Group Cohesiveness Context Aware Computing Methodology for Computer Mediated Communication (컴퓨터 매개 커뮤니케이션(CMC)에서의 집단 응집성 인식 방법론)

  • Context-aware computing aims to enable the on-line applications and services to be executed in a timely and automated manner. Many of such applications and services involve group-level interactions. For more smoothing communication within a community, specific group-level issues such as group dynamics must be considered. To do so, obtaining group-level contexts such as the role, conflict resolution and norms, are key ingredients to improve group performance. Since group context is not the same as a simple summation of individual context, as group is not just a simple set of individuals, awaring individual context is not sufficient for group-level communication support. However, context-aware computing research still has stressed more on individual context. This leads us to the motivation of searching for group context aware method. Hence, the of this paper is to propose a novel methodology which automatically recognizes group context. Especially, we focus on group conhesiveness in this paper just because group cohosiveness is one of the important variables to control the performance of group interaction. To verify the applicability of the proposed method, an empirical test has been conducted to compare the performance of the proposed methodology with that of conventional methods.

  • In this paper, context-aware technologies using a Kinect sensor for a digital signage which is increasingly growing as the 4th screen media is presented. Generalized context-aware functions for a digital signage were studied and a context-aware digital signage platform was developed. It can support a natural user interface for controlling a digital signage and actively provide contents adapted to its context. As a basic context, user's gesture and voice, the number of users, sound direction were considered. In the future, the advanced functions such as age, gender will be studied. The implemented platform could be a good reference model when developing a general context-aware digital signage.

  • It is essential to have Context-aware technology for personalization recommendation services and the appropriate representation and definition of Context information for context-aware. Ontology is possible to represent knowledge freely and knowledge can be extended by inferring. In addition, design of the ontology model is needed according to the purposes of utilization. This paper used context-aware technologies to implement a user personalization recommendation service. It also proposed the context through OWL modeling for user personalization recommendation service and used inference rules and inference engine for context reasoning.

  • The main purpose of the study is to determine information and communication technologies for the innovative development of tourism training in higher education institutions in the context of COVID-19. Innovative development is associated with the rejection of well-known cliches, stereotypes in teaching, upbringing and personal development, creates new standards for personal-creative, individually directed tourism activities, develops pedagogical technologies implemented in this activity. As a result, the main aspects of information and communication technologies for the innovative development of tourist training in higher education institutions in the context of COVID-19 were characterized.

  • The analysis of the variable continuous big data stram should reach the destination context awareness. This study presented a novel way of context inference of the variable data stream from sensor motes. For assessment of the sensor data, we calculated the difference of each measured value at the time window and determined the belief value of each focal element. It was beneficial that calculate and assessment of factor of situation for context inference with the Dempster-Shfer evidence theory.

  • Recently, a few studies on context information have been focused to collect phenomena data like a temperature and a humidity in indoor environments. The importance of the former is increasingly recognized with changing environments and increase of heat stress in building. In this paper we present an indoor comfort index framework based on GIS for supporting context information instead of phenomena data in environments. We also present method for supporting comfort index and context information based on GIS in outdoor environments.

  • 상황인지(Context-awareness)란 사용자의 상황을 인지하여 이를 통해 사용자에게 적합한 최적의 정보를 제공하는 것으로 현재 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이미 상황인지를 위한 프레임워크들이 존재하지만, 작은 메모리가 요구되는 제한적인 하드웨어 상황에서 적용하기에 적합하게 설계된 프레임워크는 흔하지 않다. 이에 대한 문제점을 인식하여 하드웨어 리소스가 부족한 상황에서 빠르게 동작할 수 있는 프레임워크를 구상하여, 기존과는 다른 제한적인 환경 안에서 상황인지를 통해 사용자에게 맞는 최적의 서비스를 판단, 제공하는 모바일 오브젝트를 설계하였다.

Location Tracking based on MS-Based/Assisted Location Trigger Model with Context-Awareness

  • In this paper, we proposed the location tracking system based on MS-Based/Assisted(Mobile Station-Based and Assisted) location trigger service model with context-awareness for the intelligent location tracking of moving objects. It provides the proper resulting value that matches the context of users through the analysis about the situation of the user, physical environment, computing resource and the existing information on user input. In order to provide real-time data, we proposed the location tracking system which realizes the intelligent information such as the expecting arrival time and passing the specific area of the moving object by adopting the location trigger. So, it derives to minimize the costs of communication for the mobile object tracking applications. The proposed location tracking system based on context-awareness can be used for realtime monitoring, intelligent alarm/action, setting up of the optimized moving path, dynamic adjustment of strategies and policies. So it has the advantage to develop the application system which is aimed at optimization of the object tracking and movement.
