영양액재배 인삼근의 진세노사이드 조성에 미치는 N.P.K.의 영향 (Effect of Nitrogen Phosphorus and Potassium on Ginsenoside Composition of Panax Ginseng Root Grown with Nutrient Solution)

  • 버미큐라이트 폿드 시험으로 묘삼(苗蔘)의 양액재배(養液栽培)에서 N.P.K.의 수준(水準)을 달리하여 근중 ginsenoside의 함량변화(含量變化)를 조사(調査)하였다. 이들 중 어느 하나의 결제 또는 증가는 사포닌 함량(含量)의 증가 또는 감소를 보였다. 사포닌 함량에 영향을 가장 크게 주는 것은 질소이고(15.5%에서 8.9%) P.K.의 순(順)이었다. 각 ginsenoside 함량에서도 유사(類似)한 결과를 보였다. 양분환경변화에 의한 함량변이(含量變異)의 순위(順位)는 $Rd>Rb_1>Rg_1+Rf>Rc>Rg_2{\geqq}Rb_2>Re$로 Re가 가장 둔감하며 다른 요인에 관하여도 둔감할 것으로 보였다. Diol 총량이 triol 총량보다 민감하나 이들의 비(比)는 절반의 변이계수를 보였다. 영양조건에 의한 각(各) ginsenoside의 변이(變異)는 그 함량(含量)과는 무관(無關)하였다. Ginsenoside pattern의 유사도(類似度)는 총 사포닌 함량에 차이가 큰 처리간에서 낮아졌다. 뿌리의 생육(生育)은 수도수구(水道水區)에서만 유의성있게 적었다.

Information Dimensions in Library and Information Science Doctoral Mentoring: Qualitative Findings

  • Socialization of doctoral students refers to the process through which they acquire various types of information about their work, department, university, and discipline for their future careers. This study aims to investigate information behaviors, with emphasis on identifying types of information exchanged in mentoring between faculty advisors and their doctoral students in library and information science (LIS). As a first step to developing a content framework for LIS doctoral mentoring, the author interviewed ten LIS doctoral students from nine U.S. universities. Based on data from these interviews, the author identified sixteen types of information exchanged: language, history, coursework, research, skills, teaching, networking, structure, politics, goals, strategies, values, norms/tradition, rules/policies, benefits, and personal life. In comparison with a content framework used, four dimensions were newly added. In addition to the identification of content dimensions, the author observed four meaningful contextual levels to which the content types can be applied: work, department/school, university, and discipline. The qualitative data also showed that interpersonal factors of advisees/advisors and contextual factors might relate to information exchange in doctoral mentoring. In a following paper, the author will present the results of a follow-up survey that tests and generalizes the findings of this study.

Quality characteristics of retort samgyetang marinated with different levels of soy sauce and processed at different F0 values

  • The aim of this study was to develop retorted samgyetang marinated with different levels of soy sauce and processed at different F0 (thermal death time at 121℃) values. The tested marinade series comprised different percentages of soy sauce in water (0%, 25%, and 50% [w/w]) containing a fixed concentration of sodium tripolyphosphate (0.3% [w/w]). Following marination, samgyetang was prepared and subjected to retort processing, until an F0 value of either 8 or 29 was achieved. Meat quality analysis of the breast meat, sensory evaluation, and aroma analysis were performed as indicators of acceptability. The meat pH decreased as the soy sauce content increased, regardless of the F0 value. The shear force value significantly decreased as the concentration of soy sauce increased, but increased as the F0 value increased (p < 0.05). Lipid oxidation was not affected by marination, but increased significantly as the F0 value increased (p < 0.05). The proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids decreased significantly (p < 0.05) as the F0 value increased. The total alkane content decreased as the F0 value increased (p < 0.05). Changes in the total volatile sulfur compound and 2-butyl-1-octanol content were affected by soy sauce marination. Marination using 25% soy sauce and retort sterilization, until an F0 value of either 8 or 29 was achieved, improved the acceptability of samgyetang. Therefore, marination using 25% soy sauce and retort sterilization until an F0 value of 8 is the process recommended for developing a soy sauce-flavored, retorted samgyetang product of acceptable quality.

Effects of Nitrogen Level on Nitrogen Partitioning and Harvest Index in Brassica napus L.

  • To investigate the impact of nitrogen (N) mineral on reproductive potential of Brassica napus L, plants were treated with different levels of N treatment ($N_0$; $N_{100}$; $N_{500}$). The half of N content for each treatment were applied at the beginning of the early vegetative stage and the rest was applied at the late vegetative stage. Nitrogen content in plant tissues such as root, stem and branch, leaf, pod and seed was analyzed and harvest index (HI) was calculated as percentage of seed yield to total plant weight. Biomass and nitrogen content were significantly affected by different levels of N supply. Biomass was significantly decreased by 59.2% in nitrogen deficiency ($N_0$) but significantly increased by 50.3% in N excess ($N_{500}$), compared to control ($N_{100}$). Nitrogen content in all organs was remarkably increased with nitrogen levels. N distribution to stem and branches, and dead leaves was higher in N-deficient ($N_0$) and N excessive plants ($N_{500}$) than in control ($N_{100}$). However, nitrogen allocated to seed was higher in control ($N_{100}$) than in other treatments ($N_0$ or $N_{500}$), accompanied by higher HI. These results indicate that the optimum level of N supply ($N_{100}$) improve HI and N distribution to seed and excessive N input is unnecessary.

들깨종자의 압착착유에 미치는 온도와 수분함량의 상호작용 효과 (Interaction Effect of Temperature and Moisture Content on the Oil Expression of Perilla Seed)

  • 온도와 수분함량의 상호작용이 들깨종자의 압착착유에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 생들깨와 볶은들깨의 기름 추출율(REO) 및 압착케이의 부피변형율(VSPC)을 온도와 수분함량을 변화시켜가며 측정하였다. 본 실험을 위해 들깨종자의 수분함량을 2.5, 4.5, 6.5 및 8.5% (w.b.), 압착온도를 30, 40, 50 및 $60^{\circ}C$, 압착시간을 11분 그리고 압착압력을 50 MPa로 각각 조절하였다. 생들깨 및 볶은들깨의 REO 및 VSPC는 온가 낮을 때에는 수분함량이 높을수록 크게 나타났으나, 온도가 높을 때에는 수분함량이 낮을수록 크게 나타났다. 그러나 수분함량 8.5%에서는 온도에 관계없이 작았다. 압착요인과 REO 및 VSPC과의 관계를 분산분석한 결과 온도와 수분함량의 영향은 높은 유의성을 보여주었다. 또한 온도보다는 온도와 수분함량사이의 상호작용효과가 더 큰것으로 나타났다. 온도와 수분함량 사이의 상호작용이 가장 크게 나타난 구간은 본 실험조건의 모든 온도에서 수부함량 $2.5{\sim}4.5%$이었다. 최대 REO는 생들깨의 경우 수분함량 2.5%와 $60^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 84.4%이었고, 볶은들깨는 수분함량 6.5%와 $30^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 84.3% 이었다.

  • Effect of initial PH on the lipid accumulation and fatty acid composition of some species of mold were investigated. The maximum lipid content content produced by Aspergillus niger var. macrosporus was 17.5% at PH 3.5, by Aspergillus fumigatus 23.5% at PH 3.5 by Penicillium spinulosum 12.0% at PH 4.0 and by Penicillium notatum 7.3% at PH 4.0. The major fatty acids were palmitic, stearic, oleic and linoleic acid in all experimental molds. At PH from 4.5 to 6.0, the proportion of linoleic acid was increased and those of palmitic and oleic acid were decreased with rising in PH, therefore, degree of lipid unsaturation was increased in all experimental molds.

벤조산 락톤 변성폴리에스테르/HDI-Biuret에 의한 2액형 폴리우레탄 도료의 제조 및 경화거동 (Preparation and Curing Behavior of Two-Packaged Polyurethane Coatings by Benzoic Acid Lactone Modified Polyester/HDI-Biuret)

  • Two-packaged polyurethane coatings were prepared by blending benzoic acid lactone modified polyester polyol(BLMPs) and HDI-biuret. BLMPs were synthesized by polycondensation of benzoic acid, viscosity depression component, with 1,4-butanediol, adipic acid, and polycaprolactone polyol. Kinematic viscosity of BLMP was gradually decreased with increasing benzoic acid content in BLMP. The low viscosity of modified polyester has an advantage of making a high-solid content coatings. After the film was coated with the prepared polyurethane coatings and cured at room temperature, the various physical properties were measured. They showed good physical properties such as flexibility, impact resistance, cross hatch adhesion, yellowness index, and rust resistance. These advantages are the results of introducing polycaprolactone polyol.

어류비늘에서 추출한 콜라겐펩타이드의 제조 및 유효성 분석 (Preparation and Availability Analysis of Collagen Peptides Obtained in Fish Scale)

  • This study is manufacturing method and analysis of feasibility about collagen peptide from fish scale. This is processed by enzyme hydrolysis, isolating and refining etc. The results of analysis of nutritional composition showed protein content of collagen peptide. In the analysis of constitutive amino acids, the ratio of contents of hydroxyproline and glycine, the characteristics of collagen peptides appeared similar and the contents of glutamic acid and aspartic acid which are involved in protein metabolism. As a result of measurement of total polyphenol content and total flavonoid, it showed that collagen peptide had more contents generally, and the effect of bioactivity of pig-skin collagen peptide appeared higher although different kinds of scale collagen peptide showed a little DPPH radical scavenging ability, total antioxidant capacity by ABTS, ACE inhibitory.

저근백피 에탄올 추출물의 혈당강하 작용에 대한 연구 (Antidiabetic Study of ethanol extract on Ailanthi cortex radici)

  • This study was performed to investigate the antidiabetic study effect in ethanol extract of Ailanthicortex(A.C) radici in Streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Diabetes was induced by intravenous injection of STZ at a dose of 45mg/kg dissolved in citrate buffer. The ethanol extract of A.C radici was orally administrated once a day for 7 days at a dose of 500mg/kg. The content of serum glucose, triglyceride(T.G), total cholesterol were significantly decreased in treated group compared to the those of STZ-control group. The content of hepatic glycogen and activity of glucokinase(GK) were significantly increased in treated group compared to the those of STZ-control group. but activity of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G-6-PDH) was significantly increased. These results indicated that ethanol extract of A.C would have antidiabetic effect in STZ-induced diabetic rats.

안료분산 및 희석용 실리콘/아크릴수지의 배합비에 따른 고내후성 물성비교 (Weatherability Comparison with Changing Mixing Ratios of Mill-Base and Let-Down Silicone/Acrylic Resins)

  • Three different weather-resistant coatings were fabricated with the various weight ratios of a mill-base silicone/acrylic resin to let-down silicone /acrylic resin at 2:8, 3:7, and 4:6 respectively. The prepared coatings were tested to investigate the effect of composition of weather-resistant coatings on the physical properties. The thermal stability, salt spray exposure, and weather-resistance were improved with the increased silicone content. It was concluded that the optimum retio of mill-base silicone/acrylic resin to let-down silicone/acrylic resin would be 2:8 and the coating with 30 wt% of silicone content would have high weather-resistance.
