건설감리실무 지원을 위한 정보관리시스템 구축에 관한연구 (A Study on the Management Information System for Supporting the Supervision of Construction Workplace)

  • The purpose of this study was to construct the management information system for supporting the supervision of construction workplace. For the purpose, firstly, this study surveyed the present states and the problems of construction workplace in Korea. And then, defined the range and the process of the supervision of construction workplace, and examined the information standards of construction and the CALS standards for supporting. As a result, this study proposed the first stage of management information system, which consists of several basic functions, such as, document management, system management and partially, duality management and construction information management.

  • As amount of information in construction industry is growing, the role of information system in project management is becoming increasingly important. With the emerging IT application to the advancing construction industry, construction project management system with advanced technology has been progressed vigorously to improve construction productivity and management efficiency. Recently, a web-based Project Management Information System (PMIS) is developed to support decision-making process by efficiently managing project related information generated from various discipline. Many firms are in the process of developing the PMIS system or already have been applied the system to various projects. However, PMIS is still in its early stage of development to be applied at industrial plant construction projects that process management is significantly emphasized for the successful execution of the project. With the complexity of the industrial plant projects, the industry practitioners need to be able to visualize the construction schedule information to manage the project efficiently. This study suggests methodologies for improving PMIS specialized for industrial plant piping construction projects to estimate the baseline schedule and performance measurement more accurately by developing a framework for the piping construction projects. By using this developed system, the researchers expect that piping construction projects will be more efficiently managed on a real-time basis through measuring progress of piping at each and every state of progress milestone and provide management with opportunities to forecast the level of efforts required to execute the remaining work scope in a timely manner

  • The widespread dissemination of the green building certification system has led to the ongoing development of information management technologies with the aim to effectively utilize construction product information. Among them, a data crawling technology enables to collect the data conveniently and to manage large volumes of construction product information in Korea and overseas. However, without a standardized classification system, it is difficult to efficiently utilize information, and problems such as an additional work for classifying information or information-sharing errors. Therefore, this study suggests to present a necessity for the standardization of the information classification system through expert interviews, and to compare construction product classification systems in Korea and overseas. This study is expected to present a necessity for the effective management of construction product information and the standardization of information-sharing with regard to various construction certifications.

  • As information and communication technology advances driving the rapid evolution of e-commerce and e-business becomes on effective marketing means for both business and institutions, the industry deals with these changes and has a profound, positive impact on production and operations management. But the construction industry falls behind compared with other industries in productivity, informationalization, automatization and globalization. Especially even though the informationalization is inevitable in any developing society, a number of construction industries can hardly cope with it properly. As the construction industry gets informationalized and advanced, the introduction of PMIS (Project Management Information System) is making progress actively for the effective construction project control and productivity improvement in construction. With the government officials' political promotion and the rising desire for construction informationalization of enterprises, many are attempting to develop integrated systems or to replace a previous system with a more advanced alternative. Construction Industry, however, has the peculiar properties that the period for the completion of construction is limited and on top of that, most of its data processing systems are seen as being an early stage in the design of management information systems. As a result, there are extremely few applications in the construction industry. In this paper, we propose the PMIS system based on new model 4CM that improves on previous models.

건설공사 철근정보관리 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Integrated Management System for Rebar Information in Building Construction)

  • With labor shortage and high-wage, the construction cost is rising and the construction-business is dull, demanding the construction environment of Korea to raise profitability through major cost savings and rationalization of construction management. Therefore, in this study, to improve many problems found in calculating rebar quantity for capital expenditure programming which is considered the beginning stage of rebar work. and to improve problems such as no grasping of rebar loss due to lack of systematic management in order/purchase stage and construction management stage, a rebar information-management-system was found and preyed. The relation database was designed for the rebar information management system by analyzing work process of a rebar manufacturing plant, as the rebar information that is necessary in a rebar manufacturing plant if similar to that of a purchasing department of general construction company. The Proposed rebar information management system was implemented in two large rebar production plants. The implementation of the proposed system showed that the system increased work efficiency, reduced the management manpower, and improved the project-integrated management

건설공사 사후평가 제도 활성화 방안 수립 (Strategies for Facilitating Post-Construction Evaluation and Management System)

  • The Post-Construction Evaluation and Management System has been operated over the past 20 years not only to analyze the performance of large-scale construction projects, and but also to provide useful reference data for future similar projects. Although the Post-Construction Evaluation and Management Center has been legally designated and operated since 2020, various problems have been occurring in the operation of the system. Accordingly, this study proposes strategies for facilitating Post-Construction Evaluation and Management System in terms of the following three aspects: (1) improving the implementation rate of post-construction evaluation; (2) improving the information management system related to post-construction evaluation; (3) improving the utilization of post-construction evaluation outcomes. Based on the results of this study, a specific action plan will be prepared, which is expected to contribute to the efficiency of construction project performance management in the future.

  • The information generated in large-scale and complex construction projects are transferred continuously and transformed into project products on the long span life cycle. Therefore, information flow management is related with the success of project directly. However, certain characteristics of large-scale and complex construction projects make the solving the problem more difficultly. Although several information retrieval systems support the information management system, it is not suitable to grasp information flows. Hence, we developed an information retrieval system specialized with the information flow based on a preceding research. The system consists of a relation-based database and the process information transferring relation inference application module. The system enables project managers to manage the entire project process more efficiently and each project member to work their own task being served the information flow retrieval results.

  • A system to efficiently utilize construction information has been in demand as a result of the changing society where information and knowledge leads to added value. Consequently, the government established a comprehensive information network system for construction industries to manage and utilize construction information which is the currently in use. However, this system is oriented toward management and business performance estimation for engineering and does not integrate a management system for design, construction technology, and construction engineering services. Therefore, this study proposes to develop object technology and management system of construction services and its evaluation to provide such information in real time.

  • 국내 산업 전반에 걸친 정보화 추세는 건설산업에도 예외가 될 수 없지만, 급속하게 전파되고 있는 인터넷의 활용을 통하여 효율적인 건설품질관리업무를 수행하고 있는 건설업체는 몇몇 대형건설업체에 불과하다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 H건설의 품질정보관리시스템(QIMS)의 구축사례를 알아보고, 이러한 시스템의 활용을 통하여, 향후 건설품질경영시스템(CQMS)이 정착되고 발전되어서 국내건설산업 전체가 국제적으로 품질경쟁력을 인정받는 계기가 될 수 있는 기반을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 건설생산성의 혁신적 향상을 지향하는 린건설(Lean Construction) 구현을 위해 가장 시급히 개선되어야 할 사항은 건설생산 프로세스의 개선과 건설정보의 신뢰성 향상으로 정의될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 건설생산 프로세스 중 설계/시공단계에서의 개선사항을 설계관리, 자재조달관리, 공정관리 측면에서 도출하고, 각 단계에서 도출된 개선사항을 웹기반 정보시스템으로 실현하여 건설산업 종사자들에게 필요한 정보와 지식을 제공하고자 웹 기반 분산형 건설정보 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해 건설생산 프로세스 각 단계에서의 주요 문제점을 파악하여 개선모델 및 요소기술을 제시하고, 모델의 구현을 위한 시스템 프로토타입을 개발하였다. 설계/자재조달/공정 관리지원 시스템은 웹 기반의 지식관리 시스템을 중심으로의 통합을 추진할 예정이다.
