  • As computers are recognized as essential tools for our life and society, the use of computers has become increasingly important in education. The propose of this study is to grasp the level of students' understanding on basic terms used in computer textbooks for $4th{\sim}6th$ graders in Chungbuk and to investigate the existence of differences in students' understanding according to personal variables. The result of this study indicates that the level of students' understanding on basic terms in computer textbooks is very low. Also significant differences are found in students' understanding of terms according to location, grade, the possession of computers, computer-related learning experiences, instructional methods used in computer classes, interest in computer classes, participation level in computer classes and grade level.

  • Virtual university can easily study the lecture only press the couple of mouse click or keyboard button anywhere and anytime, if you have a computer. Many people believe that virtual university, can save time and improve learning. To check how many students learn which selected some of virtual university courses, instructor must knows how to the understanding students and find out their difficult problems. Without checking this condition, it will be a very difficult and boring virtual university course. In this paper, we introduce the intelligent learning system. It has a full duplex direction that teachs understanding students and not understanding student. The computer simulation results confirms that full duplex virtual learning system has been proven to be much more efficient than one way direction which unfortunately does not consider to understanding problems.

  • In this paper, we propose an well-organized lecture note for giving a better understanding on the Internet of Things (IoT) to people including non-computer majors without computing and communication knowledge. In recent years, the term 'IoT' has been popularized, and IoT will make a huge impact on our industries, societies, and environments. Although there are large amount of literature on presenting IoT from technological perspectives, few are published that are organized for teaching students having non-computer-related majors. Based on research and education experiences on IoT, we tried to make a lecture note focusing on the process of collecting data from everyday objects, transmitting and sharing data, and utilizing data to create new values for us. The proposed lecture note was employed in teaching a liberal arts class, and it was shown that students could have an understanding of what IoT really means and how IoT could change our world.

  • We propose a multi-strategic concept-spotting approach for robust spoken language understanding of conversational Korean in a hostile recognition environment such as in-car navigation and telebanking services. Our concept-spotting method adopts a partial semantic understanding strategy within a given specific domain since the method tries to directly extract predefined meaning representation slot values from spoken language inputs. In spite of partial understanding, we can efficiently acquire the necessary information to compose interesting applications because the meaning representation slots are properly designed for specific domain-oriented understanding tasks. We also propose a multi-strategic method based on this concept-spotting approach such as a voting method. We present experiments conducted to verify the feasibility of these methods using a variety of spoken Korean data.

  • With the more sophisticated abilities development of video, object motion analysis and interpretation has become the fundamental task for the computer vision understanding. For that understanding, firstly, we seek a sum of absolute difference algorithm to apply to the motion detection, which was based on the scene. Then we will focus on the moving objects representation in the scene using spatio-temporal relations. The video can be explained comprehensively from the both aspects : moving objects relations and video events intervals.

  • Recently, research in blockchain technology has grown in popularity. Most of these researches have pointed out designing and improving conceptual structures to create digital systems that are more secure, accessible, and effective. Although blockchain offers a wide range of advantages, it also has some pitfalls. This research aims to present an understanding of the properties of blockchain, the advantages, pitfalls, and applications based on blockchain technology. To achieve the goal of understanding blockchain technology concepts, a systematic literature review approach was introduced. 93 papers were chosen and reviewed in total. Therefore, this research provides a summary of recent studies that have been published in the field of blockchain. Moreover, we have created concept maps and tables that aid in a deep understanding of blockchain technology concepts and exhibit some of the blockchain applications. In blockchain-based applications, we focused on two areas, namely the Internet of Things (IoT) and healthcare.

  • In this study, we showed understanding and production ability of the interface about internet, operating system, contents, and devices. This study aimed to make a list of 18 items in 4 areas for basic knowledge of UI/UX, establishment of design research, design concept, and design production for 22 sophomore, junior and senior students in IT departments, and the results of understanding were divided into three groups of excellent, normal, and insufficient, and evaluated. It was found that excellent was 18.39%, average was 38.52% and insufficient was 43.07%. Therefore, 18.39% of the students understood UI/UX, and 81.61% of students did not understand UI/UX well. In particular, in the comparison analysis of four areas, the design research area was 44 points, the design content area was 29 points, and the design production area was 11 points which was found to be the lowest. Next, the 10 evaluation items in the mobile UI/UX build guide evaluation were evaluated in the same way as the UI/UX understanding, and the excellent score was 3 points, the average score was 73.3 points, and the poor score was 155 points. The UI/UX build guides showed worse evaluation than UI/UX understanding. Therefore, to cultivate UI/UX understanding and content production ability, UI/UX experts should be fostered with professional course organization and systematic curriculum.
