The purpose of this study is to recover historically disconnected regionality and to propose the meaning of regionality in the contemporary architecture. Plus, it is to analyze the expression elements of the regionality and to propose the regionality's sustainable value shown in the contemporary architecture. Range of research methods is as follows. First, it reviews and prospects for Research on the meaning of regionality. Second, it looks at the three different points of view; traditional, Regional, and cultural perspective on Regionality. Also, it extracts the elements of the expression, centered on regionalism projects shown in the modern architecture. Third, it studys the sustainability's meaning and the sustainable value appeared in the contemporary architecture. Fourth, it analysis case studies and the value regarding the application of critical regionalism, focusing on the work of Alvar Aalto architecture. In addition, it proposes the sustainable value regarding the expression centered on regionalism projects This study appears to present the meaning of regionality in the contemporary architecture, in order to recover historically disconnected regionality. In particular, the expression of regionality shown in the Alvar Aalto's architecture is made on the basis of local traditions, society and culture. And, Building forms and building materials to adapt to climate was provided as a unified relationship. This study looks forward to help seeking the various proposals and guide for the applicability and the sustainabe development of the regionality in the contemporary architecture.

본 연구는 강원도 산간지역의 자연환경 특성을 반영한 현대 한옥을 개발하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 강원도 산간지역 주택의 전통을 바탕으로 이 지역의 기후를 중심으로 한 자연환경 특성에 적응할 수 있는 친환경적인 현대한옥을 제시하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 제시한 강원도 산간형 현대한옥은 우리나라 전통한옥의 외관을 최대한 유지하면서 전통한옥이 지닌 자연환경조절체계를 최대한 지닐 수 있도록 계획하였다. 여러 가지 한계를 지니고 있지만 본 연구는 본 연구는 우리나라에도 지역에 따른 자연환경의 차이가 있음을 인식하고 강원도 산간지역의 자연환경 특성과 지역적 전통에 부합하는 현대 한옥을 개발하고자 하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다고 생각한다. 본 연구의 계획안이 한옥의 보급 및 현대한옥의 개발 방향 설정에 도움을 줄 수 있기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the expressional traits and meanings of body images in contemporary fashion illustration, based on postmodern body theories and body images in postmodern art. For achieving the purpose, this study performed related research works and undertook a demonstrative analysis of fashion illustrations. The results are as follows : The postmodern body theories not only opposed, deconstructed the traditional concepts and norms of body, but also revealed the suppressed facts of it. Also they composed the new concepts of body. The expressional traits of body images in postmodern art and contemporary fashion illustration were categorized as realistically presented body, distorted/deformed body, fragmented body, abject body, post-gendered body and absent body. Through these traits, the meanings of defiance to authority, revelation of reality, new creation were expressed. In conclusion, the various body images in contemporary fashion illustration reflect open concepts for human beings and give new aesthetic experiences.

This article aimed at understanding the characteristics of Swedish furniture design since 1980s in the reference to the major paradigm changes in the contemporary design field. For this, the authors examined the theoretical background of modern and post-modern design paradigms to identify today's design tendencies. And we used this frame in the analysis of the latest examples of Swedish furniture design. The main characteristics of Swedish furniture design since 1980s included 'furniture as art object', 'the succession of the Swedish Modern (neo-modernism)', and 'conscious design for sustainable development'. These could be viewed as the consequences of the choices that the Swedish furniture industry and designers made during the last decade, that was to take plurality and contradiction as the accompanying values of the traditional Swedish modern design.

This study explored the background of contemporary furniture design called New Design furniture, which newly expresses the aesthetics of communication in the postmodern era. Qualitative conceptual analysis as the principle methodology was used to explore the background of the decorative and meaningful contemporary furniture in postmodernism. Thereby, the postmodern concepts of Charles Jencks, Robert Venturi, and Michael Graves were analyzed in terms of their postmodern architecture and furniture. As initiatives of postmodern architecture and furniture, Jencks, Venturi, and Graves explored the pluralism and eclecticism, the decoration, the semantics, and the materials reestablished from the traditions of craft. As a result, their furniture was expressed by various wood and color; the furniture was beautiful, decorative, pluralistic, and eclectic for communicating symbol, metaphor, narrative, and/or humor with people; the furniture has influenced the communicative elements on the contemporary furniture design called New Design furniture design, which shows the blurring of fine arts and craft distinctions.

Water allows us to have artistic experiences of searching for the source of hints and techniques by bring about the emergence of the new representation new themes and new forms of arts. The water that holds a great deal of hidden meaning shape the image. This study attempted to investigate what mental relationship the concept of water had the mental phenomenon of water in hea-sang-kun-sun-do in terms of the event of contemporary fashion in the present-day age. This means the stream of thought to grope a new paradign of multi-cultruism that claims the coexistence of East and West civilizations in the contemporary civilization. The meaning of water is developed fabrics connected with the water and the water emerge the issue in contemporary fashion. And the concept of water as the meaning concept is used as the tool to represent a certain issue in silhouette and fabrics not only the introduction as substantial water into fashion giving the fashion designer's emotion to shape and representing the fashion designer's aesthetic needs by emphasizing with the designer.

이 글은 근현대기록물을 수집하고 있는 기관들을 대상으로 수집된 기록물의 유형을 살펴보고 기록관의 역할과 범위, 그리고 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 살펴보고자 쓰였다. 수집된 기록물을 대상으로 근현대기록물의 범위를 지정하고 기록관의 역할을 살펴봄으로써 기록물의 수집과 보존에 대한 균형을 이룰 수 있는 방법에 대해 고민하고 전문적인 역량을 키울수 있는 방안에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

Within globalization of fashion business Korean culture is affecting fashion business. Although Korean culture is creating new content and economic value presently, the research on Korean fashion culture has been limited. Therefore, this study has identified attributes influencing cognitive, affective response as well as consumer preference and purchase towards contemporary Korean culture clothing. This study aims to do the following: (1) examine the effect of the identified contemporary cultural apparel product attributes on cognitive, affective response (2) Analyze the effect of cognitive, affective response on preference and purchase intention (3) Determine the relationship between preference and purchase intention. This study result defines the importance of studying contemporary cultural apparel product attributes for better fashion marketing business in the fashion and cultural field to attract consumers.

In contemporary fashion metal have used which is as the material with a sufficient potentiality of expression which is displayed by an unique characteristic involved only in metal. In this paper metal expressed in contemporary fashion is researched. The first thing the formative characteristic of metal is researched under the consideration of type technique and color of metal used in contemporary fashion. Metals such as gold silver bronze aluminum thin lead and iron are usually used in fashion and those metals are used in various types such a thread fabric board leaf a and cable. Those types of metal as above are applied to the clothing by the techniques of weaving embroidering metal leaf printing or moulding which gives the formative characteristic to the clothing. In color metal has an effect on the colors of surroundings by its smooth and unique luster and its effect of reflection and produces the visual formative characteristic through the effects of contrast. The esthetic will of metal expressed in modern fashion is researched in this study under the facts studied as above. first metal expresses the future oriented esthetic Second metal has the characteristic of attracting the attention Third metal is used as valid techniques to express the artistic formation for clothing escaping from the idea that the clothing is only for wearing. Finally metal is used as an anti-cultural tool of fighting against the existing order or spirit.
