스마트 디바이스를 보유 및 사용하고 있는 사람들이 계속해서 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 스마트 디바이스를 보다 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 기술, 그 중에서도 상황 인지 기술에 대한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 기존의 상황 인지 기술은 인지할 수 있는 상황이 매우 단편적이며, 시스템을 원활하게 가동하는 데 필요한 사전 작업이 번거로운 등 여러 가지 제한이 존재한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 상황 인지 기술 중에서도 가장 많이 사용되는 위치 정보 기반 시스템과 화상 데이터 기반 시스템을 융합하여, 위치한 장소의 특성을 파악할 수 있는 상황 인지 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 위치정보가 삽입되어있는 화상 데이터를 분석하여 장소의 특성을 파악하고, 해당 위치에 도달하였을 때 특성에 맞는 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 해당 시스템을 통해 상황 인지 기반 서비스를 쉽게 구축할 수 있고, 사용자가 쉽게 서비스를 제공받도록 할 수 있다.

요즘 시대는 영상 기술과 IT 발전으로 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위해 고품질의 비디오와 높은 데이터 압축을 요구하게 되었고, 이를 위해 MPEG-4 AVC/H.264에서는 기존의 MPEG-4에서 채택한 VLC 기술과 유사한 Context-based Adaptive Variable Length Code(CAVLC)기술을 채택하여 이를 가능하게 하였다. 특히 CAVLC 기술은 HDTV처럼 큰 영상 뿐 아니라 카메라폰이나 DMB등과 같은 영상에서 고품질의 영상을 보다 효율적으로 제공 한다. 본 논문은 최근의 이미지와 비디오 압축에 대한 요구에 따라 H.264/AVC와 MPEG4-PART 1-에서 표준으로 채택한 CAVLC의 부호화 과정을 연구하여 Visual C++언어를 이용한 최적화된 시뮬레이션과 CAVLC의 성능평가를 통한 최적화를 실시하였고, 최적화된 예측 정보를 바탕으로 CAVLC를 VHDL언어를 이용하여 하드웨어로 구현하였다.

오늘날 대부분의 분산 컴퓨팅 환경들은 매우 복잡하다. 이러한 분산 환경위에 동작하는 시스템들은 문제 발생시 원인의 진단과 치유에 소비되는 시간이 높다. 이에 유비쿼터스환경으로 발전하기 위하여 네트워크를 구성하는 시스템들의 문제나 장애의 자가 진단 및 치유에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 자가 치유 시스템에서 연구되어왔던 일률적인 치유가 아닌 각각의 시스템의 상황을 인식하고 그것에 맞추어 치유전략을 달리하는 상황인식 기능과 치유 결과 분석을 통해 치유전략을 자발적으로 개선해 나가는 기능을 제공한다. 제안 시스템은 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 유효성을 입증하고 있다.

Handover is constantly a challenging issue in wireless networks. Most of the existing solutions are host-based, which are implemented on the wireless terminals and leave the decision making to the terminals. This paper studies the problem of network-based handover in the wireless networks with the constraints of low latency as well as low computational time. To address this problem, we employ the software-defined network (SDN) architecture to facilitate handover. According to the operational model of the SDN, we define a workflow for all involved network entities, and then design a framework implementing the workflow as a complete handover system. The proposed framework aims to establish a channel conveying the mobility-related information of devices and the context information of their vicinity from the switches/access routers to the controllers. Based on collected information, the controller can optimally execute the handover.

The article examines the process of professional training in educational institutions, media technologies and methods of media communication in the educational space of the institution, characterizes the place of media technologies in the educational space in the context of the term "educational space" itself, systematizes the methods of media communications in education. The peculiarities of media education as a set of means and methods of teaching young people adequate media perception are pointed out.

One way for phatic communication to be linguistically realized involves ritual activities, such as greetings and leave-takings. These conventionalized acts in medical contexts can significantly influence both transactional and interpersonal goals. The analysis in this paper confirms that exchanging rituals such as greeting and leave-taking between doctors and patients is not a simple exchange of conventionalized linguistic symbols. In addition, the use of discursive strategies means that to determine whether an expression is phatic or not, it is necessary to analyze it from the multidimensional perspective. The phaticity is established based on the negotiation between the participants during the interaction. We have found that the interrogative form of greeting like "¿Qué tal?" (How are you?) becomes a versatile resource in the medical context. Thus, professionals need to be attentive to the discourse progress, because the phaticity of the interrogative greetings (illocutionary force) is linked, in the vast majority, with the reaction of the patients. Also, the data confirms that when participants coordinate closings, the exchange of turns lengthens and the intervention of various discursive strategies for phatic communion becomes more prominent.

An increasing number of studies have examined the effects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on corporate financial performance (CFP) in the service industry. However, the extant literature does not provide comprehensive insights into the conditions on which the CSR-CFP link relies. In this study, firms' marketing communication capability (MCC) is introduced as an important contingency variable, which determines the effects of CSR on the corporate financial performance, in the context of restaurant businesses. Multiple year data on the spending of public restaurant chains on different media are collected, and MCC is subsequently measured using the data envelope analysis. Then, a test is conducted to prove whether MCC moderates the relationship between CSR and firm financial performance. The empirical results support the hypothesis that MCC strengthens the effect of CSR on CFP. Through the findings, this research provides several interesting and important implications to the literature and managers of service firms.

This is the premise that the language's cultural understanding must preceded the process in order to facilitate the communication of foreign languages. In order to understand the contemporary social culture of Korea and China, we sued the film 'Simple Life 'to conduct Chinese cultural education. For this, we first selected the theme of the culture, which is an issue in the modern society that appears in the film. Using the ambassador in the movie 'Simple Life",questionnaires and classes based on the culture selected for the subject were sometimes divided among the students of the Korean and China, and sometimes shared opinions and discussions and communication. The result of such a class progression are as follows: understanding the context of the culture and the use of movies can help you communicate smoothly.

This study examines factors influencing nonusers' resistance to the adoption of the metaverse, focusing on propagation mechanisms. It elucidates the role of innovation resistance within the metaverse adoption process. We applied the Innovation Resistance Model in the context of the metaverse and considers three major groups of factors influencing resistance to the metaverse: innovation characteristics (perceived usefulness, compatibility, perceived risk, and complexity), consumer characteristics (personal innovativeness), and propagation mechanisms (mass media, online media, and personal communication). An online survey of college students who do not use the metaverse revealed that perceived usefulness, compatibility, personal innovativeness, and online media were negative predictors of resistance to the metaverse. Conversely, perceived risk, mass media, and personal communication were positive predictors of resistance to the metaverse. Furthermore, innovation resistance was found to play a mediating role in the metaverse adoption process. Drawing upon the findings, we suggested marketing strategies to decrease resistance to the metaverse.

The intelligibility of a spoken message is influenced by a number of factors. Intelligibility is a joint product of a speaker and a listener. In addition, intelligibility varies with the nature of the language context and the context of communication. Thus a single intelligibility score can not be ascribed to a given individual apart from listener and listening situation. But there is a clinical and research need to develop assessment measures of intelligibility that are quantitative and analytic. Before developing the index of intelligibility, the crucial factors need to be examined. Among them, the most significant in intelligibility is the speech factors of speakers. The following section reviews the literature dealing with the contribution of segmental and suprasegmental factors in speech intelligibility regarding the hearing impaired, alaryngeal, and motor disorders.
