This study conducted a student-centered inquiry lesson on the similarity of figures using AlgeoMath, with student learning aspects analyzed from a communication perspective. This approach aimed to inform pedagogical implications related to teaching geometric similarity. Through utilizing AlgeoMath, students were able to visually confirm that their chosen figures were similar, experiencing key mathematical concepts such as the ratio of similarity to the area of similar figures, and congruency and similarity conditions of triangles. In the lessons applying this concept, we categorized the features of similarity learning displayed by students, as seen in the communication aspects of their exploratory activities, into 'Understanding similarity ratios', 'Grasping conditions of similarity in triangles', and 'Comparing concepts of congruency and similarity'. Through exploratory activities based on AlgeoMath, students discussed the meaning and mathematical relationships of key concepts related to similarity, such as the ratio of similarity to the area of figures, and the meaning and conditions of congruence and similarity in triangles. By improving misconceptions about the similarity of figures, they were able to develop deeper mathematical understanding. This study revealed that in teaching and learning the geometric similarity using AlgeoMath, obtaining meaningful pedagogical outcome was not solely due to the features of the AlgeoMath environment, but also largely depended on the teacher's guidance and intervention that stimulated students' thinking.
This study explored the elementary school teachers' experiences while teaching students with low achievement in science based on the grounded theory. In-depth interviews and analysis were conducted on 13 teachers with experiences in teaching students with low achievement in science within the last three years and more than five years of field experience until the theoretical saturation of data on the teaching experiences for students with low achievement in science. The analysis results were as follows. First, the teaching experiences of elementary school teachers for underachievers in science were classified into 119 concepts, 41 subcategories, and 17 categories. Based on the paradigm model, the categories were structured and presented as causal conditions, contextual conditions, intervening conditions, action/interaction strategies and consequences based on the central phenomenon of 'difficulty in teaching students with low achievement in science'. Second, the core category of elementary school teachers' teaching underachievers in science was assumed to be 'overcoming difficulties and teaching underachievers in science'. And according to the properties and dimensions of the core category, teachers who teaching students with low achievement in science were divided into four types: 'compromising-', 'overcoming-', 'accepting-', and 'conflicting-reality type'. Third, a conditional matrix was presented to summarize and integrate the results of this study by classifying the teaching experience of elementary school teachers for underachievers in science into educational providers and educational demanders. On the basis of these findings, educational implications for teaching students with low achievement in science were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for morality of education in home economics education. Through research on the state of morality of education, the following criteria can be achieved ; recognition of the importance, and the level of teaching performance regarding the contents of morality education in home economics instruction. The basic data were obtained by looking at the differences between the recognized importance and the level of teaching performance. Data were collected from the survey mailed to the teachers responsible for home economics area in $\lceil$Technology${\cdot}$Home Economics$\rfloor$ in middle schools in Korea. The 335 questionnaires collected were used for final analysis. SPSS/WIN 10.0program was used for calculating and analysis the frequency, percentage, average. standard deviation. Firstly, most of the home economics teachers show that they continually try to implement morality education through each home economics lesson plan. They focus their attention on the main theme of the lesson of a particular nit, that deals with family life. For example, an excerpt from a particular unit may be the 'Understanding of myself and family members'. Most home economics teachers believe that a family setting and/or schools, whether private or public institutions, are appropriate places for productive education. As well, each of these educational settings, should take complete responsibility for teaching morality of education. As a way to activate the morality education, teachers believe that working with the students and understanding the needs of their students, along with the cooperation of parents, are key factors in the teaming process. Another way is the change of teacher's perceptions and educational conditions or environment. Secondly. home economics teachers in middle school. are showing a higher level of understanding on the importance regarding the contents of morality education, which can be noticed through the high level of their teaching performances. Regarding the importance of morality education, the first priority goes to showing respect for parents and the elderly, as well as sexual ethics and respect for life must always be taken into consideration. In regards to the level of teaching performance, the first priority goes to responsibility and co-operation. Secondly. showing respect for parents and the elderly and sexual ethics will be the third. Through data achieved through this study, the majority of home economics education teachers believe that morality education in home economics education is very important and a key factor in their teaching practices.

The purpose of this study was to point out the problems of the competency exam for college education, a new college entrance exam, and to suggest the improvement ideas for it For this purpose, the test items of science inquiry were taken from the first, the second and the third pilot studies of the competency exam for college education which National Institute of Educational Evaluation had done. These tests were administered to 1,223 students of the general high school(422 for the 1st 400 for the 2nd, and 401 for the 3rd test). Also, those students' and the high school science teacher's opinions about the tests and the new college entrance exam were surveyed. The evaluation objectives of those test items were analyzed and the test item analyses were done. The results were as follows; (1) The evaluation objective analysis showed that most of the test The purpose of this study was to point out the problems of the competency exam for college education, a new college entrance exam, and to suggest the improvement ideas for it For this purpose, the test items of science inquiry were taken from the first, the second and the third pilot studies of the competency exam for college education which National Institute of Educational Evaluation had done. Also, those students' and the high school science teacher's opinions about the tests and the new college entrance exam were surveyed. The evaluation objectives of those test items were analyzed and the test item analyses were done. The results were as follows; (1) The evaluation objective analysis showed that most of the test items were constructed based on the evaluation framework which was composed of scientific inquiry thinking ability, science concept, and scientific inquiry context dimensions. But, those items were unevenly distributed into a few areas of the evaluation framework. (2) The boys had higher mean scores than the girls in all of the tests, but these differences were not statistically significant. The natural science course students had significantly higher mean than the humanities course students in all of the test:(1st, F=12.643, p=0.0004 ; 2nd, F=45.757, p=0.0001 ; 3rd, F=36.162, p=0.0001). A significant interaction of sex and course was found in only 1st test( F=11.352. p=0.0008). (3) Most students answered the test was difficult and they needed more time to finish it Also, they added they had to study in a different way from the traditional one in order to prepare the new college entrance exam. Science teachers answered that those evaluation objectives of the tests corresponded well with the educational objectives of high school science and that the tests were suitable as measuring instruments of the scientific thinking abilities. But they pointed out it would be very difficult for them to teach students for preparing the exam under the exsting educational conditions. To carry out successfully the competency exam for college education, the following improvements were suggested. (1) Good evaluation methodology should be developed. (2) In-service science teacher training models on evaluation should be put in force. (3) Effective teaching models and strategies should be developed.(4) The high school science curriculum should be revised.

In this study, we explored the development of scientific model through the social-construction process on "combustion." Students were 8th graders from one middle school class. Each student engaged in small group discussions three times and made a group model on combustion. Discourses between peers and teacher were videotaped, audiotaped, and transcribed. The results show that the small groups constructed an initial concept: 'Conditions of combustion', which they then evaluated and revised the initial concept through combustion experiment. Following the discussions, some small groups evaluated their model and made a revised model. Then, the small groups compared various models and constructed a scientific model through consensus within the small group and as a whole class. Finally, students kept revising their model to 'Burning needs oxygen.' This tells us that the social construction process of scientific model made a meaningful role to build scientific model through diverse discussion between the students and their teacher, although they have had some difficult process to reach the final consensus. The data also showed some group features: the members were open to other's ideas. They analyzed the differences between their own ideas from others and revised their model after the whole class discussion. Lastly, they showed the tendency to make a good use of teacher's guidance. This study implies the importance of having social interaction process for students to understand the scientific model and learn the nature of scientific inquiry in class.

The educational situation, which resulted from the announced self-isolation regime, intensified the forced decisions on the organization of the distance educational process. The study is topical because of the provision of distance learning based on the experience of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. The study was conducted in three stages. Systemic, socio-communicative, competence approaches, sociological methods (questionnaires and interviews) were chosen as methodological tools of the research. The results of a survey of teachers and entrants to higher education institutions on the topic "Using social networks and digital platforms for online classes under the conditions of quarantine restrictions" allowed to scientifically substantiate the need for deeper knowledge of such tools as Google Meet (79%), Zoom (13.78%) and Google Classroom (11.62%), which are preferred by entrants. Almost a third of entrants (34.26%) noted the lack of scientific and methodological support for learning the subjects. The study showed high efficiency of messengers in distance education. The study found that in the process of organizing communication in the student-teacher system, it is necessary to take into account the priority of Telegram on the basis of which it is necessary to implement a chatbot for convenient and effective exchange of information about the educational process. Further research should focus on the effectiveness of the use of Telegram. The effectiveness of using chatbots should also be considered. Chatbots can be used to automate routine components of the learning process.
The purpose of this study were to make clear the actual state of indoor air quality by cooling in private institute classrooms and to analyze influencing factors on indoor air quality. The measurements of physical elements and observations of architectural characteristics and living conditions were carried out in each 1 classroom of 5 private institutes. Measuring elements were indoor temperature, relative humidity, $PM_{10}$, HCHO, CO, and $CO_2$ concentration. As results, the averages of indoor temperature each classroom were $21.7\sim28.1^{\circ}C$. 3 classrooms were lower than the Maintenance standard($26\sim28^{\circ}C$) of School Health Law. The means of relative humidity were 48$\sim$63%, all classrooms were ranged within the standard(30$\sim$80%). The means of $PM_{10}$ concentration were 2.1 $\sim$ 17 $\mu g/m^3$, all classrooms were kept within the standard(100 $\mu g/m^3$). The means of HCHO concentration were 0.02$\sim$0.16 ppm, 2 classrooms were exceed the standard(0.1 ppm). The means of CO concentration were 1.4$\sim$3.6 ppm, all classrooms were kept within the standard(10ppm). The means of $CO_2$ concentration were 1,593$\sim$3,819 ppm, all classrooms were exceed the standard(1,000ppm). The results of analysis on influencing factors of the physical elements are as follow; the air conditioner set of temperature, personal necessities like hair spray, teacher's smoking in corridor, windows and doors opening time, the number of students, and volume of classroom.

The ability to utilize information of learner can do self-directed learning that increases creativity of learner. But in the middle and high schools, if 2009 revision curriculum has to be enforce, the education of information knowledge and literacy is expected to leave the education undone at schools. Therefore the ability of leaners must develop through teaching in all subjects, and so the ability of teachers in the class is very important. We examined the actual conditions about the ability of pre-service and in-service teachers, and analyzed the gap of the ability between in-service and pre-service teachers. The indexes of total ability of in-service and pre-service teachers are shown to be 74.4 points and 50.5 points out of 100. The ability of pre-service teachers is on the level about 68-percent as compared with the ability of in-service teachers. Therefor the education offices of cities and provinces and the teacher training institutes must establish for improvement of the ability of pre-service teachers.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the actual conditions of peer victimization and to examine how the various factors of school climate influence peer victimization. Analysis on the relationship between various school climate and peer victimization has not been yet dealt with in Korea. Participants in this study were middle school students chosen from 11 middle schools in Seoul, by convenience sampling. A total of 1,204 surveys were then analyzed. Methods for analysis included Frequencies, Descriptives, Pearson's Correlation, Hierarchical Regression. From the result of the analysis, the level of verbal violence came out to be a relatively high form of peer victimization. The hierarchical regression were conducted in two steps. The second model's descriptive variable was higher by 19.6% than the first model. The variables of interaction between teacher and student in peer violence(${\beta}=.130$), of school facility maintenance(${\beta}=.067$), of safety of school environment(${\beta}=.331$), and economic status and sex out of controlled variables were proved to be of significance, and those variables explained 23.0% of the entire model. Based on the results of this study, practical and effective policy solutions to improve the school climate better have been suggested.
