  • The purpose of this study is a development of $teaching{\cdot}learning$ program based on interior design WBI. WBI's meaning is Web Based Instruction. There can be several procedures that should be designed at the first step: Analyzing, Designing, Building, Testing, Recycling. These stages are constructed based on the theory of procedure about the computer and the $teaching{\cdot}learning$. Each stage is presented the contents of development, the contents of main, the method advantages and problem solving. These procedures and contents of development are the research method simultaneously with the result. Upon the completion of the system, it should undergo the same process continuously so that it can improve over a period of time, contribute to the interior design of students. In addition continuously repetitive requirements pop up in the phase. And it is necessary for this program try to map out a strategy developing and a policy support from university. It's very important that develop the contents of interior design from professor, students and field professor.

  • This is a study on an instruction of estimation for error correction in the calculation with a computer or a calculator. The aim of this study is to survey a new aspect of calaulation teaching and the teaching strategy of estimation and finally to frame a new curriculum model of estimation instruction. This research required a year and the outcomes of the research can be listed as follows: 1. Social utilities of estimation were made clear, and a new trend of calculation teaching related to estimation instruction was shown. 2. The definition of estimation was given and actual examples of conducting an estimation among pupils in lower grades were given for them to have abundant experiences. 3. The ways of finding estimating values in fraction and decimal fraction were presented for the pupils to be able to conduct an estimation. 4. The following contents were given as a basic strategy for estimation. 1) Front-end strategy 2) Clustering strategy 3) Rounding strategy 4) Compatible numbers strategy 5) Special numbers strategy 5. In an instuction of estimation the meaning, method. and process of calculation and calculating algorithm were reviewed for the cultivation of children's creativity through promoting their basic skill, mathematical thinking and problem-solving ability. 6. The following contents were also covered as an estimation strategy for measurement 1) Calculating the sense of quantity on the size of unit. 2) Estimating the total quantity by frequent repetition of unit quantity. 3) Estimating the length and the volume by weighing. 4) Estimating unknown quantity based on the quatity already known. 5) Estimating the area by means of equivalent area transformation. 7. The ways of instructing mental computation were presented. 8. Reviews were made on the curricular and the textbook contents concerning estimation instructions both in Korea and Japan. and a new model of curriculum was devised with reference to estimation instruction data of the United States.

Effectiveness of Asynchronous Learning Networks in Teaching as a Supplement to Classroom Teaching: A Study from Perspective of Lecturers in National University of Singapore

  • Asynchronous Learning Networks (ALN) has become a kind of prevalent information systems to supplement or even substitute a traditional classroom face-to-face teaching method. In this paper, we investigate the impacts of types of courses, lecturers' instruction models and computer self-efficacy on the ALN effectiveness in teaching from lecturers' perspective. We conducted survey to professors in various faculties such as School of Computing, Faculty of Arts, Science, Business, Law and Engineering in the National University of Singapore. According to the responses from ninety-eight professors, instruction modes positively influence the usage of ALN; types of course and lecturers' computer-efficacy influence lectures' satisfaction of ALN in teaching. Both the usage of ALN and satisfaction of ALN positively influence the effectiveness of ALN. The results of this study fill the gap of ALN researches in education by examining it from lecturers' perspective and enable schools to improve their implementation of ALN systems based on our findings.

  • This paper implements H.263 codec using SIMD(single instruction multiple data) method in real time based on PC. This system uses INS algorithm previously proposed by the authors as motion estimation module. SIMD method is used in DCT, IDCT, quantization, motion estimation, and display module. The developed algorithms are implemented using TMN5. Using the above algorithm, H.263 Codec can communicate more than 15 frames/sec in CIF resolution on a Pentium-IV 1.7GHz computer.

  • 컴퓨터와 다양한 매체의 발달에 따라다양한 학습 방법이 제시되고 있다. 그중 e-learning등의 방법에 의해 다양한 분야에서 많은 강의가 이루어지고 있다. 수학 교육에서도 컴퓨터 대수 시스템인 Mathematica와 Maple, Matlab등 많은 응용 소프트웨어를 이용한 강의가 이루어지고 있다. 컴퓨터를 이용한 수학 교육 시 나타나는 문제에 대해서 많은 수학 교육학자 사이에 논쟁이 되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 이용한 학습자와 기존 판서 학습자 사이의 수학 이론의 이해도와 이론의 응용력에 대한 차이가 있는지 임의의 학생을 표본 추출 후 각각의 방법에 의한 수학의 정적분 분야에 대한 교육 후 시험을 실시 후 통계 분석을 통하여 컴퓨터에 의한 수학 교육시의 문제점을 알아보고, 적절한 컴퓨터 교육의 방향을 제시 하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 웹기반 교수 시스템을 이용하는 학습자의 지식 수준을 지능적으로 진단하기 위하여 문항 반응을 이용한 진단 모듈의 설계와 구현에 관하여 다룬다. 문항 반응 이론은 기존의 학습자 검사 방법처럼 전체 문항에서 정답 문항의 총점에 근거를 두고 학습자를 진단하는 것이 아니라 문항 하나 하나에 근거를 두고 학습자의 지식 수준을 검사하는 것이다. 기존의 웹기반 교수 시스템의 경우 학습자의 지식 수준은 고려하지 않고 검사의 총점 결과만을 가지고 진단한 뒤 그 결과를 토대로 이분법적인 학습을 진행하는 오류를 범하고 있다. 이는 학습자의 올바른 진단이 될 수 없으며 학습자 모델을 구성하기가 어려워 진보한 지능형 교수 학습 시스템에 적용하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존에 연구된 문항 반응 이론을 수학 학습에 응용하여 학습자의 지식 수준을 진단하기 위한 학습자 진단 모듈의 설계 및 구현에 대한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

Computer Assisted Instruction 성교육과 강의식 성교육이 여중생의 성지식과 성태도에 미치는 효과비교 (A Comparative Study on the Effects of Sex Education between Computer Assisted Instruction and Lecture: Focused on Middle School Female Students)

  • Objectives: The propose of this study was to compare the effects of sex education methods between CAI and Lecture on to improve sex related knowledge and attitudes of middle school female students. Methods: The subjects were selected from one of the Kyoungbuk province's girls middle school. Out of 9 classes of first grade, 2 classes were selected as experimental group and 2 classes were selected as control group. This research was conducted from September 1st to October 1st, 2004. 8 lessons of CAI sex education program was given to experimental group and 8 lessons of sex education lectures was given to control group. To measure the level of sex related knowledge and attitudes of the subjects, the researcher used the modified Kye's, Sung's and Jung's sex related knowledge and attitudes scale. SPSS/Win 10.0 program was used to analyse the data along with Frequency, Percentage, $x^2$-test, t-test, and paired t-test. Results: 1. Sex related knowledge score in the experimental group educated by CAI program will be different from the control group using lecture education(t=3.49, p=0.001). 2. Sex related attitudes score in the experimental group educated by CAI will be different from the control group using lecture education(t=2.94, p=0.004). Conclusions: From the above results, CAI sex education program showed as more effective than lecture method to improve sex related knowledge and attitudes.

중학교 수학과 CAI 프로그램 개발 연구 -이차함수의 그래프를 중심으로- (A Study on the Development of Computer Assisted Instruction for the Middle School Mathematics Education - Focused on the graph of quadratic function -)

  • In mathematics education, teaching-learning activity can be divided largely into the understanding the mathematical concepts, derivation of principles and laws, acquirement of the mathematical abilities. We utilize various media, teaching tools, audio-visual materials, manufacturing materials for understanding mathematical concepts. But sometimes we cannot define or explain correctly the concepts as well as the derivation of principles and laws by these materials. In order to solve the problem we can use the computer. In this paper, character and movement state of various quadratic function graph types can be used. Using the computers is more visible than other educational instruments like blackboards, O.H.Ps., etc. Then, students understand the mathematical concepts and the correct quadratic function graph correctly. Consquently more effective teaching-learning activity can be done. Usage of computers is the best method for improving the mathematical abilities because computers have functions of the immediate reaction, operation, reference and deduction. One of the important characters of mathematics is accuracy, so we use computers for improving mathematical abilities. This paper is about the program focused on the part of "the quadratic function graph", which exists in mathematical curriculum the middle school. When this program is used for students, it is expected the following educational effect. 1, Students will have positive thought by arousing interests of learning because this program is composed of pictures, animations with effectiveness of sound. 2. This program will cause students to form the mathematical concepts correctly. 3. By visualizing the process of drawing the quadratic function graph, students understand the quadratic function graph structually. 4. Through the feedback, the recognition ability of the trigonometric function can be improved. 5. It is possible to change the teacher-centered instruction into the student-centered instruction. For the purpose of increasing the efficiencies and qualities of mathmatics education, we have to seek the various learning-teaching methods. But considering that no computer can replace the teacher′s role, tearchers have to use the CIA program carefully.

고등학교 수학과 교육을 위한 CAI 프로그램 개발 연구 - 정적분을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Development of Computer Assisted Instruction for the High School Mathematics Education)

Consequently more effective teaching-learning activity can be done. Usage of computers is the best method for improving the mathematical abilities because computers have functions of the immediate reaction, operation, reference and deduction. One of the important characters of mathematics is accuracy, so we use computers for improving mathematical abilities. This paper is about the program focused on the part of "the application of definite integral", which exists in mathematical curriculum the second and third grade of high school. When this study is used for students as assisting materials, it is expected the following educational effect. 1. Students will have precise concepts because they can understand what they learn intuitively. 2. Students will have positive thought by arousing interests of learning because this program is composed of pictures, animations with effectiveness of sound. 3. It is possible to change the teacher-centered instruction into the student-centered instruction. 4. Students will understand the relation between velocity and distance correctly because they can see the process of getting the length of curve by vector through the monitor. For the purpose of increasing the efficiencies and qualities of mathematics education, we have to seek the various learning-teaching methods. But considering that no computer can replace the teacher′s role, teachers have to use the CIA program carefully.

  • 21세기를 주도할 자율적이고 창의적인 한국인 육성은 개정된 교육과정에서 강조하는 기본방향이다. 중등음악교육에서는 학습자의 시각과 청각을 함께 자극하고 창의적으로 활용할 수 있는 컴퓨터 음악프로그램이 교수 학습에 효과적인 매체라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 음악프로그램의 기능을 살펴보고, 그것을 음악수업에서 창의적인 학습활동으로 연계할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 또한 음악활동 영역별로 그 적용방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 사보프로그램인 Finale 2010과 이미지 및 동영상 편집도구로 Window MovieMaker, 그리고 소리편집의 Goldwave를 사용을 중심으로 학생들의 창의적인 학습활동 방안을 제시하였다.
