펫푸드(반려동물 식품) 선택속성에 대한 소비자 특성 분석 (Consumer Characteristics in Terms of Pet Food Selection Attributes)

  • This study aims to examine consumer types based on pet food selection attributes and to analyze the differences in consumer characteristics by those types. In this study, the researcher uses k-means cluster analysis and crossover analysis to determine market segmention, and then analyzes the resultant characteristics by categorizing consumers. A total of 202 cases are used for this study. First, the selection attributes are classified into the six factors of credibility, quality, design, convenience, information, and price. Second, the clusters are categorized into the four clusters, which are designated pet food lower-involvement type, pet food information- and price-seeking type, pet food convenience-seeking type, and pet food higher-involvement type. Third, these four groups exhibit statistically significant differences in terms of occupational variables, number of pets, and purchase frequency. The results of this study may provide helpful information in establishing customized, market-based marketing strategies based on the characteristics of pet food consumers.

Two-Part Model Analysis of Artificially Sweetened Soda Purchase Behavior In Terms of the Food Health Stereotypes of "Vice" and "Virtue"

  • The domestic artificially sweetened beverage market has grown rapidly in recent years, and sodas have led this growth. This study investigated consumer food purchasing behavior of artificially sweetened sodas in terms of the food health stereotypes of "vice" and "virtue"; used to denote unhealthy and healthy food purchases, respectively. The study was conducted using consumer panel data collected by the Rural Development Administration from 2017 to 2020. Given the semi-continuous nature of artificially sweetened soda purchases, Cragg's two-part model was used for the analysis. The probability of purchasing artificially sweetened sodas increased as expenditure on snacks (a vice food category) increased. However, of those panelists who purchased artificially sweetened sodas, expenditure on artificially sweetened sodas decreased with expenditure on snacks and increased with expenditure on fruits (a virtue food category). These results suggest that vicious-lifestyle consumers choose artificially sweetened sodas when they regulate eating habits, whereas virtuous-lifestyle consumers increase artificially sweetened soda expenditure for hedonic consumption to reduce guilt based on a sensible trade-off effect.

가상착의프로그램의 활성화를 위한 용어 표준화 방안 - 아바타사이징 용어 분석 - (Standardization of Terminology to Boost the Use of 3D Virtual Fitting Program - Analysis of Terminology in Avatar Sizing -)

  • The 3D virtual fitting system is a new and very efficient system replacing real fitting in apparel industry and on-line shopping. It is a win-win system for both of consumer and manufacturer which not only reduces design and production time but also resolves consumer's complaints by checking the wearing image beforehand. It is a must-have item in the future. The purpose of this study is to analyze sizing menu, terms, and current status and to figure out problems of avatar sizing programs which substitute human bodies in virtual fitting. We chose three existing outstanding programs in domestic and global market, compared and analyzed the program, manual, and terms that are used in avatar sizing, and investigated the strengths, weaknesses, problems of options and terms and finally suggested an alternative terms. The revealed problems are as follows: each program supports various avatars ranging from male to female, from child to adult, and from oriental style to western style. The image of the avatar could be changed through the options for hair style, shoes and accessories. But we found out some problems. The avatar body types are far from actual human body types, avatar sizing menus and item terms are different from program to program, and terms not yet standardized. Cooperative efforts of industry and academy on standardization of sizing menus and terms should be emphasized for the virtual fitting system to be widely used like the other computer graphic programs or word editors.

대학생의 스마트폰 중독성향이 여가만족도에 미치는 영향 (University Students' Propensity toward Smartphone Addiction Affects Their Leisure Satisfaction)

  • This study investigated the relationship between smartphone addiction propensities and leisure satisfaction according to leisure time constraints among university students and attempted to promote an effective and desirable leisure culture. The main findings were as follows: First, leisure time constraints showed differences in terms of the withdrawal factors, overall smartphone addiction propensities, and leisure satisfaction; self-efficacy showed significant differences in terms of withdrawal and overall smartphone addiction propensities; and control showed a significant difference in leisure satisfaction. Second, in the case of university students, it was revealed that regardless of leisure constraints, as disturbance of daily living and tolerance are higher, leisure satisfaction is lower in those with smartphone addiction propensities.

중학교 가정교과와 타 교과에 제시된 소비자역량의 내용과 구성요소 분석 (Analysis of the Content and Components of Consumer Competency Presented in Home Economics and Other Subjects of Middle School)

  • 본 연구는 가정교과와 타 교과에 제시된 소비자역량의 내용과 구성요소를 분석하여 학교 소비자교육에서 청소년의 소비자역량을 함양하기 위해 가정교과가 담당해야 할 역할에 대한 시사점을 도출하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2015 개정 교육과정에 기초하여 집필된 중학교 가정교과와 타 교과인 사회, 도덕, 기술, 국어, 수학, 미술, 체육 교과서를 대상으로 소비자역량 내용, 구성요소를 분석하였다. 소비자역량 내용은 소비자역량을 측정하기 위해 체계화된 한국소비자원의 소비자역량 내용체계를 준거로 활용하여 분석하였고, 소비자역량의 구성요소(지식, 태도, 실천)의 비중과 연계성을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과와 시사점을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정교과와 타 교과에 제시된 소비자역량의 내용에서 재무역량 이 양적으로 매우 부족하였으며, 가정교과는 재무역량 내용을 거의 다루지 않고 있었다. 둘째, 시민역량에서 책임수용은 비중 있게 다루고 있었던 반면, 권리주장과은 소홀히 다루고 있어, 권리와 책임 사이의 균형이 부족함을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 가정교과에서 거래역량의 '정보통신기술활용'과 시민역량의 '소비자 참여'의 내용을 소홀히 다루고 있어 보완이 필요하였다. 넷째, 사회교과가 양적으로 가장 많은 내용을 다루고 있었으나, 내용의 범위 측면에서는 가정교과가 가장 다양한 소 영역의 내용을 제시하고 있었다. 다섯째, 교과별 소비자역량 내용의 초점을 살펴보면, 가정교과는 개인적 차원의 실천적 방안을 제시하는 내용이 주를 이루었고, 사회교과는 소비환경과 소비환경과의 상호작용을 고려하는 내용이 많았다. 한편, 도덕교과는 소비생활을 성찰하고 소비생활과 관련된 도덕적 문제를 다루고 있었다. 여섯째, 소비자교육 내용은 여전히 지식에 편중되어 있었으며, 소비자역량의 구성요소인 지식, 태도, 실천이 총체적으로 연계되어 제시되지 못하고 있었다.

의료소비자의 소비가치와 온라인 정보탐색 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on medical consumers'consumption value and online information search characteristics)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the information search behavior of medical consumers visiting a hospital, and investigate the consumption values of medical consumers, classified according to the information search behavior, and characteristics of online health and disease information. This study also tried to identify the factors affecting medical consumers classified according to information search behavior, and gain an extensive understanding of medical consumers'consumption values and online information use. The analysis results of this study are as follows: First, the consumption values of medical consumers were classified into a total of 7 factors, i.e. future-positive value, family-oriented value, sustainablehealth value, rational-progressive value, social-cooperative value, socialachiever value and hedonistic-individual value. Next, the characteristics of medical consumers'online information search behavior were classified into three types of consumer groups, i.e. the limited information-oriented consumer group, the practical information-oriented consumer group and the passionate information-oriented consumer group. Second, the analysis of the differences among the three groups classified according to the characteristics of the information search behavior in terms of consumption values, use of online information sources, utility and the intention to reuse online information showed that all the differences were statistically significant. The passionate information-oriented consumer group showed the highest scores in the sustainable-health value, the social-achiever value and the hedonisticindividual value. Third, the factors affecting medical consumers, classified into three groups according to the characteristics of the information search behavior, were found to be socio-demographic variables like consumers' age and occupation, consumers'consumption values, use of online information sources, and utility of online information. This study tried to understand what values medical consumers have according to the differences in the information search behavior by examining the consumption values of medical consumers according to the information search behavior. The significance of this study lies in the fact that consumption values are instrumental in understanding medical consumers by identifying the fundamental motives and desires of consumers' behavior.

의복 불만족의 고차요인구조 -오프라인 의복구매 및 사용- (Higher-order Factor Structure of Consumer Dissatisfaction with Clothing -Off-line Purchase and Usage-)

  • This study investigates the ultimate factor structure of consumer dissatisfaction with the off-line purchase and usage of clothing. It identifies the determinant dimensions of consumer dissatisfaction on clothing purchase and usage and investigates the hierarchical structure of consumer dissatisfaction by assessing and comparing the effectiveness of five alternative factor structure models. A total of 300 women were online-surveyed to assess the level of dissatisfaction based on their dissatisfying experience with clothing purchases and usage in terms of product quality, price, salesperson's attitude, and store environment. The exploratory factor analysis identified the underlying dimensions of dissatisfaction: Handling, Aesthetics, Salesperson, Size, Price, Product Quality, Service, and Environment. By employing a first-order confirmatory factor analysis and higher-order confirmatory factor analysis, consumer dissatisfaction was confirmed to have a hierarchical structure with three second-order constructs Intrinsic instrument is manifested by handling, quality, and size, Intrinsic expression consists of service, salesperson, and environment, and Extrinsic circumstance contains aesthetics and price. On empirically demonstrating the multi-dimensional constructs of consumer dissatisfaction by identifying its hierarchical structure, the study provides the theoretical and practical insights to comprehend consumer purchase and post-purchase behavior. Specifically, it affords an empirical platform to extend the scope of research with condensed concepts of dissatisfaction to researchers. In addition, it also enables marketers to take a broader view of consumer dissatisfaction by providing cues about potential problems and identifying the source of those problems.

스마트 의류 개발(衣類 開發)을 위한 소비자 선호도 조사(消費者 選好度 調査) - 연령별 비교(年齡別 比較)를 중심(中心)으로 - (Survey on Consumer Preference for Developing Smart Clothing - Focused on the comparison for each age -)

  • This study was conducted to survey and analyze the preference, and acceptance of smart clothing to the consumers with different age. A questionnaire with the objects of 530 consumers from the teens to the forties, in order to utilize the characteristics of consumers as basic materials for the planning of smart clothing, which is reasonably designed to have both of function and fashion, by checking the characteristics of consumers. The results are as follows; 1. The interest degree of fashion was the highest in the 20's and the acceptance degree showed the medial frequency in all age groups. In terms of the analysis result regarding general persons and professionals, professionals showed higher frequency distribution in both interest degree and acceptance degree than general persons. 2. When a comparison for each age, general person, and professional was made, more than the majority of all could not recognize the terms and concept about the smart clothing, but in terms of the favorable impression, more than the majority answered that it interests them. 3. More than the majority of the objects of this survey responded that they have a purchase intention and in terms of the desired purchase price, the price below 500,000 won showed the most frequency. In terms of the reason of wearing the smart clothing, they responded that they can select needed functions, and in terms of an occurring problem, they answered that it is the high cost of economic burdens.

Product-Story Congruence and Actor Attractiveness in Product Placements in Television Drama

  • As more consumers avoid ads aided by advanced technologies that conveniently block ads, traditional advertising is becoming less effective than ever before. Product placements are increasingly executed to unobtrusively expose products and brands to consumers while they watch media programs. The current study attempts to enhance our understanding of the factors that affect consumer attitude towards the brands placed in TV dramas. In particular, this study examines whether the attractiveness of actors and the congruency between the products placed and the story of the TV drama influence consumer attitudes towards the TV drama and the brand. A total of 211 male consumers in their 20s and 30s were used for data analyses. Structural equation modelling revealed that the product-story congruence had a positive impact on consumer attitude towards the TV drama as well as their attitude towards the brand. Actor attractiveness (in terms of similarity and likability) positively influenced consumer attitude towards the brand. Only the perceived likability dimension of actor attractiveness was found to affect consumer attitude towards the TV drama.

Effects of Pressure Cooker Brand Awareness on the Consumer Acceptability of Cooked Rice

  • The effects of pressure cooker brand awareness, in terms of rice cooking performance, were evaluated using consumer acceptability tests. A blind test was performed using rice samples cooked by 3 different pressure cookers without any brand information, and a brand awareness test followed with the same informed consumer panel. Overall acceptability, glossiness, stickiness, hardness, flavor, and color were evaluated and compared to determine whether or not there were changes on consumer choice for acceptability. Brand A and brand B were not significantly different in their overall acceptability, moisture content, flavor, or color (p > 0.05), but they were significantly different for glossiness, stickiness, and hardness. Brands A and C were significantly different for all the attributes (p < 0.05). In the brand awareness test, brands A and B were not significantly different in their liking scores for all the attributes (p > 0.05). Brand C had significantly lower liking scores for overall acceptability, glossiness, stickiness, hardness, and moisture content than the other brands (p < 0.05). When comparing the liking scores for all the attributes with those of the blind test, the scores of the brand awareness test were slightly higher. For brand A, there were changes in its liking scores for overall acceptability, flavor, and glossiness (p < 0.05). However, brands B and C had brand awareness effects for all the attributes (p < 0.05).
