볼빔 시스템에 대한 입자 군집 최적화를 이용한 최적 퍼지 직렬형 제어기 설계 (Design of Optimized Fuzzy Cascade controller Based on Partical Swarm Optimization for Ball & Beam System)

  • In this study, we introduce the design methodology of an optimized fuzzy cascade controller with the aid of particle swarm optimization(PSO) for ball & beam system. The ball & beam system consists of servo motor, beam and ball, and remains mutually connected in line in itself. The ball & beam system determines the position of ball through the control of a servo motor. We introduce the fuzzy cascade controller scheme which consists of the outer(1st) controller and the inner(2nd) controller as two cascaded fuzzy controllers, and auto-tune the control parameters(scaling facrors) of each fuzzy controller using PSO. For a detailed comparative analysis from the viewpoint of the performance results and the design methodology, the proposed method for the ball & beam system which is realized by the fuzzy cascade controller based on PSO, is presented in comparison with the conventional PD cascade controller based on serial genetic alogritms.

Dynamic response of an elastic bridge loaded by a moving elastic beam with a finite length

  • The present paper is concerned with vibrations of an elastic bridge loaded by a moving elastic beam of a finite length, which is an extension of the authors' previous study where the second beam was modeled as a semi-infinite beam. The second beam, which represents a train, moves with a constant speed along the bridge and is assumed to be connected to the bridge by the limiting case of a rigid interface such that the deflections of the bridge and the train are forced to be equal. The elastic stiffness and the mass of the train are taken into account. The differential equations are developed according to the Bernoulli-Euler theory and formulated in a non-dimensional form. A solution strategy is developed for the flexural vibrations, bending moments and shear forces in the bridge by means of symbolic computation. When the train travels across the bridge, concentrated forces and moments are found to take place at the front and back side of the train.

보-스트링 구조의 횡 좌굴에 관한 연구 (A Study on Lateral Buckling of Beam String Structures)

  • Beam string structures(BSS) are one kind of efficient structure system because the bending moment in the beams is reduced greatly through the struts and the strings. As the struts in BSS are used as middle supports to the beam and always in compression, the buckling of the struts should be avoided. This paper investigates the lateral buckling of the struts in BSS. Firstly, the strut of a one-strut BSS is simplified into an analytical model by considering load is formulated and some special cases of the model are analyzed. Finally, the lateral buckling load of the strut is numerically examined by means of parameter studies. It is known that, because on end of the struts is jointed to the beam while the other end is connected to the strings, the buckling of the struts not only depends on the length of the struts and the stiffness of the joints, but also depends on the rise and the lateral stiffness of the beam, the layout of the strings and the number of the struts.

  • Green Frame is a column-beam system constructed by composite precast column and beam connected by embedded steel of their. From when the precast concrete beam of Green Frame is installed, until the concrete of slab and connection joint is cured, the self load of beam shall be supported by the embedded steel of it. Therefore, the concrete of beam could be separated from the embedded steel if the shear connector of beam of Green Frame is designed by the code on Structural standard. So, this study suggest an equation for the shear connection of composite precast concrete beams of Green Frame. The result of this study will be used as the main equation of the calculation model for shear connectors of composite precast concrete beams.

Intelligent computer modelling and simulation for the large amplitude of nano systems

  • The nonlinear dynamic behavior of a nonuniform small-scale nonlocal beam is investigated in this work. The nanobeam is theoretically modeled using the nonlocal Eringen theory, as well as a few of Von-nonlinear Kármán's theories and the classical beam theory. The Hamilton principle extracts partial differential equations (PDE) of an axially functionally graded (AFG) nano-scale beam consisting of SUS304 and Si3N4 throughout its length, and an elastic Winkler-Pasternak substrate supports the tapered AFG nanobeam. The beam thickness is a function of beam length, and it constantly varies throughout the length of the beam. The numerical solution strategy employs an iteration methodology connected with the generalized differential quadratic method (GDQM) to calculate the nonlinear outcomes. The nonlinear numerical results are presented in detail to examine the impact of various parameters such as nonlinear amplitude, nonlocal parameter, the component of the elastic foundation, rate of cross-section change, and volume fraction parameter on the linear and nonlinear free vibration characteristics of AFG nanobeam.

강판으로 접합된 프리스트레스트 콘크리트보의 구조성능 평가를 위한 실험연구 (An Experimental Research to Evaluate Structural Capacity of Pre-stressed Concrete Beam connected with Embedded Steel Plate)

  • 본 연구에서는 2,000 kN 용량의 actuator를 이용, 12 m 경간의 실물 크기로 제작된 프리스트레스트 콘크리트 보의 구조성능 평가를 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 보의 양 단에는 접합을 위한 강판을 매립하였으며 시험체는 별도로 제작된 철골 보에 고력볼트접합 방식으로 세팅되었다. 프리스트레스트 콘크리트와 슬래브 콘크리트의 설계기준강도는 각각 50 MPa와 24 MPa이며, 인장 철근으로 사용된 2-HD25 철근은 매립강판의 구성요소 중 하나인 수직강판에 용접하였다. 실험은 변위제어법에 의하여 수행되었으며 10 mm의 변위를 증가시키며 loading과 unloading을 반복적으로 가력하였다. 실험결과를 살펴보면, 탄성거동구간에서는 약 88.34%, 비탄성거동구간에서는 약 86.97% 그리고 소성거동구간에서는 약 66.83%의 프리스트레싱에 의한 변위복원능력을 나타냄을 알 수 있었다.

  • 외부 회로가 연결된 압전 재료는 외부 회로의 영향으로 진동수에 영향을 받는 강성(stiffness)과 손실 계수(loss factor)를 가지게 된다. 일반적으로 외부 회로는 두 종류로 구별이 된다. 저항만으로 구성된 경우와 저항과 인덕터(inductor)로 구성된 경우이다. 저항만으로 구성된 경우를 RES(resistive shunting)라 하는데, 이 경우는 압전 재료의 물성이 점탄성 물질과 비슷하게 진동수에 영향을 받는다. 그러나 점탄성 물질에 비해서 더 큰 강성을 지니고, 온도에 영향을 덜 받는다. 저항과 인덕터로 구성된 경우를 RSP(resonant circuit shunting)라 하는데, PMD(proof mass damper)와 비슷한 방법으로 구조물의 공진을 최적으로 조절할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 외부 회로와 연결된 압전 재료를 이용하여 복합재 보의 진동을 수동적으로 제어하는 실험을 수행하여 그 결과를 제시하였다.

Dynamic analysis of semi-rigidly connected and partially embedded piles via the method of reverberation-ray matrix

  • Free vibration and dynamic responses of piles semi-rigidly connected with the superstructures are investigated. Timoshenko beam theory is employed to characterize the pile partially embedded in a two-parameter elastic foundation. The formulations for the method of reverberation-ray matrix (MRRM) are then derived to investigate the dynamics of the pile with surface cracks, which are modeled as massless rotational springs. Comparison with existent numerical and experimental results indicates the proposed method is very effective and accurate for dynamic analysis, especially in the high frequency range. Finally, the effects of some physical parameters on the natural frequencies, frequency responses and transient responses of the piles are studied.

점토지반에서 하중특성 및 연결보조건에 따른 송전철탑용 연결형 말뚝기초의 특성 분석 (Analysis of Characteristics of Connected-pile Foundations for Transmission Tower according to Changes of Load and Connection Beam Conditions in Clay)

  • 부등침하는 연약지반에 시공되는 철탑기초에 있어서 주요한 손상을 야기한다. 송전철탑용 연결형 말뚝기초는 연약지반에서의 송전철탑기초의 부등침하를 방지하기 위한 구조물로서, 주기초체와 주기초체 사이에 위치하여 기초를 연결하는 연결보로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 송전용 철탑기초에 작용하는 연결보의 영향을 조사하기 위하여, 전라북도에 위치한 건설현장에서 24회의 모형재하시험을 수행하였다. 시험에서는 다양한 하중조건과 연결보 조건이 고려되었으며, 시험결과 수평하중에 의한 연결형 말뚝기초의 발생변위가 철탑에 작용하는 수평하중의 각도에 따라 달라지는 것으로 나타났다. 연결형 기초의 침하는 연결보의 강성이 증가할수록 감소하였으며, 수평지지력은 수평하중이 재하되는 철탑의 높이가 낮을수록 증가하였고, 파괴시점에서의 하중의 크기는 대부분의 경우 하중재하방향에 상관없이 유사한 것으로 나타났다.

조립성을 고려한 위상 최적설계법 개발 (Structural Layout Optimization Strategy Considering Assemblage)

  • In the ground-structure-based topology optimization, beam elements are regarded to be rigidly connected to each other, and joints are assumed to have infinite stiffness. Thus the optimized topology of a structure is obtained according to the assumption of no joint effect, and the resulting structure should be manufactured in one piece if the joint effect is to be excluded as much as possible. The underlying problems are that 1) the performance of the structure might be seriously decreased if the members of the structure are connected through welding or bolting, not manufactured in one piece, and 2) the topology of the structure will be changed if the joint effect is taken into account. In the paper, the assemblage issue is considered on topology optimization, and a new formulation based on the joint stiffness-varied ground beam structure is developed. Joints of a beam structure are modeled by elastic spring elements whose stiffnesses are controlled by design variables during the optimization.
