압축기출구에 공기분사가 터보과급 디젤기관의 성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Injected Air into the Compressor Exit for the Performances of a Turbocharged Diesel Engine)

  • For the purpose of improving performances of a turbocharged diesel engine at low speed, this study investigates the effects of the injected air for the performances and flow characteristics in the intake and exhaust pipes by using the computer simulation with test bed. In the theoretical analysis, the whole flow system, including engine cylinders and intake and exhaust pipes, is calculated numerically by the method of filling and emptying. From the results of this study, the following conclusions may be summarized. Increasing injected air pressure into the pipe of compressor exit brings about the improvement in a performance and flow characteristics of intake and exhaust pipes under full load operating conditions at 1000 rpm of the engine speed, but shows trends of the inferior performances under no load operating conditions at 2000 rpm of the engine speed.

  • Sound intensity method is well known as a visualization technique of sound field and sound propagation in noise control. Sound intensity is a vector quantity that describes the magnitude and the direction of net flow of acoustic energy at a given position. The current measuring method is expensive and difficult to identify the noise source exactly. In this paper, we have studied the noise source identification and the characteristics of noise source of rotary compressor for air conditioner using complex sound intensity method. The new method for instantaneous sound intensity is also proposed and it is useful for transient state and steady state. The criteria of these states select auto correlation coefficient. The advantage, simplicity and economic attribution of this method are verified by analyzing the characteristics of noise source with instantaneous sound intensity compared to mean sound intensity.

  • A free piston and free displacer (FPFD) Stirling cryocooler has been widely used for the cooling infrared and cryo-sensor. The thermodynamic performance of the free piston and free displacer type (FPFD) Stirling cryocooler is highly dependent on the operating frequency of the linear compressor and the natural frequency of the displacer. In this study, to find optimal relation between operating and natural frequency of the displacer the dynamic characteristics of the displacer in the expansion space of the Stirling cooler was investigated by experiment. The experimental results show that the Stifling cryocooler has maximum cooling capacity at the operating frequency of about 0.8 times of the natural frequency of displacer. Therefore the operating frequency of the Stirring cryocooler should be determined by natural frequency of the linear compressor and displacer.

단축적법의 개선에 의한 축류압축기의 효과적인 성능예측 (Effective Performance Prediction of Axial Flow Compressors Using a Modified Stage-Stacking Method)

  • In this work, a modified stage-stacking method for the performance prediction of multi-stage axial flow compressors is proposed. The method is based on a simultaneous calculation of all interstage variables (temperature, pressure, flow velocity) instead of the conventional sequential stage-by-stage scheme. The method is also very useful in simulating the effect of changing angles of the inlet guide vane and stator vanes on the compressor operating characteristics. Generalized stage performance curves are used in presenting the performance characteristics of each stage. General assumptions enable determination of flow path data and stage design performance. Performance of various real compressors is predicted and comparison between prediction and field data validates the usefulness of the present method.

  • The object of this research is limited to the reduction of compression process noise only among the main sources of compressor noise such as motor noise, compression process noise, and valve port flow noise. Thus the research is focused on the wave motion rather than the particle motion of sound wave travels. A muffler is a commonly used device to reduce the compression process noise, generated by the pressure pulsations caused by the cyclic compression process. In this research, the acoustic characteristics of the muffler are analyzed by using the normal gradient integral equation proposed by Wu and Wan. Moreover, a commercial code SYSNOISE developed by indirect variational boundary integral equation is also used to validate the results. For the noise reduction, the topology optimization technique using a genetic algorithm is used. The number, size and position of the muffler holes are considered as design variables. Compared with original design, the optimized design has very improved acoustic characteristics. Both numerical and experimental analyses are used to evaluate new design.

회전수 상승폭 변화에 따른 인버터열펌프의 비정상 운전특성 (A study on the transient characteristics during speed up of inverter heat pump)

  • The transient characteristics of a 4.0㎾ inverter driven heat pump was investigated by theoretical and experimental studies. The heat pump used in this study consists of a high side scroll compressor and $\Phi$7 compact heat exchangers with two capillary tubes. A series of tests was peformed to examine the transient characteristics of heat pump in heating and cooling mode when the operating speed was varied from 30Hz to 102Hz. One of the major issues that has not been addressed so far is transient characteristics during speed modulation. A cycle simulation model has been developed to predict the cycle performance under frequency rise-up conditions, and the results of theoretical study were compared with the results of experimental study. The theoretical model was driven from mass conservation and energy conservation equations to predict the operation points of refrigerant cycle and the performances at various operating speeds. For transient conditions, the simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental results within 10%. The transient cycle migration of the liquid state refrigerant causes a significant dynamic change in system. Thus, the migration of refrigerant is the most important factor whenever An experimental analysis is performed or A simulation model is developed.

  • Today, as the demands for home appliances are increasing, the understanding of noise and vibration characteristics have become more important. It is hard to control its vibration and noise characteristics, because its mechanical structure is very complex. In this study a model of reciprocating compressor is developed. Spring, frame, and LDT are modeled as flexible body, and the other parts are modeled as rigid. FEM model of frame is simplified in order to save the simulation time. We validated the simple model by comparing their natural frequencies and mode shapes. Motor torque is applied to a rotor, and the piston is subjected to a gas pressure. The vibrational characteristics of compressor is analyzed with LS-DYNA. Its results are compared with the simulation results of rigid body frame. The effect of LDT is also studied by comparing the vibration of frame with the results of simulation with no LDT.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 이산화탄소를 적용한 자동차용 냉방시스템의 냉방 성능특성을 고찰하는 것이다. 특히 자동차의 실도로 운전 조건을 모사할 수 있도록 실험 조건을 선정하였으며 실제 자동차에 적용된 이산화탄소용 냉방시스템에 대하여 다양한 냉방성능 실험을 진행하였다. 결과적으로, 가스쿨러 입구 공기온도가 증가할수록 냉방용량과 COP는 감소하였고 증발기 입구 공기온도가 증가할수록 냉방용량과 COP는 증가하였다. 또한, 압축기 회전속도가 900 rev/min에서 1800 rev/min으로 증가할수록 냉방용량은 42.2% 증가였으나 냉방 COP는 55.4% 감소하였다.

실험데이터 기반 마이크로 가스터빈엔진 탈 설계점 성능해석 (Off-design Performance Analysis based on Experimental Data of a Micro Gas Turbine Engine)

  • 가스터빈엔진의 탈설계점 운전 성능해석을 수행하기 위해서는 구성품의 성능 특성을 파악하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 가스터빈의 성능특성을 이해하기 위하여 마이크로 가스터빈엔진 성능시험 장치를 구축하였다. 구축된 마이크로 가스터빈 시험 장치를 이용하여 엔진의 회전수에 따른 유동장내의 온도와 압력 데이터를 수집하였으며, 수집된 실험 데이터를 이용하여 압축기 성능선도를 구성하였다. 터빈 출구부에서 배기가스를 포집하여 연소효율을 계산하였다. 구성된 압축기 성능선도와 연소효율을 GasTurb 성능해석 소프트웨어에 적용하여 지상 정지시의 탈설계점 성능해석을 수행하였고, 측정된 엔진성능데이터와 비교분석을 수행하였다.
