This study was carried out to identify the relationship of biochemical bone turnover markers, bone mineral density (BMD), and general characteristics in Korean women. One hundred eighty healthy women, 20 to 50 years of age, living in Gwangju and Chonnam participated. Serum bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BAP) and osteocalcin (OC) were used as bone formation markers and N-telopeptide of type 1 collagen (NTx) was used as a bone resorption maker to evaluate the state of bone turnover. T-scores were measured to evaluate BMD. We analyzed general characteristics, including age, menopause status, osteoporosis history, alcohol consumption, physical activity level, and degree of obesity (BMI, percent of fat). The BAP level significantly decreased in the group of twenty-year olds and increased in the non-alcohol consuming group, the group with a family history of osteoporosis, the menopause group, and the obese group (p<0.05). The OC level was lower in the group of twenty-year olds and increased in the non-alcohol intake group and the menopause group (p<0.05). BMD significantly decreased in the obese group (p<0.05). In conclusion, BAP and OC were affected by age, alcohol consumption, osteoporosis history, menopause status, and obesity. BMD was affected by obesity degree. These results suggest that the management of alcohol consumption and obesity are important for maintaining bone status during aging in Korean women.
Background: Gall bladder cancer (GBC) is highly fatal disease with poor prognosis, with a 5 year survival rate of <10%. It is relatively rare cancer worldwide; however it is the sixth cancer and second most common gastrointestinal tract cancer in Nepalese women. The study focused on associations of certain demographic, lifestyle, dietary, and reproductive factors with gall bladder cancer. Materials and Methods: We conducted a hospital-based matched case control study on newly diagnosed cases of primary GBC at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital. Controls were healthy non-GBC relatives of cancer patients, matched for age, sex and marital status (in case of females) with cases at a ratio of 1:2. Data were collected between April 2012-April 2013 by semi structured interview from both cases and controls. Analyses were carried out with SPSS. Conditional logistic regression was used to find odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for bivariate and multivariate analysis. Results: A total of 50 cases and 100 controls were enrolled in this study. On bivariate analysis, factors found to be significantly associated with gallbladder cancer were illiteracy (OR=3.29, CI=1.06-10.2), history of gallstone disease (OR=27.6, CI=6.57, 115.6), current smoker (OR=2.42, CI=1.005-5.86), early menarche <13 years (OR=2.64, CI=1.09-6.44), high parity more than 3 (OR=3.12, CI=1.25,7.72), and use of mustard oil (OR=3.63, CI=1.40, 9.40). A significant protective effect was seen with high consumption of fruits at least once a week (OR=0.101, CI=0.03-0.35). On multivariate analysis, history of gallstone disease, early menarche, current smoker and high consumption of fruits persisted as significant factors. Conclusions: History of gallstone disease, cigarette smoking and early menarche were associated with increased risk of gallbladder cancer while high consumption of fruits was found to have a protective effect.
Lamb has long been considered a traditional meal within Australia; however as consumer preferences have changed since the 1950's, consumption of lamb has decreased from the 1980's. This is the result of changing societal roles, particularly for females, decreasing household sizes and increasing awareness of the impact of food choices on human health. Since the 1980's improvement of farm practices and increases in genetic gains has addressed part of this decline by increasing the amount of lean meat and decreasing fat in lamb retail cuts. Yet, this has created a challenge for the industry to utilise the larger carcases now being produced. Thus, a whole value chain approach to increasing consumption has been undertaken through several research programs to create cuts which suit the modern consumer, examine nutritional and eating quality and increase adoption of value added cuts. Therefore, this paper outlines this history of changing consumer patterns and the consequent research to address these changes.

As fashion magazines are important socialization influences, our purpose was to examine the content of articles in two teen magazines: one with a long publication history (Seventeen) and one relatively new market entry (Teen Vogue). We addressed the following questions: (1) What are the patterns of content of the feature articles? (2) How frequently is this content related to appearance management or fashion consumption? and (3) What, if any, differences exist in contents between the traditional teen magazine and the new market entry? A content analysis of 1,191 articles published during 2008 and 2009 revealed the largest percentage of content in both magazines was fashion. Other than the topic of fashion, Seventeen concentrated on teen life issues whereas Teen Vogue focused on celebrities. Understanding these are fashion publications, we suggest there are opportunities for both magazines to allocate further attention to other issues in the lives of teens in addition to beauty and consumption.

Four dimensional(4-D) trajectory modeling is conducted based on flight plan. The flight plan is divided into several segments which represent certain operating flight modes. Thrust, drag and fuel consumption rate of an aircraft are calculated using BADA provided by Eurocontrol. The trajectory is modeled with the rate of climb/descent calculated with Total-Energy Equation. The simulation results with a typical aircraft and its flight plan indicate that the trajectory modeled corresponds well with the suggested flight plan. The performance profiles including total endurance time and time history for speed, thrust, drag and fuel consumption were also appropriately generated.
Silica fume is a by-product of induction arc furnaces and has long been used as a mineral admixture to produce high-strength, high-performance concrete. Due to the pozzolanic reaction between calcium hydroxide and silica fume, compared with that of Portland cement, the hydration of concrete containing silica fume is much more complex. In this paper, by considering the production of calcium hydroxide in cement hydration and its consumption in the pozzolanic reaction, a numerical model is proposed to simulate the hydration of concrete containing silica fume. The heat evolution rate of silica fume concrete is determined from the contribution of cement hydration and the pozzolanic reaction. Furthermore, the temperature distribution and temperature history in hardening blended concrete are evaluated based on the degree of hydration of the cement and the mineral admixtures. The proposed model is verified through experimental data on concrete with different water-to-cement ratios and mineral admixture substitution ratios.
This study aims to find methodical similarities between pop art and Robert Venturi's works. Pop art and Robert Venturi's works gave attention to periodical changes and wanted to communicate with the public. This study approaches a topic from psychological viewpoints, especially visual dissonance. The results are as follows: 1. Manufactured Products ; Commercial Ornaments ${\rightarrow}$ Character Changes in Experienced Stimulation 2. Daily Elements ; Traditional Elements(Classic) ${\rightarrow}$ Contextual Effect of Canonic Representation In these cases, visual dissonance attracted a lot of public attention, and people would develop new meanings of objet. Pop art and Robert Venturi's works indicated value change in post-industrial society, therefore, this study can help to understand the correlation.

In the present study, Bauschinger effect was investigated for the micro-alloying forging steel which has been developed for about 30 years ago to save energy consumption by eliminating the heat treatment processes in the forging industry. The micro-alloying steels used fur cold forging industry mainly aim to replace the usual carbon steel. With the conventional carbon steels, all the deformation history can be eliminated after the final heat treatment(quenching and tempering). In the case of micro-alloying forging steels, however, the prior deformation history should be taken into consideration to meet the mechanical property requirement since the microstructure of micro-alloying steels might exhibit the Bauschinger effect, which was not needed to consider in the case of conventional carbon steel having quenching and tempering treatment. In the present study, the reverse loading tests were carried out to determine the Bauschinger effect of micro-alloying steel which composed of ferrite and cementite phases.
During the Japanese colonial period, Japanese brewing companies established 2 breweries in Korea, and brought in malting barley seeds, began trial cultivation in near Daejeon area and Jeju Island, and cultivated hops in Hyesan, Hamgyeong-do. In 1933, Chosun Brewery Co. Ltd. and Showa-Kirin Brewery Co. were established in Yeongdeungpo by Japan and these 2 breweries became the birthplace of today's Hite Brewery and Oriental Brewery. Oriental Brewery tried to cultivate hops and malting barley in Korea, and once self-sufficient but now hops depend on imports, and production of domestic malting barley is about 5% of demand. Beer was only about 5% of domestic alcohol consumption in the early 1970s, but now occupies more than 50% and became the most popular alcoholic drink in Korea. Recently various beers are imported from the world, and many craft breweries serving variety of beers to consumers, thus Korean enjoy heyday of the beer culture.

The purpose of this research is to organize panels centered on professional workers and experts in the sports media industry, identify structures and items of sports media commentators' attributes that conform to the present era through the collective agreement process, and evaluate the derived measures according to the scale development procedure. We would like to shed new light on the nature of commentators due to the rapid development of broadcasting technology and the emergence of new media platforms, the emergence and expansion of smart media receptors and the changing environment of modern sports broadcasting. For this purpose, a panel of experts from academia and industry related to sports management and sports media was organized and the attributes of commentators were analyzed using the Delphi method. Technology development in the sports market has created a new sports consumption environment. In these consumer environments, various environmental factors influence the consumer's consumption culture of sports consumers. For example, professional information, as well as interpretations of sports culture, history and society are becoming their share for sports commentators, and viewers are demanding more diverse characteristics from sports commentators. In this respect, the study of sports commentator attributes can be a deep understanding of the rapidly changing culture of sports consumption.
