To do this, literary and empirical research was carried out. In the literary research, this study examined previous studies related to the concepts such as customer orientation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The empirical research was analyzed based on the questionnaire answered by 203 food service employees. Main results of this study are indicated below. First, customer orientation had a positive effect on job satisfaction(t=2.404, p=0.016). Second, job satisfaction had a positive effect on organizational commitment(t=8.555, p=0.000). Third, organizational commitment had a positive effect on customer orientation(t=6.071, p=0.000). Our main theoretical and practical implication includes the significance of extending the range of research by verifying the non-recursive causality among customer orientation, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The limitations of this study are possible problems with generalization by convenience sampling in limited areas.
The purpose of this study is to present a new orientation for the residential culture that can meet the shifting demands of modern people as their attitudes toward life change. One of the rural regions that has lately attracted considerable attention, Wonsam-myun, Yongin city, is selected as the residence zone to develop a housing complex. In this study, a new housing complex is designed to supplement the defects of existing housing complexes by making the utmost use of the merits that Wonsam-myun as a residential environment can offer. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. To present a new Korean model, yellow soil houses and traditional trees were used to utilize Korea's traditional landscape beauty in the construction and landscape aspect, instead of imitating indiscreetly foreign styles in which most newly developed housing complexes were built. 2. To provide convenience to prospective residents, a package sales scheme covering from lot purchase to building permit was adopted. 3. As for the planting plan, existing plants was preserved as much as possible to keep harmony with new plants. In selecting plant types, a traditional method that emphasizes on the visual effects of aesthetic plants and shade trees with the change of seasons and plants various kinds of plants according to directions was adopted. 4. Each household was given the opportunity to design its own garden according to the family's preference and taste. 5. The advantages of a rural area that city does not offer were fully utilized to provide the residents with convenience and pleasure of living.

This paper tried to find out what the main factors are to impact on satisfaction level of transit passengers at Incheon airport. Incheon airport has made lots of transit facilities and services to attract transit passengers from neighboring airports to increase transit rate as high as advanced foreign airports such as Heathrow, Schiphol and Hong Kong. A survey was performed on 450 transit passengers resting at airport transit lounge in airside area. According to the result, it was found out to be significant factors affecting satisfaction of transit that convenience of security screening, price of duty-free product, a direction board & signage and terminal orientation among Chinese transit passengers. On the other hands, it seemed that Japanese transit passengers thought diversity of airline routes, convenient transfer flight schedule, total transit time and terminal orientation are major variables affecting their satisfaction. Considering the effect of demographic factors, Chinese passenger's satisfaction was more affected by age, travel purpose, the number of travel per year and flight destinations. However, Japanese transit passenger's satisfaction was only affected by the flight destinations, especially willing to travel to North America and Europe.

This study aimed at categorizing food product consumer's life types, understanding properties of each type, identifying differences in the food consumption pattern, and suggesting a strategical plan to implement market segmentation for the future food products. A demonstrative analysis revealed that consumption tendencies of the sample group in the Busan area could be categorized into four types-popular brand orientation, convenience and practicality orientation, and change and innovation oriention; an analysis of demographical differences in each group demonstrated that variabes of age and family formation showed a significant difference within a significant level. A test of differences in the significance among food consumption types in each group demonstrated that there was no signifcant difference in the number of dining-out, average cost of dining-out per person, dining-out of the week, cost of dinner, and attributes of food service selection. To the contrary, there was a significant difference in the purpose of dining-out, place of lunch, cost of lunch, menu of dinner, and food service information medium among consumption tendencies of each within a significant level.
Purpose: Due to the rapid growth of e-commerce in Thailand, the operational excellence of distribution service providers has been elevated. Thus, this research investigated the key drivers of operational performance of e-commerce distributors in Thailand. The research contains key variables: the analytics capabilities of an organization, supply chain disruption orientation, innovation capability, and operational performance. Research design, data, and methodology: An online survey is administered to top managers and key personnel (N=425) employed for at least one year in Thailand's top five e-commerce distributors. The sampling methods were conducted using purposive sampling, quota sampling, and convenience sampling. Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Model were applied to analyze and confirm the model's goodness-of-fit and hypothesis testing. Results: The findings reveal that an organization's analytics capabilities significantly affect supply chain disruption orientation and supply chain resilience. Furthermore, operational performance is affected by supply chain disruption, supplier quality management, and innovation capability. Nevertheless, supply chain resilience and digital supply chain have no significant effect on operational performance. Conclusions: The results imply that supply chain digitalization could drive higher operational performance. Distribution businesses are encountering transformation and disruption, which should address the high level of a digital supply chain, innovation, and quality management to maximize their profit margin and delivery service quality.

This research serves as a valuable resource for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers seeking to advance the understanding of organizational dynamics in this critical industry.
Objectives: Previous research on turnover has been conducted from the organization's perspective. However, for the long-term retention of dental hygienists, it is necessary to conduct research from an individual's perspective. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of achievement motivation on the intention to stay of dental hygienists. Methods: This study conducted an online survey targeting dental hygienists working in dental healthcare institutions, using convenience sampling from September, 2023. The analysis included 152 participants with long-term work experience and 121 participants with shorter work experience. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to identify factors influencing retention intentions (PASW Statistics ver. 23.0, p<0.05). Results: Factors influencing intention to stay for long-term dental hygienists included the number of dental hygienists and achievement motivation (responsibility, challenge, task orientation), with a significant impact (adj. R2=0.317). For shorter-term dental hygienists, achievement motivation (challenge, task orientation) demonstrated a significant impact (adj. R2=0.164). Conclusions: It was observed that intrinsic factors, particularly achievement motivation, had a significant impact on intention to stay. Consequently, exploring strategies to satisfy intrinsic motivation, such as achievement motivation, is deemed necessary.
