The purpose of this study is to evaluate the compressive strength properties of municipal waste ash hardening using the unrefined fly-ash and paper sludge ash and to offer basic data to someone for recycling municipal waste ash. Unrefined fly-ash and paper sludge ash are used with admixture. MWA are tested that grading, specific gravity and pH value and observed microsructure of particle with SEM. The compressive strengths of MWA hardening which is mixed with regular ratio according to each admixture are measured. In the results of test, fly-ash is very effective for reducing content of cement by 50% in the recycling of MWA. But proper content mixed paper sludge ash is recommend by about 20% in binder.
In this study, we compared a plain mortar with the CAS-system shrinkage compensation mortar for Ondol that is Korean traditional heating system. The Ondol mortar is necessary to have properties as non-crack, fine flatness and stability for thermal changes. especially, mortar'crack prevention is to be most important property in Ondol mortar. To develope the stable material on the crack-prevention, we used to calcium-sulfo-aluminate(CSA)system in shrinkage compensation mortar. And so, we confirmed the effects of calcium-sulfo-aluminate(CSA) system for mortar's physical properties such as setting time, compressive strength and expansion ratio for crack prevention. The initial and final setting time of the CSA mortar is faster than plain mortar about 2hours. And, Compressive strength increased about 20% that plain mortar. The crack length per unit area, plain mortar is 0.426∼0.481m/m2. The Results of apartment construction field test, the shrinkage compensation mortar is excellent about the crack-reduce effect.

In this study aluminium sulfate, Ca(OH)$_2$, K-R Slag and Na$_2$SO$_4$ were used as active admixtures. The physical properties of active admixtures cement mortar were investigated by flow test and compressive strength. It was found that the resulting active admixtures exhibited the higher compressive strength than OPC mortar up. From the test results, cement mortars added active admixture have a good fundamental property.
Blast furnace slag(BFS) is well known for its hardening mechanism in ordinary Portland cement with alkali activation due to its latent hydraulic property. The possibility of using calcium compound as activator for BFS has been investigated in this study. The hydration properties of calcium compound activated BFS binders were explored using heat of hydration, powder X-ray diffraction and compressive strength testing. Heat of hydration results indicate that the hydration heat of BFS is lower than OPC paste by about 50%. And ettringite as hydration product was formed continuously as the calcium sulfate was decreased. The maximum compressive strength of hardened BFS mortar at 28 days is confirmed to be 83% as compared with hardened OPC mortar.

Experimental tests on the high strength self-compacting concrete with light-weight fine aggregate and light-weight coarse aggregate(LHSSC) were performed with slump-flow, reaching time to the slump-flow of 500mm, V-funnel dropping time and U-box difference level and compressive strength. LHSCC with light-weight fine aggregate of 75% and light-weight coarse aggregate of 100% was only satisfied with the property conditions of second self-compacting concrete(SCC), like as flowability, resistance to segregation and filling ability. The 28-day compressive strength of LHSCC indicated above 300kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ in all concrete mixtures, and it was increased to increase the replacement ratio of light-weight fine aggregate or to decrease the replacement ratio of light-weight coarse aggregate. Therefore, for satisfying the properties of fresh SCC and hardened concrete with above 350kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, it would expected that the replacement ratio of light-weight fine aggregate and light-weight coarse aggregate will be determined with 50~75% and 25~50%, respectively.

The compressive residual stress, which is induced by shot peening process, has the effect of increasing the intrinsic fatigue strength of surface and therefore would be beneficial in reducing the probability of fatigue damage. However, it was not known that the effect of shot peening in corrosion environment. In this study, the effect of shot peening on corrosion fatigue crack growth of sping steel immersed in 6% $FeCl_3$ solution and corrosion characteristics with considering fracture mechanics. The results of the experimental study corrosion fatigue characteristics of spring steel are as follows; the fatigue crack growth rate of the shot peening material was lower than of the un peening material. And fatigue life shows more improvement in the shot peening material than un peening material. This is because the compressive residual stress of surface operate resistance of corrosion fatigue crack propagation. It is assumed that the shot peening process improve corrosive resistance and mechanical property.

High reactivity metakaolin (HRM) is a manufactured pozzolan produced by thermal processing of purified kaolinitic clay. Field performance and laboratory research of concrete containing HRM have demonstrated its value for bridge decks, bridge deck overlays, high-strength concrete and masonry products. This paper discusses laboratory evaluations to assess the physical properties of antiwashout underwater concrete (AWC) containing HRM, such as pH value, suspended solids, slump flow, and compressive strength. There were not much variations of pH value with the changing HRM contents, but suspended solid test showed that the amount of suspended solids of AWC with 10 and 20% of HRM were reduced in comparison with plain. Due to the fast hydration and reaction property of HRM, slump flow was decreased with increasing HRM contents. According to the results of compressive strength test, AWC with 10 and 20% of HRM showed higher strength characteristic than plain at all curing ages.

Alkali silicate system has wide application to accelerating admixture for shotcrete, but it has several problems that decrease long-term strength and delay setting time. So alkali-free system was gradually focused on accelerating admixtures for shotcrete due to its environmental property. The aim of this study is to investigate effect of alkali-free accelerating admixtures on aluminum sulfate system containing diethanolamine or acrylic acid etc. The alkali-free accelerating admixture has better properties than silicate system accelerating admixtures on compressive strength and low pH as shotcrete. Especially, the compressive strength of alkali-free accelerating admixture containing diethanolamine was increased about 10% compared with the value of ordinary portland cement.
Engineering properties such as compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity and Poisson's ratio of geopolymer concrete (GPC) and steel fibre reinforced geopolymer concrete (SFRGPC) have been obtained from standard tests and compared. A total of 15 specimens were tested for determining each property. The grade of concrete used was M 40. The percentages of steel fibres considered include 0.25%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1%. In general, the addition of fibres improved the mechanical properties of both GPC and SFRGPC. However the increase was found to be nominal in the case of compressive strength (8.51%), significant in the case of splitting tensile strength (61.63%), modulus of rupture (24%), modulus of elasticity (64.92%) and Poisson's ratio (50%) at 1% volume fraction of fibres. An attempt was made to obtain the relation between the various engineering properties with the percentage of fibres added.

The purpose of this study is to identify basic property of porous concrete using cooper slag as fine aggregate. The specimens were made with cooper slag with various mixing ratio(10, 20, 30, 50%), porous concrete and porous concrete containing river fine aggregate and crushed fine aggregate, which W/B ratio fixed 0.25. Compressive strength, Flexural strength, coefficient of permeability. From the test results, various fine aggregate mixing ratio improves compressive strength and flexural strength, but cooper slag fine aggregate mixing ratio over 20%, concrete indicates trend to decrease performance of permeability. Concrete containing fine aggregate is improved the performance of permeability and strength compared to other specimen, when age 28days, and cooper slag mixing ratio less than 20% concrete indicates better performance than cooper slag mixing ratio 20% over.
