  • 3D structures of STAM1 UIM-ubiquitin complex were presented to predict and analyze the interaction between UIM and ubiquitin. To generate the protein-peptide complex structure, the RosettaDock method was used with and without NMR restraints. High resolution complex structure was acquired successfully and evaluated electrostatic interaction in the protein-peptide binding with several charged residues at the binding site. From docking results, the Rosettadock method could be useful to acquire essential information of protein-protein or protein-peptide interaction with minimal biological evidences.

  • This paper deals with the enhancement of the complex potential navigation for wheeled mobile robots. The circle theorem from complex function theory is used to avoid an obstacle, and the enhancement to avoid multiple obstacles is proposed. The limit cycle navigation can be combined for robot to kick the ball to the intentioned direction. Avoiding step and superposing twin vortices can be applied to adjust the direction of robot's trajectory. The proposed method is verified through a set of simulation works, and the feasibilities for the enhancement of complex potential theory are successful.

  • Iron complexes were prepared using ferric nitrate and ethylene glycol as starting materials and the ul-trafine ${\alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ particles with the sizes smaller than 200nm were obtained by the pyrolysis of iron com-plexes at over $350^{\circ}C$ In addition the decomposition mechanism of the synthesized iron complexes was in-vestigated by differential scanning calorimeter X-ray diffractometer and IR spectrometer. Transmission electron microscopy and BET method were performed to analyze the effects of ferric nitrate contents and reaction temperatures on the size and shape of the particles.

  • According to the construction plan of Samcheok electric power complex from year 2009 to year 2020, many people are interested in this area. This national project which invests about 8.6 trillion won will have great influence to rail transport considering current depression days. Samcheok electric power complex will be the largest plan in Korea, and it is necessary to have railroad construction plan as soon as possible considering the route change of domestic coal transport and the possibility of coal transport by rail from North Korea, Russia and China after reunification of Korean peninsula. Also, Samcheok electric power complex will be located in the east area railroad route and it is important to study about this area. This study will mention about the railroad route of east sea north line and Pohang $\sim$ Samcheok line, and review the prospect and strengthening method of coal transport by railroad according to the construction of Samcheok electric power complex.

  • Coupling of tetracycline(Tc) to dithiocarbamate chitosan(DTCC) via chelate bond was investigated varying reaction time, concentration, temperature, pH, and Ca(II)/Tc ratio. The amount of Tc bound to matrix increased to give a maximum and decreased as the reaction proceeded. The degree and rate of dissociation of Tc complex were affected by the reaction temperature, and pH. By running the reaction at low temperature and pH, the degree of dissociation was greatly diminished. Properties of drug-release from DTCC-Ca(II)-Tc complex were studied by batch- and flow-method and release of Tc and CA(II) by flow method followed nearly zero-order. DTCC-Ca(II)-Tc showed very prolonged antimicrobial activity compared to that of free Tc.

  • this paper, we introduce a secure communication method using complex system. We make a complex system with the n-double scroll or Chua's oscillator. The Complex system is created by applying identical n0double scroll or non-identical n-double scroll and Chua's oscillator with weak soupled method to each cell. In order to secure communication, we have synthesizing the desired information with a complex system circuit by adding the information signal to the hyper-chaos signal. And then, transmitting the synthesized signal to the ideal channel, we confirm secure communication by separating the information signal and the complex system signal in the receiver.

  • In this paper, we propose an alternate method for determining the uniqueness of the reconstruction of a complex sequence from its phase. Uniqueness constraints could be derived in terms of the zeros of a complex polynomial defined by the DFT of the sequence. However, rooting of complex polynomials of high order is a very difficult problem. Instead of finding zeros of a complex polynomial, the proposed uniqueness criteria show that non-singularity of a matrix can guarantee the uniqueness of the reconstruction of a complex sequence from its phase-only data. It has clear advantage over the rooting method in numerical stability and computational time.

  • This article describes a new contribution culling method for fast rendering of complex huge urban scenes. A view frustum culling technique is used for fast rendering of complex scenes. To support the levels-of-detail, we subdivide the image regions and construct a weighted quadtree. Only visible objects at the current camera position contributes the current quadtree and the weight is assigned to each object in the quadtree. The weight is proportional to the image area of the projected object, so large buildings in the far distance are less likely to be culled out than small buildings in the near distance. The rendering time is nearly constant not depending on the number of visible objects. The proposed method has applied to a new metropolitan region which is currently under development. Experimental results showed that the rendering quality of the proposed method is barely distinguishable from the rendering quality of the original method, while the proposed method reduces the number of polygons by about 9%. Experimental results showed that the proposed rendering method is appropriate for real-time rendering applications of complex huge scenes.

  • A clorimetric determination method of pyruvic acid using hydroxylamine was studied. Hydroxylamine was reacted with pyruvic acid to form complex compound in the presence of Cu(II) ion. Optimal conditions for the quantitative analysis were investigated and the structure of complex was examined spectrometrically. The molar ratio (2:1) and the stability constant ($1.88{\times}10^{4}$) of the complex were measured. It was the characteristic feature of this method that the commonly encountered interfering substances such as fructose, glucose and lactic acid do not infuence the measurement of pyruvic acid.
