Bond strength of luting cements to dentin is a critical consideration for success of complete cast crowns. This study was performed to evaluate the relationship between surface characteristics of teeth prepared for complete cast crowns and retention of cemented restorations. Eighty artificial crowns were cast for standardized complete crown tooth preparations accomplished with the use of a special device on recently extracted human teeth. Coarse diamond(#102R, Shofu) and superfine finishing diamond(#SF102R, Shofu) burs of similar shape were used. Crowns in each group were randomly subdivided into few subgroups of 10 for luting cements selected for this study: zinc phosphate cement (FLECK' S), polycarboxylate cement (Poly-F), rein-forced glass ionomer cement (Fuji PLUS). and adhesive resin cement (Panavia 21). Retention was evaluated by measuring the tensile load required to dislodge the artificial crown from tooth preparations with an Instron testing machine, and analysed by one-way ANOVA and Student's t-test. The obtained results were as follows ; 1. When tooth preparation was done with coarse diamond bur, retentive force was diminished in order of Panavia 21 Fuji PLUS, FLECK'S, and Poly-F. Retentive forces showed the significant difference between Fuji PLUS group and FLECK'S group(p<0.001). 2. When tooth preparation was done with superfine diamond bur, retentive force was diminished in order of Fuji PLUS, Panavia 21, FLECK'S, and Poly-F. Retentive forces showed the significant difference between Panavia 21 group and FLECK'S group(p<0.001). 3. Retentive force in coarse tooth surfaces was significantly higher than that in superfine tooth surface with all luting cements(p<0.001), and cement residues were almost retained with-in the cast crown in all groups.
This study was carried out to select the utilizable vegetations for the stabilization of slopes and river banks, landscape creation and water quality cleansing in dams, lakes and streams. In this study, 4 species were investigated for their survival and growth characteristics in the complete and partly flooding conditions with various flooding periods. The results are as followings; Acorus calamus var. angustatus showed the highest flooding tolerance based on survival rate and growth condition. Equisetum hyemale, Acorus gramineus and Salix gracilistyla followed after Acorus calamus var. angustatus in the order of flooding tolerance. Particularly, A. calamus var. angustatus and E. hyemale showed higher survival rate and grew well even when they were completely submerged in the water up to 120 days. As they were partially submerged longer, they grew better. This ascertained that they had strong flooding tolerance. When A. gramineus were completely submerged in the water, their growth was disturbed but they did not die in the complete submergence up to 120 days. A. gramineus had a small growth disturbance and showed the highest vitality of leaves among the species. Though S. gracilistyla showed somewhat low growth rate in the complete water submergence and died in 90 days, it also can grow back to normal with some changes of water level.
The role of the posterior palatal seal is important in retention of the maxillary complete denture. After taking the final impression, additional retention can be given to the maxillary denture through a mechanical method of forming a groove on master cast, but this is often overlooked in the clinical process. As a result, the posterior palatal seal is formed in a uniform way by the technician without considering the individual characteristics of the patient. Until now, various types of posterior palatal seal have been introduced by many people. This case report describes the process of manufacturing the maxillary complete denture by determining the position and form of an appropriate posterior palatal seal after considering the patient's anatomical palatal form and tissue displacement during function.

Recently, increasing demand for teacher professional development and significant advances in information and communication technologies has led to a proliferation of online professional development. In spite of online professional development's popularity and advantages, research indicates that there is a concern of considerably high dropout rates of online learners. Therefore, to reduce the dropout rates of the learners, this paper is designed to help teachers identify professional development opportunities that are tailored to their needs as well as successfully complete these learning experiences. To achieve the purpose of the study, the paper explores the considerations for evaluating the characteristics of online learners and online professional development. Using these evaluations, this paper provides practical strategies for helping elementary and secondary education teachers successfully complete online professional development without dropping out an online course.
The complete larval development of Chiromantes haematocheir was obtained by laboratory rearing. Five zoeal and one megalopal stages are described and illustrated in detail. Morphological characteristics of the larvae slightly differ from those of Lee (1988), especially in the setal presence of mouthpart appendages. Seven sesarminid zoeas (Parasesarma acis, Parasesarma pictum, Perisesarma bidens, Sesarmops intermedius, Chiromantes dehaani, Chiromantes haematocheir, and Nanosesarma gordoni) can be distinguished from each other in characters of the carapace spines, the antennal exopod and the fork of telson. A provisional key is first provided to aid the identification of seven sesarminid zoeas in Korea.

To load a container in a yard block onto a ship, a Transfer Crane (TC) moves to a target yard bay, then its hoist picks up a selected container and loads it onto a waiting Yard Truck (YT). An optimal routing problem of Transfer Crane is a decision problem which determines a given TC's the visiting sequence of yard-bays and the number of containers to transfer from each yard-bay. The objective is to minimize the travel time of the TC between yard-bays and setup time for the TC in a visiting yard. In this paper, we shows that the problem is NP-complete, and suggests a new formulation for it. Using the new formulation for the problem, we investigate some characteristics of solutions, a lower and upper bounds for it. Moreover, our lower and upper bound is very efficient to applying some instances suggested in a previous work.
In the clincal application of Hyperthermia, tissue temperature measurements are made at only a few selecte4 locations because of patient tolerance and practical clinical limitation. Since it is necessary to know the complete carcinoma cell temperature field in order to treat effectively, The difficulty of making such estimates from only a few point compounded because of the lack of knowledge of the carcinomoma cell blood perfusion characteristics. To solve the temperature on carcinoma cell, A noninvasive method (the finite element method) is used. The simulation results show that the finite element method is promising for estimating the complete corcinoma cell temerature distribution, if some knowledge of the blood perfusion pattern is available.
In this paper, we present a complete isotropy analysis of a caster wheeled omnidirectional mobile robot(COMR) with nonredundant/redundant actuation. The motivation of this work is that the omnidirectional mobility loses significance in motion control unless the isotropy characteristics is maintained well. First, with the characteristic length introduced, the kinematic model of a COMR is obtained based on the orthogonal decomposition of the wheel velocities. Second, a general form of the isotropy conditions of a COMR is given in terms of physically meaningful vector quantities which describe the wheel configurations. Third, for all possible nonredundant and redundant actuation sets, the algebraic expressions of the isotropy conditions are derived to completely identify the isotropic configurations of a COMR. Fourth, the number of the isotropic configurations and the characteristic length required for the isotropy are discussed.

This study concerns an advanced 3D surface reconstruction method that the vertices of surface model can be completely matched to the unstructured point cloud measured from arbitrary complex shapes. The concept of bounding voxel model is introduced to generate the mesh model well-representing the geometrical and topological characteristics of point cloud. In the reconstruction processes, the application of various methodologies such as shrink-wrapping, mesh simplification, local subdivision surface fitting, insertion of is isolated points, mesh optimization and so on, are required. Especially, the effectiveness, rapidity and reliability of the proposed surface reconstruction method are demonstrated by the simulation results for the geometrically and topologically complex shapes like dragon and human mouth.
Several authors suggested that the clinical characteristics of incomplete presentation of Kawasaki disease are similar to those of complete presentation and that the 2 forms of presentation are not separate entities. Based on this suggestion, a diagnosis of incomplete Kawasaki disease in analogy to the findings of complete presentation is reasonable. Currently, the diagnosis of incomplete Kawasaki disease might be made in cases with fewer classical diagnostic criteria and with several compatible clinical, laboratory or echocardiographic findings on the exclusion of other febrile illness. Definition of incomplete presentation in which coronary artery abnormalities are included as a necessary condition, is restrictive and specific. The validity of the diagnostic criteria of incomplete presentation by the American Heart Association should be thoroughly tested in the immediate future.
