  • With the advent of Ubiquitous era, Korean government understood its strategic importance and formulated 'IT839 Strategies' with various action plans not to miss the great opportunities which it may allow and eventually to realize u-Korea. As a result, m-Commerce is actualized and new types of Ubiquitous services such as digital multimedia broadcasting(DMB) and wireless broadband Internet(WiBro) are now on their commercial stages. Digital contents are the key success factors of these new services. Digital contents industry is regarded as next generation of growth engine in the digital economy, because it is knowledge-based and high value-added global industry affecting positively on the whole private and public sectors. This paper reviewed the characteristics, business models, technical and market trend of digital contents to be compatible with Ubiquitous environment. Also, it reviewed the development strategies of DMB and WiBro services, which are newly introduced and commercialized in Korea to make it as world leader in these fields. It may be concluded that Korea should make more efforts to development market-oriented digital contents for Ubiquitous era and to realize the sustained economic growth.

  • Recently years There are numerous music contents on the internet and it can easily be used without any authority. because of this, casualties of music contents has been increased and music market has collapsed. Therefore Record Copyright Association protection law has revised and using music contents are being managed by copyright holders group from this year. It is one of ways to protect their contents copyright. So on this paper Internet Radio solution is provided to solve the problem between copyright holders and someone wants to use their contents and to make a part of new market on the music contents.

A Model on Enhancing Labor Market Flexibility (노동시장 유연성 제고 모형)

  • The purpose of this article is to show a model on enhancing labor market flexibility and to compare labor market flexibility, considering that the model on labor market flexibility, universally acceptable, are not found. The writer classified the scope of labor market flexibility into three parts such as indirect adjustment, direct adjustment and policy adjustment. The writer further classified the contents of labor market flexibility into eleven sub-parts. This kind of classification regarding labor market flexibility is unique and comprehensive. Based on this classification, the writer measured the degree of labor market flexibility of four countries such as USA, Japan, Germany, and Korea. According to the results, the ranks of labor market flexibility are USA, Japan, Korea, Germany.

  • This study tries to segment musical market to provide Korean musical marketers with marketing strategy implication. We focused university students who are known to form attractive market in the musical market through existing studies. For this research, we divided whole musical market using various variables such as musical audience' demographic, lifestyle and purchasing behavior variables. Using mixture model, we could divided as four significant segments : 'the type of musical mania', 'the type of musical preference', 'the type of musical medium' and the type of indifferent musical'. Each segment showed different musical purchase behaviors, lifestyle and demographical characteristics, also we suggested marketing strategy to each segment. Our research results can contribute to understand objectively musical market.

  • Purposes of this study are to find difference in efficiency, productivity change and determinants on efficiency of life insurance industry between pre and post-execution of capital market law on the basis of pre(2005-2008) and post-execution(2009-2012) data. Main results of this research are as follows. First, there was no significant difference of mean value for efficiency between pre and post execution of capital market law. Second, difference of mean value for malmquist index between pre and post execution of capital market law was statistically significant at 5% level. This imply increase in productivity for post-execution of capital market law. Third, one of the important determinant for efficiency was the weight of life planner in both pre and post-execution of capital market law. The weight of life planner had significant positive effect on efficiency.

  • Today's liquor culture in Korea is basically divided into a general liquor culture and a functional liquor culture. In particular, the market of the latter has been going through a rapid change. In the previous days, it was a crop for a special purpose or a fruit which was mostly used to make liquor but now, many other regular crops are being used in the liquor market. At present, while the demand for Makgeolli has risen sharply, the designs of Makgeolli bottles have never satisfied needs from consumers nor the trends in the consumer market. As a result, Makgeolli industry should come up with new designs for the bottles immediately if it dose not want to lose in a competition with other liquor products. The study has looked into existing designs of Makgeolli bottles, investigating how the designs have changed over the past years and how competitive they are in the market. Based on results from the investigation, the study focuses on finding out designs which would fit the trends in the consumer market to develop Makgolli bottles which would be equipped with both functionality and practicality. In other words, to make Makgeolli survive in these rapid changes in the liquor market, the study works on offering a Makgeolli bottle design which is appropriate for certain characteristics of Makeolli and also competitive over other liquor bottles.

  • As the numbers of Internet users and the growth of education market along with the generalization of distance study increase, e-Learning industry in China is growing rapidly more than 20% each year. However, domestic e-Learning industry for entry to the Chinese market is showing inadequate result even though its potential growth in China and their scale of industry is near about 3 trillion won. A type of this industry is combined with Information Technology (IT) and education industry and their complex factors need to be considered because of the country's education policy and ICT infrastructure. In addition to these factors, sometimes main agents can be the government or a private organization and they form different circumstances each other. Therefore, it is required to have an in-depth study of the entering the Chinese market based on an accurate analysis for Chinese education and culture. In this research, it will focus on the current state of e-Learning market in Korea and China after studying the e-Learning system through the existing reference research. Moreover, this research will propose a method of the entry for the Chinese e-Leaning market through a case study from domestic and foreign companies.

  • This paper uses a Mobilans case based on software system to derive the results of our study. Recently, the mobile phone payment entered its matured stage and became most frequently used payment method in all internet sites. And, in order to prepare for the future ubiquitous market, every mobile phone payment methods has different speed of development, market status and target segments in the market. This paper also discusses about the background and current status of Korean mobile phone payment market using SMS(Short Message Service) to purchase items on internet which is growing sharply every year. Also, we try find the key factors to succeed in this growing market. In addition to safety, delayed payment and the immediateness for use of mobile phone, we also suggest that a highly developed hardware system is an additional factor under the increased demands for the convenience with various applications.

  • The study investigates the stock market using emotion index calculated from SMD based on investors' emotion. In the VAR anlaysis, we find that the correlation between the KOSPI200 return and emotion score sum is highest in 2- or 3- day lag. This study concludes that explanatory power of the SMD emotion index is limited in explaining the Korean stock market yet.
