One of the Repeated survey which estimates variability of population, we can be consider rotation sample survey. There are two kinds of rotation sample survey - onelevel rotation sample survey and multi-level rotation sample survey. In rotation sample survey, Composite estimator is used to measure level or level change of the population. This study suggests Generalized Composite estimator as considering intraclass correlation in multi-level rotation sample survey, and optimal weight minimizing variance of estimator. Numerical example shows efficiency of Generalized Composite estimator as considering intraclass correlation according to the sample unit and change degree of intraclass correlation in the rotation group.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the electrical properties of thick-film resistor (TFR) prepared from $CaO-ZnO-B_2O_3-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$ (CZBAS) glass containing $RuO_2$ particles. $RuO_2$-glass composite powder was made by mixing and melting oxide powders of constituents. For comparison, $RuO_2$ powder was simply mixed with glass powder. $RuO_2$-40wt% glass composite and mixture were dispersed in an organic binder to obtain printable resistor paste and then thick-film was formed by screen printing, followed by sintering at the range between $750^{\circ}C$ and $900^{\circ}C$ for 10 min with a heating rate of $50^{\circ}C/min$ in an ambient atmosphere. $RuO_2$-glass composite sample showed much higher resistance compared to the simple mixed sample. This could be attributed to the difference in conducting mechanism. After sintering at $850^{\circ}C$, temperature coefficient of resistance of composite sample was lower than that of simple-mixed sample. TFR with dense and homogeneous microstructure could be obtained by using $RuO_2$-glass composite powder.

The Finite Element Analysis has been used for stress analysis of prosthesis, orthodontic or orthopedic appliances and filling materials. The primary purpose of the present studying was to evaluate the effectiveness of needle post in promoting the retention and integrity of composite crown restored on the pulpotomized primary central incisor. Three finite element models-natural tooth (Sample I), composite crown with (Sample II) and without (Sample III) needle post-were constructed and the stress distribution within each model were analyzed and compared one another. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. In sample I, the stress was shown to have distributed uniformly throughout the whole tooth even to the alveolar bone. 2. In sample II, the transmission of stress from the crown to the root area was shown to be very poor and irregular. 3. In sample III, the needle post was proved to be very effective in distributing the stress well to the aveolar bone which might help in maintaining the stability of crown restoration.
A new MR angiography technique using a composite sequence for the suppression of static sample signals is proposed and verified with experiments. When the composite [$90^{\circ}-{\tau}-180^{\circ}-2{\tau}-180^{\circ}-{\tau}$] sequence is applied, the large signal from the static sample is sufficiently suppressed but the signal from fresh inflow sample of which amplitude. is observed without suppression. These properties are appropriate for angiographic applications. In this paper, a modified line scan method (Block line scan angiography) incorporated with the composite [$90^{\circ}-{\tau}-180^{\circ}-2{\tau}-180^{\circ}-{\tau}$] sequence is used to obtain flow-only images, i.e., angiograms. The block line scan method improves the resolution in the flow-direction at the expense of imaging time. With the composite sequence, there is no need for subtraction procedure as in the most conventional angiographic methods. Experimental results for a phantom and a normal volunteer with KAIS 2.0 Tesla MRI system are shown.
The tensile strength (TS) and elongation-at-break (EB) loss of a CR/CB rubber composite sample prepared for the automotive parts were measured after accelerated thermal ageing at temperatures of 100, 120, 140, and $150^{\circ}C$. The change in TS was observed to be linear from the master curve prepared using the time-temperature superposition-principle (TTSP). An Arrhenius type of shift factor, $a_T$ was used to predict the life time of the sample, and a plot of ln $a_T$ vs. 1/T was also shown to be linear. The activation energy ($E_a$) of the sample was calculated as 70.30 kJ/mole from the Arrhenius plot. The expected life time of the sample was predicted at the given operating conditions by applying Arrhenius analysis. Assuming the $E_a$ value was constant at lower operating condition, life time of the sample was calculated as 2.3 years when the life limit was set as time to reach the 20% decrease of the initial TS value at operating temperature of $40^{\circ}C$.
This study quantitatively evaluated and investigated the changes in transverse tensile strength of unidirectional fiber-reinforced composites with initial void defects using a Representative Volume Element (RVE) model. After calculating the appropriate sample size based on margin of error and confidence level for initial void defects, a sample group of 5000 RVE models with initial void defects was generated. Dimensional reduction and density-based clustering analysis were conducted on the sample group to assess similarity, confirming and verifying that the sample group was unbiased. The validated sample analysis results were represented using a Weibull distribution, allowing them to be applied to the reliability analysis of composite structures.
This study aimed to research the local production of conductive composite yarn, a source material used in textile-type electrodes and circuits. The physical properties of an internationally available conductive composite yarn were analyzed. To manufacture the conductive composite yarn, we selected one type of conductive yarn with Ag-coated polyamide of 150d 1 ply, along with two types of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with circular and triangular cross-sections, both with 150d 1 ply. The conductive composite yarn samples were manufactured at 250, 500, 750, and 1000 turns per meter (TPM). For both conductive composite yarn samples manufactured from two types of PET filaments, the twist contraction rate of the sample with a triangular cross-section was stable. Among the samples, the tensile strength of the sample manufactured at 750 TPM was the highest at approximately 4.1gf/d; the overall linear resistance was approximately 5.0 Ω/cm, which is within the target range. It was confirmed that the triangular cross-section sample manufactured with 750 TPM had a similar linear resistance value to the advanced product despite the increase in the number of twists. In future studies, we plan tomanufacture samples by varying the twist conditions to derive the optimal conductive yarn suitable for smartwear and smart textile manufacturing conditions.
Two kinds of CNT/TiO2 composite photocatalysts were synthesized with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and titanium(IV) n-butoxide (TNB) by a MCPBA oxidation method. Since MWCNTs had charge transfer and semiconducting, the CNT/TiO2 composite shows a good photo-degradation activity. The XRD patterns reveal that only anatase phase can be identified for MCT composite, but the HMCT composite synthesized with HCl treatment was observed the mixed phase of anatase and rutile. The EDX spectra were shown the presence as major elements of Ti with strong peaks. From the SEM results, the sample MCT and HMCT synthesized by the thermal decomposition with TNB show a homogenous sample with only individual MWCNTs covered with TiO2 without any jam-like aggregates between CNTs and TiO2. From the photocatalytic results, we could be suggested that the excellent activity of the CNT/TiO2 composites for organic dye and UV irradiation time could be attributed to combination effects between TiO2 and MWCNTs with plausible photodegradation mechanism.

We prepared 0~20mo1% WO$_3$added ZnO composite ceramics in order to promote a CO gas sensitivity. Using SE,. we observed the microstructure of sample. The resistances of sample were measured by High Voltage Measure/source Unit in the temperature range of +5V~-5V. The measured 1000ppm CO sensitivities of pure ZnO were about 1~4.3, and the measured 1000ppm CO sensitivities of ZnO-WO$_3$composite ceramics were about 1~8.2. Therefore, the 1000ppm CO sensitivities of ZnO-WO$_3$composite ceramics were about 2 times larger than that of pure ZnO.

The purpose of this study is to measure the thermal conductivity of a carbon/phenolic 8-harness woven composite. An experiment apparatus and procedure developed in the previous study were used to measure the thermal conductivities. This method compares the temperature difference between a reference specimen with a known thermal conductivity and the test sample specimen in a steady-state condition.
