The purpose of this thesis is to develop a relational model which can explain consumer selection for exporting goods and analyze the effect of corporate image on the relations between country image and consumer selection under global trade environment. The specific objectives are as follows: 1) to suggest a concept of consumer selection and measurement criteria, 2) to analyze correlations among country image, corporate image and consumer selection and 3) to find out the effect of corporate image on the relations between country image and consumer selection. The SPSS program for window and LISREL program were used to analyze the data for this study. The statistical method used in this study was the covariance structure analysis estimating parameters by maximum likelihood method. Path coefficients were tested for t-tests with a statistical significance level of .05. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, significant correlations were observed among all sub-variables proposed in this study. In addition, significant correlations were detected among country image, consumer selection and corporate image. Second, a hypothetical model proposed in this study was mostly appropriate. Country image had a positive direct effect on consumer selection and corporate image with statistical significance. In addition, it has an indirect impact on consumer selection with statistical significance with corporate image as an intervening variable. Third, corporate image had a significant moderation effect in country image-consumer selection relations. As corporate image levels increased, the effect of country image on consumer selection increased as well. In other words, it has been confirmed that if corporate image levels are high, country image could end up with consumer selection.
The purpose of this study was broken down into four sections. First, this study identified both single workers' lifestyles and their motives for going to restaurants. The study classified the consumers and then confirmed the attributes of selection that the consumers considered important when eating out at family restaurants. Second, the study analyzed the consumers' lifestyles, motives for going to restaurants (user motive), and the attributes of selection for the restaurant. Third, the study analyzed how the attributes of selection toward the family restaurant affect the consumer's satisfaction and the consumer's intention of revisiting the restaurant. Fourth, the study analyzed how consumer satisfaction affects the intention to revisit the family restaurant. After the execution of the aforementioned four steps, the study was successful in meeting its purpose: to provide information to enhance the satisfaction of the consumer and to provide foundation material for consumer policy. In regards to the analytical method, this study performed a Frequency Analysis, Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Cluster Analysis, ANOVA Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The analytical results from the study are as follows. Lifestyle was categorized into 4 factors and 4 clusters. User motive was grouped into 3 factors and 4 clusters. The attributes of selection for family restaurants were categorized into 4 factors. Based on the lifestyle cluster, the attributes of selection for family restaurants showed a statistically significant difference. In addition, based on the cluster of user motive, the attributes of selection for family restaurants showed a statistically significant difference. Lastly, the attributes of selection for family restaurants were found to affect both the intention of revisiting the restaurant and consumer satisfaction after the consumers used the restaurants.
This study aimed to determine consumer satisfaction according to selection attributes of specialized coffee shops and also understand the effects of consumer satisfaction on recommendation intention and revisit intention. Through positive analysis, the study produced the following results. In the factor analysis of selection attributes of specialized coffee shops, there were six factors: 'quality', 'brand image', 'economic feasibility', 'menu diversity', 'the atmosphere and convenience of the shop', and 'service'. Among these factors, 'brand image', 'economic feasibility', and 'menu diversity' were found to exert a significant influence on consumer satisfaction. Second, consumer satisfaction had a significant influence on recommendation intention and revisit intention. Third, consumer intention to revisit specialized coffee shops showed a significant influence on recommendation intention.
The purpose of this study was 1) to find out Market segmentation possibilities according to consumer's store selection factors by analysis of Consumer's attitude and oriteria of apparel store selection, 2) to provide marketing strategies of segment marker for apparel stores Research problems were as follows. 1) To find out the important factors of consumer's store selection and to segment markets according to their factors. 2) To find out consumer characteristics (demographic variables, clothing life factors, cloth-ing purchase behaviors) according to segment markets. 3) To find out preference store types and preference factors according to segment markets. 4) To provide marketing mix strategy for retail apparel store sales. The subjects selected for the final analysis were 586 female college students, housewives, and workers living in Seoul. A questionnaire was developed in order to measure consumer's selection criteria of apparel store, consumer characteristics and preferred store types and preferential factors. The results of this study were as follows: 1. There were 8 factors of consumer's store selection such that: the high quality, convenience, store atmosphere, economy, dependency commercials, store patronage, the conformity, product assortment. the result of cluster analysis based on these 8 factors of store selection verified that market was able to be segmented as four different market, which were the store loyalty group, the aligned economical group, the assortment pursuing group, the store fame dependent group. 2. There were significant differences among four groups, for 4 variables related to consumer's characteristics such as demographic characteristics (sex, age, job, level of education, the living quarters, marrige or unmarrige), clothing life factors, clothing evaluating criteria, and favorite fashion information sources. 3. There were significant differences among four groups for 2 variable related to store preference such as preference types of store and preference factors of store.
Using the developed wedding planner selection criteria scale, this study examined whether wedding planner selection criteria differ according to consumer characteristics such as demographic characteristics and wedding preparation behaviors. The main survey for this study was conducted via the Internet with 295 consumers aged 20-30 living in the Seoul metropolitan area. The data collected from the survey processed and analyzed using the statistical programs SPSS 21.0 t-test. Analyzing how wedding planner selection criteria differ according to consumers' demographic characteristics and wedding preparation behaviors, results shown for the wedding planner selection criteria were all four points on average except for individual characteristics and important sub-factors regardless of the consumers' characteristics, and various results were derived depending on the consumers' characteristics. This study has various practical implications in that it verified the difference in wedding planner selection criteria according to consumer characteristics and determined how much money consumers were willing to play for wedding planners. It is recommended that future studies take various approaches to investigate how wedding planner users are satisfied with or place importance on wedding planner services and conduct empirical using the selection criteria developed in this study to compare influential variables that affect behavior intention and willingness to pay according to consumer type.

This paper aimed to investigate the influence of consumer lifestyle on consumer selection of bakery cafe attributes. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire by 403 random consumers between the ages 20s and 30s in several bakery cafes in Seoul and Gyonggi area. Different methods of statistical analysis had been used such as frequency analysis, factor analysis, k-means clustering analysis, cross tabulation, one way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test with SPSS for Window 13.0 package. First, when analyzing the 16 questions of comsumer lifestyles, four factors were extracted: 'dining out-oriented factor', 'achievement-oriented factor', 'brand-oriented factor', and 'health-oriented factor'. Second, the respondents were divided into three groups by k-means cluster analysis: no interest group, dining-out & value oriented group, and health-brand oriented group. Third, consumer's bakery cafe attributes were categorized into five factors including 'food', 'convenience and image', 'store promotion', 'positive dining experience', and 'menu & merchandises'. Finally when analyzing the differences in the selection of bakery cafe attributes according to consumer's lifestyles, it showed a significant differences.
The current study investigates major factors which influence the consumer's selection of internet shopping malls. Based on the technology acceptance model(TAM)(Davis, 1989) and trust theory(McKnight & Chervany, 2001), consumer selection factors from marketing research(Burke, 1997;Dodds et al, 2001), perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, service quality, and product price were hypothesized as to affect the consumer's decision to choose one's specific internet shopping malls. The study developed a research model to explain the shopping mall selection and collected the survey responses from 312 internet shopping mall users. The results of the current research indicate that all the research variables employed in the study, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, service quality, and product price, are found to significantly influence the consumer's shopping mall selection decision. Among the influencing factors, price, service quality, and trust showed a greater effect on the shopping mall selection than usefulness and ease of use. This result implies that purchase-related variables such as price and service quality may be more critical to attracting customers and thereby raising the sales volume of the shopping mall, than the web site's usefulness and ease of use.
This study assessed scuba divers' wetsuit selection criteria based on the gender, age and scuba diving commitment level along with identifying currently owned and preferred wetsuit types. Lamb and Kallal's Functional, Expressive, and Aesthetic Consumer Needs (FEA) Model was the conceptual framework used for this study. Scuba diving has seen consistent growth, worldwide, it is necessary to investigate with wetsuit needs of this consumer group. A survey of 302 active scuba divers participated in the study. Total participants included 202 male and 100 female scuba divers. Divers stated fit was the most highly rated criteria with don/doff being most problematic. Female and older divers regarded functional performance criterion greatly(p<.05). Highly committed divers regarded the functional quality (p<.01) and aesthetic/expressive features (p<.05) of the wetsuit as important and owned more wetsuits(p<.01). Gender saw differences in required sizes ranges(p<.001) and style preferences(p<.05). Results suggest gender, age, and commitment levels all impact the wetsuit selection criteria of scuba divers.
