A Study on New Service Model Based on Centralized Conference Model in SIP Environment (SIP 환경에서의 중앙 집중형 컨퍼런스 모델 기반의 새로운 서비스 모델에 관한 연구)

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-based centralized conference service model has advantage of easiness in conference management and service as compared to other models. However when media server which is one of the components of conference server is included in the conference server, this model shows disadvantage of high server work load with increasing numbers of conferences and participants. In this paper, to improve this problem, we have suggested and implemented a new conference service model in which an UA(User Agent) who first make the conference acts as a media server instead of conventional conference server and, the conference server with conference event package takes only part of management of the conference and its participants. Therefore, many more conferences can be held and managed compared to the conventional centralized conference service model because load of the conference server decreases in our suggested model md, furthermore the participants needs only make SIP call connections to the UA who first make the conference for establishing media session.

  • 현재의 대부분의 VOD System에서는 Single Server System의 제약인 확장성과 안정적 서비스를 제공하기 위해 Multi-Server System을 사용하고 있다. Multiple Server에 Video Data를 Striping한 구조를 Parallel Video Server Architecture라 한다. 본 연구에서는 Parallel Video Server System 상에서 Data의 Striping Policy에 대해 고찰해보고 이때 발생하는 load balancing과 redundancy 문제의 해결책을 제시하였다. 또한 이를 실제 local Network 시스템에 적용하여 구현하였다.

  • Today large corporations are constructing distributed server environment. Many corporations are respectively operating Web server, FTP server, Mail server and DB server on heterogeneous operation. However, there is the problem that a manager must manage each server individually. In this paper, we present distributed FTP server for log mining system on ACE. Proposed log mining system is based upon ACE (Adaptive Communication Environment) framework and data mining techniques. This system provides a united operation with distributed FTP server.

  • This paper designs and implements fault-tolerant server of meta server for shared filesystem (SANfs) in SAN environment. SANfs is the filesystem that many clients can share data in Network-attached storage in SAN environment and meta server is the server that processes file operation in SANfs. The focus of this paper is the implementation of fault-tolerant server of meta server in SANfs. In the event of a meta server, meta server failovers to a fault-tolerant server where its processing continues seamlessly. If meta server doesn't restore, fault-tolerant server searches reliable client and makes another fault-tolerant server and work as meta server. Heartbeat monitors meta server and shadow server and controls them.

  • SIP-based tightly coupled conference, which has a centrally located conference server for controlling and management, can be classified several models according to location of focus and mixer. These are centralized server model, endpoint server model, media server component model and distributed mixing model. However each model has its strength and weakness. In this paper, we propose and implement a SIP-based effective hybrid-type conference model which decreases amount of SIP signaling messages, lowers load of server media mixer, and can be easily expandable to large scale conference. In this model, when the number of participants exceeds a pre-defined limit, the conference server selects some participants which posses specific functions and let them share functions of notifications of conference state event package and media mixing. When each participant subscribes conference state event package to the server, it can indicates its possession of such functions by a specific header message. The server stores the indication to the conference information database, and later uses it to select participants for load sharing. The performance of our proposed model is evaluated by experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 SAN 기반 공유 파일 시스템인 SANfs의 fault-tolerance를 보장받기 위해 fault-tolerant server인 shadow server를 구현하였다 SANfs(1)는 SAN에서 Network-attached storage에 접근하는 여러 클라이언트가 서로의 데이터를 공유할 수 있도록 도와주는 파일시스템이다. SANfs에서 파일 관리를 위해 meta server를 두고 있으며, 이 서버에서 네트워크를 통해 접근하는 털러 클라이언트의 request를 관리한다. SAMfs에서는 meta server를 통해 중앙 집중식으로 파일시스템을 관리하고 있기에 meta server가 fault가 나게 되면 전체 시스템의 동작이 멈추게 되는 single point-of-failure의 문제가 생기게 된다. 본 논문에서는 meta server가 fault가 났을 경우에도 지속적으로 서비스를 할 수 있도록 shadow server를 두었으며. 이 서버가 meta server의 이상 시 그 기능을 대행하도록 하였다. 본 논문의 shadow server는 평상시에 meta server와 파일시스템의 metadata의 동기를 맞추고 있으며, 이 정보를 가지고 meta server로 그 기능을 전환하였을 때 서비스를 해 주도록 하고 있다. 상대 서버의 이상 유무의 판단은 heartbeat를 통해 이루어지고 있으며, meta server로의 failover는 heartbeat의 주기에 영향을 받음을 실험을 통해 알게 되었다.

  • A client/server system has become the computing architecture for the business organization which seeks competitive edges. Technically, a client/server system places application processing close to the user and thus increases performance. This paper's two primary goals are (i) to present a performance model for client/server database systems and (ii) to demonstrate analytically the effectiveness of client/server computing in comparison with other computing architectures via an illustrative example. The model is most likely to be used as a practical performance guide for client/server computing.

  • The main purpose of this paper is a study on the automatically implementing a Multi user server education system and homepage via web browser from toolkit embedded Multi user server unix server Perl programming language and c language was used to make this toolkit. With using window based web browsers, the user can make they own classroom homepage. In this paper, we propose the single user server version and Multi user server version of this toolkit. With use of ftp, the Multi user server version of this toolkit can make homepage to other unix server workstation

  • In order to provide the reliable service and contents to telematics service user, any service server must be tested and verified before launching its service in sufficient. In this paper, we proposed a test framework for telematics server. The proposed framework includes conformance test of server, interoperability test between telematics service server and telematics terminal. The framework proposed the concept and test model for two categories of testing.

  • 본 논문에서는 Android System 핵심 부분을 기존의 System Server 에 Application Server 를 더하여 2개의 서버로 재구성하는 방안을 논의한다. Application Server 는 DalvikVM 과 Application 저장/스케줄링 프로세스로 구성한다. Application Server 가 모든 사용자의 Application 을 저장하고 스케줄링하고 DalvikVM에 할당하여 실행시키도록 한다. 이 방법은 사용자 입장에서는 단순화된 Android System 구조로 인하여 응용의 개발이 용이해지고 응용의 반응도 빠르게 된다. 시스템 입장에서도 구조가 단순해져서 실행 효율이 좋아지고 메모리 사용 효율도 좋아진다.
