Analyse the Electric field of symmetrical and asymmetrical concentric electrodes

  • The different between two potential voltages can cause the electric field. The electric field is normally distributed along the radius of electrode, and hence it depends on the shape of electrodes. This paper analyses the distribution factor of electric field of symmetrical and asymmetrical concentric electrodes by using Finite Element technique. This allows an analysis the optimum safety clearance distance between two concentric electrodes. The symmetrical concentric electrode refers to Spherical-Spherical concentric electrodes and Cylindrical-Cylindrical concentric electrodes. It must be noted that the symmetrical electrodes are mostly applied for Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) equipments. The asymmetrical electrodes mention to Spherical (inner)-Cylindrical (outer) concentric electrodes and Cylindrical-Cube concentric electrodes, which present as the connection point of High Voltage (HV) cable. The simulations is also complies with the existing standards and regulations in order to ensure the accurate results.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this article is to summarize the characteristics of isotonic combination. Method : Some studies of the motor unit activation patterns during isometric, concentric, and eccentric actions, neural strategies in the control of muscle force, and concentric versus combined concentric-eccentric training were reviewed. Results & Conclusions : Eccentric torque may be relatively higher than concentric torque for two potential reasons: 1) stretch responses in the antagonist are not elicited to restrain the motion as can occur concentrically and 2) stretch responses in the agonist may augment eccentric torque production. Concentric-eccentric training has a greater influence on functional capacity than that of concentric training. Both maximal force and average force throughout the motion were significantly higher when the dynamic action was started with preactivation as compared to the mode without preactivation. The peak torques observed during the concentric phase of the eccentric-concentric muscle actions were higher than those noted in the pure concentric contraction.

Thera-Band를 이용한 단축성 & 신장성 수축 저항 훈련 프로그램이 어깨의 최대 토크와 최대 파워에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Combined Resistance Training Program of Concentric and Eccentric Contraction Using Theraband on Shoulder Rotation Torque Max and Peak Power)

  • 본 연구는 Thera-Band를 이용해 단축성 수축과 신장성 수축이 혼합된 저항운동을 실시하는 것이 단축성 수축 저항 운동만을 실시하는 것보다 근력증진에 더 효과적인지를 알아보고자 하는 논문이다. 연구대상자는 부산광역시 소재 S 대학교에 재학 중인 학생 30명 이었으며, 30명을 무작위로 단축성 수축과 신장성 수축 운동군, 단축성 수축 운동군, 무운동군으로 나누어 4주 동안 운동을 실시하였다. 근력 측정은 등속성 운동기기인 CON-TERX를 이용하였으며, 각속도는 $60^{\circ}$/sec, $120^{\circ}$/sec이었다. 4주 운동 후, 단축성 수축과 신장성 수축 운동군의 경우 각속도 $60^{\circ}$/sec에서 단축성과 신장성 최대 토크와 최대 파워, 각속도 $120^{\circ}$/sec에서 단축성 최대 파워가 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 반면 단축성 수축 운동군은 각속도는 $60^{\circ}$/sec와 $120^{\circ}$/sec의 최대 파워에서만 유의한 증가가 있었다. 반면 무운동군은 변화가 없었다. 따라서 Thera-Band를 이용해 단축성 수축과 신장성 수축이 혼합된 운동을 실시하는 것이 단축성 수축 운동만을 실시하는 것보다 근력증진에 더 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

이중 확산 연소장에서의 오염물질 배출 특성 (Pollutant Emission Characteristics of Double-Concentric Diffusion Flame)

  • The NOx emission characteristics of double-concentric diffusion flames and normal diffusion flames fueled with CH$_4$ were studied. Experimental and numerical investigations were carried out for double-concentric diffusion flame with varying central air flow rate and normal diffusion flame. The Emission indices of NOx(EINOx) were measured by chemiluminescent method and calculated by numerical model based on detailed chemistry. From the comparison between double-concentric diffusion flames and normal diffusion flames, the results show that EINOx of double-concentric diffusion flames are lower than normal diffusion flame, because of Prompt EINOx was decreased. EINOx of double-concentric diffusion flames increase with central air flow rate increasing.

동심형 히트파이프의 열성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Thermal Performance of Concentric Annular Heat Pipes)

  • Concentric annular heat pipes having the length of 200 mm and the outside diameter of 25.4 mm were manufactured and tested. The inside diameters of the heat pipes were 11.3 mm and 8.1 mm and the material of the container was copper. To compare with thermal performances between the concentric annular heat pipe and a copper block with same shape, start-up and isothermal performance were tested. In the result, the start-up of the concentric annular heat pipe was influenced by the start-up of their heat source. The concentric annular heat pipe reached at steady state faster then the same shape of copper block. The maximum wall temperature difference of the concentric annular heat pipe on whole surface was $4.6^{\circ}C$, and the case of the copper block was $16.5^{\circ}C$.

정상 노년층의 동심성 및 편심성 수축 시 대뇌 피질신경원 흥분도 비교 (Comparison of Cerebral Cortical Neuron Excitability of Normal Elderly People during Concentric and Eccentric Contraction)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to analyze the differences in cerebral cortex activity of the elderly after extracting the movement related cortical potentials (MRCPs) from electroencephalogram (EEG) during a concentric and eccentric contraction of the elbow joint flexors, and entering them into the brain-mapping program to make the images. Methods: Right-dominant normal elderly people were divided into an eccentric contraction group and a concentric contraction group. Then, their MRCPs were measured using EEG and sEMG, during an eccentric and concentric contraction. Then, they were converted into images using the brain-mapping program. Results: Eccentric contraction group's $C_3$ and Cz showed statistically higher mean values of MRCP positive potential than the concentric contraction group. Conclusion: Researching a cerebral cortex activity, using MRCP, would provide basic data for clinical neuro-physiological researches on aging or neural plasticity of patients with a central nervous system injury.

  • Purpose - The article views the theoretical basis of adaptation concentric matrix models in the analysis of the financial condition of the organization. Presented the elements counting procedures in the assessment of economic stability. Research design, data, and Methodology - Used the economic indicates in the concentric matrix models. The article views the specific using the concentric matrix models in the analysis of the financial condition of the organization. Results - The concentric matrix models can be adaptation to the analysis of financial conditions of organizations and to the comparative analysis. In the process of analysis of economic stability can be used "a field of efficiency". The classical variant of methods is transformed. The detailed assessment of influence of individual factors defined the additional methods. Conclusions - In the article the methods are demonstrated on the material of organization (Hyundai Elevator Co, China Communications Construction Company).

중심코어를 가지는 저층 철근콘크리트 필로티 건물의 내진성능 (Seismic Performance of Low-rise Piloti RC Buildings with Concentric Core)

  • In this study, the seismic performance of low - rise piloti buildings with concentric core (shear wall) position is analysed and reviewed based on KDS 41. The prototype is selected among the constructed low - rise piloti buildings with concentric core designed based on KBC 2005 which was used for many low - rise piloti buildings construction. The seismic performance of the building shows plastic behavior in X-direction and elastic behavior in Y-direction. The inter-story drift is lager than that of concentric core case and is under the maximum allowed drift ratio. The displacement ratio of first story is much lager the that of upper stories, and the frame structure in the first story is evaluated as vulnerable to lateral force. Therefore, low - rise piloti buildings with concentric core need the diminishment of lateral displacement and reinforcement of lateral resistance capacity in seismic design and seismic retrofit.

  • The role of eccentric muscle activities in functional everyday activities and sport is important and equally significant to concentric conditions. Eccentric and concentric exercise and evaluation are, therefore, very important. The purposes of this study were to measure eccentric md concentric peak torgue, percentage of peak torque, average power and percentage of average power of trunk flexors and extensors by using the Cybex NORM isokinetic dynamometer, and to standardize the value obtained. Thirty four young volunteers were tested, 17 females and 17 males, who had no history of back pain or abnormality. Each subjects were tested on three repetitions for isokinetic concentric and eccentric contraction at 5 velocities. The results were as follows; 1) Peak torque percent body weight of eccentric contraction were significantly greater than concentric contraction at each angular velocity and in trunk flexors and extensors(p<0.01). 2) Peak torque percent body weight of concentric contraction were significantly decreased as the angular velocity increased both male and female(p<0.01). 3) Peak torque percent body weight of eccentric contraction were not significantly changed as the angular velocity increased both male and female(p<0.05), 4) Peak torque percent body weight of male were significantly greater than female at each angular velocity and in concentric and eccentric contraction of trunk flexors and extensors(p<0.01)

기능적 자기공명영상을 이용한 구심성 및 원심성 근 수축에 따른 뇌 활성도 분석 (Comparison of Cortical Activation between Concentric and Eccentric Exercise: A Pilot fMRI Study)

  • Purpose: Behavior and movement are accomplished by voluntary contractions of skeletal muscles. There are three types of muscle contractions: concentric, isometric and eccentric. The aim of our study was to determine whether there is a difference in the cortical activation pattern between concentric contraction and eccentric contraction of the wrist extensor muscle. Methods: Four healthy right-handed volunteers without any previous history of physical or neurological illness were recruited. fMRI scanning was done during 4 repeated blocks of concentric and eccentric exercise of the wrist joint. Subjects exercised for 12 seconds and then rested for 12 seconds before beginning the second set of exercises. To determine the excitability of cortical neurons during exercise, voxel count and intensity index were analyzed. Results: For right hand movements, when concentric contractions of the right wrist were done, only the left primary motor area was activated. In contrast, during eccentric contraction, both the primary motor area and secondary motor area were activated. For left hand movements, both concentric and eccentric contractions induced only the supplementary motor cortex and the contralateral primary motor cortex. Conclusion: During eccentric contractions, both the primary motor area and secondary motor area are activated in ipsilateral and contralateral brain areas. Thus, eccentric contractions require more complex and difficult movements than concentric contractions do.
