  • This study analyzed the effects of ICT technical characteristics of agricultural industry on smart farm entrepreneurial intention by using smart farm effort expectation and smart farm acceptance intention as mediators for smart farm pre-founders. Sub-variables of the technical characteristics of agricultural industry ICT were classified into availability, economics, data convergence and scalability. 349 questionnaires collected from pre-founders living in the country were used for empirical analysis. SPSS v22.0 and Process macro v3.4 were used to analyze the data based on serial multiple mediation model. First, economics and scalability had a positive (+) effect on start-up intention. Second, availability, economics and scalability had a significant effect on effort expectation. Third, effort expectation had a significant positive effect on acceptance intention. Fourth, acceptance intention had a significant positive effect on start-up intention. Fifth, the indirect effects of economics on start-up intention were all significant through effort expectation, through acceptance intention and through both effort expectation and acceptance intention. Sixth, the indirect effect of data convergence on start-up intention was significant through acceptance intention. Seventh, the indirect effect of scalability on start-up intention was significant through effort expectation and through both effort expectation and acceptance intention. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to study for the mediating variables other than mediators introduced in the study or the moderated mediation analysis through the conditional process model in which the moderating variable is introduced.

  • This study aims to determine whether gender moderates the impact of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement among Chinese high school students. Data were collected through an online survey targeting 345 high school students purposively sampled from a high school in Guangdong, China. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The applied statistical methods were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, grit had a significant positive correlation with learning engagement and academic achievement but no significant correlation with gender. Learning engagement showed a positive correlation with gender and academic achievement. Second, gender moderated the effect of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement. In other words, the conditional indirect effect of grit on academic achievement through learning engagement was higher for men than for women. Based on these results, this study proposed ways to utilize grit and learning engagement differently according to gender to improve the academic achievement of high school students.

  • Purpose - Previous studies tried to find antecedents of innovative behavior. However, research on knowledge hiding behavior, psychological mechanism, and perception of organizational justice has been relatively limited. In this sense, this study has investigated the impact of organizational justice on employees' innovative behavior and explored the factors that affect the above relationship. Especially, this study tested the direct effect of organizational justice on innovative behavior. This study also examines the mediating roles of knowledge hiding behavior in this causal relationship. Moreover, the process of organizational justice to innovative behavior is assumed to be influenced by leadership style. Therefore, we examined the moderating effect of authentic leadership on the relationship between organizational justice and knowledge hiding behavior. Design/methodology/approach - For the empirical test, we collected data via a questionnaire survey of a sample of 252 employees from Korean firms. We conducted a hierarchical regression analysis to test hypotheses. Results - The results of the empirical analysis revealed that organizational justice was positively related to innovative behavior and negatively related to knowledge hiding behavior. The results also showed that knowledge hiding behavior negatively mediated the relationship between organizational justice and innovative behavior. In addition, we found the moderating role of authentic leadership. More importantly, we found that the conditional indirect effect of organizational justice on innovative behavior via knowledge hiding behavior was depending on authentic leadership. Uncovering the relationship between organizational justice and innovative behavior through the mediating role of knowledge hiding behavior and the moderated mediating role of authentic leadership has useful theoretical and practical implications. We also suggest directions for future research by providing several limitations.

  • This study sought to propose ways to improve the happiness of Chinese product designers by verifying whether grit moderates the effect of job stress on happiness through professional values. A purposively sampled participants of 335 Chinese product designers living in Guangdong Province, southern China, were selected. Data analysis was performed using SPSS PC+ Win. Ver. 26.0 and PROCESS Macro ver. 4.2. The statistical techniques applied were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and moderated mediation effect analysis. The research results are as follows. First, job stress showed a negative correlation with professional value and grit, but did not show a significant correlation with happiness. Except for job stress, there was a positive significant correlation between other variables. Second, the conditional indirect effect was significant when grit was M-SD, M, or M+SD. M+SD. Therefore, the moderated mediating role of grit was verified. However, as professional value increased, grit played a role in increasing happiness. Still, in the path of job stress -> professional value -> happiness, grit did not buffer the negative effect of job stress on happiness through professional stress. Suggestions were made to improve the happiness of product designers using professional values and grit.

  • Drawing upon research in affect and social identity theory, this study examines when and how an individual's trait positive affect (TPA) exerts a significant effect on the person's organizational citizenship behavior directed toward individuals (OCBI). A moderated mediation model was tested by using the data of 293 employees nested in 66 work groups. Results demonstrate that the indirect effect of TPA on OCBI mediated by group identification (GI) is significantly positive only when perceived group positive affect (PGPA) is low, highlighting the substituting role of PGPA in the relationship between TPA and GI. The significant conditional indirect effects at the low level of PGPA suggest that TPA functions as significant, affective resources for enhancing GI and consequently increasing OCBI of the focal member when PGPA is low. By contrast, TPA's role in enhancing GI becomes redundant when PGPA is high. The current analysis reveals potential complementary functions of TPA and PGPA in explaining subsequent identity cognition and individual behavior.

  • This study recognizes that the externalizing problem behaviors of child with disabilities are the result of the social interaction between mother and child, and empirically verifies its systematic causal structure and multidimensional influence relationship. It was attempted to derive practical implications that can help the smooth normalization process of children's families. Therefore, 135 children with disabilities and their mothers selected by convenience sampling were targeted, and in the relationship between maternal overprotective parenting and externalizing behaviors of child, effortful control was used as a mediating variable, and defense style of mothers and children was used as a moderating variable. A Conditional Process Analysis(CPA) that can verify the moderated mediation Effect was performed by establishing a research model. As a result of the analysis, first, the overprotective parenting behavior of mother was statistically significant in both direct and indirect effects in increasing externalizing behaviors of child, and the mediation effect by effortful control was also statistically significant. Second, it was confirmed that the moderated mediation effect of effortful control by the mother's defense style was statistically significant, and the moderated mediation effect of effortful control by the child's defense style was not statistically significant. Based on the above results, assuming the importance of the influence of maternal parenting, a direct strategy for change in maternal overprotective parenting, child's Practical implications of parallel strategies with the tendency toward effective control and suboptimal strategies through the application of mothers' coping strategies were discussed.

  • This study aimed to confirm the quality of exhibitions and the effectiveness of government's policy support for small and medium-sized companies seeking to help companies expand overseas marketing and improve their performance through participation in overseas exhibitions. For the purpose of empirical analysis, the survey was conducted directly to exhibitors of companies participating in overseas exhibitions with the support of government for three years from 2016 to 2018. As a result, the quality characteristics of overseas exhibitions had a significant positive influence on re-participation intention, and the influence was the most important in organizer's capacity, followed by exhibition reputation and exhibition environment. In addition, quality characteristics had a significant effect on participation performance, and participation performance had a partial mediating effect on re-participation intention. The government's policy support had a significant moderating effect between participation performance and re-participation intention, and the conditional indirect effect (adjusted mediating effect) on the effect of quality characteristics on re-participation intention through participation performance. This study has an academic significance in confirming the mediating effect of participation performance and the moderating effect of government policy support.
