이산화탄소 지중 주입에 의한 경상분지 사암의 용해반응 규명 및 용해 반응상수값 계산 (Study on the Dissolution of Sandstones in Gyeongsang Basin and the Calculation of Their Dissolution Coefficients under CO2 Injection Condition)

  • 국내 육상 이산화탄소 지중저장 후보지 중 하나로 거론되고 있는 경상분지 사암에 대하여 초임계$CO_2$ 주입에 의한 사암의 용해반응을 규명하는 실내 실험을 실시하였다. 초임계$CO_2$로 존재하는 지중저장 온도/압력조건(100 bar와 $50^{\circ}C$)을 재현한 스테인레스 셀(용량 110 ml) 내부에 지하수를 주입한 후, 공극률이 다른 3 종류의 경상분지 사암 시료에 대하여 슬랩으로 제작하여 표면을 폴리싱한 후 고압셀 하부에 고정시켜 지하수에 잠기게 하였으며, 초임계$CO_2$를 주입한 후 60 일 동안 지하수 용존 이온 농도 변화, 질량 변화, 광물의 평균 표면 거칠기 변화를 측정하였다. 사암의 물성 변화 실험에서는 채취한 3 종류의 경상분지 사암들을 원통형 코어 형태로 가공하여 대형 고온고압탱크(2 liter 용량)에 고정시켜 30 일 동안 반응 시킨 후 공극률, 건조밀도, 탄성파 속도, 일축압축강도 등을 측정하여 용해반응에 의한 사암의 물성변화를 규명하였다. 반응 시간에 따른 사암 코어의 무게를 측정하여 질량 변화에 따른 1차 용해반응 상수값($k_d$)을 계산하였으며, 이 용해상수를 이용하여 단위면적($cm^2$) 당 1 g의 사암시료가 완전히 용해되는데 걸리는 용해시간을 계산하였다. 사암 슬랩을 이용한 지중저장 조건에서 초임계$CO_2$-사암-지하수 반응 실험 결과 $Ca^{2+}$, $Na^+$의 용해반응이 활발하게 일어나는 것으로 나타나, 이들 함량이 높은 사장석, 방해석 등을 중심으로 사암의 용해반응이 일어남을 알 수 있었으며, 반응 30 일 후 초기 A사암 슬랩 무게의 0.66%가 반응에 의해 용해되었다. 경상분지 사암의 물성 변화 실험 결과, $CO_2$ 반응 30 일 동안 B사암과 C사암의 공극률은 초기 공극률 기준 16.2%와 7.4% 증가하는 반면, 건조밀도, 탄성파 속도 그리고 일축압축강도는 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 이 결과는 초임계$CO_2$와 반응하여 암석의 용해반응에 의한 물성변화가 짧은 시간 동안 활발히 일어나고 있음을 의미한다. 계산된 용해반응상수값($k_d$)으로부터 B사암과 C사암의 경우 사암에 주입된 $CO_2$에 의하여 단위면적($cm^2$)당 1 g이 용해되는데 각각 평균 1,532 년과 329 년이 걸리는 것으로 나타나, $CO_2$ 지중저장 시 사암의 용해반응이 짧은 시간동안 활발히 일어날 수 있음을 입증하였다.

에너지 저장장치용 슈퍼커패시터 이온 도핑 제어를 통한 에너지 밀도 향상 연구 (Improvement of Energy Density in Supercapacitor by Ion Doping Control for Energy Storage System)

  • 최근 전력 계통에 사용되는 주파수 조정용(F/R) 에너지 저장장치에 대하여 높은 에너지 밀도와 장수명의 안정성에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 슈퍼커패시터는 장수명과 급속 충방전 특성이 우수하므로 이러한 F/R 적용을 위한 에너지 저장장치로 적합하게 여겨지고 있다. 슈퍼커패시터는 단주기 F/R 영역의 보완 운전을 담당하고 전력계통에 설치된 ESS의 장주기 운영 수명을 연장함으로써 기존 용량을 담당하는 리튬 배터리의 설치 규모와 양을 획기적으로 줄일 수 있다. 하지만 낮은 에너지 밀도는 전력 계통과 같은 큰 시스템에서 적용에 한계가 있으며 여전히 배터리를 대체할 수 있는 높은 에너지 밀도 요구에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그러나 최근에는 리튬이온 커패시터(Lithium ion capacitor; LIC) 구조가 3.8 V 이상의 전압 구간을 구현할 수 있기 때문에 전기이중층 커패시터(Electric double layer capacitor; EDLC) 구조보다 고에너지 밀도 구현을 위한 구조로 각광을 받고 있지만 여전히 상용화를 위해서는 여러가지 전기화학적 성능에 대한 구체적인 검증 및 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 LIC의 에너지 밀도와 관계되는 용량을 증대하기 위하여 새로운 전극사전-도핑 방법을 설계하였다. 양극 활물질은 0.1% 이하의 상대습도 분위기 드라이룸에서 기계적 강도와 음극 도핑을 안정되게 수행될 수 있도록 $100{\mu}m$의 두께로 제작되었다. 또한 접촉 저항을 최소화하기 위하여 제조된 전극은 상온에서 $65^{\circ}C$까지 열 압축공정을 실시하였다. 최종적으로 LIC 구조에 대한 다양한 사전-도핑법을 설계하고 그 메커니즘을 분석하여 용량과 전기화학적 안정성이 향상된 새로운 LIC 사전-도핑 방법을 제안하였다.

조인트 버스팅을 고려한 세그먼트 라이닝 구조해석 및 설계방법 (The structural analysis and design methods considering joint bursting in the segment lining)

  • 쉴드 TBM터널에 적용되는 세그먼트 라이닝은 주로 콘크리트로 제작되며, 시공 중 및 완공 후 작용 하중에 견딜 수 있는 충분한 강도가 요구된다. 한계상태설계법에 의한 세그먼트라이닝 설계는 주로 극한하중상태(ULS) 및 사용하중상태(SLS)에 대하여 검토하며, 상시하중과 임시하중에 대하여 발생 가능한 조합을 구성하여 적용한다. 또한 TBM에 의한 시공을 고려한 한계상태 설정과 구조해석이 필요하며, 특히 세그먼트라이닝은 현장에서 조립되어 원형구조물을 완성하는 방식이기 때문에, 콘크리트표면이 접촉하는 조인트가 필수적으로 존재하며 이 조인트를 통해 상당한 크기의 압축응력이 전달되므로 조인트에 대한 구조검토가 중요하다. 일반적으로 세그먼트 라이닝의 원주방향 조인트(circumferential joint)와 반경방향 조인트(radial joint)에서의 인장응력에 대하여 FEM모델이나 이론식으로 검토한다. 영국의 설계지침(PAS 8810, 2016)에 의하면, 버스팅을 일으키는 조인트에서의 압축응력은 원주방향 조인트(circumferential joint)에 잭 추력을 가하는 경우뿐만 아니라 반경방향 조인트(radial joint)에 축력이 전달되는 경우에도 발생하므로 버스팅 응력을 검토하여 세그먼트의 인장강도와 비교하여 필요할 경우 보강을 하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 한계상태설계코드인 EURO CODE와 AASHTO LRFD (2017)의 하중조건을 적용하여 조인트 응력을 비교 분석하였고, FEM해석을 통하여 버스팅(bursting)을 유발하는 조인트응력을 평가하고 발생경향을 이론식과 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과, 조인트 응력이 콘크리트의 허용 인장강도를 초과하는 경우가 발생하여 보강이 필요한 것으로 검토되었다. 따라서 조인트 버스팅 검토는 세그먼트라이닝 한계상태설계 시 설계항목으로 비중 있게 고려할 필요가 있다.

간이처리법(簡易處理法)에 의한 갱목(坑木)의 내부효력(耐腐効力)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Effect of Diffusion Process to Decay Resistance of Mine Props)

  • 현재(現在) 각(各) 탄광(炭鑛)에서는 막대(莫大)한 양(量)의 갱목(坑木)을 사용(使用)하고 있다. 한편 그 공급원(供給源)인 국내(國內) 임산자원(林產資源)은 심(甚)한 부족현상(不足現象)을 나타내고 있다. 따라서 앞으로 그 공급(供給)이 크게 우려(憂慮)되고 있어 이에 대비(對備)하기 위한 적절(適切)한 방법(方法)의 모색(模索)이 절실(切實)히 요청(要請)되고 있다. 이와같은 우리 나라 갱목(坑木) 실정(實情)을 감안하여 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 갱목사용(坑木使用)의 현황(現況)을 파악(把握)하고, 갱목(坑木)의 부패(腐敗)를 막아 그 사용연한(使用年限)을 연장시킬 수 있는 실용적(實用的)이며 간이(簡易)한 방법(方法)을 모색하기 위하여 실시(實施)되었으며 그 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 본(本) 시험(試驗)은 대한석탄공사(大韓石炭公社) 장성광업소(長城鑛業所)에서 실제(實際) 공급중(供給中)인 갱목(坑木)을 공시재(供試材)로 하여 방부제(防腐劑)에는 수용방부제(水溶防腐劑)인 Malenit와 chromated zinc chloride를 사용(使用)하였으며, 처리(處理) 방법(方法)으로는 비교적(比較的) 간이(簡易)한 방법(方法)인 diffusion process (확산법(擴散法))를 적용(適用)하였다. 2. 갱목사용현황(坑木使用現況)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 1975년도(年度) 총갱목소요량(總坑木所要量) 456천(千) $m^3$로서 내재(內材) 전체공급량(全體供給量)의 16%에 해당하고 있으며 수종(樹種)은 침엽수(針葉樹)(소나무, 낙엽송 등(等))와 활엽수(濶葉樹)(참나무류(類) 등(等))로 크게 구별(區別)되었고, 그 비율(比率)은 탄광(炭鑛)에 따라 차이(差異)는 있었으나 대체(大體)로 반반(半半) 정도 였다. 규격면(規格面)에서는 일정(一定)한 것이 없었으나 일반적(一般的)으로 말구직경(末口直徑) 16cm(10~20cm), 재장(材長) 1.8m(1.2~3.6m) 정도의 목재(木材)가 많이 사용(使用)되고 있었다. 톤당(當) 목재소요량(木材所要量)은 광산(鑛山)에 따라 차이(差異)가 있었다 (석공(石公) $0.017m^3/ton$, 민탄(民炭) $0.03m^3/ton$), 다음 갱목(坑木)을 구(求)하는 방법(方法)에는 직영생산(直營生產)을 하는 경우와 생산품(生產品)을 구입(購入)하는 경우로 구분(區分) 되었으며, 석공(石公)과 같은 큰 탄광(炭鑛)은 직영(直營)이 많았고, 여타(餘他) 민탄(民炭)은 조합공동구입(組合共同購入)을 하거나 개별(個別) 구입(購入)으로 충당(充當)하고 있었다. 갱목가격(坑木價格)의 형성과정(形成過程)은 조건(條件)에 따라 차이(差異)가 심(甚)하였으나 일반적(一般的)으로 공급지(供給地) 가격(價格)으로는 거의 동일(同一)한 가격(價格)이 었다(19,500원$m^3$). 3. 처리갱목(處理坑木)의 내부력시험(耐腐力試驗) (가) 공시재(供試材)의 전건중량감소율(全乾重量減少率)은 무처리(無處理)와 처리(處理) (Malenit와 chromated zinc chloride) 간(間)에 평균수치(平均數値)에 있어서는 처리재(處理材)가 대체(大體)로 크게 나타났으나 양자간(兩者間)에 유의적(有意的)인 차이(差異)는 나타나지 않았다. 이것은 공시가간(供試期間)이 짧은데 기인(起因)하는 것으로 추정(推定)된다. (나) 압축강동(壓縮强度)를 시험(試驗)한 결과(結果)는 무처리(無處理)와 처리(處理)(Malenit와 chromated zinc chloride) 간(間)에 평균(平均) 수치(數値)에 있어서는 후자(後者)가 대체(大體)로 강(强)하게 나타나 있으나, 역시(亦是) 양자간(兩者間)의 유의적(有意的)인 차이(差異)는 나타나지 않았다. 이것도 공시기간(供試期間)이 너무 짧은데 기인(起因)하는것 같다. (다) 공시재(供試材)의 1% 가성조달액(苛性曹達液)(NaOH) 추출물(抽出物)은 무처리재(無處理材)의 경우가 처리재(處理材)의 경우보다 많았고 Malenit 처리재(處理材)와 chromated zinc chloride 처리재(處理材) 간(間)에는 거의 같은 값을 나타냈다. 4. 경제적(經濟的) 효율(効率)에 대한 조사(調査) 결과(結果)는 처리재(處理材)가 무처리재(無處理材)에 비교하여 원가비(原價比)에서는 16% 가량 증자(增資)된데 반(反)하여, 처리재(處理材)는 그 사용연한(使用年限)이 2배(倍)에서 3배(倍)나 길어지기 때문에 년부금비(年賦金比)에서는 후자(後者)가 38%나 절감(節減)되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. To synthesize microspheres for biomedical application, "two stage shot growth method" was developed. The uniformity ratio of synthesized microspheres was always smaller than 1.05. And the surface charge density (or the number of ionizable functional groups) of the microspheres synthesized by "two stage shot growth method" was 6~13 times higher than that of the microspheres synthesized by conventional seeded batch copolymerization. As a previous step for biomedical application, adsorption experiments of bovine albumin on microspheres were carried out under various conditions. The maximum adsorbed amount was obtained in the neighborhood of pH 4.5. Isoelectric point of bovine albumin is pH 5.0, so experimental result shows that it shifted to acid area. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. The authors suggests that this system based on down-sized computer could provide a progressive approach to total LIS based on local area network, and the implemented system could serve as a model for other hospital's LIS for routine hematology. 30609 T00401030609 ^x To develop an artificial bone substitute that is gradually degraded and replaced by the regenerated natural bone, the authors designed a composite that is consisted of calcium phosphate and collagen. To use as the structural matrix of the composite, collagen was purified from human umbilical cord. The obtained collagen was treated by pepsin to remove telopeptides, and finally, the immune-free atelocollagen was produced: The cross linked atelocollagen was highly resistant to the collagenase induced collagenolysis. We propose a simple adaptive algorithm to increase capability of noise cancelation in QRS complex detection with two stage adaptive filter. At the first stage, background noise is removed and at the next stage, only spectrum of QRS complex components is passed. Two adaptive filters can afford to keep track of the changes of both noise and QRS complex.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.
