The Development of an Electroconductive SiC-ZrB2 Composite through Spark Plasma Sintering under Argon Atmosphere

  • The SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites were fabricated by combining 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 vol. % of zirconium diboride ($ZrB_2$) powders with silicon carbide (SiC) matrix. The SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites and the sintered compacts were produced through spark plasma sintering (SPS) under argon atmosphere, and its physical, electrical, and mechanical properties were examined. Also, the thermal image analysis of the SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites was examined. Reactions between $\beta$-SiC and $ZrB_2$ were not observed via x-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The apparent porosity of the SiC+30vol.%$ZrB_2$, SiC+35vol.%$ZrB_2$, SiC+40vol.%$ZrB_2$, SiC+45vol.%$ZrB_2$ and SiC+50vol.%$ZrB_2$ composites were 7.2546, 0.8920, 0.6038, 1.0981, and 10.0108%, respectively. The XRD phase analysis of the sintered compacts demonstrated a high phase of SiC and $ZrB_2$. Among the $SiC+ZrB_2$ composites, the SiC+50vol.%$ZrB_2$ composite had the lowest flexural strength, 290.54MPa, the other composites had more than 980MPa flexural strength except the SiC+30vol.%$ZrB_2$ composite; the SiC+40vol.%$ZrB_2$ composite had the highest flexural strength, 1011.34MPa, at room temperature. The electrical properties of the SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites had positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR). The V-I characteristics of the SiC-$ZrB_2$ composites had a linear shape in the temperature range from room to $500^{\circ}C$. The electrical resistivities of the SiC+30vol.%$ZrB_2$, SiC+35vol.%$ZrB_2$, SiC+40vol.%$ZrB_2$ SiC+45vol.%$ZrB_2$ and SiC+50vol.%$ZrB_2$ composites were $4.573\times10^{-3}$, $1.554\times10^{-3}$, $9.365\times10^{-4}$, $6.999\times10^{-4}$, and $6.069\times10^{-4}\Omega{\cdot}cm$, respectively, at room temperature, and their resistance temperature coefficients were $1.896\times10^{-3}$, $3.064\times10^{-3}$, $3.169\times10^{-3}$, $3.097\times10^{-3}$, and $3.418\times10^{-3}/^{\circ}C$ in the temperature range from room to $500^{\circ}C$, respectively. Therefore, it is considered that among the sintered compacts the SiC+35vol.%$ZrB_2$, SiC+40vol.%$ZrB_2$ and SiC+45vol.%$ZrB_2$ composites containing the most outstanding mechanical properties as well as PTCR and V-I characteristics can be used as an energy friendly ceramic heater or ohmic-contact electrode material through SPS.

환경 인자에 따른 FRP의 표면화특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Surface Degradation Properties of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics by Environmental Factors)

  • In order to analysis the degradation process of epoxy/glass fiber for outdoor condition, FRP laminate was exposed to high temperature and water. Then the degradation process was evaluated by comparing contact angle, surface potential decay, and surface resistivity. For the change of wettability, the contact angle of thermal-treated specimen with the high temperature of $200^{\circ}C$ increased. But that of water-treated specimen decreased. The characteristic of surface potential decay shows the tendency of the remarkable decrease on water-treated specimens, but no difference on thermal-treated specimen compared with untreated one. Also, for the surface resistivity, it shows the same trend compared with the change of contact angle.

  • The online retail market continues to grow, especially in China, as e-commerce has developed rapidly in recent years in many countries. Meanwhile, the development and use of new network information technology provides consumers with various contact and experience environments for online shopping. Based on the theory of media weakness, the study began to focus consumer experience on the nature of commercial transactions. The study proposed and designed an initial measure of the consumer information evaluation index, which combines previous findings with implications. Finally, the five-dimensional B2C system was established to evaluate consumers' information experience providing information display, information interaction, information support and information personalization. We researched on evaluation index system for information experience of B2C e-commerce consumers based on samples of Chinese consumers.

교합접촉 형태에 따른 교근활성의 평가 (Evaluation of Masseter Muscle Activity by Occlusal tooth Contact Patterns)

  • There are have been reports that the distribution of electromyographical(EMG) activity is determined in a predictable manner by both the location and number of occlusal contacts. However, these reports placed an emphasis on whole dentition. Inclined plane contacts in the frontal plane are classified as A-, B- or C-types. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relation between occlusal tooth contact patterns and EMG activity of masseter muscle during maximum voluntary clenching. Methods: Fifteen healthy human subjects(Mean age; 25.3 years) volunteered to participate in this study. Acrylic resin overlays were fabricated for upper 2nd premolars and 1st molars bilaterally, and offered 3 types(A-, B- and AB- type contact). EMG activity of the masseter muscles was recorded bilaterally during maximum voluntary clenching. Statistical analysis was performed using the one-way ANOVA. Results: The group with a A-type contact showed a statistically lower EMG activity of masseter muscle than that of natural group(p<0.05) and that of B- and AB- type groups(p<0.01) on both upper 2nd premolars and upper 1st molars. Conclusions: These results suggest that occlusal tooth contact patterns have an influence on EMG activity of masseter muscle during maximum voluntary clenching.

  • This research is to develop a seismic response analysis method for a spent fuel storage cask. FEM model is built for the test model of 1/8 scale spent fuel dry storage cask using available 3D contact conditions in ABAQUS/Explicit. Input load for this analysis os a seismic wave of El-centro earthquake, and the friction and damping coefficients in the analysis condition we obtained from the test result. Penalty and kinematic contact methods of ABAQUS are used for mechanical contact formulation. The analysis method was verified for rocking angle obtained by seismic response tests. The kinematic contact method with an adequate normal contact stiffness showed a good agreement with tests.

TiB2코팅이 함침법으로 제조되는 B4C/Al 복합체의 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of TiB2 Coating on the Mechanical Properties of B4C/Al Composites Prepared by Infiltration Process)

  • B$_4$C/Al 복합체의 기계적 물성은 제조 과정에서 B$_4$C와 Al의 반응에 의한 반응생성물의 종류와 양에 의해서 결정되므로, 강하고 경량 소재로서의 특성이 요구되는 복합체를 만들려면 반응생성물을 조절할 필요가 있다. TiB$_2$는 알루미늄과 반응성이 거의 없고 B$_4$C보다 낮은 접촉각(100$0^{\circ}C$에서 85$^{\circ}$)을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 B$_4$C를 TiB$_2$로 코팅하면 B$_4$C/Al복합체를 함침법으로 제조하는 경우 알루미늄의 함침 온도를 낮출 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 TiB$_2$가 B$_4$C/Al 복합체의 미세구조와 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. TiB$_2$를 코팅한 B$_4$C 분말을 졸겔법을 이용하여 준비하였다. B$_4$C 입자에 코팅된 TiB$_2$ 입자 크기는 20-50 nm이었다. TiB$_2$를 코팅하고 제작한 B$_4$C/Al 복합체에는 l7wt%의 미반응 알루미늄이 남아있었고, 코팅하지 않고 제작한 것에는 l4 wt%가 남았다. 결과적으로 코팅하고 제작한 복합체는 코팅하지 않고 제작한 것보다 파괴인성은 높고 경도는 낮았으며, 이러한 결과에서 TiB$_2$가 알루미늄의 함침 온도를 낮추고 B$_4$C와 Al이 반응하는 것을 억제하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

MoSe2가 Cu(In,Ga)Se2 박막 태양전지 모듈의 ZnO/Mo 접합의 접촉 저항에 미치는 영향 (Effect of MoSe2 on Contact Resistance of ZnO/Mo Junction in Cu(In,Ga)Se2 Thin Film Solar Module)

  • In this paper, the effect of MoSe2 on the contact resistance (RC) of the transparent conducting oxide (TCO) and Mo junction in the scribed P2 region of the Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar module was analyzed. The CIGS/Mo junction becomes ohmic-contact by MoSe2, so the formation of the MoSe2 layer is essential. However, the CIGS solar module has a TCO/MoSe2/Mo junction in the P2 region due to structural differences from the cell. The contact resistance (RC) of the P2 region was calculated using the transmission line method, and MoSe2 was confirmed to increase RC of the TCO/Mo junction. B doped ZnO (BZO) was used as TCO, and when BZO/MoSe2 junction was formed, conduction band offset (CBO) of 0.6 eV was generated due to the difference in their electron affinities. It is expected that this CBO acts as a carrier transport barrier that disturbs the flow of current, resulting in increased RC. In order to reduce the RC caused by CBO, MoSe2 must be made thin in a CIGS solar module.

초고압 옥외용 실리콘 고무의 발수성 및 트래킹 특성 (Hydrophobicity and tracking resistance of SIR for outdoor Insulators)

  • The paper reports on a study of the influence of the silicone oils on the tracking and erosion resistance and hydrophobicity of SIR. Two silicone oils(A, B) having different chemical structure were selected in consideration of goof hydrophobicity and processability. Tracking and erosion resistance of SIR was investigated by the rotating wheel dip test (RWDT). In this test tracking and erosion areas due to glow and partial arc discharges cause an increase in the leakage current with an increase in time. Leakage current of SIR was decreased with increasing ratio of oil A/B. SIR was exposed to corona discharges in air and the specimens were analyzed with contact angle. It was observed that the contact angle of SIR was increased gradually in time. The recovery of hydrophobicity was increased with increasing ratio of oil A/B.

황금(黃芩) 추출물(抽出物)이 DNCB로 유발(誘發)된 생쥐의 Allergy성(性) 접촉피부염(接觸皮膚炎)에 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effects of Scutellaria baicalensis GEORGI on Allergic contact dermatitis induced by DNCB in Mice)

  • 본 실험은 황금이 Allergy성(性) 접촉피부염의 면역과민반응 및 염증반응에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해서 시행되었다. 실험을 위해 BALB/C계 생쥐를 DNCB 처리군과 DNCB 처리 후 황금추출액을 경구 투여한 황금추출물투여군(HGET군)으로 나누어 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene(DNCB)를 도포하여 Allergy성(性) 접촉피부염을 유발한 뒤, 시간의 경과에 따라 contact hypersensitivity assay, 피부의 일반적인 구조, 혈관생성, 림프구를 비롯한 염증세포, sulfated acid mucosubstance, 비만세포, IL-2 R, ICAM-1 그리고 CD11b의 변화를 관찰하였다. Contact hypersensitivity assay에서 HEGT군은 DNCB처리군에 비해 유의성(有意性)있는 ear swellig의 감소를 보였다. 피부표피의 변화에서 HEGT군에서 DNCB처리군에 비해 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 혈관생성, 림프구의 침투 및 표피 기저층과 가시층 세포의 손상은 HEGT군에서 DNCB처리군에 비해 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 혈관생성, 림프구를 비롯한 염증세포, sulfated acid mucosubstance와 비만세포, IL-2 R 양성반응세포, ICAM-1 양성반응세포 그리고 CD11b 양성반응은 Allergy성(性) 접촉피부염의 면역과민반응억제와 항염증작용에 효과가 있는 것으로 사료된다.
