  • Purpose: Distributed leadership (DL) is a comprehensive and analytical way to understand how leadership manifests itself among people and in the context of a complex organization. With technological advances and seemingly ever-changing pressures on the environment, it is important for education leaders to represent their practice. This study aims to discuss the significance of DL and its role in education. Research design, data and methodology: The present researcher used Qualitative Content Analysis (QCA) because it is credible, transferable, dependable, and confirmable proving its trustworthiness. To begin with, QCA entails a sufficient representation of the social realities being studied, credibility. Results: The investigation of this study indicates that the documents are in the proper functioning of schools to highlight the potential impact of collaborative practices, many of which require sharing school fees. DL can be meant as "influence relationships," discussions in groups, government, and non-leaders, about how teachers influence each other, and teamwork was easy. Conclusions: This study suggests that management can significantly impact organizational changes in management practices to distribute or skip something planned. DL is not a panacea, plan, or formula. Rather, it is a way to get under the skin of local leadership and restore the potential for change in the organization.

  • In order to overcome the small scale of Korea waterworks and to achieve comprehensive improvement and innovation transformation, the waterworks integration was reviewed. The effect of consolidation was confirmed by the integration of the water supply business in the southern Gangwon region and the western Gyeongnam region in Korea, such as an increase in the flow rate and a decrease in the production unit cost. After facing management and service limitations overseas, more than 1,000 small-scale waterworks projects in the UK were integrated into 27 waterworks providers, and Japan also revised the Waterworks Act in December 2019 and is in the process of integrating waterworks. It is considered appropriate to promote the integration of waterworks projects in Korea by respecting the autonomy of local governments, but using a participatory method, a win-win method, and a linkage method. For the integration of waterworks projects, three strategies are proposed: First creating a national foundation for integration (revision of the Waterworks Act), Second establishing a waterworks integration strategy led by local governments, Third forming an external consensus and providing incentives for participation.

  • Planning the construction for a system of bored piles in building foundation engineering is (1) to predict the time duration required to complete all the bored piles with due consideration of relevant engineering factors and site constraints; then (2) to predict the total project time generally by aggregating the predicted working duration for construction of each bored pile. The duration for construction of an individual bored pile results from analyzing various working sequences and different activity duration (such as predrilling, excavation, steelfixing, air-lifting, and concreting, etc.), which is informed by experiences and site records of previous projects. However, determining the project duration for constructing many bored piles on one site is much more complicated than adding up the time duration for individual piles. In practice, project schedules are often found to be unrealistic and incorrect during the construction stage. This is because construction planning is not based on a exhaustive and comprehensive evaluation of site factors, such as site layout plan, site constraints, quality control, environmental control, safety control and logical relationships between different trades. In this paper, we identify those factors based on a foundation engineering site in Hong Kong with ninety-seven bored piles and address their effects on uncertainties in activity time and project time.

  • This study aims to enhance the accuracy of effective demand analysis for publicly supported private rental housing by integrating the RIR into the traditional Mankiw-Weil (MW) model. Traditional models like the M-W model, which account for household income, housing costs, and household size, often fall short in estimating demand driven by large-scale development projects. By integrating the RIR factor, this study introduces a more accurate and practical approach to analyzing effective housing demand. Findings show that the modified M-W model incorporating RIR predicts effective demand with greater precision than traditional methods. This advancement allows developers to plan projects more efficiently and aids governments and local authorities in implementing more effective housing policies. Furthermore, the study assesses the real housing cost burden on households, elucidating their capacity to pay housing costs based on household size and income quintile. This information enables policymakers to design targeted housing support policies for specific demographic groups. Additionally, the research provides comprehensive policy recommendations tailored to various regions and housing types. Overall, this study lays a vital groundwork for the long-term analysis of the effects of economic changes and housing market trends on effective demand.

  • The burden of medical expenses and the loss of social capital due to chronic diseases are becoming problems worldwide, and comprehensive and inclusive measures across various fields are required to prevent and manage their impacts. Social prescriptions have been shown to be effective in resolving the fundamental causes of health problems in patients with chronic diseases and in supporting existing treatments. In particular, green prescriptions that utilize the healing effects of nature and green spaces based on social prescriptions are being introduced in many countries overseas. Green prescription is the practice of a healthcare provider recommending activities in green spaces or experiences in the natural environment to patients for the prevention and management of chronic diseases. This study analyzed cases focusing on the policy system, the cases of the United Kingdom and the United States, which have introduced and operated green prescriptions under a national system. For this purpose, this study compared the background of green prescription introduction, related policies, and operation methods. Based on this, four implications were proposed to establish an effective plan for introducing green prescriptions in Korea. First, prior to establishing a policy for green prescriptions, interest in and research on green prescriptions are essential. Second, an implementation plan that fits the national health care system should be established, and policies should support the plan. Third, the introduction of green prescriptions from a long-term and gradual perspective is required. Fourth, comprehensive cooperation is required for the introduction and implementation of the green prescription system. This study can be used as basic data for discussion before introducing green prescriptions in Korea in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze domestic academic library development plans, check whether key components are reflected, and seek ways to improve the establishment of academic library development plans. To this end, a rubric evaluation technique derived from research related to evaluation of foreign universities and libraries was used. The libraries of the top 15 domestic universities were selected by referring to the QS World University Evaluation and THE World University Evaluation as the subjects of the study, and how much the core components of the development plan were reflected were evaluated. The results of the study are as follows. First, as a result of evaluating the university library development plan, most of the contents of 'purpose', 'goal', and 'action plan' were reflected, but vulnerabilities were found in 'mission' and 'vision'. Second, some private academic libraries were moving toward strategic planning at the level of advanced countries, including all of the core components. Third, although most academic libraries specified 'purpose', it showed limitations due to perfunctory description and connection. In the comprehensive evaluation, out of the highest score of 15, 12 were good and 3 were poor, indicating that the development plans of domestic academic libraries were generally at a 'good' level. As an improvement measure, it was suggested to form a task force for development plan establishment, to disclose and promote development plans, and to strengthen education on development plans for librarians.
