Multiple Nominative Constructions (MNCs) and Multiple Accusative Constructions (MACs) have been some of the hottest and interesting topics in Korean syntax. This paper took empirical approaches to these constructions and examined native speakers' grammaticality judgements of these constructions. Though there are lots of previous studies on these constructions, Ryu (2010, 2013a, 2013b, 2013c) recently tried to unify MNCs and MACs into Multiple Case Constructions (MCCs) and to classify them into 16 types based on the semantic relations. This paper includes experiments which were performed on these 16 different types. The experiments were designed following Johnson (2008); and the native speakers' intuition was measured with two scales, numerical estimates and line drawing, though the latter was adopted in the actual analyses. Through the experiment, the following facts were observed: (i) the grammaticality of the MCCs varies depending on their semantic relations, (ii) MNCs were more grammatical than MACs if both constructions occurred in similar environments, and (iii) the sentences in some MAC types had much lower grammaticality than those in the others, as Ryu (2013b, 2013c) mentioned.

As a subtype of English relative clause constructions, free relative constructions like what John ate in I ate what John ate exhibit complicated syntactic and semantic properties. In particular, the constructions have mixed properties of nominal and verbal: they have the internal syntax of sentence and the external syntax of noun phrase. This paper provides a constraint-based approach to these mixed constructions, and shows that simple constructional constraints are enough to capture their complexities. The paper begins by surveying the properties of the constructions. In discusses two types(Specific and nonspecific) of free relatives, their ,lexical restrictions nominal properties and behavior with respect to extraposition, piped piping and stacking Following these it sketches the basic framework of the HPSG(Head-driven Phrase Structure Grammar) which is of relevance in this paper. As the main part, the paper presents a constraint- based analysis in which tight interactions between grammatical constructions and a rich network of inheritance relations play important roles in accounting for the basic as well as complex properties of the constructions is question.

This paper presents a unified approach to multiple nominative and accusative constructions in Korean. We identify 16 semantic relations holding between two consecutive noun phrases (NPs) in multiple case marking constructions, and propose each semantic relation as a licensing condition on double case marking. We argue that the multiple case marking constructions are merely the sequences of double case marking, which are formed by dextrosinistrally sequencing the pairs of the same-case marked NPs of same or different type. Some appealing consequences of this proposal include a new comprehensive classification of the sequences of same-case NPs and a straightforward account of some long standing problems such as how the additional same-case NPs are licensed, and in what respects the multiple nominative marking and the multiple accusative marking are alike and different from each other.

Fourth, It is a Point that Contribute the Mooing Problem of Korea. Fifth, It is that Supply the Low-class Housing.

This paper presents a unified account of three kinds of constructions in which more than one NP can show up with the same case in simple sentences in Japanese and Korean: double subject, double nominative object and double accusative constructions. Noting that the second NPs in these constructions are functional or relational, this paper proposes to assign them the category and type different from the first NPs. We show the derivations of these three constructions in a parallel manner, and explain the asymmetries in extractability between possessor and possessed NPs in relativization.

This study was conducted to investigate the flexural behaviour of sandwich constructions with cement concrete core and polymer concrete facings. Six different cross-sectional shapes using epoxy based polymer concrete facings were investigated. Some of the results from the static tests are given including the load-deflection responses, load-strain relationships, ultimate moment, and mode of failure. From the. results the following conclusions can be made. 1. The various strengths of polymer concrete were very high compared to the strengths for portland cement concrete, while modulus of elasticity assumed an aspect of contrast. 2. The thickness of core and facing exerted a great influence on the deflection and ultimate strenght of polymer concrete sandwich constructions. 3. The variation shape of deflection and strain depend on loading were a very close approximation to the straight line. The ultimate strain of polymer concrete at the end of tensile side were ranged from 625x10-6 to 766x10-6 and these values increased in proportion to the decrease of thickness of core and facings. 4. The ultimate moments of polymer sandwich constructions were 3 to 4 times that of cement concrete constructions which was transformed same section. It should he noted that polymer concrete have an effect on the reinforcement of weak constructions. 5. Further tests are neede to investigate the shear strain of constructions, and thermal expansion, shrinkage and creep of cement and polymer concrete which were composite materials of sandwich constructions.

Korean is well-known for its topic-prominent properties. In this paper, we look into several subtypes of topic constructions whose grammatical complexities have received much attention in generative grammar. From a semantic/pragmatic view, topics in Korean can be classified into three different types: aboutness, contrastive, and scene-setting. Meanwhile, syntax can classify topic constructions into two types, depending on whether or not the comment clause following topic has a syntactic gap linked to the topic. In this paper, we review some key properties of these topic constructions in Korean, and suggest that each type is licensed by tight interactions between syntactic and semantic constraints. In particular, the paper tries to offer a Construction Grammar analysis where each grammatical component is interacting in non-modular ways and in which the multiple inheritance network of constructions plays an important role in capturing cross-cutting generalizations of the topic constructions.
