이러닝 적용을 위한 뇌파기반 인지부하 측정 (EEG based Cognitive Load Measurement for e-learning Application)

  • 본 연구는 이러닝 체제에서 상호작용을 개선할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 사용자의 생리적 데이터 가운데서 뇌파를 통하여 학습자의 인지부하 발생을 파악할 수 있는 지를 연구하고자 하였다. 뇌파를 통하여 인지부하 발생을 알 수 있게 된다면 실시간 이러닝 체제에서 적절한 피드백 제공에 활용될 수 있기 때문이다. 이를 위하여 EEG를 이용하여 학습자의 뇌파를 측정하면서 인지활동을 수행하는 동안 발생되는 인지부하도를 측정하였고 인지과부하를 판별할 수 있는지를 알아보았다. 뇌파 측정을 위하여 언어 관련 작업기억 능력을 측정할 수 있는 듣기회상과제를 제시하였으며, 실험을 통한 과제 정답률 및 뇌파 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 듣기회상과제의 정답률은 회상반응과제에서 1단계는 84.4%, 2단계는 90.6%, 3단계는 62.5%, 4단계는 56.3%를 보였으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 즉, 3, 4단계의 경우는 피험자들이 매우 어려움을 겪었던 단계로 인지과부하가 발생했을 것으로 보인다. 둘째, SEF-95% 지표는 1, 2단계에 비해 3, 4단계에서 더욱 높은 값을 보였으며, 이는 피험자들의 인지부하가 3, 4단계에서 높았음을 객관적으로 보여주는 근거이다. 셋째, 감마파의 상대파워는 3, 4단계에서 파워값이 급격히 올라가는 패턴을 보였으며, 통계적으로 유의한 5개의 채널(F3, F4, C4, F7, F8)을 확인하였다. 5개의 채널은 뇌의 브로카 영역(F7, F8) 주위에 위치하고 있으며, 특히 뇌맵핑 분석을 통해 확인한 결과, F8(우반구의 브로카 영역에 해당하는 위치)에서 단계별 난이도가 올라갈수록 활성화의 차이가 크게 나타났다. 넷째, 19채널에 대한 상호 상관 분석을 통해 1, 2단계에 비해 3, 4단계에서 비동기화가 증가하였다. 위의 결과를 통한 본 연구의 결론은 뇌파를 이용하여 인간이 인지활동을 수행하는 동안 인지부하도를 측정할 수 있으며, 인지과부하를 판별해 낼 수 있음을 확인하였다.

치과기공사가 인식하는 사회적 지지 척도와 개인역량과의 상관관계 조사 (The Relation between Dental Technician's Social Support and Individual Competency)

  • 본 연구는 치과기공사의 사회적 지지 척도와 개인역량을 분석하고 그 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 서울시, 경기도, 충남지역의 치과기공사 200명을 선정하고 자기 기입식 설문지를 이용하여 2012년 4월 28일부터 5월 25일까지 조사를 실시하였다. 연구도구는 신뢰성과 타당성이 입증된 설문지를 사용하였으며, 대상자의 일반적 특성, 사회적 지지 척도, 개인역량 등 총 55문항으로 작성하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS ver 18.0 프로그램을 이용하였으며, 분석기법으로는 빈도와 백분율, T-test, 분산분석(ANOVA) 등의 통계기법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 연구대상자의 사회적 지지 척도는 결혼 상태와 근무지 항목에서 유의한 차이가 있었으며(p<0.05), 사회적 지지 척도의 평균은 3.33으로 높게 나타났다. 연구대상자의 개인역량을 분석한 결과 연령, 결혼상태, 근무지, 경력, 담당직위, 최종학력 항목에서 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<0.05). 개인역량 평균은 3.68로 높게 나타났다. 연구대상자의 사회적 지지 척도와 개인역량 간 상관관계는 높은 정(+)상관관계를 보였고, 대부분의 변수가 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 치과기공사의 사회적 지지 척도는 개인역량과 관련이 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.

임상간호사의 직무만족정도와 조직몰입에 관한 연구 (A Study on Job Satisfaction Degree and Organizational Commitment of the Clinical Nurses)

  • This study was aimed to be able to dedicate to the quality promotion of nursing of the nurses and the development of hospital organization by investigating interrelations between job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment of the clinical nurses. The objects of this study have been 507 nurses working in university hospital in Seoul and the materials have been collected through structured questionnaires for 14 days from Feb. 23. 1998 through March 8. The materials have been analyzed and computerized statistically with SPSS. General characteristics have been analyzed by practical number and percentage. and job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment have been analyzed by average evaluation marks and standard deviation and the relation between general characteristics and job satisfaction degree and the relation between general characteristics and organizational commitment have been analyzed by t-test or F-test(ANOVA) according to the characteristics of variable. Correlations between job satisfaction degree and organizational commitment have been analyzed by Pearson's Correlation Coefficient. The followings are the summaries of the results of the study: 1. The degree of job satisfaction of the object was 3.26 in average on the basic of 5 marks and worth area showed highest by 3.78 while wage and welfare 2.70 the lowest when analyzed 11 areas. 2. Organizational commitment of the object showed 3.24 in average on the basic of 5 marks. 3. According to the age. marital status. educational background. employment experience. experience in current department. position. types of work. department of work. wage, satisfaction about the current department, whether they wish to be transferred to the other department and whether they are transferred or not. there were significant differences in the characters of job satisfaction degree when general characteristics and job satisfaction degree have been examined. 4. According to the age. marital status. religion. educational background. employment history. position and experience in current department. types of work. department of work. wage. satisfaction about the department they are assigned. whether they wish to be transferred. Whether they are transferred or not and number of being transferred to the other department. there have been significant differences in the characters of organizational commitment when general characteristics and organizational commitment have been examined relatively. 5. Correlations between the degree of job satisfaction and organizational commitment has shown the degree of organizational commitment higher respectively when the degree of job satisfaction was higher. the degree of sanitation factor was higher and the degree of motive factor was higher (r=.73799. r=.6826. r=.6570). 6. The result of the analysis of correlations between organizational commitment and the turnover intension and job related action has shown comparatively high reverse correlations (r=.6375) between organizational commitment and turnover intension and low reverse correlations(r=.3253) between organizational commitment and job related action. Based on the above results. the study of the ways of increasing the degree of satisfaction about wage. welfare. position and stability and the supervision of the senior which showed the low degree of job satisfaction should be conducted and through the management of the degree of job satisfaction which affects to the organizational commitment, I would like to propose that the ways of increasing the sense of commitment to the hospital organization of the nurses should be studied.

Association Between XRCC1 Gene Polymorphisms and Risk of Glioma Development: A Meta-analysis

  • Objective: Previous studies of the association between X-ray cross-complementing group 1 (XRCC1) gene polymorphisms and the gliomas risk have yielded conflicting results, and thus a meta-analysis was performed to provide a more accurate estimation. Methods: A computerized literature search of 5 electronic databases was conducted to identify the relevant studies. Fixed or random effect models were selected based on the heterogeneity test. Publication bias was estimated using Begg's funnel plots and Egger's regression test. Results: A total of 11 studies (3,810 cases and 6,079 controls), 7 studies (2,928 cases and 5,048 controls), and 4 studies (1,461 cases and 2,593 controls) were finally included in the analyses of the association between XRCC1 Arg399Gln, Arg194Trp, and Arg280His polymorphisms and glioma risk, respectively. The pooled results showed that GlnGln carriage was associated with moderately increased risk of gliomas in Asians (GlnGln vs. ArgArg, OR=1.490, 95%CI 1.031-2.153; GlnGln/ArgGln vs. ArgArg, OR=1.321, 95%CI 1.037-1.684), whereas a marginal association was revealed in Caucasians. For the Arg194Trp polymorphism, although a significant association was shown in the homozygous genotype comparisons (TrpTrp vs. ArgArg, OR = 2.209, 95%CI 1.398-2.945), no significant link was found on subgroup analysis stratified by ethnicity. With regard to the Arg280His polymorphism, no significant association was found in each comparison. No particular study was found to significantly influence the pooled results, and no potential publication bias was detected. Conclusions: This meta-analysis suggested that the XRCC1 Arg399Gln polymorphism is moderately associated with increased risk of gliomas in Asians, while Arg194Trp and Arg280His polymorphisms demonstrated no significant influence. Due to the limited studies and the potential confounders, further studies are needed to confirm these results.

간호사 인사관리 제도에 관한 연구 (Performance Appraisal and Job Rotation of the Nurse In a General Hospital)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey evaluation of the nurse on the current Performance Appraisal System. the need for future performance of the nurse and the opinions about the job rotation, and suggest the direction of improvement by obtaining basic data to improve personnel management of the nurse in a hosipial, the subject of the investigation. The study was conducted self-reporting questionniare survey of 330 nurses working at C hospital located in Chonbuk Province and the data was collected from May 4. 1999 through May 14. The research used measuring instrument developed by researcher for evalution about the present performance appraisal. the need for the future performanc appraisal system and the opinion of job rotaion. The analysis of the collected data was computerized using SPSS/PC+ program, calculated frequency, percentage, the mean and standard deviation and used Pearson, s Correlation Coefficients, t-test, chi- square test. Major findings are as follows. 1) As for the purpose of the current performanc appraisal, the appraiser recognized it as a security of promotion standard, while the employee saw it as a means for control as guidance and supervison of work. 2) With regard to use the result of the present performance appraisal, appraiser picked ambiguous appraisal standard, employees recognized unilateral evaluation of superior eliminated the participation of them as the highest priority. 3) In relation to the current criteria for promotion of the nurse, both appraisers and employees placed more weight on the length of clinical than performance appraisal score. 4) There is much possibility of the appraiser making an error to evaluate considering the length of performance appraisal. 5) Both appraisers and employees indicated that prospective result of performance appraisal should be used for the ability development & motivation of the individual. 6) Concerning employee's participation for performance appraisal both sides wanted by far more participation. 7) Regarding the most ideal appraisal method, both parties favored most the way added up the evaluation of the head nurse and peer review and followed by the manner the revaluation of the head nurse by considering self-evaluation. 8) As to the individual interview after the appraisal, more than 60% of appraisers responded it's not necessary, while above 88.5% of employees answered it is essential so that it is showed significantly difference between the appraisers and the employees. 9) As far as open of the evaluation result is concerned. 75% of the appraiser were against it but 80% of the employee were for it so that it showed significantly between them. The most principal reason that the employee want is that it motivates the individual's ability development and the fairness of the appraisal increases. 10) Whether the periodical rotation is necessary or not, 80% of appraisers and employees answered it's necessary, however, over 70% of them did not want the rotation. 11) Work-group Cohesiveness level within the nursing unit was attentive different from desire of the rotation, that is, the work group cohesiveness level of nurses wanting rotation was significantly lower than that of the group not desiring it.

Prediction of Lung Cancer Based on Serum Biomarkers by Gene Expression Programming Methods

  • In diagnosis of lung cancer, rapid distinction between small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) tumors is very important. Serum markers, including lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), C-reactive protein (CRP), carcino-embryonic antigen (CEA), neurone specific enolase (NSE) and Cyfra21-1, are reported to reflect lung cancer characteristics. In this study classification of lung tumors was made based on biomarkers (measured in 120 NSCLC and 60 SCLC patients) by setting up optimal biomarker joint models with a powerful computerized tool - gene expression programming (GEP). GEP is a learning algorithm that combines the advantages of genetic programming (GP) and genetic algorithms (GA). It specifically focuses on relationships between variables in sets of data and then builds models to explain these relationships, and has been successfully used in formula finding and function mining. As a basis for defining a GEP environment for SCLC and NSCLC prediction, three explicit predictive models were constructed. CEA and NSE are requentlyused lung cancer markers in clinical trials, CRP, LDH and Cyfra21-1 have significant meaning in lung cancer, basis on CEA and NSE we set up three GEP models-GEP 1(CEA, NSE, Cyfra21-1), GEP2 (CEA, NSE, LDH), GEP3 (CEA, NSE, CRP). The best classification result of GEP gained when CEA, NSE and Cyfra21-1 were combined: 128 of 135 subjects in the training set and 40 of 45 subjects in the test set were classified correctly, the accuracy rate is 94.8% in training set; on collection of samples for testing, the accuracy rate is 88.9%. With GEP2, the accuracy was significantly decreased by 1.5% and 6.6% in training set and test set, in GEP3 was 0.82% and 4.45% respectively. Serum Cyfra21-1 is a useful and sensitive serum biomarker in discriminating between NSCLC and SCLC. GEP modeling is a promising and excellent tool in diagnosis of lung cancer.

산욕초기 어머니 역할획득을 위한 신생아실 간호사 역할수행에 관한 연구 (Nursery Room Nurses′ Role Performance for Maternal Role Attainment of Mothers at Early Postpartum Period)

  • The early postpartum period is crucial toward in recovery from childbirth and attainment of the maternal role. Maternal role attainment is a complex social and cognitive process of stimulus-response accomplished by learning. Helping for maternal role attainment is one of nursing goals in the early postpartum period. Based on King's conceptual framework for nursing, this study was planned as descriptive correlation study to determine the significant differences of the degree of nursery room nurses' role performance according to several variables of personal, interpersonal, and working system of nurses in nursery room. The purpose of this study was to contribute to the planning of nursing care to help maternal role attainment of the early postpartum period of mothers and to the development of relevant nursing theory. The data were collected from Feb. 3 to 28 by questionnaires with 273 nurses in nursery room. The instruments for this study were consisted of four parts : 21 questions for rot performance of nurse. 37 questions for personal system of nurse including 31 questions for role perception of nurse : 65 questions for interpersonal system including 63 questions for job stress of nurses , 18 questions for working system of nurse. The toos to measure role performance and role perception, and job stress of nurse were tested for internal reliability. Cronbach's Alphas were 0.9612, 0.9058, and 0.9649. The data were analysed by using in S.A.S. computerized program and included percentage, t-test, ANOVA Pearson Correlation Coefficient, and Duncan multiple range test. The conclusions obtained from this study are summerized as follows : 1. The mean score of the items of role performance was 2.12(SD=0.55) in Likert's 4 points scale. 2. The degree of role performance was significantly different according to role perception(p=0.0001), age (p=0.006), educational background(p=0.002) , and certificate of midwife (p=0.03) among variables of personal system of subjects. 3. The degree of role performance was significantly different according to job stress (p=0.0001) and numbers of children(p=0.006) among variables of interpersonal system of subjects. 4. The degree of role performance was significantly different according to having opportunities for baby(p=0.03), the degree of flexibility to bring baby to mother's room(p=0.046), the scope of visitor for baby(p=0.016) , the degree of flexibility of visiting for baby (p=0.049) , the degree of participation of nurse in establishing visiting rules(p=0.017), existence and/or nonexistance of rules for breast feeding(p=0.010) , existence and/or nonexistance of education for breast feeding (p=0.009), existence and/or nonexistance of breast feeding room(p=0.013) , concert methods for breast feeding (p=0.003), working place (p=0.0001), and career(p=0.019) among variables of personal system of subjects.

기본간호학 연구동향 - 기본간호학회지 논문분석을 기반으로 - (The Research Trends in Fundamental Nursing - Based on the Analysis of Journal of Korean Academy of Fundamental Nursing -)

  • Purpose: This study was to analyze the trends and content of all the research (171 research papers) published in the Journal of Fundamentals of Nursing from 1994, when it began to 2000 using an objective tool developed by the researches, and to identify the direction for the future research in Fundamentals of Nursing. Method: Research published in the Journal of Fundamentals of Nursing from 1994 were reviewed. Result: Most of research (94.2%) was non-degree based and funded research was very limited. The average number of researchers per research study was 2.2 and collaborative research has been gradually increasing. The total number of key words was 331 and the average was 2.6 per research. The major key words were not different from other nursing departments and included home care nursing (10 times), health promotion (8 times), self-care (7 times). self-efficacy (7 times), and homo-dialysis (6 times). Eighty seven percent of the research was quantitative research. and there were very few qualitative studies. Considering theory level, it was found that 40% were factor related research For study design, non-experimental studies were most frequent (66%), and the rate, especially of surveys, has remarkably decreased. Selection of subjects by convenience sampling, was most frequent and there were very few studies that provided the rationale for the calculation of sample size. The major subjects of study were patients (44.8%) with various diagnoses. The subjects usually gave oral consent to take part in that study. Giving information (46.9%) and exercise (26.5%) were common nursing interventions, and physiological indices (16.5%). vital signs (10.3%), physical functioning (8.2%), level of knowledge/skill (7.2%) and level of activity (6.2%) were frequently measured as outcome. Variables questionnaires were the major approach used to collect data, and 57.8% of the research provided the Cronbach alpha to guarantee internal consistency of study instruments. Data were analyzed with computerized statistical packages using, ANOVA (42.0%), T test(39.5%), and chi-square test. For the last seven years, nursing research in Fundamentals of Nursing has gradually improved in both quantify and quality. Conclusion: It was difficult to find any uniqueness or difference compared to other departments of nursing. In fact, because the history of the Journal of Fundamentals of Nursing is rather short, we can expect that there will be further improvement in qualify and content in the future.

하지 정렬 평가를 위한 체표면 토포그래피를 이용한 측정법: 새로운 임상 및 연구 도구에 대한 검토 (Surface Topographic Measurement Method for Assessing Lower Extremity Alignment: Examination on a novel clinical and research Tool)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 래스터입체사진술이 적용된 ABW-mapper를 사용하여 얻은 관상면 상에서의 하지 정렬 측정에 대하여 측정자 내, 측정자 간, 측정-재측정 간 각각의 신뢰도와 타당도를 조사하고 평가하는 것이다. 열여덟 명의 대상자가 이 연구에 참여하였다. 일주일간격으로 두 번의 세션에 걸쳐서 두 사람의 측정자가 각각 ABW-mapper를 사용하여 기립자세에서의 S각(입체사진 각-래스터입체사진 촬영을 통해 측정한 관상면상의 하지 정렬 측정 각)을 측정하였고, 첫 번째 세션에서는 짧은 시간 간격으로 한 측정자가 같은 대상자에 대하여 두 번씩 측정하였다. Q각은 디지털카메라로 기립자세를 촬영한 사진에서 고니어미터로 측정하였다. HKA각은 컴퓨터 기반 디지털 방사선 영상사진 위에서 측정 소프트웨어를 사용하여 측정하였다. 급내상관계수(ICC)를 통해 신뢰도를 분석하였고, 피어슨 상관계수를 사용하여 타당도를 검사하였다. 그 결과, S각 측정은 매우 높은 측정자 내 (ICC=0.956~0.974), 측정자 간 (ICC=0.962) 검사-재검사 간 (ICC=0.945) 신뢰도를 나타냈으며, S각과 Q각, S각과 HKA각 사이에는 강한 음의 상관관계(각각 r=-0.739, -0.702)를 나타냈다. 따라서, ABW-mapper에 의한 래스터입체사진법을 통한 S각 측정은 관상면에서의 하지정렬의 측정에 대하여 Q각이나 HKA각 측정에 관련하여 예비적 또는 보완적 도구로 사용될 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.

학령기 아동용 스마트기기를 사용한 기억력 평가과제의 개발 및 타당도 검증 연구 (The Development and Validation of Memory Tasks Using Smart Devices for School Aged Children)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop auditory-verbal and visual-spatial memory tasks using smart devices for children aged 8 to 10 years and examine their validity. Methods: One-hundred and fourteen school-aged children were recruited through internet advertising. We developed memory tasks assessing auditory-verbal memory, visual-spatial memory, and working memory, and then examined their construct validity by examining the developmental trend of the children's mean scores with age. In order to examine the concurrent validity of the tasks, we conducted correlation analyses between the children's scores on the newly developed auditory-verbal, visual-spatial memory and working memory tasks and their scores on well-known standardized tests of memory and working memory, including the auditory-verbal memory subtests of the Korean Luria-Nebraska Neuropsychological Battery for Children, Korean Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure Test, digit span and arithmetic subtest of Korean Educational Development Institute Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children Revised, and Corsi block test. Results: The memory and working memory scores measured by the newly developed tasks tended to increase with age. Further, there were significant correlations between the scores of the four cognitive tasks and the corresponding scores of the standardized assessment tools. Conclusion: This study revealed promising evidence for the validity of the memory tasks using smart devices, suggesting their utility for school-aged children in research and clinical settings.
