컨테이너터미널 운영을 위한 의사결정문제의 소개 (Decision-making Problems for the Operation of Container Terminals)

  • This paper introduces several decision-making problems that need to be solved in order to facilitate the efficient operation of container terminals. These decision-making problems include the berth planning problem, the quay crane scheduling problem, the unload/load sequencing problem, the yard allocation problem, and the short-term scheduling of transporters and yard cranes. These problems can be classified into strategic decision problems, tactical decision problems, and real time operational decision problems. This paper proposes definitions of the problems that can be used to develop mathematical models for the problems.

  • This paper deals with the case study that determine the best equipment scale to be satisfied a handing capacity of the container terminal using computer simulation techniques. The objective of this study is to suggest an operation alternative of equipment scale including container canes, transfer cranes, and yard tractors which reflects a container throughput. For the simulation, the object-oriented simulator with the special purpose of container terminal analysis is used. And the used simulator was developed to simulate the transfer crane based container terminal for yard equipment. Using the simulator, we test an existing port container terminal, PECT(Pusan East Container Terminal).

  • The remote operation of $4\~5$ cranes for container loading/unloading at a port by one operator will dramatically improve loading/unloading efficiency through productivity increase, cost reduction, and so on. This study develops a remote crane control system for container loading/unloading yard cranes. First, a wireless video and audio system to transmit views and sounds of the working field is designed by using 3 web cameras and a microphone. Next, a RSVP-based multi-path reservation method is presented with a view to improving the quality of service in the communication network for remote control. Simulation results show that a RSVP-based multi-path reservation can enhance the reservation success rate in the TCP/IP network.

CO., LTD., have specialized in engineering and manufacturing of electric motor speed control systems for a wide variety of applications i.e. dock side cranes, container cranes etc. Having concentrated on the development of new technology, we have succeeded in localization developing a Magnetic Coupling Type Cable Reel, whereas Korean companies depended on foreign countries for the supply of them.

  • 대규모 컨테이너항만의 건설과 함께 컨테이너 크레인의 생산성 향상으로 선박 체항시간을 단축시켜 항만의 서비스 수준을 높이려는 노력이 가속화되고 있다. 컨테이너 크레인 시스템에 가해지는 입력에 대하여 바람직한 성능을 보이도록 설계사양을 고려한 상태 퍼드백 제어시스템을 사용한다. 컨테이너 크레인에서 측정이 까다롭거나 측정 잡음이 클 것으로 예상되는 상태 변수를 추정하는 방법으로 상태 관측기를 설계하고자 한다. 기존의 연구에서는 상태 피드백 제어시스템의 피드백 이득행렬과 상태 관측기 이득행렬을 분리하여 구하였다. 그러나 본 연구에서는 피드백 이득행렬과 상태 관측기 이득행렬을 선정함에 있어 최근 강인한 탐색법으로 많이 사용되는 REGAs를 사용해 설계사양을 만족하도록 동시에 구하고자 한다.

  • The most important thing in the container terminal is to handle the cargo effectively in a limited time. To achieve this objective, many strategies have been introduced and applied. If we consider the automated container terminal, it is necessary that the cargo handling equipment is equipped with more intelligent control systems. From the middle of the 1990s, an automated rail-mounted gantry crane (RMGC) and rubber-tired gantry crane (RTG) have been developed and widely used to handle containers in the yards. Recently, in these cranes, equipment like CCD cameras and sensors have been mounted to cope with the automated terminal environment. In this paper, we try to support the development of more intelligent automated cranes that make the cargo handling be performed effectively in the yards. For this plant, we ought to consider modeling, tracking control, anti-sway system design, skew motion suppressionand complicated motion control and suppressing problems. In this paper, the system modeling and a tracking control approach are discussed, based on a two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) servo-system design. From the simulation results, the good control performance of the designed control system is evaluated.

And, we design the tracking control system incorporating an observer based on the 2DOF servosystem design approach to obtain the informations of the states. The experiment results show the usefulness of the designed control system.

컨테이너 터미널의 자원 부하를 고려한 최적 장치계획 모형 (Yard Planning Considering the Load Profile of Resources in Container Terminals)

  • The main activities of container terminals are to load container freights to vessels, discharge them from vessels, and store them in the storage yard. Container terminals make many operational plans to execute these functions effectively. If the plans do not consider enough the loads of related resources, they may have low actualities. This study discusses the optimal yard planning model which considers various resources, such as the storage yard, yard cranes, internal vehicles, and travel lanes, in container terminals. The model determines the groups and amounts of containers which are stored in each storage block by using the resource profile. The yard planning problem is represented to the multi-commodity minimal cost flow problem and is formulated to the linear programming model. In order to explain the application of the mathematical model, the numerical examples are presented. Additionally, the relationship between the average load ratio and the relocation ratio is discussed.
