Design and Implementation of Web Interface for Internet management System Using SNMP MIB-II (SNMP MIB-II를 이용한 인터넷 관리 시스템의 웹 인터페이스 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper is aimed at defining items of analysis using SNMP MIB-II for the purpose of managing the Internet based network running on TCP/IP protocol, and then utilize these items, in conjunction with various Web technology and JAVA to design and implement a Web based interface of a management system to analyze the performance and status of the Internet. Among the required items in order to accomplish this task are utilization, interface packet transmission rate, I/O traffic ratio, and so on. Based on these items, the actual analysis is carried out by the Web interface according to the type of analysis. For instance, the interface executes the function of real-time analysis, collection processing, elementary analysis and detailed analysis. The demand of the user is fed into the Web interface which carried out a real-time analysis with the client system which in turn will eventually produce the results of the analysis. In order words, the interface acts as a mediator server for the analysis system. Furthermore, a protocol for exchange of data and messages between the server and the analysis system, the MATP protocol, was also designed. Finally, the results obtained through the system presented in this paper were displayed on screen according to the type of analysis. The system realized in this paper uses We technology and is independent of platform and allows the user to determine the performance of Internet at his/her own host according to the selected items of analysis.

  • The software-based satellite simulator has been developed from the start of the project to resolve the restriction and limitation of using hardware-based software development platform. It enables the development of flight software to be performed continuously since initial phase. The satellite simulator emulates the on-board computer, I/O modules, electronics and payloads, and it can be easily adapted and changed on hardware configuration change. It supports the debugging and test facilities for software engineers to develop flight software. Also the flight software can be loaded without any modification and can be executed as faster than real-time. This paper presents the architecture and design of software-based GEO satellite simulator which has hot-standby redundancy mechanism, and flight software development and test under this environment.

A Real-time Copper Foil Inspection System using Multi-thread (다중 스레드를 이용한 실시간 동판 검사 시스템)

  • The copper foil surface inspection system is necessary for the factory automation and product quality. The developed system is composed of the high speed line scan camera, the image capture board and the processing computer. For the system resource utilization and real-time processing, multi-threaded architecture is introduced. There are one image capture thread, 2 or more defect detection threads, and one defect communication thread. To process the high-speed input image data, the I/O overlap is used through the double buffering. The defect is first detected by the predetermined threshold. To cope with the light irregularity, the compensation process is applied. After defect detection, defect type is classified with the defect width, eigenvalue ratio of the defect covariance matrix and gray level of defect. In experiment, for high-speed input image data, real-time processing is possible with multi -threaded architecture, and the 89.4% of the total 141 defects correctly classified.

  • This paper describes about the vision system, which was developed for the recognition of material management characters in the slab processing line. The material management characters, which are marked at the surface of a slab, are recognized by real time processing before slab moves to the next hot strip line. The vision system for the character recognition include that CCD camera system which acquire slab image, image transmission system which transmit captured image to the long distance, I/O devices for the interface with peripheral control system. We have installed vision system to the slab processing line and tested. Through the testing, we have checked durability, reliability and recognition rate of our system. In the results, we have confirmed that our system have good performance and higher recognition ability.

Determination of Reserved Channel Capacity for Popular Videos in Video-on-Demand Systems (주문형 비디오 시스템에서 인기 비디오를 위한 예약 채널 용량의 결정)

  • Video-on-Demand (VOD) service needs high resource consumption because of high bandwidth and long playback duration which are characteristics of multimedia. Various techniques such as Patching and Channel-Reserving Patching have been proposed to reduce the demand on the network-I/O bandwidth. Patching allows new clients to join an existing multicast for realization of true VOD, and Channel-Reserving Patching reserves the part of total channel capacity of video server in order to serve the requests for popular videos on which requests of users concentrate. To improve the performance of Channel-Reserving Patching, we propose the method that determines the reserved channel capacity of video server for the popular videos in this paper. The performance of our method is evaluated in terms of average servile latency, defection ratio and fairness through simulation, and is compared with those of Patching and another Channel-Reserving Patching.

Optical and Electrical Properties of InAs Sub-Monolayer Quantum Dot Solar Cell

  • 본 연구에서는 분자선 에피택시 (MBE)법으로 성장된 InAs submonolayer quantum dot (SML-QD)을 태양전지에 응용하여 광학 및 전기적 특성을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 양자점 태양전지(quantum dot solar cell, QDSC)의 구조는 n+-GaAs 기판 위에 n+-GaAs buffer와 n-GaAs base layer를 차례로 성장 한 후, 활성영역에 InAs/InGaAs SML-QD와 n-GaAs spacer layer를 8주기 형성하였다. 그 위에 p+-GaAs emitter, p+-AlGaAs window layer를 성장하고 ohmic contact을 위하여 p+-GaAs 를 성장하였다. SML-QD 구조의 두께는 0.3 ML 이며, 이때 SML-QD의 적층수를 4 stacks 으로 고정하였다. SML-QD 와의 비교를 위하여 2.0 ML크기의 InAs자발 형성 양자점 태양전지(SK-QDSC)과 GaAs 단일 접합 태양전지 (reference-SC)를 동일한 성장조건에서 제작하였다. PL 측정 결과, 300 K에서 SML-QD의 발광 피크는 SK-QD 보다 고에너지에서 나타나는데(1.349 eV), 이것은 SML-QD가 SK-QD보다 작은 크기를 가지기 때문으로 사료된다. SML-QD는 single peak를 보이는 반면, SK-QD는 dual peaks (1.112 / 1.056 eV)을 확인하였다. SML-QD의 반치폭(full width at half maximum, FWHM)이 SK-QD에 비하여 작은 것으로 보아 SML-QD가 SK-QD보다 양자점 크기 분포의 균일도가 높은 것으로 해석된다. Illumination I-V 측정 결과, SML-QDSC의 개방 전압(VOC) 과 단락전류밀도(JSC)는 SK-QDSC의 값과 비교해 보면, 각각 47 mV와 0.88 mA/cm2만큼 증가하였다. 이는 SK-QD보다 상대적으로 작은 크기를 가진 SML-QD로 인해 VOC가 증가되었으며, SML-QD가 SK-QD 보다 태양광을 흡수할 수 있는 영역이 비교적 적지만, QD내에 존재하는 energy level에서 탈출 할 수 있는 확률이 더 높음으로써 JSC가 증가한 것으로 분석 된다.

The Dosimetry of Radiosurgery using of Rando Phantom (Rando phantom을 이용한 Radiosurgery에 관한 Dosimetry)

  • The stereotactic radiosurgery using ionizing radiation of high energy is a technique for exadicating intracranial small tumors, which are inaccessible or unsuitable for open surgical technique. For such a small field radiosurgery. TLD or film dosimetry is essential. The three dimensional dose planning of radiosurgery was performed with dose planning computer system (Therac 2300). The target dose distribution and its error according to patient position were discussed. And were measured of circular cone which specially designed in our Hospital. The position error of Rando Phantom compared with CT were O.4mm in the AP-LAT section and in the AP-VERT section, 1.0mm in the AP-VERT $45^{\circ}$section. The ratio of accuracy of the gantry and couch rotation were 1.5mm diamteter for centeral axis of I8MeV linear accelerator. Our study suggested that radiosurgery of small field in our department will be appropriate for clinical application.

End-to-End Resource Management Techniques for Supporting Real-time Tasks in Mobile Devices (모바일 기기의 실시간 작업 지원을 위한 종단간 자원 관리 기술)

  • With the recent performance improvement of mobile devices as well as the emergence of various applications, not only interactive tasks but also real-time tasks are rapidly increasing. As real-time tasks have deadline requirements, resource management policies used in the conventional time-sharing systems have limitations in satisfying real-time constraints. In this paper, we examine how to efficiently manage resources while satisfying the constraints of real-time tasks through end-to-end resource management of CPU, memory, and storage when interactive and real-time tasks are executed concurrently on a mobile device. Instead of suggesting complicated resource management policies, we focus on examining the basic concepts necessary for each resource management. Specifically, we first look at basic policies such as assigning dedicated CPU cores for real-time tasks, allocating a certain working set of real-time tasks in memory, and using fast storage without context switch in I/O. We then consider how these basic policies can be adopted efficiently.

An Efficient Metadata Journaling Scheme for In-memory File Systems (인메모리 파일시스템을 위한 효율적인 메타데이터 저널링 기법)

  • Journaling techniques are widely used to maintain a consistent file system state in the event of a system crash. As existing journaling techniques are designed for block storage such as HDDs, they are not efficient for byte-addressable persistent memory media. This paper proposes a metadata journaling technique for in-memory file systems that has the ability of avoiding inconsistent file system states in crash situations. The proposed journaling technique reduces a large amount of writing by making use of the byte-addressable feature of memory media and bypasses heavy software I/O stack. Experimental results with the IOzone benchmark show that the proposed journaling technique improves the performance of Ext4 by 49.2% on average.

Implications for Memory Reference Analysis and System Design to Execute AI Workloads in Personal Mobile Environments (개인용 모바일 환경의 AI 워크로드 수행을 위한 메모리 참조 분석 및 시스템 설계 방안)

  • Recently, mobile apps that utilize AI technologies are increasing. In the personal mobile environment, performance degradation may occur during the training phase of large AI workload due to limitations in memory capacity. In this paper, we extract memory reference traces of AI workloads and analyze their characteristics. From this analysis, we observe that AI workloads can cause frequent storage access due to weak temporal locality and irregular popularity bias during memory write operations, which can degrade the performance of mobile devices. Based on this observation, we discuss ways to efficiently manage memory write operations of AI workloads using persistent memory-based swap devices. Through simulation experiments, we show that the system architecture proposed in this paper can improve the I/O time of mobile systems by more than 80%.
