Purpose: The current status and rationale of industrial accidents needs to be examined to develop scientific and systemic preventive measures. Methods: The aim of this study is to analyze the current data on industrial accidents provided by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and categorize work-related deaths by types of industries and annual report. Results: First, the highest number of deaths occurred in industries that had less than 50 people. Second, in the manufacturing industry, the highest death rate was found in workers in the age group 50-59 years. In the construction industry, workers aged 50 and above had the highest number of deaths. In other industries, workers aged 60 and above had the highest number of deaths. Third, the highest number of deaths occurred in workers with less than one year of experience in any industry Fourth, in most industries, the highest work-related deaths occurred during weekdays (Monday~Friday). In 2015, the warehouse delivery industry had 33% higher work-related deaths on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as compared to other industries. Fifth, in most industries, the highest work-related deaths occurred from 8 AM to 6 PM. The warehouse delivery industry had higher work-related deaths from 10 PM to 8 AM as compared to other industries. Conclusion: In order to increase the efficacy of industrial accident prevention, it is necessary to establish an effective health management system and apply strict safety management activities.
This study has the object of deriving schemes for not only securing safety of chestnuts, which is the most important forest product in terms of both production and exportation, to consumers with implementing persistent production of them in harmony with the environment, but also producing environmentally friendly chestnuts that can contribute to the increase of a farm household's income through price differentiation from other chestnuts, which are grown by generally accepted ways. In order to do this, I performed an analysis of the reality and outcome from the management of farm households that produce environmentally friendly chestnuts. The result of the analysis demonstrated some problems such as poor establishment of farming skills in a beginning stage, administrative problems with weeding operations and prevention of blight, difficulty in ensuring distribution channels and high production cost. Therefore, propelling productive expansion of environmentally friendly chestnuts after resolving these problems requires many supports and ideas: establishment and diffusion of farming skill system under the cooperation of civil and government organizations, construction of environmentally friendly INM (Integrated Nutrient Management) and IPM (Integrated Pest Management), creation of production areas for improving productivity, introduction of 'Institution of Income Conservation for Environmentally-Friendly Production' that can help farmers to preserve integrity of income on their switchover to production of environmentally friendly chestnuts from generally-grown chestnuts, and finally strong and persistent promotion of environmentally friendly chestnuts towards existing farmers and consumers.

Rapidly increasing automobile supply rate according to improved economic level of life makes lack of parking space of apartments. Even though the initial design of parking space compiled with old regulations, it may not observe either new laws or requirement of inhabitants. Even if old apartments have no structural durability problem, outworn facilities and insufficient parking area may be a main reason for reconstruction. It causes waste of national resources and makes recycling issues. Additionally, irregularly parked cars make traffic obstruction to a fire engine and result in many fire accident victims. Parking problems of apartments are not only inconvenience but also serious safety issues. From these points of view, remodeling only for parking area expansion is necessary to avoid overall reconstruction of apartments. The purpose of this study is to suggest a retaining wall selection method for apartments underground parking lots expansion without evacuation of resident people. Effect factors to select retaining wall system are analyzed and weight values are calculated by applying AHP. One selection method of retaining wall is proposed by evaluating applicability and its sensitivity analysis is executed. This selection method is expected to help decision-making of retaining wall system selection.

Since the 1960s, though there were brisk supply in apartment housing, there were no preparation in standard for to extend the life(durability) of apartment housing by maintaining the $social{\cdot}physical$ aspect of apartment housing, and in standard maintenance system. So problem such as facilities safety and residence environment has occurred. Like the condition written above, efficient usage of housing resource by the maintenance of apartment housings in a state of great urgency. In service aspect of apartment housing, establishment of accurate long term repair plan and estimate of repair appropriation fund can prevent housing's fast-deterioration. But to the performers of the maintenance, like house managers and the tenants at the subject building has little awareness of necessity in establishment of accurate long term repair plan and accumulation of repair appropriation fund. Unestablishment of long term repair plan arises problem such as approval of repair appropriation fund's unreasonable accumulation. Hence, for the utmost performance of apartment housing and to extend the economic life of a building, the method of establishment of long term repair plan and estimate of repair appropriation fund on reliable basis is to be proposed.

The primary objective of this study is to develop an all-in-one based steel pipe pile cutting robot prototype that improves the conventional steel pipe pile head cutting work in safety, quality, and productivity. For this, the following research works are conducted sequentially; 1)literature review and expert survey, 2)selection of core technology using AHP analysis, 3)deduction of detail design, 4)verification of structural stability, 5)development of full-scale prototype. As a result leveling laser and laser detector(94.46), plasma cutter(96.72), rotary grapple(98.45) are selected as a core technologies. As an outcome, it is analyzed that gripper, cylinder pivot bracket and gripper base are structurally stable. Their maximum stresses are shown as 43.0%, 19.4%, 5.3% compared to their yield strength respectively. The development of full-scale prototype in this study will be utilized for the development of the all-in-one attachment based steel pipe pile cutting robot commercialization model.

The primary objectives of this study are to develop a detail design of automated PHC pile head cutting machine and structural stability analysis of detail design that improves the conventional head cutting work in safety, quality, and productivity. For this, the following research works are conducted sequentially; 1)literature review and field study, 2)expert survey and interview, 3)selection of core technology using AHP analysis, 4)deduction of detail design 5) verification of structural stability. As an outcome, it is analyzed that gripper and gripper bearing shaft are structurally stable. Their maximum stresses are shown as 15.93%, 10.58% compared to their yield strength respectively. The results of detail design and structural stability analysis in this study will be utilized for the actual development of the automated PHC pile cutting machine prototype.

As the number of units increased by vertical extension is recently allowed according to the Housing Law, the aged apartment remodeling projects using the same allowed method are pursued in several apartment complex located in Bundang and Pyungchon. However, progress of the projects is not advanced due to uncertainty of the process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve a business process model for the aged apartment remodeling in case of the number of units are increased for the remodeling union to pursue the remodeling project easily. In order to improve the process model, requirements for the Housing Act are analyzed, the existing process model is developed based upon the requirements, uncertainty of the existing process is examined and a to be process model is proposed to eliminate the uncertainty. Many architects and engineers are consulted to discuss the uncertainty and process model. This model will help the Government to reform the Housing Act and remodeling unions to pursue the aged apartment remodeling.

Machines for crack sealing automation have been continually developed since the early 1990's because of the effectiveness of crack sealing that would be able to improve safety, quality and productivity. It has been considered challenging problem to detect crack network in pavement which includes noise (oil marks, skid marks, previously sealed cracks and inherent noise). Moreover, it is required to develop crack network mapping and modeling algorithm in order to accurately inject sealant along to the middle of cut crack network. The primary objective of this study is to propose machine vision algorithms (digital image processing algorithm and path planning algorithm) for fully automated pavement crack sealing. It is anticipated that the effective use of the proposed machine vision algorithms would be able to reduce error rate in image processing for detecting, mapping and modeling crack network as well as improving quality and productivity compared to existing vision algorithms.

The purpose of this study is to examine the importance and satisfaction perceived in the purchase of goods and the use of a court in badminton club members. The results will be used for basic data to increase club members and present the methods to activate badminton. The survey on goods, price, programs, facilities, staff, and publicity was conducted. The IPA matrix was applied for data processing. The following conclusions were drawn. First, as a result of analyzing the ranking of importance and satisfaction, the first place of importance was coach's professionalism of staff factors, followed by safety of facility factors and program contents and effects of program factors. The first place of satisfaction was cleanliness and management of facility factors, followed by coach's professionalism of staff factors and staff's kindness of staff factors. Second, as a result of the IPA matrix of importance and satisfaction, Quadrant I included appropriateness of training time and program contents and effect of program factors, parking size and cleanliness and management of facility factors, coach's professionalism and staff's service attitude of staff factors, and customer service and complaint resolution of publicity factors. Quadrant II showed appropriateness of price, value for money, and discount policy of price factors and materials and design of goods factors. Quadrant III included excellent customer service of goods of goods factors, various program construction of program factors, court location and accessibility, and various convenient facilities of facility factors, and various publicity and event programs, website construction, and various publicity strategies of publicity factors. Quadrant IV showed brand value of goods, awareness, and brand specialty of goods of goods factors.

Walkability is an indicator of how much pedestrians are willing to walk and how well a walking environment is created. As walking can promote pedestrians' mental and physical health, there has been increasing focus on improving walkability in different ways. Thus, plenty of research has been undertaken to measure walkability. When measuring walkability, there are many objective and subjective variables. Subjective variables include a feeling of safety, pleasure, or comfort, which can significantly affect perceived walkability. However, these subjective factors are difficult to measure by making the walkability index more reliant on objective and physical factors. Because many subjective variables are associated with human emotional states, understanding pedestrians' emotional states provides an opportunity to measure the subjective walkability variables more quantitatively. Pedestrians' emotions can be examined through surveys, but there are social and economic difficulties involved when conducting surveys. Recently, an increasing number of studies have employed physiological data to measure pedestrians' stress responses when navigating unpleasant environmental barriers on their walking paths. However, studies investigating the emotional states of pedestrians in the walking environment, including assessing their positive emotions felt, such as pleasure, have rarely been conducted. Using wearable devices, this study examined the various emotional states of pedestrians affected by the walking environment. Specifically, this study aimed to demonstrate the feasibility of monitoring biometric data, such as electrodermal activity (EDA) and heart rate variability (HRV), using wearable devices as an indicator of pedestrians' emotional states-both pleasant-unpleasant and aroused-relaxed states. To this end, various walking environments with different characteristics were set up to collect and analyze the pedestrians' biometric data. Subsequently, the subjects wearing the wearable devices were allowed to walk on the experimental paths as usual. After the experiment, the valence (i.e., pleasant or unpleasant) and arousal (i.e., activated or relaxed) scale of the pedestrians was identified through a bipolar dimension survey. The survey results were compared with many potentially relevant EDA and HRV signal features. The research results revealed the potential for physiological responses to indicate the pedestrians' emotional states, but further investigation is warranted. The research results were expected to provide a method to measure the subjective factors of walkability by measuring emotions and monitoring pedestrians' positive or negative feelings when walking to improve the walking environment. However, due to the lack of samples and other internal and external factors influencing emotions (which need to be studied further), it cannot be comprehensively concluded that the pedestrians' emotional states were affected by the walking environment.
