In this paper a Korean authoring system is designed to write a CAI courseware in Hangul/English by an author who is a nonprogrammer. It saves nock time in authoring a courseware and maintains high level transplantity among CAI systems. By interfacing ah expert graphic utility, image information can be processed more easily and efficiently. Programming control of the flow of CAI courseware can be ramification and individual learning possible, fitting various demands of learners and learning and learning ability.
The goal of this study is to explore the possibility of applying the podcasting in Korean education for foreign students. To achieve this goal, concepts and applicability of the podcasting is discussed. Previous studies on foreign language education are reviewed and the cases on Korean language education based on technology using mobile phones are investigated. Some of the outstanding merits of the podcasting are found to be its accessibility, mobility and variability along with its room for control by the learners. It also enables the learners to be motivated and to enhance their learning ability. In addition, the podcasting with the content-based instruction is applied for the foreign students majoring in business and its results and implications are discussed. Based on the above results of this study, more active discussions are expected on such issues as educational designs through the podcasting, related variables and the performance evaluation.

This study investigated the influences of group composition in cooperative computer-assisted instruction (CAI) upon students' conceptual understandings, application abilities, learning motivations, and the perceptions of involvement. Seventh graders (N=97) were selected from a co-ed middle school in Seoul, and taught about 'motion of molecules' for 5 class hours. In the two treatment groups with cooperative CAI strategy, homogeneous and heterogeneous small groups were organized by the previous science achievement. Traditional instructions were administered to the comparison group. Two-way ANCOVA results revealed that the scores of the conception test for the treatment groups were significantly higher than those for the comparison group. However, there was no difference between the homogeneous and the heterogeneous groups. The scores of the three groups did not differ significantly in the application test and the learning motivation test. However, the perceptions of involvement for the treatment groups were more positive than those for the comparison group.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a self-directed e-learning program for ICU nurses and to evaluate how the proposed e-learning program affects the level of knowledge, nursing performance and job satisfaction of ICU nurses. Methods: The e-learning program was developed with the Computer Assisted Instruction Design Model using sources of self-efficacy which included the inactive attainment, vicarious experience, and verbal persuasion of ICU nurses. The program was evaluated by experts. Following the revision of the program, it was applied to a total of 59 ICU nurses (experimental group n=29, control group n=30) from three hospitals. Four weeks later, we measured the level of knowledge, nursing performance and job satisfaction. Results: The level of knowledge significantly improved in the experimental group (t=5.691, p<.001). Moreover, the level of nursing performance significantly increased in the areas of circulatory diagnostic test (t=2.143, p=.039), EKG (t=2.911, p=.006), aortic balloon pump (t=2.491, p=.017), and nebulizer therapy (t=2.085, p=.044). Overall, job satisfaction did not significantly increase (t=1.664, p=.105); however, job satisfaction in terms of relationships with coworkers (t=2.371, p=.023) and the needs of nursing performance (t=2.940, p=.006) were significantly increased. Conclusion: The results showed that the proposed e-learning program using sources of self-efficacy from ICU nurses was an effective learning method to increase the level of knowledge and nursing performance. The propose de-learning program would be a useful teaching tool for ICU nurses improving the quality of ICU patient care.
It is necessary to obtain images of high diagnosis worth based on ability and skill of radiological technologist in case of acquisition of medical radiologaphy information. In addition, we need the various kinds of education considering individual radiological technologist variation and the organization of clinical education according to the large amount of learning and more expensive knowledge of radiology. In this paper, we implement CAI system for cervical vertebrae fracture radiograph with multimedia authoring tools on web environments. The CAI system can train a new radiological technologist and study a lot of radiological technologist on the cervical vertebrae fracture radiography acquisition based on more objective and systematical data in radiography room. The proposed CAI system is also expected as a useful program which can help to cure patients based on accurate diagnosis as well as obtain radiography more quickly using a technology of radiography acquisition for cervical vertebrae fracture.
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic made it necessary for medical schools to restructure their curriculum by switching from face-to-face instruction to various forms of flexible learning. Flexible learning is a student-centered approach to learning that has received interest in many educational sectors. It is a critical strategy for expanding access to higher education during the pandemic. As flexible learning includes online, blended, hybrid, and hyflex learning options, learners have the opportunity to select an instruction modality based on their needs and interests. The shift to flexible learning in medical education took place rapidly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and learners, instructors, and schools were not prepared for this instructional change. Through the lens of the technology acceptance model, human agency, and a social constructivist perspective, I examine students, instructors, and educational institutions' roles in successfully navigating the digital transformation era. The pandemic has also accelerated the use of advanced information and communication technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, in learning. Through a review of the literature, this paper aimed to reflect on current flexible learning practices from the instructional design and educational technology perspective and explore emerging technologies that may be implemented in future medical education.
The purpose of this study was to explore children and robot interaction in distant language learning environments using three different video-conferencing technologies-two traditional screen-based videoconference technologies and a telepresence robot. One American and six Korean elementary school students participated in our case study. We relied on narratives of one-on-one interviews and observation of nonverbal cues in robot assisted language learning. Our findings suggest that participants responded more positively to interactions via a telepresence robot than to two screen-based video-conferencings, with many citing a stronger sense of immediacy during robot-mediated communications.
In mathematics education, teaching-learning activity can be divided largely into the understanding the mathematical concepts, derivation of principles and laws, acquirement of the mathematical abilities. We utilize various media, teaching tools, audio-visual materials, manufacturing materials for understanding mathematical concepts. But sometimes we cannot define or explain correctly the concepts as well as the derivation of principles and laws by these materials. In order to solve the problem we can use the computer. In this paper, character and movement state of various quadratic function graph types can be used. Using the computers is more visible than other educational instruments like blackboards, O.H.Ps., etc. Then, students understand the mathematical concepts and the correct quadratic function graph correctly. Consquently more effective teaching-learning activity can be done. Usage of computers is the best method for improving the mathematical abilities because computers have functions of the immediate reaction, operation, reference and deduction. One of the important characters of mathematics is accuracy, so we use computers for improving mathematical abilities. This paper is about the program focused on the part of "the quadratic function graph", which exists in mathematical curriculum the middle school. When this program is used for students, it is expected the following educational effect. 1, Students will have positive thought by arousing interests of learning because this program is composed of pictures, animations with effectiveness of sound. 2. This program will cause students to form the mathematical concepts correctly. 3. By visualizing the process of drawing the quadratic function graph, students understand the quadratic function graph structually. 4. Through the feedback, the recognition ability of the trigonometric function can be improved. 5. It is possible to change the teacher-centered instruction into the student-centered instruction. For the purpose of increasing the efficiencies and qualities of mathmatics education, we have to seek the various learning-teaching methods. But considering that no computer can replace the teacher′s role, tearchers have to use the CIA program carefully.

One of the important characters of mathematics is accuracy, so we use computers for improving mathematical abilities. This paper is about the program focused on the part of "the application of definite integral", which exists in mathematical curriculum the second and third grade of high school. When this study is used for students as assisting materials, it is expected the following educational effect. 1. Students will have precise concepts because they can understand what they learn intuitively. 2. Students will have positive thought by arousing interests of learning because this program is composed of pictures, animations with effectiveness of sound. 3. It is possible to change the teacher-centered instruction into the student-centered instruction. 4. Students will understand the relation between velocity and distance correctly because they can see the process of getting the length of curve by vector through the monitor. For the purpose of increasing the efficiencies and qualities of mathematics education, we have to seek the various learning-teaching methods.
