전기히터방식 매연여과장치의 PM 산화 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the PM Oxidation Characteristics of Electrical Heater DPF System)

  • For continuously regenerative PM collecting system which adopted thermally stable SiC DPF and electrical heater which was placed upstream of the filter and driven by well constructed control logic, PM oxidation characteristics were investigated varying air flow rate, amounts of PM accumulated on the DPF and filter inlet temperature in order to get optimized PM regeneration performance. This study showed that the operating condition of air flow rate 70 lpm, high PM loading around 30g and filter inlet temperature $700^{\circ}C$ with heat insulation was effective in achieving high regeneration efficiency. Also, in this condition, we could decrease the electric energy consumption by reducing the regeneration time.

부산 감천문화마을 재생을 위해 도입된 공공미술의 지역활성화 효과 (The Local Revitalization Effects of Public Arts Introduction to Gamcheon Culture Village Regeneration)

  • Today, modern society pursues the paradigm of creative city and regeneration. Cultural regeneration of revitalizing locality by utilizing culture catches attention, is a major approach. Public arts is considered as a catalyst of cultural regeneration, and it inspires vitality to declined districts. Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan has accelerated propagation of revitalization only in recent couple of years, and it has been developing with residents' participation continuously. The purpose of this research is to analyse the revitalizing effects of public arts introduction to Gamcheon Culture Village regeneration. In specific, social, cultural, economical, physical and environmental revitalization effects of the village were defined. The research method is questionnaire survey and 320 reponses from residents and visitors were collected. Data were statistically analyzed with SPSS18.0. The effects of public arts introduction to Gamcheon Culture Village regeneration are positive overall. However, according to the districts of the village, having diversity of art projects in both quantity and quality, the perceptions were different. Regeneration with utilizing public arts for revitalizing declined district, the Gamcheon case shed light on the future. The research indicated the value of public arts and some strategies of allocating art projects.

A Study of Hox Gene Expression Profile During Murine Liver Regeneration

  • Liver is an organ having an ability to regenerate by itself when it is damaged or removed. Since the research on the liver regeneration so far was regarding on the cellular multiplications not the formation of the shape, we intended to analyze the expression pattern of Hox genes during liver regeneration. RNA samples isolated from liver at the time of partial hepatectomy, 4 hours as well as 3 days later following regeneration were used to perform RT-PCR with Hox-specific degenerate primers. The PCR products were cloned, sequenced and analyzed through BLAST program. Genes belonging to the AbdB type Hox genes (paralogous groups IX-XIII) expressed predominantly during regeneration, while the other group (I-VII), especially Hoxal and bl seemed to be expressed continuously before and after regeneration. These data altogether imply that paralogous group IX and X genes including Hoxa10 and d10 seemed to be regeneration specific genes of liver.

자연재해위험지구 정비사업의 효율적인 추진방안 연구 (On Efficient Implementation of the Regeneration Projects for the Zones Vulnerable to Natural Disasters)

  • 본 연구에서는 예산지원이 원활치 못한 자연재해위험지구에 대한 정비사업을 효율적으로 추진하고, 재해예방사업을 조속히 이행하며 재정지원을 안정적으로 확보할 수 있는 몇 가지 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 자연재해위험지구 지정절차 및 법적등 제도적 장치 에 대한 분석을 수행하고, 경기도에서 수행된 정비사업을 지역, 피해이력, 연간투자계획, 재정기금 등의 측면에서 조사 분석 하였다. 추가적으로 재난관리기금을 보존하거나 사용하는 여부를 결정하는 기준을 조사하였으며, 기금출처 및 지출, 기금사용의 법적 문제점을 분석하고 그 해결책을 제시하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서는 재난관리기금이 재난위험을 초기에 감소시키기 위해서 자연재해위험지구 정비사업에 투자될 수 있도록 법적제도를 완화하여야 하며, 적립금 상한제를 두어 초과분은 재해예방사업에 안정적으로 투자 할 수 있는 재원으로 활용해야함을 제안하고자 한다.

  • This work deals with description of gas purifing system to product high pure helium gas using low temperature absorption. The system controls temperature of heaters, open/close of solenoid valves and levels of liquid nitrogen to purify a raw gas and continuously products purified gas with perfoming alternatively purification and regeneration. We develop the monitoring and control program to monitor the gas purification process on real-time and control the process time with checking the impurities in purified gas. From the result of system operation, the developed monitoring and control system continuously products high pure helium gas with reducing impurities in raw gas to permitted limits(less than 0.01 ~ 0.05 ppm)

  • The goals of this research are to understand the regeneration characteristics in diesel particulate filter using the HC injection. This research emphasized on the development of Continuously Regenerating DOC/DPF and HC technology which was the best particulate matters removing technology of current existing technology. This experimental study has been conducted with equipped a Continuously Regenerating DOC/DPF and HC injection on displacement 2.0, 3.3 $\ell$ diesel engine and compared in terms of particulate material and emission. In this study, we could constructed 3 kinds of database according to quantity of temperature to decide the HC injection quantity and develop DOC/DPF ECU algorithm.

전통마을의 빈집 재생, 활용을 통한 지역 활성화에 관한 연구 - 일본 담바사사야마시(丹波篠山市) 고민가 재생 프로젝트를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Regional Revitalization through Regeneration and Utilization of Vacant Houses in Historic Village - Focused on the Traditional Housing Regeneration Project of Tambasasayama in Japan -)

  • Recently, cultural property policies have changed from the preservation of cultural assets to the utilization of cultural assets. In historic villages, more and more traditional housings have been used as lodging facilities. On the other hand, low birth rates, aging population, declining population due to population outflow to the cities, increasing vacant houses, and aging buildings are tasks of historic villages. To be preserved the historic villages continuously, it is time to review how to regenerate and utilize the growing number of vacant houses. This study targets Tambasasayama city, which is drawing attention to the regeneration and utilization of vacant houses among historic Japanese villages. We want to analyze the operation systems and deregulation of a traditional housing regeneration project in Tambasasayama city and draw suggestions for the regeneration and utilization of vacant houses in traditional villages in South Korea.

Osmotic membrane distillation with continuous regeneration of stripping solution by natural evaporation

  • The paper presents an experimental set-up for osmotic membrane distillation, which can be operated continuously for several weeks. NaCl solutions were used as an osmotic solution. The influence of osmotic solution concentration on the obtained permeate flux is presented. The experimental set-up was equipped with a system for the regeneration of dilute brine. The regeneration was carried out using a method of natural evaporation to the air surrounding the installation. The evaporation area was created by the Białecki rings, assembled in the form of tower. The obtained evaporation rate was sufficient to maintain a constant NaCl concentration (over 300 g/L), for air with the relative humidity in the range of 30-80%. Accurel PP S6/2 hydrophobic polypropylene membranes were used in the study. The membranes exhibited 100% rejection for 600 h of the process duration.

Efficient Plantlet Regeneration via Callus Formation from Leaf Segment of Lilium Oriental Hybrid 'Casa Blanca'

  • Callus induction from a leaf explant has been achieved in Lilium Oriental hybrid 'Casa Blanca'. The highest frequency of callus induction was obtained on MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/L BA and 2.0 mg/L NAA after 2 months of culture. The cultures maintained continuously without change in color and type of callus when they cultured in the dark. Plantlet regeneration with a high frequency was achieved from induced calli on the same medium. A number of shoots are formed from one cluster of callus, and bulblets developed into intact plantlets after transfer to hormone-free MS medium. No phenotypic variations were observed among regenerants. Enhancement in plantlet regeneration via callus formation would be expected to facilitate the efficiency of transformation of this Oriental hybrid 'Casa Blanca'.

Peripheral Nerve Regeneration Through Nerve Conduit Composed of Alginate-Collagen-Chitosan

  • Although the peripheral nerve system has a relatively good regenerating capacity compared to the central nerve system, peripheral nerve repair remains a clinical challenge as restoration of normal nerve function is highly variable. Synthetic tubular nerve conduits were designed as an alternative repair method in order to replace the need for an isograft. These nerve conduits guide regenerating axons from the proximal toward the distal end, maintain within growth-promoting molecules released by the nerve stumps, and protect regenerating axons from infiltrating scar tissue. In this work, we prepared cinnamoylated alginate (CA)-collagen-chitosan nerve conduit using the lyophilization method to generate a controllable parallel channel in the center and then investigated its influence on peripheral nerve regeneration in an animal study. At 12 weeks after implantation, histological study showed that tissue cable was continuously bridging the gap of the sciatic nerve in all rats. Our newly developed nerve conduit is a promising tool for use in peripheral nerve regeneration and provides a suitable experimental model for future clinical application.
